If I could give negative five stars I would.... When I checked in I informed the guys at the check-in gate that we had not yet decided if we were staying for one or two nights... I told them that I would decide the next day if I would stay another night.... Five minutes after checkout time the park wardens show up to tell me that I need to leave because somebody already had my spot booked for a week in advance... So I said okay I will pack up and leave.... I started putting things away and moving the slides in immediately... And only five more minutes later the park wardens show up again to tell me they're giving me a $95 fine for staying past checkout time... I explained to the park wardens that I had told the front gate personnel that I was possibly staying a second day and so I would just exercise my right to pay for the second day for only $50... The park wardens again lie to my face and tell me that they are fully booked so they are not accepting that I stay a second day and issue the fine anyway. As an Albertan coming to visit Ontario I highly recommend that you avoid all Ontario provincial park campgrounds because they are nothing more than a scam... $50 for one night is already overpriced... You have to purchase five pieces of wood for ten bucks because they don't even supply firewood for the campsites, and then they run around slapping hundred-dollar fines and anyone who's 2:05 2 p.m. check out time... We counted twenty-seven empty lots and we only went around 3/4 of 1 loop out of the three loops that they have.... Stay away from Ontario provincial park campgrounds it's just another way for the government to scam money from the citizens! $145 I'm night just to park your camper... What a joke
Went for the maple syrup festival (takes place all March long) and stayed to hike the park trails. Both were kind of below average. The festival was small, only a few hundred meters of walk through sparse maple trees/sap collection buckets. Not much "to see". The park is offering free guides through this walk, but because there's hundreds of people, these groups are huge and unless you're standing right next to the guide you won't hear anything. The guides who do this a hundred of times a day are rather non-enthusiastic. There was also no demonstrations of the ovens, old and modern collection mechanisms etc - so, frankly, just go elsewhere, preferably an actual, active maple syrup collection farm. Also, even the smallest samples (1 tbsp) of maple syrup weren't free (as they had been in every single other festival I've been to). Ok, $0.50 may not sound like much, but just imagine how many spoons there are in a store bought bottle and then multiply each spoon x $0.50. Becomes a very expensive bottle (so, why the money grab?). Then multiply it times thousands of people attending. The hike - well, it's spring so there's water and mud everywhere. The trails are both poorly marked and poorly maintained. Maybe it's more enjoyable in summer.
Went here on Sun. Oct. 9. A reservation is recommended, which can be booked through the Ontario provincial parks website. It takes bookings on the day of. If you have an Ontario parks pass then you don’t need to pay for parking (you can borrow one from the Hamilton Public Library for 1 week). Otherwise, it’s about $18 incl. tax for parking. There was plenty of parking in parking lot A, which is close to a playground and a covered picnic shelter. There were some picnic tables and lots of space for families to gather. We hiked the Lookout Ravine Trail, which had some lookouts to some really beautiful foliage. Fairly flat terrain of packed dirt. After that we walked towards the Spruce Lane Farmhouse which had some bales of hay and a tractor, which some kids were playing on. The washrooms were nearby and well-maintained. Some of the paths closer to parking lots F and D were paved. There were quite a few intersections around the south portion of the park so it’s easy to go the wrong way. I recommend having Google maps open if you want to head back to your car. Overall, even though it was cloudy, I had a lovely hike and would recommend this park!
