Would give a zero if possible! A relatives dog has been suffering and been very sick. Admitted into this vets to be told blood has to be taken and some sent off to a different lab. He was admitted over last weekend and bloods where taken and the vet said it could be pancreatitis. Bloods were also sent off to an off-site lab & my relative was told to expect a phone call by Monday lunchtime at the lastest. No phone call was received with the blood results. The dog was also discharged without any medication home, when on the bill he was meant to have medication to help his acid reflux. The vet just decided to take them off the bill instead of giving them. The vet said that the dogs appetite should come back within the next couple of days, which did not happen, even when trying to feed him by hand. He was still not himself and would not even greet people at the door, he just layed on the floor very lethargic and unwell. We took him back to the vet on the 29/10 because he was still unwell. He was just given antinausea and sent back home. They told us to email if we had any concerns! We noticed over the days of the 30 & 31/10 that is snout area had turned yellow and when comparing pictures before it was pink. Yesterday we noticed his whole belly skin was yellow and he was suffering from jaundice. We still since all this has happened have not had all the blood results back and we have spent a lot of money trying to figure out what is going on with him. We sent an email to the vet with pictures advising them of what was happening. Email was sent back, which was very unprofessional. Stating the vet "Matt" wasn't there and they will pass the email to him but if we were concerned to call, they also informed they tried to call my relatives parents on the 29/10, we were there anyway that day so it isn't relavent in the slightest. No answer as to why he would have it or even have another vet email us back. Phone call to Boronia Vets that afternoon, receptionist was a demon and a half. "What do you want me to do?" We explained we have spent so much money and we still don't know why he isn't well, he still isn't eating, we want to know why he has jaundice etc. She snapped at us on the phone saying "Well, what do you expect me to do? I'm not a vet.". We asked to speak a vet on the phone and she made excuses that the vet we saw wasn't here, we explained we've seen 3 different vets and surely one of the could chat to us. The receptionist refused and then said to bring him in and we could discuss payments. It isn't about the money it's about the fact that we haven't had any communication about what is happening with our dogs. We explained that it wasn't good enough and that we wanted to speak to the vet there and we don't care about the money. She got very aggressive and said that she will terminate the call, because we were abusive! We informed her we would not be returning. We admitted our boy into Animal Aid on Scoresby road and they have been nothing but polite! Sending us pictures of him! They said they suspect a liver infection and pancreatitis and if he didn't come in sooner he would have been very ill and possibly dead! This vet clinic is the biggest waste of time! Avoid at all costs. The receptionist is nasty and vindictive. She could care less about your animals safety. The unprofessionalism of this company is not okay! Their lisence to practice needs to be revoked. If you want your dogs to suffer or any animals for over a week, then sure, take them to Boronia Vet! If you want your animals to survive, then AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Consultation was poor and no options were given, regardless that their website touts this. My dog presented as mildly unwell after eating raw mince which he was not used to three days prior, and even though he was getting better, I just wanted this verified. However, the over-medicating, at the cost of $150 has made me feel ripped off. An anti-nausea injection was quickly given whilst the vet was still talking and did not wait for consent; plus our dog had never even vomited. We were also given pro-kolin for diarrhoea even though he didn't have it. I spoke to the vet who put it down to a miscommunication and apologised, however, I am still out of pocket for her mistake. After multiple complaints, I was finally able to talk to the owner Matt Costa who said he did not agree with me, stood by his workers and openly admitted he only believed the vet who saw my dog. Explaining I have had dogs all my life, sixty years, and I had never been swindled like this before, he became frustrated and angry, hanging up on me as I was still talking.************In response to your reply below, as stated previously my dog was getting better, therefore medication was unnecessary. It is not a common approach for a dog who never vomited and whose diarrhoea had ceased to be given medication for symptoms that don’t exist. Asking for a different approach is a ridiculous statement. I have since verified what you did is a classic case of over-servicing. In other words – unfairly maximising profits.******

Everything that happens at this veterinary practice is of the highest professional standard. The reception staff respond to calls with courtesy, understanding and patience ,even at the busiest of times. Our dogs are always eager to go inside and see the attending vet. Every vet who has helped us with our dogs, and our cat, has shown genuine concern and compassion for the animals and for our peace of mind.We have attended this practice for over 17 years. When our beautiful Labrador, Nina, reached the age of 16 human years and was sadly not well, Dr Matt attended to her passing with the greatest compassion for her, and us.The same caring, compassion was also afforded us on the passing of our cat, Spock, The nurses are amazing when your animal needs to be in the hospital . They attend to the animals with the same love and care as the vets. The out of hours service at this practice has been invaluable for us in times of stress with a sick animal very late at night. It is very reassuring to know that help is always available at any time. Our new, exuberant Cavador regards Dr. Matt as his best friend. every time he sees him. Even though there are many vets near our home we will always travel the 45 minutes to Boronia Veterinary Clinic where we know that we are welcomed and our pets loved and cared for with kind compassion. Thank you to all the staff, reception, vets and nurses who help us when we need you. As I was told by a friend,"the best ever place to go with your animals"

