"Community park, kids play area, outside gym, large meadow area, duck pond"
"Great place for the kids and adults and your dog alike, apparatus for doing exercises as well as a great walking area, for you and the kids and your dog if you have one"
"I take my dog out in this park on a daily basis"
"Would not recommend it to people who are not from the area"
"Large urban park which is also home to Winstanley House"
Community park, kids play area, outside gym, large meadow area, duck pond. Great foot dog walking or just some time out doors, access friendly paths are mostly paved and the ground is very even in the majority of places. The geese here are fairly docile and mind their own business, moorhens, mallards and other bird life. Places to sit and relax, lots of regular bins and the council tries to clear litter as much as possible.
Great place for the kids and adults and your dog alike, apparatus for doing exercises as well as a great walking area, for you and the kids and your dog if you have one. Their is also a pond to feed the ducks for the young and old. A path that goes the full length of the park. A big grassy area if you want to picnic or just relax. They have benches as well. Their is a parking area near the pond area for cars.
I take my dog out in this park on a daily basis. It's a beautiful park with 2 ponds with ducks and geese some people fish here.a gym a skate park and playgrounds for kids.it also has many benches and shaded areas to sit and relax. Is a well maintained park and visited by young and old.you also have the winstanley house and the black iron restaurant in the middle of the park, absolutely gorgeous x
Would not recommend it to people who are not from the area. One half of the park was overgrown, not clean. The play structures had graffiti all over. Better for long walks and playing football.
Playground
The playground we found was not for younger kids. The slide could only be accessed by climbing structures made for older kids. And it had graffiti all over. Not much to the playground.
Large urban park which is also home to Winstanley House. Grounds adjacent to the house are reasonably well maintained but the rest of the park is seriously neglected. Without volunteer litter pickers it would be even worse. I do wish this park received as much attention as Abbey Park. The latter seems to have a much larger contingent of grounds people managing the environment
Great green space with plenty of space for football and outdoor activities. There are two parks which are great as well as some ponds to feed the ducks. There are tree stumps to climb and an outdoor gym as well as skater park. No toilets though and no place to get a drink hence not 5 stars. Great park though with plenty of things going off to watch people wise.
It's a nice place in the summer for a city park. Plenty of open grass, kids play parks, a hotel and stake house but limited parking near the lakes. There is a public loo but every time e go it's locked unless you have a disabled key. There are a couple of shops not to far away, and it's was lying distance to western park if your near the Hinckley road end.
Great multi variety outdoor experience. Hey! Come here with your quad bikes, motorcycles, skateboards for some wild stunts and your wouldn't regret it. Well paved lawns and walk ways. I loved it here last time of visit! Tip: Park your car for free at Braunstone Shoppimg Center, grab some refreshments then settle at the park to enjoy the scenery.
I think this park need to be look after some more. Certain times of the year the grass over grows so you can't see where your stepping but when it does have the treatment it needs the park is very nice especially to take your little ones. It has a outside gym a skate park a duck pond and a few little play parks spread around the park
A beautiful park with various organised activities and events, including a small model boat lake, fishing club, weekly park run, football pitches organised at "the grove", model airoplane club, cafe and bar. restaurant and bar offered a Winstanly House. Plus swings outside fitness gym and skate park and a walk through the gardens.
Nice big park with two ponds where people like to fish, two play areas with swings, slide ect and the gym equipment and plenty of space to run around and kick a ball or play a game of family cricket. There are nice paths to follow around the park and some lead up to the walled gardens and grounds of the old Winstanley house.
Absolutely beautiful park with so much history. We got to visit the secret garden today and after a year of visiting the park, we only just found out it has a small museum. I also found out that winstanley house which is situated in braubstone Park was the divisional headquarters to the U.S 82nd Airborne division in 1944.
I love this park... but. I wish it had more paths for me to walk/run on. When I want to use the exercise machines my trainers and socks get soaking wet from the grass because it is wet a lot of the time. The paths that are in the park could do with a bit more maintenance too. It's such a shame because it could be awesome.
I was somewhat surprised by this lovely places in the middle of the park and also in that area of Leicester, not that I'm putting down the area. The atmosphere and the friendliness of staff and the welcoming was very nice the breakfast was good. I'm looking forward to going back for a second visit keep up the good work.
Braunstone park is fantastic. It's very good for all ages of children. All my grandchildren have played on this park. There are lots of climbing apparatus swings and an outdoor gym for the older children and teenagers plus it's suitable for adults. It also has a beautiful lake with lots of ducks and geese.
We use the park to walk the dog, most of the time it's OK but now and again you get a bit of attitude from the kids using the skateboarding facilities, also there's a few drinkers on the benches,so we started to avoid this part of the park.

Good walk for the
Lovely park a few play areas for kids as well as a skate park for older kids. Couple of ponds one is better than the other for fishing as the bigger one has ducks etc and they are more inquisitive and would only make it harder to fish. Lovely for picnics in the summer.
Plenty to keep the kids occupied with a tranquil lake and beautiful hotel that serves food and drinks. Skatepark is ideal for kids of all ages with skateboard skates and bikes. Outdoor exercise equipment if the kids haven't tired you out. Lovely friendly atmosphere.