Provincial Park - they are near by and natural. Located between Oakville and Burlington, Ontario. Great place to test your camping skills or equipment. 145 electric service sites, filling and dumping station, laundry equipment, playgrounds, yurts, programs (summer), trails and a leash free area. Campers use 3201 Upper Middle Road W. During stay campers have access to day-use area (off Burloak) but my drive 6-11km to separate entrance. Day-use area off Burloak Drive has been a family favorite for decades. 13 km of trails, 11 reservable picnic shelters, children's play barn and farm, 1,8 acre outdoor swimming pool (additional fee), family and group education programs. In the Winter enjoy cross country skiing or snowshoeing. Annual events include: Maple Syrup Festival, Springtime on the farm, Ghostwalks, Camper Halloween and Victorian Christmas. Please refer to official website for details as this information could be stale. Place is beautiful, clean and the staff are very friendly, helpful and nice
Simply breathtaking. 10 Stars. First time at Bronte Creek Provincial Park and I couldn't get enough of the park. Up one trail down another and the views simply amazing. Every path and every trail truly outstanding. Take a map of the area or use Google maps to get the best views of every area. The Ravine outlook, the trails down to Bronte Creek worth the trip. Great for all ages, hikers, runners, bikes. Even animals to see, goats, chickens, rabbits, peacock. Dogs allowed but must be kept on a leash and our little pup was amazed seeing the animals. Never ever seen rabbits or chickens. You won't be disappointed by this park. I will return as I'm sure I overlooked 80% of the sights and we spent 3 hours walking. You will find really nice playground parks for the kids and nice equipment. Wood burning fire stoves that remind me of an open home fireplace. Not to be missed this park is truly amazing.
We went to the park today (fourth time here since the pandemic hit) and today was the first time we went to the leash free section. When I first got to this section I just saw the field and was like but then I noticed the boundary signs and realized it was actually a very good size and followed a decent size of trails for the pouches to run around. The pictures I added are from a sitting area to the right of the entrance which was a good area for us to feed our daughter and let the dogs play with sticks. The park itself is nice and offers a great deal of trails, sightseeing (farm animals, hill you can climb off of lot C with a 360 degree view, and others), and a park for the children to play on. The only thing I wish was that there was more trash cans (or people weren’t lazy and left their garbage everywhere) and some areas for dogs to get water.
We were here on Saturday, for those wondering with all this COVID-19 here is some info. The entrance fee was $18, we went to parking lot c which there was nobody there. The 6 washrooms that are in parking lot c had only 2 open one on each side. The barn and playgrounds were all closed. The pool wasn’t open either. Most of the picnic tables were all stacked against each other but there were a few on the floor spread out for people to use. Also the entrance closes at 6pm, the washrooms and gate close at 8pm. Update: just wanted to update and add some pictures. I just recently found out they have a gnome and fairy house trail. How cute is that! You can find the trail by going to the bunny coop and there will be a sign pointing in the direction the gnome road will be. Here a pictures of the houses we found
Easily one of our favourite parks in 5 provinces. Some sites were open or semi-private, but ours was very private. When backing in, there was a tree almost in the middle of the site which was weird. Also, some of the branches of surrounding trees were very low and almost touching the top of the trailer. For getting around, there was good signage and paved roads in the main area. The washrooms were fairly clean and the showers were fantastic. The laundry area was also very clean. What surprised us most was how quiet this was despite being in the city of Oakville. Highly recommend if you don't mind the highway traffic (QEW) to get there and have a trailer. It rained heavily while we were there, and the site next to us had a tent....they were literally in a huge puddle. :(
Maybe the weather had something to do with a little bad review bit everything was wet. The parking was quite far from all the places. The children's playing barn thing had so many older kids playing there that the smaller children for whom it was meant didn't want to go inside. The petting only had a few goats. The picnic area isn't that big buts it's nice there's the big tables under trees and it looks pretty. We walked around the park for quite a while and didn't see any amazing scenery but I think we did go the wrong way so, my bad and also the aquarium was nice. Not a lot inside but it's so nicely organised for the small children, like if the pull a branch or something an animal comes out or true or false questions, so a pretty nice area there.
Bronte Creek Provincial Park: Oakville (47 km west of Toronto) The Ontario Parks website has the fall colour report every year. I am going to check off the three parks near Toronto which are included in the report: Forks of the Credit, Mono Cliffs and Bronte Park. The Rouge Urban National Park is part of Parks Canada. It is amazing to see these parks with their majestic display of fall foliage. One does not need to drive three hours north of Toronto (for Algonquin Park) to see fall colours. Early to late October is the best time to visit and like clockwork rain and gusty winds blow away these leaves for another three months of hibernation. You know winter is just around the corner.
