"Horrible service , had visited hospital 4 times for ultrasound scan !!! How come? First time a lady said all done perfect , just one day more asked me go back again as the report pic not clear , third time said the consultant wanted to double check , last time again the report not good"
Currently, I am not here for an op, which is great. I am in St. Mary's , which is a joy immediately I was told I was going to. I am so comfortable here and selfishly so. Not to much traffic. The efficiency I am experiencing is exceptional.. When I suggest that I must make a point: if I am correct I had to query about 3 medications. The first one was an error, given to me at the " wrong time " however I was getting. The second was I was going to get one tablet a day, when I should get 2 twice a day. ( of course a doctor has to " write it up." Naturally the patient is on the lowest rank and accordingly has to wait and wait and then again wait. The doctor could be dealing with an very unwell patient. Sure. Does that mean there is no other doctor available? By the way, the last two calamities were caused by human error. Why this happened I don't know. I had brought in my gp print out of all my medications. Also, for their edification, my weeks medications in a blister packs. I know full well they would not be using the blister pack but I gave it in as a helpful guide. So much for that, some wise owl decided to change them around. Separately, may I comment on the packets of biscuits which are distributed with tea or coffee or some other beverage at night time The biscuits are simply appalling. The other night, I was giving custard creams. Now there are cost cutting needs every where, but this goes beyond being reasonable. Secondly, currently the tea bags that are being used are probably more suitable for the English palate. They are by no means suitable in any fashion. There are two producers here in Ireland.
That's the way Hospials were and seemingly here are still run.Like our primary schools things get done. But are all the staff like the ones dealing wth me the same .You see ,the nurse who cared for me post op is my generation and she just got right down to it I don't suppose she's got a degree.Funny the two nurses involved in my prep were so personable and picked up on everything and the doctor who took pulses and listened to my heart was thorough but a funny thing happened on just being wheeled from the entrance of the theatre to the ante room.the attendant/porter made an adjustment to my pillow saying is that better .How could he have twigged I have severe arthritic pain in my neck wow that's much better and Máire was on to it straight away,so I can't spend all night on this except to say there was a miraculous harmony to the cadence and manner of treatment. As a teacher I feel sorry for the bureaucracy foisted on them all as they seek to chart it all while seamlessly treating us.I could tell you much more and hope to but thanks Mr Broe. Its chilling when the consultant looks like a young man.should I be going to spec savers. This is the real face of Catholic.it makes me feel really cared about
I’m 5 days post op. A complicated Total knee replacement. All I can say is wow wow wow I have had a few surgeries over the years and have to say the nursing staff, Theatre staff, the health care assistants, catering team, cleaning team and everyone involved in my care are the best, most caring professionals I have ever come across in my life Michelle, Gem, Art, Robel, too many to mention Everyone here on Sacred Heart Ward-are truly amazing dedicated people. Their kindness has astonished me. Nothing I mean nothing is too much trouble. The Bon Secour Dublin will definitely be my go to hospital from now on. Their infection control procedures are exceptional. I have stayed in a few Different hospital over the years but this is next level. I cannot thank you enough ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hello my name is Breege Forde and I was an out-patient in the endoscopy dept yesterday 15/2/19. I just would like to thank all the staff from the reception/admin to the theatre nurses and after care nurses for their great after-care, help and kindness...esp nurse Majella Quinn and Mary Murphy who took over after Ms Quinn went off duty and a couple of other nurses whose names I never got!! (I noticed their names on their name badges) I was in your hospital from 7.15am -4.15pm (I was longer than usual due to the fact I didn't take all my prep) and I couldn't have been cared for enough....Thank You again!!!! Nurses and doctors are the hardest working people I know and you all deserve more money, more respect and more appreciation!!!!
Horrible service , had visited hospital 4 times for ultrasound scan !!! How come? First time a lady said all done perfect , just one day more asked me go back again as the report pic not clear , third time said the consultant wanted to double check , last time again the report not good. Finally arranged surgery, waited from 10am to 2 pm to have operations. After the surgery , my surgery part swollen like a tennis ball, made couple phone calls, said the consultant would call me back ??!! 5 months now , still feel pain at somewhere , they didn’t arrange any checking after surgery?? Just said ring them if needed . But I called , no replies . Paid 3000 for surgery , no any after services ??? 1 star is too high score .
Complete lack of respect for patient confidentiality at the registration desk for outpatient diagnostics. Private and sensitive data such as name, address, insurance plan, procedure booked in for, name & contact details of next of kin & answers to Covid questionnaire etc broadcasted in an open corridor for others to hear. While waiting I also overheard a staff discussion where the Revenue Generating Administrator was told there was no need to log out of the IT system she was having difficulty with and how they are out of date. Completely unprofessional.
