No music, darker lighting. Good for studying and relaxing. There are couches and plenty of tables. I love coming to this place every Wednesday with my friend group. We usually buy both drinks and food. Both are good quality, but a bit pricey for what you get. The employees who work Wednesdays have always been super nice, down-to-earth people who work super hard. Sometimes rushing to get a cafe full of orders all by themselves. Unfortunately, this Sunday was a bit of a sour spot. In my most recent visit, I came to play some card games with friends on a Sunday at around 1:40PM. Two of us bought drinks before starting and the other three were going to buy a drink in between rounds. It turns out that they closed at 4:00PM (we didn't check ahead of time, as they close around 9 on weekdays) and our first game lasted about 2 and a half hours. We were reprimanded on our way out by whoever the employee was (maybe the manager?) for not all of us buying something. That's kind of embarrassing for the cafe. It makes it look like they just care about the short-term and not about their regulars. The cafe wasn't even half-full so it wasn't like we were taking up a lot of space that other people wanted or anything like that. It's unfortunate that this happened given all the good experiences I've had here every week for the past year.
Bogani cafe is a nice little Cafe/Restaurant/Cafeteria/club, in a Strip Mall, at the corner of 23ave/111 street In Edmonton. I visited there on Easter Sunday, 4/4/21 at about 2pm.people can come and Spend a long time nursing a cup of coffee, Reading a book or a paper, without being Disturbed by an owner who is bent on selling, selling , selling. In my visit, the Waitress/ chef ( a student daughter of The owners) gently asked me for what I want to drink or eat. I settled on Chicken Rice soup, expecting some version Of canned soup courtesy of Campbell Soup or similar manufacturer. To my Great surprise, she served,on a large Plate ,a delicious home cooked soup(lots of solids) That I found she cooked herself( Beef Barley was the other soup of the day, Presumably as good). She volunteered To serve Other dishes, but I was satisfied and had to go. I recommend Bogani's Cafe for its good food and kind patient Owners. Prices were reasonable for The quality served.I recommend the place.
I met with my employees there today for a nice setting to have our meeting. We ordered almost everything on the menu and shared things amongst each other and the staff were great to prepare everything for us nicely in a timely manner and best of all the food was prepared nice and fresh. The staff service was very friendly and positive. I'll definitely attend this place again for meetings and recommended to everyone else who needs a great place in the south side.

This place is a bit of a hidden gem as it looks a little nondescript beside the giant, bright Sobeys and Shoppers Drug Mart signs. However, from the inside, Bogani Cafe is certainly very memorable and unique. The atmosphere and decor have somewhat of an "old" feel and look, which is very cozy to be in. The specialty coffee/espresso and tea drinks are excellent, and are certainly more worth the money than from a place like Starbucks. Bogani Cafe also offers a wide variety of lunch dishes (i.e. sandwiches, soups) and desserts (i.e. cakes). Although they are not quite as unique as the drink options, these food options are great and complement the menu well. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great cafe, or even simply a nice hangout spot. Check it out!
Had to check out this cute, cozy little café, which I learned from a friend. Took my husband for lunch and was greeted by worker Simone. What a pleasant lady! She’s the one that suggested the cabbage roll soup and I’m telling you…. AMAZING!! we were so very impressed with the comfortable atmosphere, the delicious food, and the wonderful hospitality. What a great place for not even a first date but a larger group as they have a lot of lounge areas, so great for private parties, and such. Apparently the new owner Nav has taken over… CONGRATULATIONS Nav! I would highly recommend this café for ANY event. You have a great café with a great future ahead!!!

It's just the perfect mix of everything. Art, cozy atmosphere, great service, huge place to work in, the best breakfast I have ever had in all of Edmonton, and their London Fogs are to die for. Only thing I would ever ask for is soy as an option/choice, but with almond and oat it's not a big deal. Very vegetarian friendly and the staff always takes their time with you.

This was an unexpected gem to find while Googling for a cafe that wasn't Tim's or Starbucks. The atmosphere is cozy, and it wasn't noisy or had obnoxiously loud music going. I ordered their Ruben sandwich, a London Fog, and a macaron decorated to look like a panda - essentially an Oreo flavored macaron. The sandwich wasn't particularly big, but it was tasty. The tea was perfectly flavored, and the macaron had a pleasantly chewy consistency without being overly sweet. Personally, I think the prices are a little high for what I ordered, so I don't think I'll order food there that often, as tasty as it was. I will, however, continue to visit for the atmosphere.
Family owned cafe with comfortable vibes. Food was excellent and prepared promptly. Great coffee, good selection of teas. The soup and Panini combo was delicious. Will be returning customers. They also have a lending library where you can share books.

