Why is the consumer experience at airports so utterly miserable? My main issue is that a burger, chilli cheese fries, and two Heinekens cost around $75 with a 10% tip. One pint is $16.89 before tax and tip. That’s more than Yankee Stadium last time I went. Why do we tolerate such egregious price gouging at American airports? Not every country routinely rips you off to this degree. My server had to confirm my order twice and then was about to pour me two Stellas, said he would bring us waters (which never happened) and presented the food to two people with one set of cutlery. Remarkable. Indicative of the total lack of care for all things human at JFK Terminal 7, the TV showing departure times doesn’t even display the full time without the last digit getting bumped to a new line and messing up the formatting (see attached picture). All things considered the burger was pretty good, and once I lifted the plastic web of barely melted cheese, there was some half decent chilli and fries underneath. Maybe I’m just a mark who paid the cornered market premium regardless, but I would have stayed for more drinks and dessert and they would have made more money off of me if they were even 15% less greedy with the price point. Pack a sandwich if you’re organized? Try another one of the soul crushingly depressing eateries in this godforsaken place? Stay at home? If you’re reading this you’re probably already here and for that I’m deeply sorry.

The most outrageous customer service I've ever witnessed! We came in and sat down in the corner. No one came up to us to wait on us. When we asked if we would be waited on or had to order from the bar, we were told only one waitress working and it would be a long time. After a while we were told we could not sit where we did, it was a 'worker's area', and had to move. There were no signs, neither was it closed up. We moved, but everytime a customer tried to sit down in the 'restricted area' the cook from the kitchen would scream:"you cannot sit there!" At one point the cook screamed:"come pick up the food". A customer thought it was his food, so he went up to the kitchen. The cook said:"this is not your food, you have to sit back down and wait. You can not stand here and breathe in other people's food!" After about 45 minutes we were asked if we wanted to buy drinks, and that the kitchen was closing so we wouldn't be able to order food. There was no system, no service and rude employees. Never coming back!

How this restaurant is remaining open is beyond me . We dined here on our recent trip to NYC and I really wish I'd checked reviews before entertaining the restaurant of doom . Staff were all standing around arguing with each other loudly with particular staff member causing alot of debate. The girl that took my order wasn't rude but seemed unhappy in her job . The general atmosphere in the place is appalling . I just had a simple plate of chicken wings ( They were rotten ) . They had been left sitting on the heatpad for a good 10 minutes before anyone bothered to lift the food and bring to the table . I would definitely say the food is disgusting from my experience but the staffs approach to there customers is worse . Please approach this restaurant with caution. I also think it says alot about a restaurants care to service when a manager responds to these reviews .

I’d give this place 0 stars if I could. My husband and I walked in to check the place out and the server was being very pushy to sit us down. Their food menu was practically non existent We got food from another place and then walked back to brindle so I could get a drink. They kicked us out saying they can’t have outside food. As we were leaving they asked if we were going to get drinks. I said yes. They said we could sit. We sat back down and we’re ignored for quite a bit. Then the server walked by and asked my husband what he wanted. My husband doesn’t drink so he said nothing. Server proceeded to tell him he can’t be there. I say I’m getting a drink and ask if he can stay with me. He said no. The server was very rude and kicked us out. They told us they needed to make revenue….the place was fairly empty….. Doubt it was about revenue. If anything they would’ve made money by keeping us there.

After 15 minutes in line to reach the register, waited over 5 minutes at the register while 4 employees faced away and ignored all the customers. Despite cold brew being on the menu, nobody working there seemed to have heard of it and had to order a hot beverage. Almost $5 for the weakest coffee I’ve ever seen, could see the bottom of the cup through it. $5 for a bagel with cream cheese that was so stale I almost lost a filling, the cream cheese comes in those little plastic containers on the side but there were no plastic knives to be found and servers apparently can’t do it for you. This terminal may be the only place on earth where the Dunkin’ Donuts is the best option around.

I fly JFK often and use Alaska and this place is never open on time. They say 2pm and there are workers sitting around staring at customers. Not one time do they get up and ask how they may help you. They rather stare at you until you walk away. Where is the customer service? Lack of quality! Also it's well after the time they should be open and to no avail the line cooks are walking around helping themselves to soda from the bar. Making hot dishes from the back wearing baseball caps and no hair nets. The cook proceeded to cook his own meal sit along the food bar near the warming lamps. If you're going to serve customers put a new restaurant and better employeess in its place. Pathetic! 4/1/2022

We visited this restaurant on Monday 22nd May at 2.50pm at terminal 7 JFK airport. There were only 2 staff members working. My drinks came but a half hour after ordering food, I asked how long more would it be and was told the order had not been put in. No apology just an explanation as to what had happened. 20 mins still no sign of my food, I asked again to be told what had happened again and no apology. Approx 5/6 tables who ordered after me received their food and after 1 hour 10 mins I left. Their attitude was outrageous and all they did was blame each other and were rude to me when I asked questions. Seriously need training on customer service.

