I was very disappointed that in order to talk to a human and ask questions it’s 69 pence a minute. I have not been able to get answers through the website. I have not been able to answer through Facebook groups of people similarly situated that are trying to get to the UK on the correct visa. If I get rejected for no apparent reason do I get my money back? If I file for an appeal is it even worth it? if I file a whole new application do I have to pay the whole fee again and the 28 weeks starts over? I read your government websites they do not answer all the questions. It’s so good to know that I can get help once I’ve started the process but I can’t start the process without my question to be an answered and you didn’t say if during the process do you also charge me for asking you a question on the phone? What counts as cash for solvency? Do bonds count? can I ship my household goods that are being relocated to my family anytime? Do I have to my have a visa first? Well you at least answered one question through your sin of omission. I do need an attorney. Thank you so much.
The current UK advice to British Citizens living and working in the US who need to return is non-existent . This is completely unacceptable the British Government need to get a grip and start providing some concrete advice to their Citizens who are in vulnerable positions overseas. The consulate should be providing is with a sense of security, not admitting that they don't know what is happening and that no plans are in place. Extremely disappointing and worrying - get a grip quickly please!
We came here and we were met by one of the most loveliest lady we could have asked to deal with. Sandy helped us get emergency passport after they were stolen. She was an absolute dream boat. She was so empathetic and understanding. The way she was eliminated all the stress we felt before arriving. Thank you so so much! There is parking underneath the building. You pay on exit. You arrive and go to the lobby, check in and the security guard will then allow you to go up the 28th floor.
Just the worst ....unable to get communication simply too frustrating ...I understand doing app online ,but always nice to clearly be informed with a live person. Called NYC..same recording Called Miami same recording. I actually went to the French Embassy in Indianapolis, I was in and out just shortly over an hour...much better service, system. As i like to say more USER FRIENDLY. M
TYPICAL BRIT CIVIL SERVANT ATTITUDE. THEY WON'T TALK TO YOU WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT. THEN HAVE TO JUMP THROUGH HOOPS TO EVEN GET TO A LIVE PERSON. THEY NEED A DONALD TRUMP OVER HERE! i CAN WALK IN AND CONSULT PEOPLE AT AN IRISH CONSULATE BUT THE BRITS!
Contact via website?? Really. We want to know what we need to do to get home from the USA. We are quite happy to stay here as we feel it might be safer. We are trying to get hold of our travel insurance company but guess what? We can’t get through
Very pleasant staff here! Shane chose a later time for our interview, because he knew we had a long drive to get here. He did it without our even asking for it! Service was smooth, straightforward and rapid. Couldn't ask for more!
Hi sir, I'm a indian passport holder now, Iam studying at George town, iam going to india via Fort lauderdale Florida , is it mandatory to take transit visa my routing is George town to Fort Lauderdale to Dubai to India.
The two employees that were there were very welcoming, and willing to help. They were very nice and polite.
Automatic telephone response quite useless and no human being to pick up. Makes one very angry.
Like any other embassy. Nobody works particularly fast, but I got done what I needed to.
lovely lady who got me my emergency passport when mine was stolen. the number does work
No help what's so ever. Just a answer machine. No good in an emergency
John Corfield/Dean Churm are useless in emergency and are lazy
These people never answer in person it’s hopeless.
Try to get some info . Ufff horror
My condolences to The Royal Family
No problem very efficient