Worst service, food, and drinks ive ever had. Ordered a macchiato and nothink like any ive ever had before and totally disgusting the coffee that we got was the grog and by far the weakest and worst ive ever had. As for the food we ordered a Nanaimo bar and after i tasted it was not suprised to find out it was store bought from somewhere else. And then there was the service we ordered out stuff to go and after paying the server/barista just dissapeared for about 10 minutes to the back. Then came back and didnt even offer an apology and just gave us our drinks. I will never set foot in this cafe again. Worst experience ever!
It was okay. Wouldn't reccomened doing a lot of studying here, as there are only a few power plugs for laptops, as well as no outside food allowed. Apples, salad, water, whatever it may be, as they push you buy thier items. Thier items are pricer than what you would normally find in coffee shops. Good for a small stop and spend 45 min - and hour here. Would not reccomened any longer as you would end up buying something that's slightly over priced. TLDR: This Is a dark, quiet small shop. Good for quick stops, but not to study or stay long. Food and beverages are a little pricey, and would be cheaper at Starbucks.
The atmosphere is okay. Lots of seating but very dark and not a lot of outlets (if you are planning to do work here). The coffee I got was great as was the soup! However, the soup comes with a piece of store bought wheat bread. Definitely not freshly baked. The service was also just okay. It appears only one woman works here. She comes off a bit harsh. She also often leaves for smoke breaks, which would be no problem if she wasn't the only person working, leaving no one to serve guests.

If you are a young-ish 20-30 something person, absolutely ignore the 4.6 average reviews. This place is outdated, dark, and dingy. The customer service is non existent - the one lady working there is cold, unfriendly, and completely uninterested. The food is absolutely average — the tuna melt came with warmed romaine lettuce… awful. The omelette came with “hasbrowns” which were just heated potatoes chunks. The iced latte was ok. There was just us on a Sunday morning which tells you something about the place.. overall avoid and will never be back again.
Haven’t been here since the fall, but the minute I walked in I could tell ownership had changed. Nice and bright; friendly staff. Clean. Reminded me of Bogani from the past. At one time this place was my place to go get some work done. I can see that happening again. Just had a coffee and a muffin today but the muffin was superb. Great cup of coffee too. Bogani Cafe is once again a hidden gem in the neighbourhood.

The gentlemen behind the counter was helpful and polite. I'm not much of a coffee drinker, when I ordered my drink I asked if I could get it done a certain way. He not only accommodate me but explained a few options and how I could order my drink in the future to avoid confusion. He wasn't rude, or condescending about it but kind and polite.
A small yet spacious cafe that is located in a convenient location (111Street and 23rd Ave). Great place to host meetings. Walking distance to the Century Park LRT so a very convenient sport to meet with people that take public transport. They also have a projector which you are allowed to rent for presentations and such, and an area which you can reserve for larger gatherings. Depending on the time of day it can get quite busy. Love the hot chocolate here and the baked treats have always been fresh.
A wonderful place, staff and owner. I have been popping into Bogani over the last few years, it's a great place with a wonderful atmosphere. The last time I was there I was lucky enough to meet the new owner who bought it about a yea ago, and was really impressed with his plans for the future of the cafe including live entertainment and really focusing on the community. I recommend Bogani to anyone in (or out of) the area!

Bogani Cafe is a wonderful space to plan an after-hours event! We hosted a 50th birthday party on the weekend and I can't say enough good things about our experience. The owner, Navneet, was professional, accommodating, and attentive to all of the details that helped to make our celebration perfect... Including technical support for our slideshow, delicious food, exceptional service from the staff, and reasonably priced rental and food/drinks. Bogani is a 5 star Cafe - All the way!!!
The Bogani Cafe was definitely deceiving in a good way. No music, darker lighting. Good for studying and relaxing. There are couches and plenty of tables... Compared to other cafes, they have a much bigger selection of food and drinks. Plus a very hard working lady with a charming personality. My 1st time there. Nice and cozy feeling. The London fog Tea latte I had was pretty good too. Also, They had a library where you could borrow books. I thought that was a nice touch.
Really nice hangout place with a small group of friends as there is lots of space so it never feels cramped. Warning though: expect to be scolded by staff if not every individual in your group made a purchase. Not acceptable to be a regular weekly customer who buys something 9 times out of 10 while visiting with a small group, where the majority of the group always buys something. Really sends the message that Bogani values your money over your continued support of the cafe.
I got a mocha and a dessert. The mocha was barely an ok (3 stars) but the atmosphere was new! This is the first time to see a cafe having events for its customers! Worth a visit for sure but they need to step up their game for their mochas.