We have been going to the Boronia Veterinary Clinic now for 15 years. The staff are always friendly & compassionate at all times which makes the visit an enjoyable one, especially when our beloved dogs aren't well. We have been seeing Dr Dan Tung for the last 12yrs and have complete faith in him as he is truly the most outstanding vet we have had for our family dogs over their lifetime. He is caring, loving, competent , clinically the BEST and brightest and goes beyond being a vet. Having recently moved we are visiting and interviewing vets because no one can measure up to the high standards of care we receive from Dan and the staff at Boronia Vet Clinic. We've decided we will travel the 2 hour drive to Boronia Vet simply because we feel peace of mind knowing they have our fury kids best interest at heart. Our dogs had medical issues necessitating advanced clinical services, surgery and diagnostic testing which Boronia Vet were more than capable in handling. Their fees have always been very reasonable and we have never had anyone try to upsell. The vets and staff at Boronia are always professional and have provided the best care and service to us . We recommend Boronia Vet Clinic as the best of the best .In 15 years and counting we have always received exceptional clinical care and compassionate service . We can't thank you enough Dan and all the staff for caring for our furry family members & us.

We had our two puppies sterilized at this Vet on the recommendation of the breeder. We thought it would be better to go with their recommendation. We were wrong. Shortly after dropping the dogs off I received a phone call from the Vet & was Upsold - 2 x puppy teeth extraction. On collection I was sold 2 x Cones (not included). I was also upsold 2 x New collars as I was shamed by the vet in Reception, who shouted at me in front of everyone, saying the puppy ones were way too tight. (untrue as they were only 6 months old & I could fit three fingers under the collar ). This was before I even got my puppies back. In fact the new collars purchased, when on smallest setting were way too large and the cones came off the puppies heads on the way home, damaging the stitches. I had no help from the staff getting two woozy puppies back to the car on my own. In fact they were hurrying me to get to the next customer. One of our dogs had blood on its paw where it’s nails has been clipped. One assistant was helpful and kindly put anti inflammatory cream on the dogs as she saw they were suffering. I was told by our new vet that a tattoo on the dogs inner ear is cruel and an antiquated practice. Won’t be going back.

We have a very elderly Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who had a horrible attack of what looked like a stroke. She was very distressed- as were we -and went to Boronia because they were open a bit later than our local vet. I was so glad we did. Even in this strange time of COVID, they were sympathetic, understanding and thorough as well as being very quick with results. Everything was explained to us clearly but never in a condescending manner. Luckily, the main concern was vestibular disease, quite common, and while distressing, she will recover, but during the testing they found how much her heart had deteriorated. They phoned to check in several times, and, over the phone, the radiologist explained everything to me from her x-rays to give me a real understanding of what was happening with our dog's heart and we felt so considered. When we returned a few days later to get some medication, it was fast, well explained and not at all expensive. Thank you to Tony, Brooke and Anna as well as all the other staff. Bessy is doing really well and the medication has definitely helped. We will be going to you from now on.

I have been going to Boronia Vet for many years now, they have looked after 3 of my dogs and 3 of my cats. At times when I have been unable to pay the full cost of treatment they have given me the option to pay in instalments. They have always been professional and kind, and have always given extensive information around treatment options. Last week I had to make the difficult decision to put to sleep one of my cats. He was only 5 but had been sick for a couple of years. Gianne handled the situation so incredibly beautifully and was patient, supportive and professional during the visit. It made all the difference during such a difficult decision and process. It was quite late at night and probably at the end of a very long shift and a stressful, busy day for her, but she didn’t show it. I could not be more grateful for her support and kindness. Thank you Gianne for being with me to say goodbye to my beautiful boy Link, and for sending him off as peacefully as possible.

When our cat needed urgent care, my family struggled to find a VET that was able to take him in and perform surgery at such short notice. The Team at Boronia Vet Clinic immediately responded to our call for help, and since leaving our cat in their care, have exceeded our expectations in every way. Not only did they take on an emergency situation, but found a solution through surgery to further prevent issues for our cat, this had never been offered to us in previous experiences. They messaged and called us several times over the span of 2 days, to keep us in the loop, and were so warm and friendly throughout the whole process. Financially they are so affordable which blew my mind considering the high level of care we received from them. Although our visit was unexpected, we will continue to return to Boronia for our cats further care. Thank you especially to Matt who went above and beyond. We look forward to many more great experiences

I phone this clinic to make an appointment for my 5 year old dog who was limping intermittently after exercise. I mentioned on the phone to the receptionist I would prefer to see a vet that was experienced in this area to be able to possibly identify what the issue could be. I was told I had an appointed with a highly experience vet in dealing with these issues. When I arrived for my appointment and asked which vet I was booked in with and I was told no vet in particular and to take a sit as the next available vet will attend to my dog. I was a bit disappointed as I thought I was booking in with a vet that had dealt with this issue. The vet I had, even though very nice, was very inexperience and could not find anything wrong and suggested I give my dog anti-inflammatories and come back in two week. I now need to get a second opinion after spending over $100 without any result.

