Today we brought a visitor to your restaurant expecting good food. We were 3 and the cost was over $110.00 therefore the expectation was realistic. The gentlemen ordered "Steak and Frites". The steak was reasonably good, small portion, but, 2/3 of the plate was layered in "sugar tasting, dry french fries. Our other visitor had breakfast , Fruit Lovers Waffle, with an order of sausage on he side, she got the best deal. I took the smoke meat meal, what a disaster, It was smoke meat that you buy in a bag and leave in hot water, it was more water than meat which soaked the bread which was NOT RYE BREAD. When I questioned about the bread I was told that it was a different kind of rye bread when actually it as whole wheat bread (Soaked). Will we ever bring ourselves, visitors or others to Broadway, I think NO. Will we recommend your restaurant absolutely not. Is your chefs or should I say cooks have any pride in what is being cooked or served, I say NOT. Do you need new management I say YES.

Disgusting eggs benedict!! Soo gross, and almost $50 for two plates of just terrible quality breakfast, yes $50?! I literally feel robbed after eating here! Do yourself a favour, DO NOT eat breakfast here. Oh and the waitress hovering over the table while I paid debit with the portable machine was obvious and disgusting behaviour! Note to waitress, don’t stand there and be rude waiting for me to give you that tip. I almost asked her to step away while I did the transaction, thats how obvious she was!? I have never ever had a waitress do that ever!! You know why, because it’s obnoxious and rude! All that to say, she clearly knew I was not going to leave much or anything at all, and I left 13% percent that she did not deserve, only because it was the holidays! Seriously rethink your food options before coming here and having a similar experience… so offensive and quite honestly fast food style low quality food… and that’s a super generous assessment. Go to gabrielles, there you will see a consistently amazing breakfast at a fraction of the price with wayyyyyy better service. Just being honest. Management need to change this otherwise this location will go out of business guaranteed. The General Manager is just as rude as staff was, which does not surprise me at this point.

Arrived around 10am on a Saturday and was shocked there was no wait time. Been to Broadways on Innes lots but this is the first and last time I'll go to the prince of wales location. Our server seemed very very unhappy to be at work. His service was incredibly slow. We waited at the table with no beverages for 20 minutes before he came to take our order. Food came in a reasonable amount of time, but the homefries (the main reason anyone would go to broadways) were sadly colorless. Cooked, but limpy and pale, not at all golden and crispy. We were a table of 4 and all were the same. Someone at our table had eggshell in their omelet. Someone else got a chipped glass to drink from. Not once did we get checked on or asked if we wanted a coffee refill or ask if we wanted another mimosa (I would have ordered 2 more for the amount of time we were there, so it's an irritant for me and a loss for the business). We waited around 15 minutes after finishing eating for our plates to be picked up, but our waiter then promptly brought us the bills of course. It became very apparent as to why there was no wait time at 10am on a Saturday.

I don't like writing bad reviews but this one should be a warning to others. All the Broadway's chains have always been consistently good/excellent, but this location at Prince of Wales honestly sucks. They placed the eggs underneath everything so the eggs got crushed and stuck to the take out box, there was about a handful of home fries because they packed the toast into the same takeout box, making the toast soggy as well. Other chains usually put the toast in a separate bag and offered a good amount of home fries. We left a note in the Uber eats app, as well as called them to ask for camomile tea and requested they just supply the tea bag and not put it in water. I found out that this location is the only one that charges extra for any tea other than Orange Peko and they ignored our request to just get the tea bag so instead I received a cold, over steeped, bitter tea. We also ordered a side of home fries but they sent us half of what a regular order from any other location would have been. Overall Broadway's is a great place to eat and I would strongly recommend it, but not from this location. Go down the road to the Strandherd or Riverside South location.