The cafe had a nice calming feel to it and was larger on the inside than it looks from the street. There is a ton of options for food and drinks and if you like desserts you probably won’t be disappointed either. They had a library where you could borrow books. I thought that was a nice touch. I probably would have rated 5 stars but the macarons I bought were a little on the dry and crumbly side. Other than that it was a good experience.
First Time here,.. very clean and friendly establishment,.. we had the Classic Rueben Sandwich with hamburger soup,.. Yummilicious,.. almost as Good as Kelekis in Winnipeg. haha,.. sorry,.. ThanQ to the staff and owner for the Wonderful Service.

This tiny little cafe is a great precious find. It is on 111th and 23rd. The ambience is great. The menu is amazing. Lunch here is amazing, especially the Italian Panini. The only sad thing is it isn't open after 5:00 so if more people come in they will keep it open after 5:00. I love the lattes and the staff is great. There are lots of books and board games as well.

Came in because I seen the sign just by the Fresco parking lot entrance advertised they have bubble tea, came in and asked and said they don't have it. Cute little cafe from what I could see during my stop, bought a brownie that was pretty good. Just disappointed they didn't have what was advertised, please update the sign!

I went to Bogani today for the first time in a very long time and it was lovely! The new owner ( lovely, friendly lady) came up to me and asked how I liked the place and if I noticed anything different. The place has a fresh feel to it, cozy, local art displayed on the walls. The staff is very friendly, coffee was delicious, overall great vibe! Will be back soon!
The location and the decor is good. Overall ambience and food was good. But just 1 breakfast order took 1hr.... The server was very nice but struggled to serve 20 plus people alone. Extremely understaffed. This place has been great before but experience like this would lose their clients and reputation. Hope the management acts in time before they go out of business.
Nice cafe, however, their internet provider is terrible. Telus service requiring you to provide your email, name, and agree to Telus and their partners sending you promotional materials JUST to access wifi that every other cafe provides without all this hooplah. Please, get a new provider!

London fog was good. Food was ok for the price. Great location. It’s nice to support a local business versus a chain. Place could definitely use a renovation. (Using back of fridges as wall/dividers. And maybe some noise dampening—I could clearly hear a conversation happening at the very back of the cafe while I sat by the front window.

I ordered a Reuben. Made with a small portion of Montreal smokes meat and wine based sourkroute. It was okay. The cost is between 9.00-10.00. I wouldn't be lining up for it and as a sandwich connoisseur, I would overall pass. Lastly, the lighting is very poor, feels dark and dingy.

First time here. The place looks nice and comfy but dont be fooled. They made me wait 25 minutes for a breakfast bagel and the coffee I orderd tasted like leftovers of goat milk. When I told the staff that it tastes bad and asked for a new coffee, they looked at me like I fell from the moon. Waste of time and money, wont be going back
I love finding these independently owned cafes. They have such character. This one is like sitting on a street in Paris with very reasonably priced art work to check out.

The owner and her husband are kind and courteous and always smiling. They make the best egg salad sandwiches according to my daughter. The owner makes fresh cinnamon buns that are amazing and delicious. It is a casual and comfortable place to have coffee and a snack with family or friends. No loud music to have to compete with.
I really liked their coffee when I first visited so I decided to try some of their food and I have to say I'm very disappointed... the soup was a chunky mess and the quesadilla was mostly empty with bell peppers filling the space... barely any cheese or meat at all... hopefully they improve their food quality in the future...
Great tea selection! I hadn't been here until we had a community meeting here. There are a couple bug tables for groups of around 10, or studying. Also a few comfy chairs, and several tables of 2 to 4 chairs. Loved the cookie and hot chocolate I had the second meeting. Rumour has it a ukelele club meets here Sunday evenings
Great atmosphere, ideal place if you want to study, read or just relax with a coffee. However, I ordered nachos and ended up waiting 45 minutes for them. I felt bad for the waitress who attending over 10 plus guests which could be the reason why for the absurd delay. Hope management reads this and gets more staff working...

This place is has plenty of seating. It's a busy parking lot with only a few stalls in front but it's located in a strip mall with plenty of parking all around. The coffee menu is good. We are there early so a bagel is the only food item we've ordered. Lots of people around us seem to enjoy their food selections.
Searching for a good coffee shop in Edmonton, haven't found it yet. All drinks served in styrofoam and plastic, even when specified it's to stay- bagel sandwich was microwaved and floppy, and service wasn't great. This place has potential as the space is very cute but microwaving and styrofoam isn't my bag, baby!
My new place to go! There are not many charming cafe's like this left in Edmonton that aren't crammed in Whyte Ave. 10 years ago there were heaps, but Starbucks & Second Cups did - what they do - and local cafe's went extinct. Try one of there rooibos tea's, especially the chocolate one. Yeah, local cafes.
I love this cafe. Its inside. They have a take a book leave a book. They make great sandwiches and the best macaroons I have tasted in a variety of flavours. Please visit this Edmonton owned business. The coffee is phenomenal and I can't recommend this in any higher esteem. Just absolutely amazing!
Compared to other cafes, they have a much bigger selection of food and drinks. Service is quick too, even if it does get busy sometimes. This is probably one of the better cafes to retreat to do get work or studying done as it’s well-lit, spacious, and most importantly never gets extraneously loud.
Very cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The chai latte and carrot cake are my favorites and the staff is always so welcoming and nice. The new owners really care about the community and making Bogani a great place for people to come together