1 star because of terrible experience with a vet who did not even attempt to try to be friendly with our dog instead wanted him muzzled and stood in the corner as if waiting for an attack. This vet honestly seemed like he was terrified even though our dog was sedated, was not being aggressive and was responding to commands such as 'sit' in response to treats from us. All he had to do was give him a shot for goodness sakes. Total waste of our time. This may be a good vet to go to if you have a small dog but I can't say I would recommend if you have a dog that is STEREOTYPED as being 'dangerous'. Such a shame. The lady vet that we saw prior to this at least tried to build some connection with our dog unlike this other vet who did not even give him a chance or use treats. The reception staff are lovely but experience ruined by this one vet, we will not be returning.

Not happy with the service. Brought our elderly cat into clinic 12 months ago. We saw a gentlemen who told us there was nothing wrong with her, just that was ageing despite matted fur, increased water intake and continence issues. Came back within 2 months with her having seizures. Saw a lady who was very helpful and diagnosed her with hyperthyroidism. Couldn't have asked more from her. However, from the clinics perspective not to offer scripts for medications is really disheartening. We consistently asked but kept getting pushed back until we got it 6 months diagnosis. We got charged triple the price at the clinic for medication when we could get it from chemist warehouse. Overall, vets were either really good or really suspect And do not get medication from that clinic! Now we've moved to mountain gate which we're very happy with now

My little cat was a patient of Boronia Veterinary Clinic over her 16.5 years, and I wouldn't have taken her anywhere else. My cat wasn't a people person, so the clinic would always make sure one of their 'cat vets' would see her (and she would reluctantly cop to that). Whenever my cat was difficult to get into her car carrier, the Boronia clinic were happy with a phone call to delay appointment times (generally really good operators as long as you remain in contact and with reasonable expectations). Finally, when the difficult time came to euthanize my dear old girl due to advanced cancer, the vet (Marie) who dealt with my cat, went above and beyond compassionate, kind and helpful through the devestating process. I have never had anything but good things to say about the team at Boronia. Thanks for all your good work over the years.

I can not speak more highly of the Vets & nurses at Boronia Vet Clinic. My family have been taking our animals there for over 30 years. In recent times Dr Steve has cared for my elderly dog who had to be euthanised at 15 years old. The empathy & care shown at this very difficult time was very much appreciated. This week Sammy very suddenly became ill & was rushed in after hours. The on call Dr met us at midnight at the clinic. Sammy was diagnosed & hospitalised for a couple days on a drip. Dr Matt rang me each morning before 8am to update me on how Sammy was going & to discuss treatment for the day. The phone calls were never rushed & all my questions & concerns were addressed. I was able to visit Sammy whenever I wanted to & drop his favourite toys in. Thank you for everything you do. Definitely the best clinic going around!

While the clinic offers a variety of services and have great veterinary staff its let down by the reception staff. While arriving 10mins early and waiting for a text to enter (i like that its helps reduce the amount of animals in the waiting area) i get a text with the wrong information. I then call to confirm and told to come in. Thats two interactions I've had with reception staff in 5mins. I then enter and wait 15mins. Watching others go in, i then enquire about our appointment. Only to be told ' you should have come up to the desk'. Doesn't the message negate this process, plus tells me to have a seat, not to present to the desk. They were expecting me, and its not hard; in fact its a common skill, to oversee the waiting area. At one stage i was the only one in there and not one of the 4 receptionists thought to ask.

I wish I had the words to explain how incredibly grateful I am to Dr Matt Costa & the amazing team at Boronia Vet Clinic for their incredible care and love shown to not only my Krugie Bear (my 10yo black GSD), who was extremely sick, but also to me. The way Krugie & I were treated (& many times I was in tears) was beyond all expectations. My dog was extremely sick & had life saving surgery by Dr Matt Costa. His kindness & care & explaining everything to me every single day was outstanding! The reception staff were absolutely beautiful, as were the vet nurses. Everyone was! Every vet I saw, every team member I encountered were exceptional! I have nothing but gratitude & appreciation for this incredible vet clinic ❤️ Krugie also thanks you for what you did so he could come home with mum ❤️❤️

Absolutely wonderful vet, highly highly recommend. We unfortunately lost our two older dogs within a few months of each other, both times we took them to Boronia vet for treatment. All the staff were so lovely, caring and patient. Both times we had to be squeezed in at very short notice and everyone was so accommodating and never made us feel like a burden. Staff went above and beyond to give our dogs (and us) the best care possible. They listened to our concerns and questions and we never felt pressured to make a quick decision. This is not the closest nor easiest vet for us to get to but we will be customers for life. Unfortunately I can’t remember the name of the vet we saw back in May but we saw Michelle today and I just wanted to say both of them were truly wonderful.