I was a patient in the Endoscopy Unit today, I just wanted to say starting from the consultant Dr. Danny Cheriyan was unbelievably kind and reassuring to me .I also wanted to highlight the kindness and efficiency of the Endoscopy nursing staff from Fidelma ,Nuala and Linda and especially Blessy and Vanessa in the procedure room , keeping me calm and reassured at all times. Vanessa voice was so soothing throughout the procedure. An all round pleasant experience. Also a note of thanks to Amy in the Admissions and Shauna in the Kitchen for all her care also
I attended this hospital today as a day patient. I could not be more complimentary of their services. It starts with the receptionist and hygiene facilities , given Covid-19. The hospital was immaculate and the welcome I received at reception followed through to every area I dealt with. There was no delay and everything was explained to me in great detail. I felt relaxed and comfortable going into my procedure. I cannot say enough about my visit and a big thanks to all staff I met today . Keep up the professional work .Laura Hanlon
I attended the Bon Secours. Hospital yesterday for a day procedure and without doubt it was great experience, nurses were fantastic and the the Dr’s also. The Anesthesiologist was just super and really put my mind at rest and my Consultant was the same, as was the Radiographer. I cannot find fault in any way and would highly recommend this hospital and for me it was lovely to see the Statues and Cruixfixes hanging which is part and parcel of our faith.Geraldine
Super positive experience with Bon Secure Hospital Dublin. Prof. James Paul O'Neill (ENT) was an amazing surgeon, and the staff was always helpful and kind. They ensured I had a smooth prep, surgery, and follow-up. I am so glad I chose Bon Secure Hospital and would highly recommend to anyone for the excellent and qualified nursing staff they have taking care of patients all the time with professionalism and kindness.
Was in bon secours hospital abt a month ago and i haved to say the level of care and attention was outstanding. I would especially like to thank Prof Mcnamarra is a fantastic surgeon and a lovely way with her, she really makes you feel at ease, so thank you. Also nurses Michelle and Anna were absolutely fantastic and very very caring, never experienced anything like that they were amazing .
Waited 1 hour and 20 minutes to check in today. The staff where just stranding around on there phones and chatting and then go on there break And people waiting. I'm coming here nearly 15 years and have never experienced that. The nurses where waiting on the admission staff to get things moving. They really need to to do something about this
I expected high standards from this hospital, from the care to the administration, and I am left with the aftermath of an ordeal that shouldn't have happened, distress and deep disappointment. The hospital did not hesitate to charge me €4000.00 for a 2 night stay, two negligent nurses and a complaints procedure that seems to perpetuate their appalling behaviour.
Had a spinal operation here with dr o'connor. He was absolutely brilliant. I was in so much pain before and now I'm pretty much pain free All the nurses are amazing they made sure I was as comfortable as possible. They always had a nice word to say or a ear to listen. Only thing that would get one star is the food. For a private hospital you would expect more
Avoid at all costs, appalling treatment during an overnight stay in this hospital. From my wife spending a night on a trolly after a preplanned overnight appointment, and being prescribed penicillin in error as she's allergic to it even though she was wearing a red allergy band. Plus a very poor response from the hospital when the above issues were raised
I was at the bon secours hospital today i couldnt fault the hospital the staff was just outstanding . when you come in to the reception i felt safe stright away because of the hygiene. I got a few proceades done . they were very quit. I would travel miles to go to this hospital it is the best hospital i have ever in . Keep up the good work.
An absolute disgrace waiting over two hours for a 12 o’clock appointment next time I will just go public, so uncomfortable sitting in a waiting room at the front door so many people in and out, iv spent nearly a year trying to keep safe from covid now I’m sitting in a hospital for two hours disgusting.
My husband had surgery before Christmas and was very pleased with the pre & post op care. V v pleasant and helpful staff in the Day ward. We had some queries a couple of days post op and found all members of staff including the Consultant to be on the ball and interested in sorting the issue out asap .
What an amazing, amazing, amazing, sweet, wonderful ladies called Liz and Sarah at the dressing clinic next to minor ops today. So friendly, had just gone in to get 2 sutures removed and the attention you get by the 2 ladies is wow. Thanks Liz/Sarah, you definitely need some form of recognition .
Had an overnight stay after surgical procedure, staff make u feel at ease. Day ward staff tend to every need. A special mention to Eleanor, the care assistants at night so caring. Very positive experience. All a credit to the nursing and caring profession... Keep up the good work ladies..
Super positive experience with Bon Secure Hospital Dublin. highly recommend to anyone for the excellent and qualified nursing staff they have taking care of patients all the time with professionalism and kindness. Very good hospital Very nice people Excellent care
Attended here today for a day procedure. It was a joy to witness so many of the staff being friendly and professional .From the receptionist through to the admittance team and on then to the medical staff, at all levels I received teriffic care and attention. Well done and Thank you.
Was told I would be transferred to this hospital. Was told when I rang them they had no idea. And had no system to see any information about me. Didn't sound professional to me. Didn't offer any help or any advice to help me. Girl who answers the phone sounds very uninterested.