We visited the place for breakfast. We ordered the egg Benedict, turkey sausage, and the Mexican skillet, and I must say that all the dishes were absolutely delicious. The food was cooked to perfection, and the portions were just right to leave us feeling full and satisfied. The price of the dishes was very reasonable, and we felt that we got good value for our money. Additionally, the environment of the restaurant was very warm and welcoming. The decor was tasteful and cozy, and we enjoyed the relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To top it all off, the service provided by the waitress was outstanding. She was friendly, attentive, and helpful in answering any questions we had about the menu. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast or any meal for that matter. The food, price, and environment were all exceptional, and we were very pleased with our experience.

I use to be a Broadways fan but this is the worst meal I have ever paid for. Four of us decided to go for Sunday brunch and we all had mistakes with our meals. Firstly, for some reason only half the table was served coffee, the milkshake was warm, and the smoothie was as liquid as juice. Then after 40 minutes we finally received the food we ordered. Chocolate chip pancakes that were ordered came without chocolate chips and were just sad. Meals that were ordered with bacon had to ask the server for the bacon because for some reason the bacon never showed up. Then there was my meal of scrambled eggs, ham, and toast. I got served an omelet and when asked for scrambled they just refried my egg and mushed it around. It was dry, over cooked, and inedible. They served me cold toast and the ham was just a fried slice of sandwich ham. I ended up coming to this restaurant hungry and left starving. Both the meal and the service was disappointing and I would warn anyone you know to stay away from this establishment.

We were looking for a new lace where some of us could have breakfast and some of us could have lunch items if needed to. There were recommendations for this place and decided to drive a little and go there. It was a Friday late morning and the place not packed, but busy. Can only imagine what would be on a Saturday or Sunday. The service quick and pleasant. The server was cheerful and attentive. Ordered a BLT, a California Benedict, a Mixed Berries Waffle and some plain toast and home fries. Coffee was fresh and had a good flavour to it. The refills were made without waiting for a long time. The California B was nicely made and eggs perfectly poached. The Home Fries were garlicky and yum. The toast perfectly made. The waffles could have been better as it seemed slightly over done. Was disappointed with the menu a bit as very limited options that were available without dairy or eggs. Wish they could accommodate it. All in all a good visit.

Basic pub fare. Very heavy on fast carbs. Fish and chips was a small piece of fish on top of a mountain of fries with a bit of cole slaw. When you consider the thick panko coating on the fish, the meal was basically starch with side dishes. Similarly, the club sandwich on Texas Toast means you get a lot of bread and fries, with a little protein and vegetation. Lastly, the greek salad was OK, if small. And unlike what I'd call a real greek salad (tomatoes, feta, cucumbers, red onions, olives) this one is primarily lettuce with a few tomato and cucumber slices and a tiny amount of feta crumbled over the top. Definitely not the place to go for a nutritious meal, but few pubs are. You can definitely fill up on starches.

Fish and chips were decent portions. They had a live singer there on a Wednesday night which was nice. After a certain time at night they shut down the restaurant side so if you want a private booth, go earlier. I think they should keep.some booths available for people who want it a bit quieter at that time though.

They had a beyond meat burger. But if you're looking for a healthier bun like a lettuce bun etc. They don't have that. Other than that your options were various salads with actual cheese on them and meat in a few cases so you'd have to ask for that without those options.

Just left after having brunch. We were seated on the bar side, and we didn't get our server's name.. But the bill said Giuliano. He was INCREDIBLE. We were barely seated before he asked if we wanted coffee.. And it was at the table within 30 seconds. We placed our orders, and the kitchen staff was ON IT. I'm not even joking when I say we had our breakfast out to us in under 5 mins. Absolutely amazing experience all around. Great food, great service, great prices.

An Okay Place For A Gathering and To Celebrate My colleagues and I came here a week ago to celebrate an employee appreciation week lunch. The ambience and service was very good. The outdoor atmosphere was descent especially during the warm summer afternoon. They liked the place as well as me. However I had an issue with my meal. The meal that I ordered was so-so (at least my portion). Mine was the “Broadway Chili”. Although the dish taste was good, for $17 it was NOT worth it especially that ½ of it consisted of greasy tortilla chips! At least my draft beer was big, tasted great, and at a good price ($6).