I have come to the Bogani Cafe for at least 5 years now, we hold a business networking meeting at this location once a month, and I normally stop in once a week. The service is always good, the food I have eaten so far has been great. We will continue going there on a regular basis.
Lovely, lovely local locale for delicious lattes, brunch and simple fare. Not only do they greet us with warm smiles, they remember our particularities. According to my 9yo: best café ever, has nice seating, delicious Smoothies, macarons and coffee (if you like coffee). Relaxing.
Had soup of the day, Cabbage roll, not bad, hit the spot. If your a big Reuben sandwich fan theirs is not a traditional style. It was with mustard and no cheese was present from what I could tell. Otherwise nice little café.

Amazing service, she was friendly and incredibly helpful. I in particular was super annoying with my inability to decide, and she didn't show any impatience what so ever. The cheesecake was amazing, all 3 of us agreed. New favourite cafe, loved the corner of books!
Very surprising based on the outside but I checked it out because it had such high ratings. Now I love it there. It's a beautiful cafe with bubble tea and normal coffee shop drinks. They also have the cutest macrons there in different animals or disney characters.
Used to be my FAVOURITE place to order from until I was ripped off! Ordered three sandwiches and a juice got one sandwich thrown on my porch step! Completely disgusted by this! And of course no one has tried to rectify it! I tried all day yesterday and nothing.
I actually quite enjoyed this place. The barista was very nice and even brought over our drinks. She was alone on a very busy night and kept a lid on everything. I got a London Fog and yes I did enjoy it. Nice coffee shop with a casual vibe and good service.
I paid $5 for a coffee. Worst coffee ove ever had. Terrible. My wife startwd coughing and almost throlew it up after taking a sip. The caramel latte to me tasted like cough syrup. But as u can see from the photo it lookes nice, shame about the taste.

I used to drink coffee with my Grandfather on Sundays here. Excellent memories, fantastic drinks as well. I'll be honest I've never had the food here so I can't say if it's good or bad but man, the hot chocolate is killer and so is their coffee.
Would rate it zero stars if I could. Absolutely disgusted with the food, order their tuna sandwich LOL it’s a joke. And the soup that I tried was extremely disappointing and I would have never ordered it if it had been described to me correctly.
I'm always looking through support local and not chains businesses I Love the atmosphere and service. The food is good and coffee selection is comparable the second cup. My meetings are always held there if I'm near the area. Support Local!!

Great place with space to study, chat, or read. They have quite a large menu with fair prices, and very friendly people. My only quip is that their hours are short on Sunday (but who can blame them?). Overall, a fantastic place to visit.
If I want a quiet place to study or read, this is the place. Great staff, lots of tea choices. Lots of seating. The Vietnamese Iced Coffees are the best in Edmonton, honestly. If I’m in the mood for cozy and quiet, I’ll come here.
Espresso is brilliant. Drink sizes are huge! Great value for money and friendly staff. Lots of space for sitting and chatting. Feels cozy. If you're in the area, I suggest you walk rght past Starbucks and give this place a visit!
Neat little cafeteria tucked between Sobeys and Heritage Medical Centre, southside Edmonton. Great locally cooked menu items. Ukulele drop in happens 3rd Sunday each month...beginners to winners. Fun out of the way eatery.

Super great little spot! Very good prices and everything I've tried was super tasty. I can't go often bc of the hours, but love everything else!
Just found this great coffee and food bar last week. Good lattes and the best blueberry muffins. Can't wait to try lunch. Love to support local.
Never expected such a large delicious chai! Very happy with this cafe and the barista was charming! Check this place out for a nice, cozy spot!
This place is pretty cozy. The sandwiches are awesome. Bubble teas are great to. Had some macarons. Well made. The staff are support friendly.
Great place to meet up, catch up and drink some coffee.

Cozy seating and friendly staff. Outlets and extension cords next to seats, wifi works. Locally owned. All you need in a small local cafe.
Best food and coffees here in the AM. Quite a great bonus VIP program they have there too! Great for meetings & small private gatherings.
This place has a really nice atmosphere and the drinks are amazing... good selection of lattes and a few good choices for vegans as well