  • rhiannonzarah

All this vet cares about is the money. I, like many others am struggling financially due to covid-19 and have a vet bill from my dog going there, he cut his leg open on a rock while playing fetch in a grassy reserve and i called them to ask if i could bring him in, but wasnt able to pay his full vet bill as i had no money, they told me i couldnt bring him in because i already have a bill to pay (which i have been paying consistently!). Despite it being an emergency as his leg was pouring out blood, they did not care! I go to mountain gate vet clinic, they are amazing and said to bring him in and i didnt have to worry about paying right away if i couldnt. I will NEVER come to boronia vet again, they would rather let your pet die than have the vet bill paid off over time!!!

  • nikki howlett

I wouldn't recommend Boronia Vet. They are a nice big service, and professional, but that's the problem - too many vets and the details get lost and sometimes vets without enough experience to make sensible decisions. From a very minor thing like a vet recommending a second vaccination, that when I bought her in for, another vet said wasn't required, to not doing proper handover between vet and radiographer, so that information was not shared and an issue not checked, to being admitted for 2 nights to the animal hospital with no treatment, no diagnosis and a $1000+ bill. She still has that issue today and finally I've taken her to another vet and seen the way they examine her and take care, I really understand the difference in care from a smaller practice.

  • Catherine Argyros

Its taken me a little while, (Im new to the area) but finally Ive found a professional service that is reliable and doesnt want to fleece you. Knowledgeable vets and caring staff means less stress for me. Today they gave me great advice which saved me $$$, they also helped me track down and retrieve my cats vaccination records, which Ive been trying to do for a few months now. Previous vet was so disorganized which added undue stress on me.... with holidays coming up, and needing to board my cats, who needs that stress? Certainly not me, so thank you to the ladies on reception who helped me get these records, again saving me money and the need to over vaccinate my cat. No more shopping around for me, Ill be bringing all my animals here from now on.

  • Todd Graham

I have nothing but praise for all of the vets and reception staff at Boronia Veterinary Clinic. My dog went there for her whole 13 and a half years of life and she only ever received outstanding service and care. More so towards the end of her life the care stepped up a notch and they were very understanding right up to the very end when she was laid to rest. Everything was explained in a professional manner and I did not feel like they were trying to convince me of anything at any stage. They just advised of how they thought my dog Milo was feeling and what her issues meant. Many thanks to the team and if one day I ever get another dog I will definitely be going back there as a customer. R.I.P my beautiful Milo you were well cared for xx

  • Tingting Liu

They are so so caring for me and my cat!!! very kind and friendly people at the reception and all vets! I'm so grateful that they gave me lots of advice over the phone and in one case they worried about my cat's condition so they spent quite lot of time talking to me. today my cat didn't want to go into the cage so I had to drive him to the vet without cage. Both me and my cat felt so stressed. Ana the vet was so patient to bring me a cage and helped me get my cat out of my car and also helped me to work out a plan to put him back into the car after the appointment. After the check up, talking and help that I received, i feel so much more relaxed and relieved. I'm so grateful for having such a wonderful vet clinic near my home! Thank you!

  • Toni Graham

These guys were fantastic. After our regular vet refused to listen to concerns for our dog and simply sent us home, we decided we had to go somewhere else to get our pup some medical attention. Boronia Vet squeezed us in straight away. Stephen -Vet listed to what I had to say and my concerns. Not knowing either pooch or myself he took me seriously, understood I knew my dog better than anyone and acted straight away sending us to emergency. A few hours later my little guy passed away from internal bleeding. Thank you Boronia Vet for making time for us and to Stephen for listening and acting. We don’t live near you but if we ever get another dog, we will be bringing it to your practice

  • Amanda Clinton

I've always used this vet for both dogs and cats. What I want to say is too long so in a nutshell, through aging pets with cancer, heart attacks and general surgeries they've been second to none and openly communicated with my old dogs oncologist etc and doing as she recommended without ego or hesitation. They're compassionate, considerate and take each pets needs into account. My last girl is 9 and a nervous dog. They got blood from her and within the hour I got results. They cared and took my wants into consideration also giving my girl a full work up of bloods etc without a hassle. 5☆☆☆☆☆ & A1. I'll never go elsewhere even if I move.

  • Hayley R

We were told our 7 year old Westie needed surgery to repair his torn ACL and needed surgery sooner rather than later. Day if surgery got a phone call saying that no surgery was needed as it was arthritis not a torn ligament and slapped with a bill of $280 for the general anesthetic that he never needed in the first place. Very dissapointed. Feel completely taken advantage of. So pleased our dog didn't need surgery, but come on guys. He's an old boy who would have been better of NOT having a general anaesthetic and risking his life for nothing. You're specialists for a reason! Will not be returning to Boronia Veterinary clinic.