Provincial Park within a city. Campground is nice for a short visit with a variety of sites. Some open and some in wooded areas. The day use has extensive area to enjoy for all kinds of activities. Trails are good for all kinds of abilities, there are historical buildings on site to view and get history on the area. A seperate note on the Children's Play Barn: Animals below the barn are great to check out, the space inside for active play is not a safe environment for kids to play in. Between low clearance in the toddler section resulting in multiple bumps, and stairs that have no barriers/gates to prevent injury from falling, this is a space that requires extreme supervision.
Very large, quiet park, but big parking lots so may be busier in summer, our first time. My spouse can't do most trails, but the story trail was good for him, the rest of us ventured on other trails, seen lots of migrating monarchs, salmon spawning, turkeys and cows, oh my ...we brought a light lunch, lots of picnic areas, even if u have a large group, only reason not 5 stars as seen a large pool but read hasn't been used in years, get it open and this may be where I may host our next family reunion
Restrooms
Very clean
Dog-friendliness
There is a leash free area in the park
Picnic area
Lots of tables and larger areas for groups
Beautiful trails, friendly staff and trick or treaters on Saturday night! The sites are very spacious and grassy with gravel pads for parking the trailer. Some of the electrical posts are quite far away so make sure you have your extra long cord with you!
Playground
Nice playground for kids. Right beside comfort station/showers/laundry
Restrooms
Clean, spacious!
Dog-friendliness
Lots of doggies there. All on leashes when walking the circles. A reminder for the dog owners who use the trails. CLEAN UP after your pet. Don't leave piles or the bags of dog poop in the middle of the trail where people are hiking or biking.
Great place to explore and spend a day in nature. Plenty of short (1-2 km) trails for dogwalkers and hikers, plus farm animals, playground structures, and family-friendly attractions by Spruce Lane Farm. Bronte Creek is quite shallow and can permit fishing of salmon. Ample picnic tables and washrooms (indoor bathrooms in a standalone building) on site. Admission fees taken per vehicle, not per visitor. Trails are marked with extreme clarity and even include numbered checkpoints along the way. Depending on the season, be mindful of ticks and other poisonous plants - signage near the trailheads will serve as cautionary warnings.
Went camping here for a few nights, quiet park, the fire pits are nice with a foldable grill to cook on!, there are free showers, they were a bit small with only one spot to sit/place your belongings, there was a laundry facility as well with one washer and one dryer $3 for each(Lonnies), the wood they were selling was wet that's pretty much all iv gotta say about this campground, oh it's not to bad of a drive if you need to Go to a grocery store.
Playground
Looked well updated
Restrooms
The restrooms were fairly clean and looked after.
Dog-friendliness
Heard a few dogs, nothing to complain about tho!
We took our tween niblets and stayed 3 nights in the campground and went twice to the day use park and it was fabulous. The park and staff do a tremendous job teaching kids (and us adults as well) all about the area's history and nature. The highlights were the old farmhouse and a guided tree hike. I was concerned it was going to be too close to the city but both parks feel like they're in rural areas. We loved being so close to Lake Ontario as well and did a day trip to Cornation Park and later a Sandy beach next to a marina. All of us had a most excellent time and would definitely recommend taking kids to Bronte Creek.
The service we received from Noah was phenomenal. We appreciated the courteousness and kindness that they showed us in their service. This individual is a great addition to this parks team, and we cannot thank them enough for their recommendations and tips. There are many different trails to choose from, and each one was nice to hike along. I noticed many picnic benches and areas for family gatherings along the way. Different viewpoints, and activities for a wide range of interests. My partner was not too fond of the many bugs haha! Overall a very clean park, and their washrooms are accessible and well maintained.
Really great multi-use park! There are a few short hiking trails including one that leads to Bronte creek. There are large grassy fields for field games and many picnic tables. At least two play structures for children and plenty of parking. The children's farm was a real highlight! Kids loved seeing the animals and playing in the barn that was converted to a children's play area. There was a machine charging 25 cents for goat food so bring change if you plan to use it.
Restrooms
Plenty of restrooms around the park with multiple stalls.