I had a routine surgical operation recently in the bons secure. I couldn't recommend the hospital highly enough. Everything from the check in staff, nurses, care attendants, catering staff and my surgeon, Dr John Burke were so caring, professional and friendly.
Although I was a private patient today, I arrived too early and in need of shelter. As the larger hospital to the public was open, the staff on the reception and the cafe were most welcoming, the entrance is clean as are the toilets. Thanks to all the staff.
I recently had surgery and I had a really good experience in the hospital from start to finish. The lady who checked me in at 7am, the nurses, the physiotherapist, Dr Tierney and my consultant Dr James Walsh were all so lovely and put me at ease :)
Having been there twice in the last 3 months I can't thank the staff enough for their kindness and professionalism. Every staff member I encountered from the reception to discharge were so lovely. I got great care and the place was spotless.
Alfie & Mike in Phlebotomy department today were outstanding. I've been attending Bon Secours for a number of years now and the gang there are always so professional and go out of their way to put me at ease. Super team, well done ✅ …
If you have to go to hospital this is a great place to be , the complete staff are wonderful and treat you in the most professional way. I could not find any fault from the time of admission to my discharge. Wonderful people.
Had an endoscopy done today with Professor Murray,he was so polite and made me feel welcome. All staff were really friendly and professional and the nurses specially gave me all the care I needed. Highly recommended
Private hospital located in Glasnevin. Beside Met office, and National Botanic Gardens. Plenty of car spaces available for patients and visitors. Currently €2.50 p/h. Pay by cash or card. Wheelchair accessible.
In an out in less than an hour. The Consultant I went to see was excellent, everything ran very smoothly .The appointment time I was given was the time I was seen .If only the bigger hospitals could take a leaf
The Bon Secours Hospital in Dublin, Ireland, is a private hospital that provides a wide range of healthcare services, including medical, surgical, and emergency care. Wonderful doctors and nurses and staff.
Very, very poor service. I spent €750.00 for 2 scans/MRI's in November 2023. Five calls later I am still waiting for my disc to be sent to me! Unfortunately, I will never use your facilities again! Theresa.
Once again I find the Bons to be th e best hospital I have ever experienced, both as a patient and a doctor. They manage clinical excellence and efficiency with kindness and friendliness. How do they do it
Dirty toilet areas, over flowing bins. Pokey wards. Place is old and tatty and in need of a deep clean. Staff were lovely apart from one nurse who was impatient. So many imposing, creepy religious statues.
My 92 year old Dad had to have an eye procedure. He is fully deaf, minimum mobility and diabetic. The care that he recieved from the Nurses was amazing. Especially from Nurse Joanne. Thank you so much.
Though I had done was there 4 3 and a half weeks in St Mary's wards words not say enough 4 my staff 2 the lovely friendly canteen staff nurses are not paid near enough 4 the work they do 100 per cent
Private hospital a little dated in appearance but a lot faster than the public system. All the top services are catered for and if paying without insurance prices are reasonable in comparison
I had the most fantastic care at Bon secours hospital, and professor Arnold hill and his team were incredible before during and after my surgery. I’m very thankful for it all.
The best hospital I have ever been. Everything is well organised, staff is incredibly professional and helpful. If you have to go to hospital I definitely recommend this one.
I recently had minor surgery in the Bons. The efficiency of the process, the quality of the care was excellent and I would have no reservations recommending the Bons. David
Wonderful professional staff. This is the best hospital I have been in. Couldnt wish for better treatment. The food was excellent as well. Mr. O'Connor was a fab surgeon.
Good parking.Strict adherence to Covid precautions.Seen promptly by Specislist;expert diagnosis.Tho unexpected prognosis would have trust in this Hospital!.
The experience of endoscopy is awful, I waited nearly 3 hours and the doctor was very rough when doing colonoscopy. I won’t go back there anymore
Totally fantastic admin, nurses and doctors here.....every aspect is done with care and personal attention...makes a difficult situation so easy.
Recently had surgery here.couldnt rate this hospital high enough all staff docters nurses were very intentive and always at your side
I would just like to say thanks you to all the very friendly and very talented staff Thank you very much from the moment I walked in
A wonderful hospital, great service all round, it was a very pleasant experience and a special thank you to the super Elaine Willett
Would highly recommend the Bon Secours Hospital as Doctor's,Nurse's & Staff really took good care of me while I was there...
Day ward registration etc is like being processed in a Cattlemarket. It improves after that. Ward staff are very nice.
I have had really bad experiences in some hospitals. Not in this one. The nurses were so nice. Thank you for that.
In my opinion my husband didn't receive the care and attention he needed at the Bon Secours in July 2014.
It's a hospital, not exactly a customer service experience, but on that front it was fine.
Fabulous facilities Managed well with kind attentive medical/ nursing, and care assistants
Amazing staff couldn't do enough for my stay thanks to all the nurses and staff …