Nice place for a walk duck, geese, swans in the ponds, fishing club there too, children's play area aswell only thing bringing it down is the litter which isn't fair as there are bins everywhere in the park hold on to your rubbish and dispose of it properly please.
Lovely little park for walking. Great lake/pond with ducks and geese, they are fun to watch. Has open and wooded areas with spectacular views of Leicester's skyline. Beware what you do in this park as the police station is right on the corner closest to the lake.
Good park to chill out and get a relief from the city rush. It's a bit small compared to Aylestone park but has many kind of features (skating park, gym, some trails) where all kinds of people can hangout. Great place to let your steam out.
There are lots of entrances to this park but signage to car parking could be better. Picnic tables covered in graffiti and car park covered in rubbish. Park itself is nice enough, space to play football and some children's play equipment.
We were in the refurbished hotel area in the middle of the park for a wedding. Function room was brilliant even the setting outside was clean and visibly great. Staff were polite and friendly - will definitely return here …
1st time here with my dogs, great spacious areas to walk, sit, picnic, surprised at rubbish strewn around pond area. When bins provided. Great weather helped the afternoon of fun with our dogs. Deffo go again, with picnic next time.
Only because it feels less accessible for balance bikes and the drainage isn't great. Some broken glass but it was new years day. Hope it's not often. Still a good and the park is great for zooming around on the balance bike.
Lovely big park. I live local and had never been there before. 2 lakes with wildfowl, squirrels, other birds etc. I was not sure where car park was so I parked at Western Park, another super park. And walked with dogs.
I think braunstine park is lovely. But what I was a kid it was so beautiful. So neat more flowers the wall garden was kept so much better but things change and not a enough money to keep it has nice has it use to be .
Very Pleasant park to go too with variety of walks an areas ofthe park and the history of the park too its such a gem

Picnic area
I Love this place been there many many times, there is a lot of space you can play football there or just chill on the bench by the lake. Fishing is also allowed if you want to give it a try. Recommended …
Nice big park, not much for kids, more traffic since the hotel opened, grass rarely cut left long and ugly apparently left long for wildlife it looks awful, no flower beds, once upon a time it was a great park,
Love this park. Plenty of space. 2 lakes, fishing available, bike park, a number of playgrounds in different areas and some fitness equipment. There's also a hotel with restaurant and wedding venue.
Lovely walk around the park and lakes. And treated to the acrobatic skills of the model aircrafts being flown. The old hall now fully refurbished. Worth the visit. Dog loved the open spaces too
Great Park with loads for the kids to do including woods to explore, play area, ducks to feed and there's even a stream for playing Pooh sticks. Lovely place to spend a couple of hours or so.
It is a nice wide open space to walk and let your dog off the lead, just be careful of the dog mess. Not many people clean up after their dogs from what I have witnessed over the years
Mosedale is a lovely spacious place that's great for kids. They can run around, play football, basketball, go into the playground and much more. Always nice and never overly crowded.
The park is beautiful, however, the reservoir is polluted with plastic bottles and people fail to clean up after their dogs. The grass and walking path were both filled with mess.
Great open space to walk with kids. Relatively clean and appears quite well maintained in general but some areas look to have suffered from vandalism sadly. Well worth a visit.
The park is amazing and so are the dog walkers but the water is not very clean although there Is a ton of swans , ducks, birds ect. There is really good fishing places too
Very clean and a lot of green and variety of scenery to explore. There is a car park that closes at 20:30. Make sure you don't get lost in the woods next to the reservoir.
Lovely walk by the stream to the two lakes with wildfowl. Top of hill is the old hall with information board about its history. Play area for kids. Free parking.
Very sizeable with lots of fun activities in-between including an outdoor gym. Perfect for dog walks and lengthy strolls and it's always kept in great condition
Good looking park. But dog owners tend to allow their lovely companions to roam leaving their "mess" everywhere in the grass. Certainly not a picnic area.
Wonderful location for a nice and peaceful evening. It has adult exercise equipment and also functions as a park for kids. a very lovely location.
Nice park hotel in a strange place. You get some dodgy people there but there are basketball and football pitches and 3 play parks
Can here to do the parkrun with my partner. Nice little park, good for dog walking mainly, but can run, walk, cycle and have
Been here and its a nice massive park where you can do your exercise, feed the ducks and explore the beauty of the nature..
Lovely park to walk around
Dog-friendliness
Dogs love this park because they can let off steam and there safe
Nice, beautiful, quiet, peace, everything that i need to stay in a day and to watch beautiful swiming bird …
Lovely park with trees and lake and small spinney.ots of geese, ducks and swan and the odd corner to hide in.
Nice Park, could do with more bins and more money spent on it, ie more trees and benches and litter picking
Braunstone Park is a beautiful place to Walk the dog or exercise. In a time when our open spaces are even
Used to play here as a kid when staying at my Grandparents house. Wonderful memories. Nice park to visit.
Lovely vast expanse of green space with wooded areas, two lakes and several play areas for little ones
Nice big park for a bike ride . Lots of space. Fishing is allowed . Exercise equipment to use .
amazing place! very spacious and clean garden with a lovely vibe! would definitely reccomend :)
somebody should take care of that place. looking ugly all around. rats running. shame.