  • Natasha Cassai

I have had previously good experiences at this vet but after not being back in years, I was disappointed today by a staff memeber at the front desk. I brought in a lost dog which I had gone through a lot to rescue from a busy main road in the rain. The larger dog was very frightened and I was puffed out and stressed. The staff member criticised how I was acting/ controling the dog and spoke down to me. I felt bad that I was not calm and struggled to control the scared (but gentle) dog but her behaviour was rude. Considering the circumstances a better delivery on her end would have been appreciated

  • Karina

Boronia Vet clinic treated the symptom. Issue reoccurred. Insisted on surgery to ‘fix the problem’. (2k bill so far.) Saw 3 different vets there. (One older male vet was good, in saying honestly surgery might not even help.) The others didn’t listen to the surrounding information that caused the problem, and what was hindering recovery. Sought a 2nd opinion from Montrose vet, whom listened to the problem, helped talk through and find a solution to treat the cause. Meant no surgery, a couple of hundred vs a further 2.5k. Kitty thriving, recovered, no surgery needed. Go with Montrose. Great vets.

The decision to euthanise our beautiful old boy was one that obviously wasn’t easy. However, what did help was the most compassionate, calm and wonderful vet Kate. Having Kate talk me through all the possibilities, as well as the outcomes eased the guilt you carry in making the decision about a life. Her beautiful and loving nature was so evident. Her care with not only me, but with my poor old Marlie was nothing short of perfect. My boy had such a calm and peaceful death. I couldn’t have wished for it to be anything more than what it was. Thank you Kate. Forever grateful for your care.

I had been to this clinic a few times and was extremely happy with the service until a recent encounter. I called the clinic to cancel an appointment i had made as I was kept back at work and not able to make the appointment in time, hence why I called in advance to cancel the appointment. The lady I spoke to was disgustingly rude with the way she spoke to me. Whilst I was on the phone I was going to make another appointment for my dog but after being spoken to like that I won’t ever take my dog back here. Really disappointed as I thought this clinic was quite good until this happened.

I should have gone here sooner! I had know they had been in the area for over 40 years, but was loyal to another local vet. But after excessive charges, no investigation and that vet was difficult and unfriendly - I finally went to Boronia Vet!!!! What an amazing place. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Our first experience was so caring, we will be back there again!!!! Don't waste your time on other vets if you aren't 100% happy - Try these guys!!!! (We also receive the most personal card from them on the passing our our much loved Gold Retriever)

  • Asha Jean

I stumbled into this after my dog and I had been attacked by two dogs while I was walking him. Needless to say I was in shock bloody and bruised and my dog in need of immediate attention. They took him in immediately and the whole staff were compassionate and exactly what you need in that situation. They kept me updated and informed even at 7am the next day. My little Monty made an astonishingly fast recovery and was wagging his tail like nothing happened when I picked him up which I attribute to the high level of care he received. Thank you guys

  • Christene Altamura

Thank you so much to all the wonderful staff at Boronia Vets - especially Dr. Tony who took such good and loving care of our 9 yr old Labrador - Amber Billie Grace. Amber lost her battle with cancer this morning, thank you to Dr Natalie in Tony's absence who so gently and kindly helped Amber make her final journey. We're sure Amber was with us a little longer because of the care she got from Tony - and we're sure the extra liver treats her spoilt her with helped too. She loved him. We only have high praise and thanks to Boronia Vet Clinic.

  • Melissa Elizabeth

This clinic is absolutely amazing! We were able to get one more year with our beautiful cat before he crossed the rainbow bridge because of them! We had seen 2 vet clinics prior who were very dismissive of him and had we not proceeded to get a third opinion we would have lost out boy much earlier, Boronia vet were on it and did not muck around. They have seen our other fur children as well and despite moving further away we will still travel the distance because of this clinic! They are wonderful and we trust them 100%.

  • Daryl Ngan

A big thanks to this clinic for keeping all my pets safe and healthy for the last 9 years. One of my pet passed away 2 days ago and the staffs (Especially Kate) has been very helpful in walking me through the process of getting my son cremated and allowing me to see my son one last time yesterday when I rocked up after work yesterday without any noticed. Very approachable staffs and I feel more bonded to this place than any previous ones I have been to. Thank you very much for looking after my pets.

  • Jo Johnson

'All' of the vets and staff are amazing here. I don't know how their prices compare to other places but I can say that I've been using them for over a decade and there's no price you can apply to how they treat all the animals there. There medical expertise is 100% and they treat the animals as if they were their own. I *adore my pets as they are little family members and I felt 100% at ease when they've had overnight stays or surgery there. I've recommended at least 20 people there and they all love Boronia Vet!

  • Shehan Rajanayagam

Wonderful people. Dr Matt Costa in particular is a great person, genuinely cares about both the pet owners and the pets. They had been looking after my dog Max for many years and showed him and us great love and compassion. Sadly we had to put Max to sleep, and the team there and especially Dr Costa gave us much comfort and helped greatly with the grieving process. Also there were instances where they did not charge for a consultation. Thank you for all you have done. I beyond highly reccomend this place.