My brother recommended this place and did not disappoint. Great options for kids to choose from. Their home fries are the star with their seasoning. I love the option where you can get a nice combination including pancakes ie. Combo #2. Service was friendly and quick. This is my brother's kids favourite breakfast place.

Great breakfast at decent prices. Came here many times for brunch. Its a place we come to time and time again due to the price, taste and atmosphere! Place is never empty, but we get our food quickly. I got the Mama Dinas, and its such a great value and taste. The sausages were very delicious. Coffee is also tasty. I like the toast as well. Obviously the star of the meal are the home fries with onion, they are perfect! Other times, I got the eggs benedict which tasted ok. The hollandaise sauce is not the best but the other elements were good. The hubby got the 1 egg and 1 meat which is great value as it is 10 dollars and comes with toast and the yummy home fries. Will visit again and try other items on the menu.

It was pretty good! It was my first time there, I was kinda surprised they were charging 8$ for a milkshake that size if I'm honest.... if it came with a refill then I would understand but.. yeah. The fries were amazing, my quesadilla was just a bit burnt at the edges, but I get that can happen. It was super filling though, which is awesome. The server was quirky but it added to the experience. They were great at asking if we needed anything else throughout the meal and were quick to bring anything if we said yes. Personally the menu is a bit short on options, but it is one of the pub type restaurants so you know that going in. It has daily specials so keep an eye out and pick what day to go!

I couldn’t believe the service at this location, I went with my sister to have breakfast and once we got our food they my forgot about us and didn’t even try to look our way, I was coughing pretty bad and was trying to get someone’s attention so I get can some water and no one acknowledged me and trust me I was coughing loud enough. No came to check up on us or offer a take out container. I noticed all 5 of employees were chatting at the register, so I went and told them can I get the bill and that no one came to check up on us. They all split didn’t even say sorry but just took the pin pad and asked if it it was one bill. I don’t know who the person in charge was but I’m never coming back.

Went tonight for a paint nite we were pretty excited for and left before it even started. To be clear, this isn't a negative review for the paint nite lady, as she was doing her best to be super helpful, and I don't think any of the servers were at fault either. We showed up at 6:15 and the paint night starts at 7, we wanted to order food and drinks before hand. It was 6:55 when we ended up leaving because we hadn't seen a server at all yet, despite multiple attempts to flag one down. Seems like poor planning on the management to not have sufficient servers on for the event. Will definitely not be coming back to this location again.

I was disappointed with the quality of the food. Ordered the special, fish & chips. The fish looked like it came out of a frozen retail box and it could easily have been cooked better at home. The fries were so bland as well. Simply no value in the food. The service was great though. We were quickly seated and the server was very friendly. The atmosphere is the same it's been for years - nothing to complain about but nothing to be excited about. Wouldn't return though unless I hear from someone else that the food improves.

Everything was fine except for how hard they try to upsell you on breakfast. Every question is an up sell and even when you say you just want what comes with it, they will still charge you for an upsell. Great service, small sandwiches. I ordered a steak and cheese sub, and what I got what a bun,, not a true submarine sized sandwich. I even asked the server, and she said it was a "good sized sandwich" indicating with her hands something that was fairly daily 50% more than what she actually served. The flavour is middle of the road: I've had worse but I've had better. I'dadvise the chef tomake it a bit juicier. The goddess those lame coated fries. I offer the  style fries that were cut that day, not these frozen ones. I'd be embarrassed to serve these fries. Forsoftendollars plus tax and tip, I'm expecting  sandwich and less frozen filler

Dropped in today for lunch. Ordered the smoked meat double sandwich with home fries. I was hoping for something special with the home fries upgrade considering what some other people had said in review. Nothing special at all, basically hash browns with approximately two onions and no flavors other than standard hash browns. I am not sure what the big deal is or was. I am surprised that you only get 1/2 smoked meat sandwich for $18.00..it was $23 for both halves. No pickle on the sandwich, but on the plate instead with only mustard in the bottle, no sauerkraut. Nothing of note in the flavor profile of the sandwich here.

