This was one of the best car buying experiences ever. I'm 63 and a former car mechanic. I've bought over 200 used cars in my lifetime for myself, family, and friends. I've always preferred buying used from private owners. I've had too many unfortunate experiences with small used car dealers. However, this small dealer, Blue Ocean Auto Sales, is a total gift to the car industry. Freddy, the owner, sets a great example for all small auto dealers. Freddy is authentic, honest, and passionate to serve his customers. He went so far out of the way to serve and exceed our expectations, that I was stunned. Being very cautious at first while on the first phone call to inquire about a 2006 Lexus SC430, I found Freddy to be incredibly humble, courteous, and very honest. Funny, too. After three phone calls to confirm the talk was aligned with his walk, we decided to go visit the dealership. Driving up, I was dismayed by how small the dealership was and the condition of their building. After meeting Freddy and his finance manager, I realized that I was much too judgmental. This is a place where you can NOT judge the "book by it's cover"! It's like buying a car on a lot in Mayberry. Nothing about the their place will really impress you, except Freddy and Mark, the finance manager. They are just so unpretentious, authentic, and caring. They place ALL their focus on helping you get what you want. My wife and I have been married for 35 years and we bought this Lexus for her birthday. Freddy went all out to please her. He had the front leather seat completely refinished, detailed the car, and even installed new windshield wipers for her. I've waited for six weeks to write this review just to make sure nothing went wrong with the Lexus. This car has far surpassed our expectations! Freddy even had his Dad go to the DMV to get us a special 911 Patriotic License plate we had requested. I could not recommend this dealership more to anyone. Don't let the outside characteristics dismay you. Freddy and his business restored faith in us that good guys are still out there! Blessings to him and his team!

Was initially told it was a 1 owner vehicle. After purchase, took to HONDA, advised 2 previous owners. Freddy is a liar. Advised me that the only thing that he had to replace was the A/C compressor as he blew out while driving Honda to Fort Lauderdale. After purchase, constant clicking sound from back door. Called Mark the Salesman and told him that if they were aware that car does not lock and advised him if anyone was aware of the constant clicking sound. I mentioned that I knew it was purchased "AS IS' but was wondering if anyone heard that constant sound. Mark stated no. Hard to believe that car was driven to Fort Lauderdale and back and Freddy didn't hear sound. Mark advised to bring in and they would look at it. Went there and talked with Freddie's dad, Jay. Jay stated that that was a safety issue and would make appt. with his shop to repair at no cost and would call me by Thursday to bring car in. No call Thursday, I called Friday and asked for Jay and was transferred to freddy. Freddy stated that if I was aware that it wasn't a 2017. He's a smart a--! I advised him that his dad considered it a safety issue as car would not lock and was scheduling appt to fix actuator at no cost. Freddy said to bring car in and we would take it from there. From past experiences with dishonest used car dealers they usually quote you a double estimate and then they offer to split the bill so customer pays total bill. This is the last car I will ever buy there. Am looking to buy my son a vehicle but guess where I'll never go. Dishonesty from the OWNER is disgraceful. Buyers beware, you better check each bulb and all functions before purchasing or you'll be told by freddy that it's not a 2017. Purchased actuator for $54.00 and installed. Problem fixed. Freddy has no business sense as I own a business. Repeat customers and referrals are your best customers. Guess who won't repeat going back nor referring anyone else to this dishonest dealer! On the other hand I will discourage anyone from going there. It's not the $54.00 it's the integrity and Dishonesty of the owner. Freddy.

I want to give a positive review for this business and staff! Even though I've decided to not purchase my next vehicle from them, I do want to share my positive experience for you to read!!! Freddy was excellent with communicating with me back and forth online messaging before I arrived. When I came to look at the vehicle I liked the fact that they stayed in the building to allow me some time to look by myself at the vehicle. I always hate when sales people hover over my shoulder as I try to just look to even see if I'm interested in it! Lol! They gave me space and time that I needed. Then they allowed me to drive the vehicle to my mechanic to do an inspection. By them trusting me and giving me the time i needed for this process definitely helped make this experience excellent!!!! Thank you Blue Ocean Auto for allowing me to do that! Mark is an excellent man to work with. He was very professional, laid back and easy to talk to, was able to multi task since he was on a phone call but still helped move along my process to make a copy of my license and get me the keys I needed to drive the vehicle to my mechanic, etc. Mark"s AMAZING BLUE EYES will continue to make eye contact with you so you know that he is speaking truth and being sincere. PS I was a little nervous at first with going into this neighborhood as a single female because the neighborhood is rough around the edges!!! Lol! I think you guys should paint your exterior of your building "BLUE"!!!! Because of the name of your business "Blue Ocean Auto Sales" a new fresh BLUE paint will look much better then the old GREEN color!!!! Lol

Prices are a bit over the top IMO. I went in looking at a F-150 with leather interior. I walked on the lot with a buddy of mine and the sales person didn't come out of the office. After opening the trunk, looking inside, popping the hood, looking at the undercarriage, still no sales person. I went into the office and a guy asked what I was interested in I told him and he grabbed the keys. He told me the asking price and it was 4k over a comparable lower milage truck I had just seen not an hour early at CarMax. He tried to start the trunk but the battery was dead. After a jump start with an dangerously old and damaged (loose wires on the charger, one of which was completely off) he got it started. It ran ok but once I saw it had 10k more miles than the CarMax one and the leather inside was in terrible condition I just left. I don't know what record you expect to have if the guy never even asked my name. Why would Google ask me for a review of the establishment if I wasn't there Fred. I am quite alright with my education on pricing thank you very much. I was trying to be polite with my IMO comment however if you want details there they are. Do you feel better about the review now Fred?