It’s very awesome spot to spend time with family. Park is very neat and clean with facilities of the washrooms everywhere. I am thankful to that staff members for arrangements for this. It’s small farm for kids to play around see animals like horses, cow, pigs, rabbits, turtle. There is old heritage Victoria house - must see how it was like from the year 1889 maintained well. Must go summer vacation spot . There is Tim Hortons opposite to entry gate of park in case someone is coffee person. Very beautiful park
Why visit Bronte Provincial Park in autumn? 1. Stunning Fall Colors 2. Prime Fishing Season 3. Mild, Pleasant Weather ☀️ 4. Peaceful & Tranquil 5. Wildlife Sightings 6. Perfect for Photography 7. Scenic Hiking Trails 8. Relaxing Picnics by the Creek ️ Discover the beauty of Bronte Park this fall!"
Playground
Ample space
Restrooms
Always available and never crowded
Dog-friendliness
A lot of leash free area
Picnic area
Ample
Overall I recommend! + pretty place, recommend the lookout trail! + leash free dog trail and park + public transport accessible, otherwise parking $20~ + large park so I doubt it’ll ever get too crowded - the map seemed useless at the entrance, I saw number postings in the park, but no numbers on the map. Please update the map of the park! - once you come to one side of the park (south let’s say), you can’t walk to the north because of the river you have to walk all the way out.
I have been coming here all my life .I grew up in Bronte area and frequented the park on a regular basis. Not much has changed over the years and I love it .Whether your here for a hike or fishing or bringing young children to play in kids barn .It's a wonderful day out for everyone .I came here as a child .Then I brought my children and now I bring my grand children.I have also fished the creek all my life .Great spot to check out the yearly salmon run .Great spot for a pic nic.
Visited in late September and unfortunately a few of the highlights were closed. We knew the pool is closed so no big deal. But both the Nature center and the farm house were closed, so a bit disappointing. The park itself is very nice with cool hiking options. There are few farm animals that are friendly and cute, goats, sheep, lamb, pigs, bunnies.. all great. Plenty of parking and clean washrooms. The play area in the barn was a great success and is great for kids 3-10.
TICK alert! Be aware and check yourself and your gear regularly. There were no posters alerting campers but after we found ticks on ourselves twice, we googled it and ticks are known to be in the area. Five stars if not for the ticks and the lack of info. Gorgeous park with spacious and well-laid out sites. Bathrooms, showers and laundry facilities. Not too many mosquitoes. The bathroom didn't appear to have been cleaned for several days but they weren't filthy.
Love the farm and the activities organized by the park. We RV camped on the camping side. Sites a completely private and big. We booked a site that said 25ft but we fit a 32FT fifth wheel. Sites are bigger than listed on Ontario Parks site. Try to stay closer to the entrance of the park.
Playground
Fantastic playground for a two year old
Dog-friendliness
Very dog friendly. Our dogs were able to chill off leash on our site since it was so private
Although the actual farm has been left to die in regards to an actual working one (which obviously it was), there's so much to do in any season but because of it's size you might have to hunt to find it. Perfect place for a BBQ picnic.
Playground
Children barn huge hit for kids all ages, underneath are goats.
Restrooms
Super clean throughout grounds
Picnic area
Many places to picnic even if it's packed, which rarely is these days
Good place for hiking and kids to enjoy barn and see farm animals such as rabbit, sheep, goat, pigs. Lot of fun activity for kids to do at children’s farm with different type of slides. Very well maintained park with beautiful trail. My son enjoyed every bit of it and it was great experience for him to connect to nature and animals, must visit place in springs. I have added small reel from my Insta handle covering all the aspects of park
Wonderful Provincial park close to the city. There is a Gnome Road where there are many decorated bird houses and fairy houses along the trail. There is also a barn area where you will find sheeps, turkeys, free run chickens and cows. Bring some quarters if you want to buy some animal food from the vending machine. There is also a 5 km loop gravel trail for biking with almost no traffic (occasionally a park vehicle will be on the trail).
great park for a walk with the family. there are outdoor and indoor places for picnics and birthday celebrations. walking trails through the forest. a variety of birds that you can feed from your hand. there is a farm in 1886 and it is alive. you can feed rabbits, goats, pigs. and enjoy the space. nearby is an outdoor swimming pool for people, where you can enjoy clean water in the fresh air. There is a paid, large parking lot.