I literally have no complaints. This location is stellar!!! I went to innés location this morning and I was disrespected and received horrible food and customer service. The manager from prince of wales (Jeff) was super professional and understanding. We ended up staying for supper with our children and we had the best time. My kids loved our waitress Jo!! She was attentive and kind. I will never return to the other location, I am a loyal customer for life! Thank you for making us feel so special and giving us a lovely experience to erase the one we had this morning. What a great way to end the day!! Thank you !!

Honestly the worst experience I’ve had in a long time. The waitress and waiter complained about customers while serving our table, there was no cutlery so when our food arrived we had to wait for it, I asked for a kids menu and she rolled her eyes and said ok… then didn’t get us one. A family walked in, saw the tables and service and said I’m not eating here and left. I don’t blame them. I won’t be coming back. Those two servers along with the subpar food, I feel like money was wasted. I used to love broadways and it was my #1 .. they’ve cheaped out and their servers are absolutely horrible. So disappointed..

Probably by far one of the worst spots to eat in ottawa. Personally I love broadways but this location defiantly shouldn’t be considered broadways. Ordered breakfast for 2 here which cost me almost $80 and there wasn’t even $40 worth of food here. Usually extra home fries would be in a medium-large container. This is the first time I’ve seen it in an extra small box. Asked for extra onions in the home fries but not more onions then fries. Very disappointed would have left 0 stars if it was an option.

Went for dine in brunch on a Sunday. The place was pretty busy but the staff was friendly and attentive. The portions were big and delicious. I got the Mexican skillet. The flavours were amazing and I would definitely return for this meal alone. Ordered a take 2 breakfast from the prince of wales location and it was an absolute tragedy. Eggs are flat wet and slimy. Homefries are barely seasoned. Specifically Prince of Wales Drive Ottawa We were not impressed today. We had both plates chipped, a dirty table and debris on the chairs. Check in on food and service was not great. We explained this to the waiter who passed it on to the kitchen. But instead of replace the home fries they did nothing. Very poor customer service. Mistake to order from here! Gross poutine and gravy, and the excessive onions meant to be caramelized (were just sweet and crunchy) drowned the taste of the beef burger. The Buffalo chicken burger was alright, could have used more sauce. Restaurant should take into account the time spent delivering and provide extra sauce if it will dry out the food. Salad was fresh and tasty (got the dressing on the side). Boneless chicken wings were just dry and cold chicken bites.

They have a back room section which is great for larger gatherings (with a TV). Their patio has high tables that can fit 6 people. Friendly, experienced staff. You can never go wrong with ordering breakfast, at any time.

My husband and I went there for breakfast. The homefries are the best in town and consistent across the Broadway restaurants. What I also love is the ambiant music that is not too loud. If you are thinking of ordering UberEats from here, I would recommend ordering from the Innes location instead. The portions are half as good and the packaging is to higher standards. I have reached out to management 2 weeks ago and have not received a response. The image of the open home fries is from the Innes location and you can see that the packaging for the same order is double the size exactly.

Great dinner at Broadway’s. I loved my chicken souvlaki wrap, which came with Greek salad and rice. My husband enjoyed his fish and chips. Service was friendly, and it was a nice atmosphere. We went for live music on Friday, and really enjoyed that, too! Highly recommend.