Not exceptionally cheap, but Airport Food never is…. and this is New York City. It comes with the territory. I had the Salmon which was decent, plus a glass of club soda. It took me a little while to get a food menu and get the attention of the waitress, but once the waitress got around to me the service was fairly prompt. I had an hour to wait until boarding so I wasn’t in a rush, but the waitress gave me a 20-30 minute wait estimate. It’s a good place to sit down and there’s room for your Laptop etc. This place seemed the best option for a decent meal in Terminal 7 ahead of your flight. Just don’t dine here if you’re short on time.

FATAL Y MUY COSTOSO, el sitio confortable pero me quede sorprendido que en el menú solo hay 4 opciones de comida, pero la relación precio/calidad es fatal, pedí unos fish & chips y apenas 4 dedos de pescado y el plato costo $24 !!!! Las cervezas muy caras. Lamentablemente habían solo 3 opciones abiertas, me Imagino que por el tema COVID. Así q si quieren cenar o almorzar en este Terminal, mi sugerencia es q NO LO HAGAN AQUÍ

Caesar Salad was better that I had expected. Surprised that I could only get a well done burger. The waitress told me that “this is an airport” and that was the only way it was prepared. Additionally, the wait time for food is 25 to 30 minutes. I waited about 40 - for a salad, burger and fries. Wasn’t rushed by the staff, I guess they are accustomed to having travelers taking extended time to have a snack or drink.

Zero stars if I could. Barman told me to wait twice to be served while he strolled around slowly, chatting to his colleagues and standing over at the food counter. After 15 minutes watching him do as little as possible I walked over to him and said I'd been waiting for 15 minutes. He told me he was busy and said I was free to leave. So I did and complained to the manager as I left. The people beside me had waited 30 minutes for their food and 30 minutes to pay their bill.

One of waitress flat out told me that we are only 2of us and go to the other restaurants. One waitress cleaned the table when we were about to leave then there is no one to take orders. Again we decided to leave and someone came in to take the order. No greetings no service. We are at airport and don't have luxury of hours to be served. They don't need or money and we are out....

Slowest services. Only 2 servers but the waitress was slow and took her time. My food was ready ans sat under the heating lamp for 15 minutes until she finally brought it. Took her 40 minutes just to bring a check. They had half the restaurant closed off and people had nowhere to sit. Overpriced

Cocktails were good but brief! The fish and chips were terrible. Chips were Luke warm and soft and the fish may have been cooked a week ago and sitting on a hot plate since. Batter had solidified to the point of hard as a rock. The Cole slaw portion would fit on a fork. You can't go wrong eating elsewhere.

We had a good experience. Food was good...chicken quesadilla and burger. Had a beer and a glass of wine. Waiter pleasant and attentive. Expensive but hey, you're in an airport in New York. Menu not extensive but no other restaurant in Terminal 7 had much of one either. Comfortable place to eat, watch sports and recharge your phone. So lighten up, people!!

I had burger on 9/30 around 7 pm at Terminal 7. I just wanted to check if my order went through since the food was getting delayed. The server was yelling at me, saying "we only have one server and one cook. If you cannot wait, just leave". It was so shocked and told her that I am just checking my order went through. Very rude server.

Horrible experience. Waitress (Taylor B or at least that said on the check) with no manners, rude, unhappy and unwilling to give a good service. worst service ever. Yelling to the people in the kitchen, arguing with the customers. Definitely not a person to be working with people. Food was pretty bad, but not as bad as the service.

Easily the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. The food was bad and came almost cold, the pepper Bloody Mary came without garnish after 30 minutes, and service was incredibly slow despite the place having only a handful of people inside. The fact that everything was so expensive just added to how ridiculous the experience was.

The staff was polite but appeared understaffed. The chicken parmezan tasted more like salted cod than chicken. Too much salt. The broccoli rabe was yellow. If you must eat here, go for the fries.

Overpriced food, horrible service. I had to call somebody 3 times over for my check. I called twice for my iced tea which didn’t come with sugar. The burger was a load of slop and they have the nerve to try to charge you 3 extra dollars for fries. Do not feel bad about giving little or no tip.

Was so excited to see the Brindle Room — which I have enjoyed in the East Village — at JFK. Alas, this is the most disgusting breakfast I have ever had. The omelette is actually worse than an airplane omelette. How could you let this happen?

Love Brindle Room in the East Village but this one is nothing like that one! Is it the same ownership? Ordered medium rare came well done. They use crispy onions not caramelized ones and the bun was stale. Very disappointed.