My experience with Freddy and his team was nothing less than 5 stars. I had been searching for a specific car (BMW 645ci / 650i) for a month and stumbled upon the perfect one at Blue Ocean. I test drove the car and they allowed me to get it inspected by my own personal mechanic, who signed off on the vehicle. He stated it was the best 6-series he had seen of my year/model and he has worked on Bentleys, Rolls Royces, Ferraris, and everything else. He's seen it all. Freddy and his team were very responsive in communicating, they were very professional, and just plain out cool guys. The buying process was very simple, and I had my plates in less than a week. This review come two months after my purchase and I'm still in love with my car. I highly recommend checking out their inventory, as they are straight shooters, and carry high quality inventory. We had been to two previous used car lots. First was just a joke and the second could not answer our questions about the vehicle we were interested in. So we furthered our search to Blue Ocean Auto Sales. They were very quick to respond to email communication. We set up a test drive and they had the car out front ready to go (unlike other car lots we had previously been to). The car was exactly as presented on line. The test drive allowed us to see that the car was in decent shape and would fit our needs. They were honest, upfront and the whole transaction was pleasant. They offered us a deal we could not refuse so we made a purchase that day. The paperwork was drawn up quickly and we were on our way. This is not an upscale car lot, but we weren't looking to hang out for the weekend, just to buy a car. The gentlemen working here are professional, kind and easy going. I would HIGHLY recommend them and would do business again at Blue Ocean Auto Sales.

Wow, great experience and very satisfied. We had been searching for our car for sometime and test drove many of the same model across Tampa and St.Pete, no others compared to the one we purchased for the same price. Freddy was very personable, friendly, honest and wanted to make sure we were happy. When we test drove the vehicle the rear air wasn’t blowing. He immediately took it to the mechanic shop and had it fixed the very next day. Even though he wasn’t even sure that we would be back, as I told him we were looking at a few more that day and I was disappointed that the air wasn’t functioning. He messaged me the next day and asked if I was still interested and that the air was fixed, the rear blower motor needed to be replaced. I returned the following day and everything was perfect and am very happy I bought my car from Blue Ocean. Thank you for working so hard to please your customers Freddy, a rare gem.

Called ahead of time to ask if anything was wrong with the car I was interested in. I was assured no, that everything worked perfectly. When I got there, the car wouldn’t even start. Waste of my time and I should have known to leave at that point. I was interested in another car but the seller wouldn’t negotiate the car price at all. (Despite that the spare tire wheel well was full of water and the spare was rusted out which was not disclaimed in the listing) Nowhere on their website do they claim “no haggle” prices. This was the worst dealership I visited in my car search. I was severely disappointed by a place that has such good reviews. UPDATE: In response to his bogus reply, I asked for a very fair $1,500 off (not $5,000), considering having to pay his high dealer fee on top of asking price and all that was wrong with the car. Beware, apparently dealers will say anything to clear their name.

Let me start off by saying if you’re looking for a decent vehicle & awesome and honest gentleman to work with this is your place !! And also you’re not going to spend alllll day either ! They are very friendly and professional and get you out the door in a timely manner!!!!! I drove multiple vehicles before purchasing & each vehicle I drove didn’t give me any issues and were all in great condition and all were identical to what I seen online & you also have easy access while a the car Lott to take a look at the car fax!! I’m very pleased with the vehicle I ended up purchasing, they understood my finances and insured I walked out the door paying something that I was comfortable with paying! No hidden fees or no gimmicks !!!! It was definitely a pleasure handling business with this dealership & I highly recommend!!!!!!

FRIENDLY -FAIR-FREDDY.....Saw the car on Carfax. Called , Freddy answered, I said is the price negotiable, he said if you come and see the car . I promise I will not let you leave without giving you a good price. We drove down just before closing. He gave us the key and said take the car for a drive and come then we can negotiate. Ran the car on the lot for 10 mins took it for a drive and he gave us FAIR price. Vehicle had some , minor cosmetic issues that he fixed. We bought cash so I have no idea about financing. GO to him first before you visit other dealership. Will save you a lot of time and frustration. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I had an EXCELLENT experience here! I bought a beautiful 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee at a great price. Paid cash. When I was checking out the vehicle, I had taken the radiator cap off. After I left, at the light, the temp gage goes all the way to the H. So I called Freddie and he came right to me. I put the cap on wrong! He added coolant and sent me on my way! He upgraded my warranty at no extra charge too. I'd definitely go back! Mike was also awesome as we did the paperwork. No pressure either! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I bought a car from them a month and a half ago and have been having problems ever since. I spent a lot of money and when I came up there to buy the car it made a little noise and when asked what that was they said it was nothing major and come to find out it is a $2000 job that needs to be done. I bought the car for my family because I have 3 kids and used my last to get it and I am very upset with their service. No one should buy from them. They are a scam. Really wish I could give them no star.

Freddy is super professional and gives excellent prices right off the bat which compete heavily with much bigger dealerships. Not many small used car dealerships like his. His inventory is made up well priced, clean, and well maintained vehicles. He has carfax on all of them. I just got a Toyota truck from them a few weeks ago.Which wasn't on their lot. I told them what I was looking for and they found it for me. And also my son joined the Navy and they found him a jeep and had it shipped to his base in Connecticut. They are very friendly . So if you want something other than whats on their lot. They will find it for you. Either way they are great.