A great place for bird watching, hiking, group picnics. Lots of entertainment for young children including a kids play barn and farm animals throughout the park (cows, sheep, turkeys, chickens). There's a large number of deer in the park. Watch out for ticks; be sure to check yourself and your dogs. Also, I suggest avoiding the off-leash dog area if you have a small dog, as many of the dogs are large and sometimes aggressive.
Not a bad camp ground. Pretty basic as far as Provincial parks go. The washrooms were clean. They had several parks and trails. Sites were well laid out and easy to get on and off of either our 28' trailer. Some turns in the 400 section were a bit tight to pull through but take your time and you'll be just fine.
Playground
Fun for the kids. They enjoyed the variety of equipment.
Restrooms
Clean and bright.
Beautiful place, there is an off leash area, but it wasn’t very we’ll signed so we just kept our dog unleash and all was good, she is very well trained so we didn’t have any issues, also there was not a lot of people, but it looks like during the summer there will be. The parking is 18$ but very worth it, the place is very well maintained. Washrooms everywhere, many picnics tables. We spotted a few deer and eagles!!
I was there volunteeering for a fundraser and I have never been even though I've lived in the area for 15 years. What a fabulous place to have in the middle of all this urbanization. The park was in excellent condition, the facilities were big and clean and the few staff we encountered were knowledgable and helpful. A great place to run a 5K since the service road is entirely within the park itself. Just perfect.
This campground has friendly staff and nice spots. There is an alcove of trees around a each spot with very tall grasses to help inclose your campsite. The electrical hookups are a length away and you might need an extension. The pictures are of one of the many wildflowers and a butterfly pollinating a plant at my campsite! I would recommend going here!
Dog-friendliness
Has an off-leash path for dogs.
In the heart of the suburbs this park has many trails to choose from and the Half Moon Trail is my favourite, especially in the spring. So many native Ontario plants hiding in the underbrush and this last visit a Bald Eagle greeted us and I've now seen the most mature Jack-in-the-pulpit yet! When the kids were smaller the play barn was high on our visits and I love going on a lunch picnic with my husband.
Huge park but poorly maintained. Swimming closed in the mid-Summer heat?? Don't know what the issues are but the park shop and buildings close to the pool were abandoned and dilapidated. Trees and fields were well cared for, so still a great place if you are seeking outdoor green lungs and quiet. Good place for a picnic, walks and hikes. But for the admission fees, I am not sure it is worth a visit.
What a beautiful place! Weather forecast 31 but it felt like 40 wish they open the pool. You guys had 2 years to make repairs but yet the pool is not open??? Today would be the perfect time to reopen the pool for this year with restrictions opening up. Conservation admission fees i don't mind paying but I wish the pool was open especially during this heat wave. (- 4 stars for not opening the pool)
Bronte creek has all the basics for an outdoor event, lots of parking, good shelters at a good price. Nice nature although theres a somewhat lack of shade in the day use area of the park I was in which can be less than ideal on a hot day. Otherwise lovely park with good staff who keeps it clean and are very pleasant to deal with. Bathrooms are some of the cleaner ones ive used in provincial parks.
Quiet. Frequently patrolled. Huge manicured sites in the midst of dense Carolinian forest. A very surprising experience considering it's sandwiched between the Burlington and Oakville concrete jungle. A little bit of hum at night from the nearby QEW (which you'll need to use briefly to get between day use and camping areas). Not much to do but great spot to kick back and relax on ones site.
Met a friend at this Ontario Provincial Park this past weekend. It was very family friendly, clean and well maintained. There were pigs, piglets, rabbits and goats. The piglets were too cute, everyone enjoyed watching them the most. There is also a playbarn for kids to have some indoor fun. The best part was the Gnome and Fairy walk. The little ones loved it. There is a parking charge.