  • Nicki B

We sadly had to say goodbye to our gorgeous Cavalier, Benji. This was obviously an extremely difficult time for us as we were losing a valued member of our family. The entire clinic, especially Dr's Charlie & Pheobe were truly amazing. They provided us with caring, compassionate support and ensured we were fully informed in order for us to make the best decisions for Benji. Thank you to you all, the kindness you showed really did make a difference, especially & most importantly for our boy Benji

  • Jo Lyn Whitlock

We have been taking our dog, Daisy, here the past year due to several allergy issues that keep coming back. Each time, we have found the place clean and orderly, and the staff friendly. Extra thanks goes to Dr Dan Tung, who has been so gentle with Daisy. He explains everything clearly and always discusses with us future prevention plans even before her infections keep coming back. I can't recommend this place highly enough!! Thanks Boronia Vet team, keep up the good work!!

  • Rita De Graaf

A huge and heartfelt thank you to Dr.Jas Pandher, who treated my seriously injured cat immediately, on Saturday morning. His thorough assessment and subsequent action - including major surgery-saved her a lot of pain and misery. I couldn't believe the good shape she was in when I picked her up the following evening. I'm also very great to the nurses who were kind, and generous with their time and followup advice.very grateful forandrecuperating quickly

  • Catherine Hemphill

I took my cat there who was acting very sick she was just felt around given a shot and sent on her way with nothing about if she doesn't bounce back in a few days. A week later I took her into another vet as she had gotten worse but it was too late there was a foreign object in her stomach and intestine that had gone septic and that was found on a quick x-ray. If they had just done so at the start I would probably still have me little girl with me.

After years of not having a regular veterinary clinic, a friend recommended Boronia Veterinary Clinic and Hospital in September when my cat son Dexter needed treatment. I have been so impressed in the visits since with how well they have diagnosed and efficiently treated Dexter's health issues. I have been so impressed with how quickly blood test results come back and how kind and considerate every staff member has been to both myself and Dexter.

I was recommended this clinic when we bought our much loved dog 3 years ago. They immunise her every year and thoroughly check her over. This clinic isn’t close to where I live. Most importantly when my dear dog became very sick (and the clinic was very busy and in COVID restrictions), they agreed to see her ASAP. Our much loved dog thankfully after treatment is healthy now and I’m thankful for Boronia Vet and recommend them highly.

  • Alexandra Walker

Every time we go to this clinic ALL the staff from reception, nurses to the vets are wonderful. I have a super scared of vets rescue dog and they treat him with such patience and kindness and never act frustrated by him being a little bit ridiculous. We are always able to get a same day appointment for those things that crop up that need to be seen soon but don't require an emergency visit. Can't recommend this clinic enough

  • Christie Jones

I would highly Recommend Boronia vets. My Little cavalier got mauled by a Pitbull, and the care treatment and love she got from all the staff, especially Tony the surgeon, Scott and Matt, was just incredible. Also the prices are VERY responsible. Would very highly recommend this vet. Thank you so much everyone at Boronia Vet Hospital., for giving my little Princess the best treatment. possible. You are all just incredible.:)

My little girl went in for emergency bowel surgery after eating a sock and some tights. She was very weak and didn’t look good on drop-off, but the staff at Boronia saved her life. I got updates every day when she was recovering, and the vets/nurses made her feel comfortable enough to eat (which is a big thing for her!), and gave her lots of cuddles. Fantastic, and very caring staff. Couldn’t recommend more. Thanks guys ❤️

  • Cobez

We had our pug in tonight for an emergency, we are so happy with the attitude and caring nature of the ladies and gents here. They are second to none. They are just the nicest and most caring people ever. We could not have been happier considering, you can tell they truly care about every animal that comes in and they care about their owners too. Thank you so much gals and guys you truly are a credit to the industry.

I called this vet this evening for an emergency situation for my Cavoodle puppy and they were AMAZING! The lovely person on the phone, then the reception staff, the vet nurses and the vet once we arrived. Thank you for keeping me calm and for seeing us so quickly to assist. I would highly recommend this vet to anyone and they also didn’t charge crazy after hour fees Thanks so very much, we really appreciate it!!!!!

  • Andrea Griffiths

My family and I have been going to Boronia Vet Clinic for some 35 years - many animals of lots of species. The level of care is second to none and all the staff are wonderful. We've had the whole range from general checkups to flat out emergencies to life and death situations and the care, compassion and skill of the vets and surgeons cannot be faulted. Would highly recommend these vets to everyone. Well done!