A few days ago I went to the Fisher and Prince of Wales location of Broadway's.. it was the first day since the beginning of the pandemic that it was operating at full capacity and yet somehow they managed to serve us quickly and our food arrived hot ... Good job. I've always enjoyed the breakfasts here but it's good to see that they're still able to serve huge crowds!

love this place!! so close to my house. it’s affordable, delicious, and the staff is so great! my server from last night was amazing, i wasn’t sure what drink to get and she just whipped something up for me based on what i like, and it was amazing!!! this place is a gem:)

Fast and friendly service, great ambience, stellar brunch food. Extensive brunch menu covering all your sweet or savoury desires. Ordered the pulled pork skillet, a delicious blend of succulent meat and pearl onions mixed with perfectly seasoned homefries and covered with melted cheese and a rich holandaise sauce.

Ordered breakfast to share between two people. It was exactly what we were looking for. Potato/hash browns were crisp and nicely seasoned, over easy eggs were perfect, pancake was good. Quick service. The place is getting a little aged, but still appeared clean. Large amount of space for different sized groups.

Met some buds here for breakfast on Saturday and was not disappointed. Two of the lads aren’t big egg fans so the Take 3 on the menu is always welcomed. Service was fast and friendly and we never felt rushed. All the safety guidelines were being followed so everyone should feel safe to visit this establishment.

Ordered eggs Benedict as I usually do, but unfortunately I will not be ordering from this broadways again. As you can see in the photo, there is mold on the English muffin bread. I only found this mold after I ate the first one, therefore I feel as though that one had mold too. Very disgusting, very upset.

Very good breakfast! I would give 5 stars but found the seating slightly uncomfortable and the price a little on the higher side. That being said. They have the best home fries and they have lots of unique items you won't find anywhere else. If you're looking for a treat, they are a great option!

Had breakfast this morning and was served by Zak. He was great! M'lady and I really appreciated his knowledge regarding avoiding gluten in our breakfast. Makes it an easy choice for our next breakfast out!

I love the home fries at Broadway's they're always perfect and really crispy I get it with every breakfast. Their eggs Benedict is delicious I highly recommend you give them a try!

Met a friend on their patio for dinner. He had fish and chips and I had the jambalaya. The food was quite good. They had a few choices of canned craft beer, but nothing on tap. The server was friendly and came around often to ensure we had everything we needed.

One of the best places to get hash browns in the city. I had the smoked salmon eggs benedict with hollandaise sauce. The meal was $18.75 and came with coffee and hash browns.

Deceptive look on the outside, with the interior a lot nicer than the outside. Full bar on one side and a restaurant the other. Typical "pub food" nothing special. Prices are very high but the food is at best average reminds me of a family style place

Great place for breakfast. Good portions and well priced. Garlic homefries are addicting. Something for everyone.

My 'go-to' when I'm in town! Great brunches, and really decent meals (try their chicken brochette!). Big bonus is that there's often live music on Fridays and Saturdays! Great service too!

When we walked in, it was bright and somewhat busy. I requested a booth. It was huge. Our server came to assist us and then we decided to order. He was very friendly. I had the late breakfast. It was delicious! I would recommend this place.

We ordered from this location for lunch today, and although the food that we received was good, I had ordered chicken parmigiana and the restaurant forgot the chicken. $20 for a few fettuccine noodles is a bit pricey for my liking.

Food was good. I had the banana chocolate waffle with a bit too many bananas. Overall its a great breakfast place. Was a bit of a long wait when we went on a Sunday morning. Nice atmosphere inside. Outside patio looks chill.

The breakfast potatoes were very grease full of oil. The sausages did not taste good, my wife didn't even eat them. The waiter did offer free bacon as replacement.

Great atmosphere. Was known for their home fries and they did not disappoint, they are delicious. Unfortunately it is a bit pricy with most of the menu going around $18 but what price isn't going up in this economy

Quick and friendly service. We each got a breakfast plate and a waffle to share! Both plates were so good, but the waffle was extra amazing! So tasty and the fruit was very fresh. Definitely get the waffle!!

Great service, great food! I love going here for brunch to celebrate big moments. Tables were nice and spread out, we didn't have to wait at all. Our wonderful waiter took great pictures of my group as well.