We went for the maple syrup festival where they have activities for children. You can see in the photos I have attached all the activities they have. To get to the festival drive all the way till the end of the park. Parcking lot F. Take in consideration that it could be muddy dependent on the weather of course. On and all we enjoyed the day and the activities there. We love maple!
Great place to hike especially for novice hikers since it is mainly plain. Just be careful on some icy patches along the way on some trails. They have a nice, big hill for sledding/tobogganing. It is a huge place so you won’t be able to get to all trails in a day. $18 for a vehicle to get in if you don’t have the Ontario Parks annual pass. The kids loved seeing the farm animals.
It is pretty large a park, a lot of parking spaces. The colors on the north side of the Bronte Creek was very beautiful, but the view from the Ravine trail was blocked by the trees on the south side of the creek, so was the view from the lookout. There were some good views along he Half Moon Valley trail. The scenery along the Maiden's Blush trail was awesome.
Amazing place in the heart of a busy area. It's a hidden gem with something for everybody. We absolutely love going here for a little escape. Whether it's the off the leash dog park, hiking trails, nature centre, fun events or the children's playbarn, there is literally someone for everybody to do. Highly recommend the yearly pass that's only $110 for a year.
Came here for the first time on a late Saturday afternoon in March and got no further than the play barn because the kids had so much fun. I know there’s a lot more to explore so I want to go back to the park on a warmer day. The barn wasn’t heated. I was surprised at having to pay $18 to park (a full days cost) when the day was nearly over.
This year was the first time we attended the Harvest Festival at Bronte Creek Provincial Park. There were pumpkins to pick (by donation), tractor rides (by donation), apple cider demonstrations, barn animals, games, tour of the farmhouse and more. Our children (8 and 7 years old) are looking forward to the Festival again next year.
Hiking through this park feels like an adventure. You get a map at the front gates, and you're free to explore everything from sprawling fields to serene forest to picturesque ravines. I would definitely recommend visiting here at least once. And if you haven't already, check out Gnome Road near Parking Lot C - you won't regret it!
Amazing park to go on a nice trekking trip, very quiet on the walking trails, i did almost 8.5 km and we didn't finish all park during our walk, you get to part with nice river. I like it some areas free leash for the dogs to have lots of fun. Very clean camping areas. very nice to spend camping night or just to go for the day.
We had a great experience at Bronte Creek! Sites were quiet and spacious. Staff were friendly. Unfortunately the women's bathroom near our site didn't have any soap so we all just used the men's room to wash our hands. The firewood was decent. The kids definitely want to go back when the pool is fixed and back open.
I called and spoke with Ontario Parks Staff, Danielle from the Day Use Area. She was SUPER nice, friendly and helpful answering my questions (even when most of my questions were regarding the campground). Her professionalism and customer service were OUTSTANDING! She DEFINITELY deserves a raise and praise!
A great park for riding bikes, hiking, picnics, dog walking and group BBQs. There's a barn with sheep and cows, and an old heritage house where they do presentations. There's camping on the other sites of this creek, however, no bridge connects the two parts so you have to go out of your way to get there.
During the Covid season a few of the amenities were closed, but the parking price remained the same. With that being said, the park is large and very clean, with plenty of parking and picnic tables available. The washrooms were extremely clean and all the park rangers were very professional and polite.
Great park with lots of things to do with families, friends, or on your own during all seasons. Our family has used it for BBQs, tossing the frisbee, washer toss, walks, bike rides and tobogganing. One of my favourite things to do is seeing deer during my bike rides. I took this picture June 22.
A huge, beautiful park with long trails and a variety of landscapes, animals, plants, and colors to enjoy spending time in and around! I highly recommend this place.
Restrooms
Large, clean restrooms.
Picnic area
The picnic area was really nice and clean and close to the restrooms.
Pricing is good, staff are friendly and they buy the absolute cheapest toilet paper. The floor under the rolls has little 1 inch pieces on the floor because when someone tries to unroll it it just pulls a chunk off it's so thin. It's really not a problem though , you just bring your own.