Dr Stephen Brown Is a wonderful caring Vet, nursing staff amazing. I travel over 30 minutes to Boronia Vet because my fur babies are in excellent hands. Unfortunately been here 3 times over short period once because my boy was to ill to go on and the car given was extremely caring. Bought myself a new baby and Dr Brown has seen we twice already for my Millie he is amazing. Thank you so much

  • Danielle Moutou

Such a great experience with Boronia Veterinary Clinic and Hospital. Friendly and helpful staff and great service. We don’t live in Melbourne anymore but when we return we will absolutely be going back. The reception staff are really exceptional too, really thankful for their help recently when trying to get some documentation for our dog (they probably deserve a raise ). Thanks again x

  • Nav

Amazing vets. We saw Jasper and he took the time to listen to us and even gave us a follow up call. We have seen other vets here previously, and they are all equally great. They are well priced and don't ever push expensive/unnecessary items on you. They have great opening hours aswell. We drive almost an hour to bring our little girl here and will happily continue to do so! Thanks team :)

  • William Simpson

Really well managed approach to appointments in the difficulty of COVID, appreciated being contacted whilst in the carpark so there's no risk of too many animals or owners at the desk area. Our vet, Dr Colleen was fantastic, we have two small dogs that scare easily, she's so gentle, efficient and really helpful with her knowledge for us and the dogs. Thank you - excellent service and care.

  • Lauren Bisignano

One of the best vets I've been to in my life. So supportive and lovely through any circumstances. Had a really great experience during a hard time with our sick cat. Vet nurses were extremely patient with us while we made our decision and we felt supported the entire way through. Staff went above and beyond to help us out, doing every they could to make things easier for us, thank you!

  • Sue Gown

Not a happy customer. I took my Pug in on Saturday with a 3inch gapping wound to his chest and was sent home without any offer to clean the wound or shave the hair around the wound with antibiotics and told to come back in 48 hours for surgery. I left the surgery nearly vomiting as I had to clean the wound myself. I paid $138 for medication basically. Not happy at all!

  • Fiona Phillips

I have dropped off wildlife that has been wounded and damaged in our backyard. Mainly possums and when you walk in there is always a smile and very friendly staff to help you out and offer advice. I would highly recommend this veterinary clinic to family and friends. Thank you for your advice and support that I had done the right thing it's really appreciated

  • Sloth 16

Laura the Vet was absolutely amazing, with sadness we had to get our Boxer euthanized last week after 10yrs of her being the family dog.. she was struggling to walk etc lots of health issues.. Laura was so kind & compassionate, could not fault the entire experience, was guided through it all by her & with plenty of patience & understanding.. Thankyou so much

  • Brett Fuller

Today my girl was crying in waiting room, due to not being with her puppies. Older receptionist kicked me outside due to them not being able to hear on phone. It was 40 degrees, my dog was not given any water and we were outside for 30minutes waiting. Was terrible, not acceptable behavior from a receptionist. I am so furious. Was too hot outside for us both.

  • Joel Goldie

Brought my dog in who was very unwell and anyone with half a brain would take one look and know there was something no right with him. Receptionist was very rude and just said hes fine come back in 2 and half hours time for an appointment. Thank god we went elsewhere as these guys just have no compassion or brains. Will never be coming back to this vet

  • Kristin Woods

After my boy had an allergic reaction I'd driven an hour to see a vet as we live remotley and our town had been cut off from floods. I was stressed when arriving worried about my dog and the receptionist was not welcoming and actually said to me "his not dying" sarcastically. While I was trying to complete paperwork before the vet would see him.

  • Rik Rushton

We recently had cause to put down our much loved 18-year-old family dog. The whole team at Boronia Veterinarian Clinic could not have been more empathetic. We especially appreciated the way Jasper conducted the whole procedure with clear communication and a loving process. Could not rate what was a very emotional experience more highly~

  • Haja Firela

This is the best veterinary clinic I have been to. Reasonably priced and excellent caring staff. Lovely Receptionists who are always polite. I have nothing negative to say at all about this Clinic. Will miss Nicole. What a wonderful vet and person she is but I know Lucy will be well looked after by her new vet. Highly recommended.

  • Hazel Maffia

Thank you so much to all the wonderful Vet’s in particular Natalie who treated Rocky over the last few days. Your team are amazing and so caring and thank you for getting our big boy better. I can’t thank you enough from what was a very distressing situation for all your caring and support. You are amazing! Thanks again …

  • Mikayla Chesworth

The team at Boronia Vet were very kind and efficient when I needed to get my dog looked at after a bug bite had caused her face to swell. They got me seen very quickly even though I didn't have an appointment. The vet was very thorough! I would definitely go back there if I needed to! I really appreciate them fitting me in

  • Natasha S

We love Boronia Vet Clinic! The staff are friendly and kind, and our puppy just adores them. Special thanks to Dr Dan who recently operated on our puppy. He has been so helpful during the rehabilitation process. It is reassuring to know that he is only a phone call away. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the clinic.

  • Travis Gooding

Had to put my beautiful pretty girl to rest today thankyou so much to the lovely caring staff at Boronia Vet Clinic. The waiting area had lots of energetic dogs which was making my girl anxious but the staff recognised this and took us through to a quiet area. Made her so more comfortable, thankyou …

  • Mel Addison

An amazing service with great vets who go the extra mile. We had to farewell our gorgeous 13 year old labradoodle recently and the care that was given at this sad time was second to none.Haydn took great care of our old boy over his last years and we are so thankful for the exceptional care. .