Bronte Creek Park was quite full in the parking lot for everyone to see the magnificent British Classic Car!! The patterning of gentle British rain did not stop the owners of the fantastic display of gorgeous vehicles!! I'll be there for a great viewing at Bronte Creek Park next year!!
Its a beautiful park in oakville. Entrance parking fee is $18. We went to the F parking lot to see the salmon fish near the trail. There were sheeps, cows and beautiful old structural buildings housing them. My experience was the best here. The track, the trail everything was so good.
Bronte creek is one of the best places in Niagara for hiking and camping! Healthy animals, clean environment, and most of all very dog friendly. This place has so many hiking trails(long and short) and different activities for everyone to enjoy. We come here as often as possible!
Nice place and nice scenery! Didn't expect to pay. But its $17 per car! Beautiful mountain bike trails and hiking trails! Some are intermediate and some are advanced! The place is a beauty and it has a nice farm to visit that shows the life of old farmers. Great for kids.
One of the great places to go camping within GTA. I would recommend getting a yurt if you've never tried it. A little expensive but it's worth it. Enough space for 6 with bunk beds, table-chairs and outdoor chairs. Grill with propane tank is cherry on top.
We had a very private campsite and could not see our neighbours in any direction. Does not feel like the city at all, although you can hear the highway humming in the background. Friendly staff! Lots of trails for walking or bike riding. Watch for skunks!
Love going to this park! Trails are well maintained and so beautiful and peaceful! Love their farm house and the barn. Very kids friendly. Maple syrup festival there is definitely worth a visit! So much fun for the whole family. Pancakes are delicious!
Been here before. Make sure you get a site with shade...hot sun in some areas with no shade.
Playground
Good for kids
Restrooms
Cleaned often
Dog-friendliness
Nice size park
Picnic area
Lots of shades and non shades areas..
Maple Syrup festival is a must visit. You get to experience history and taste freshly made maple syrup, candy and many more fun activities. Guided tours are very informative. Dont forget to carry some change. Do try Fresh taffy. Happy spring everyone!
Fantastic provincial park nestled in the middle of Oakville. An easy get away for city dwellers. Some sites are wide open and others and secluded. The staff at the front gate is very friendly and informative. Washroom facilities were amazingly clean.
Very clean and quiet. Be prepared to bring very long power cord extensions as power poles are a long ways from your campsite. These are shared poles and some don’t offer two 30 amp plugs. I would check before setting up.
Restrooms
Very clean
Great scenic place, very clean washrooms, a slide few swings. This is mainly great for trailing, cycling etc. There is a great picnic spot (picnic shelters), BBQ is allowed. Entry parking fees is 18 CAD per car for the full day for all family.
Get your Provincial Park pass and head over here often. This Park has km's of trails, lots kf picnicking areas, a refreshing stream, lots of sights to experience in all seasons. Tha dog park/off-leash area has trails and paths to walk, some
Every Saturday morning, come rain or shine, any season, I'll take my bike out there and ride. Some very nice easy trails for riders of any level. For me, it's just a time to get out theree and enjoy the wonderful scenery. Take a trip there
I was a little disappointed on the day I came with my special need boy. We wanted to see the petting zoo. Only horses and sheep was out. I couldn't get my money's worth when I paid $18 for parking for 2hrs. Sorry just disappointed that day.
Awesome place to spend the day with families and friends. Animals are there you can feed to them, take trail walks or just chill by the playground. Went on a trail filled with fairy houses, gnomes, and cute burd houses..cool place for kids
A great spacious park for a nice family picnic! Although, the pool was not open and we were looking forward to using it. No where did it say that it was not open for business. The website needs to be updated and at the entrance/sign posts.
Scenic trails and lush greenery! Unique ravine lookout with gorgeous views downstream and across the hills. Park is well maintained and the grounds and easy to navigate. You may ask for a map at the entry, which is a paid fee. Hiking is a
Went to Bronte Creek Provincial Park to take some footage for my YouTube channel. The park is nestled right in the city and has plenty of things to do. There is a barn with horses, cows, sheep etc. There are lots of space for picnic,
What I am missing here? I have seen the reviews and don't understand. Was I in the same place? I attended my 10th annual family picnic this past weekend July 8th and we did a day pass with BBQ and games. Never have I seen a place so
We went for the trails and tails walk on behalf of one of the main sponsors MEye Health Eyecare put together Burlington Rotary Club in support for Food for Kids. Great event.
Dog-friendliness
The pooches give an A-woof Plus.
Great place for a family reunion, had a fun time in the park pavilion which came with a small kitchen area, very handy for older people, out of rain and elements. Large park, well laid out and good signage throughout, lots of parking
What a cool park! We had a lot of fun walking all the trails. The pavilions and grills were busy but there weren't that many people on the trails.
Restrooms
Restrooms were open and clean enough, being a park bathroom.
Lots of areas for family picnic. There are plenty of parking spaces and walking trails. Creek acces is very small but beautiful. The pool remains closed, which is a bummer.
Dog-friendliness
There is a leash free zone
Trail & hill running at its best! Expansive, amenities abound & varied terrain/footpaths. Take the more secluded parking area (D) and soak up sunshine, solitude & silence. Bring refreshments and enjoy Bronte’s woodlands!
The park is really well maintained. Entry fee is $19.95. I am not sure if the management should consider decreasing the fee as access to the antique homes, camping and a few other activities are not allowed due to Covid.

A very nice and quiet provincial park. Went there for a 5 day getaway. Had some nice, shaded trails. Staff was very friendly. Park was quite clean. Be careful when turning in. There is a large rock on the right side.
Attended the Annual Turkey Trout 5K and 10K run fundraiser. Fantastic event Parin’s really well maintained beautiful atmosphere all year round. Great place to bring the family and kids or host outdoor events.
Great park! Loved all the hiking trails, huge park with lots of different things to see and do! Wish the park could figure out some sort of foot bridge/trail so you didn't have to drive to the day use part.
Has some great elevations for your hike. Love the trail area where there are different types of bird houses scattered all over. My daughter loved pointing them out and remembers them from this hiking trip.
I have been going to Bronte Creek/Petro Canada park for the past 25 years. It is just like day one to me. Love the surroundings the look and nature. Great place to teach young ones how to fish. Good luck.
My family has been camping in Bronte Creek camp ground for many years. It's a nice camp ground with clean washroom and shower. The only thing I don't like is new houses keep building around that area....
Great campground. Had a park, great trails, a small storefront, dog park (which we unfortunately didn't get to check out). Its in the city so you do hear traffic but its a great get away spot to camp.
Nice big park! There're many picnic chairs and banches, so it's convenient to bring food to go on a picnic on weekend. There has several trails, but don't have time to take a look. Will do next time!
Our favourite provincial park. You can stroll by the creek, up and down the hills, the valley, or just spread your blanket for a picnic. There are washrooms and playground for the kids to have fun.
Good place for picnic and camping. Lots of trails for evening walks. Some attractions were closed because of Covid-19. $18 entry fee per car. Worth visiting with family and group of friends.
We are absolutely happy to live near this park. At any time of the year, this is a great place for walking or cycling. Our son loves to feed pets on a small farm. Wonderful friendly staff.
This place is fantastic. We camped and stayed the night. View the trails that are offered. One of my all-time great experiences was that. Enjoy the trip with your loved ones and friends.
Lots of improvements have been made since last summer. The annual park pass has come down in price. The park has so much to offer.
Dog-friendliness
We love the leash free area!
We've been here few times. The place is really nice, lots to see and the employees are also very friendly. There are many animals to see and pet. Love the maple festival there too!
Great place for BBQ! Kids can check out some animals and a barn. Dogs are welcome on leash. There are pavilions with picnic tables for shade. All included for the $18 parking. More
We had our annual family BBQ in area D. Very disappointed the pool is closed for the 3rd year in a row. Does it really take three years to repair a pool? How ridiculous is that?!
A fun place to visit with your family , they have farm animals as well for kids. I just wish they opened their pool because it’s such a beautiful area to be at during the summer.