  • Emma Galvin

Dealing with the Boronia Vet Clinic is always a pleasure, all staff there have a fantastic level of care for animals and kind to the owners as well. My recent dealings with Dan was nothing short of amazing, I would never take my pets anywhere else and would recommend him to anyone.

  • Helen Mitchell

Dan did an eye operation on my little dog Oscar a few weeks ago. Extremely pleased with the out come. Went to Stephen R, with Oscar and he recommended Dan. Stephen always explains fully and was totally satisfied with the experience. Would high recommend these vets. Helen MIT hell

Fantastic people and very kind. There is a genuine care for your pet and for you as a concerned owner. I love the fact that you can call to get some advice too. A few months ago, I took my dog in for a very distressing condition and the team of people went above and beyond. ❤

  • Desmond Clissold

A thank you to staff, especially Matt for compassionate way you helped us through an extremely difficult time with Cassie on March 19th when we had to part with our best friend of 13 plus years. I can't begin to tell you how grateful we are. Thank you , Thank you. Des & Carol

After quite a nasty accident, my beautiful boy needed some urgent attention. Staff, nurses and surgeons were all great to deal with. Thank you for helping my boy heal so well. Thank goodness you are open late and take such great care of our community’s fury friends.

  • Heather Carlin

I had to come in at 7:30pm on a Saturday as our cat was bleeding from a fight, and the care he received was fantastic. The vet was caring, explained everything, and the service all round was exemplary. I'll be using Boronia Vet as my go-to vet in future!

  • Tracey Barta

Supportive , caring and so helpful in a really tough situation, they don’t want to be putting your best friend to sleep on a Sunday morning . But helped me through it so thoughtfully and with genuine kindness . Still crying but thank you so much .

  • Cass Taylor

Boronia vet have always been outstanding with their staff, their prices and professionalism. In particular I took my dog Shizzy in a couple of weeks to Gianne Ficatas and she was absolutely amazing. She was very caring, sincere and knowledgeable.

  • Darcy McCabe

We had an emergency visit for our elderly dog Chewy that ended up with him having to be put to sleep. Throughout this visit the staff that were on were very comforting and understanding about the big loss that this outcome would have on us.

  • Ganesh Tumkur

Genuinely the most incredible Vet. The Reception staff, Nurses and Vets are all so helpful, thorough and genuine. Not worried about selling products but focused on giving real love and care to the animals. Thank you guys for all you do! ❤️

  • Jess Grierson

My pup Robbie came here for 12 years. In recent times he has been seeing Dr Stephen, who was compassionate, kind and warm to my parents during a particular rough patch for Robbie. Yesterday we made the sad decision to put him down. Due to

  • Lee Kitten

While their care is adequate, we always get the feeling they are more about the money than anything else. We were charged for a cone on our dogs head after desex surgery even though that has always been included (at least at other vets).

  • Justin Nancarrow

Our dog, Bindi, had stomach issues for 6 weeks - we were so frustrated with 2 other vets not being able to make a call on what to do - we went to see Boronia vets - they were great - they advised us to operate and they found a mango pip

  • Anne Vogt

So very grateful to your team, especially Dr Angela(sorry don't recall her last name), as yesterday we had to say goodbye to our beautiful dog Shadow. No pressure, all the information and time needed to make the difficult decision. And

  • Kerryn Quartermain

Great !!!!! We took our 8 year old Rotti Jack who had two lumps - one on his leg and a pea sized lump from his eye lid - removed. Dr Tony Hayes was wonderful from our first appointment, thru to surgery and recovery! A nerve wracking

I can't speak highly enough of the vets at Boronia Vet Clinic. Very kind and caring to both animals and owners. The passing of our lab was hard but very gentle and peaceful for her and us. I highly recommend the team here.

The best vets around. They don't rip you off they care about the animals before the money. They have looked after my dog for the past 8yrs and saved his life. Would never go to another vet. All the staff are fantastic.

  • Lucas Dobson

Boronia vet hospital has been an amazing place! I brought in my 16 year old cat and we were looked after. I didn’t feel like we were just a couple of dollar signs, and my cat has had the treatment that he needed.

  • Kerry Hoang

Very professional and reliable. My normally aggressive dog had an ear infection and was so glad that they were able to treat him without sedating him (he was previously sedated at another vet). Thank you again!

  • Stephanie Welser

I cannot thank Vet Anna enough. After 2 days of pure worry and Mia not eating with colitis treatment has worked and her suggestion for trying different bland food worked. Thank you very much Anna and team ❤️

  • Adam Crist

I would like to thank Matt for his total understanding and care during the process of saying goodbye to our beautiful boy Banjo. Our family really appreciated your guidance during a terrible time. Thank you
