The best chair side manner I have had since I was a child. Dr. Moshman was kind, honest, and above all informative when it came to my dental needs. I had gone for a cleaning to a different dentist in town and was quickly told I needed 3 fillings. I questioned this due to the fact that I had not needed dental work in 15 years. So I turned to Dr. Moshman. I chose his office based on the doctors' education and years they have been in practice, over 3 generations. Dr. Moshman listened to my concerns, reviewed my prior x-rays and examined the teeth in question thoroughly. As he looked at each tooth he assured me the 3 teeth in question did not need a filling at this time. He stated he would continue to monitor the teeth until the decay was enough to warrant a filling. Was I relieved and confident in Dr. Moshman's examination. Not only did his advice set my mind at ease but it also saved me the cost of 3 fillings at this time. I will continue to see Dr. Moshman and his staff from this day forward. This is the dental office you go to for your entire life if you can find one like this. I never write reviews but in this case where the services being sold are so crucial to my health and wellbeing I have taken the time to share my great experience with the rest of Brooklyn. My first visit to the Moshman practice--ca 1980--was around the time their most recent (non-family) partner, Dr Christopher Bowers, was born, and likely a decade before the birth of Dr Andrew Moshman. For many years, too, I was a patient of former partner, Dr William Sussman (retired). Everyone in the practice has been kind and caring and professional. Before I turned 60 I had many fillings and two extractions. More recently I have had four crowns, two involving root canals. Naturally I was upset about the crowns. Carolyn, the hygienist whom I've seen for years, congratulated me when I needed the first one. I have also been welcome to hold the purple monkey (lost in the recent renovation) or to bring my own bear during serious procedures. Now and then I have been rewarded with something from the basket of children's toys in the front office, where Marcia greets me with her warm, sympathetic smile whenever I come in for treatment. A few days ago, for the first time in my life, I left a dental office joyfully. After many attempts to pinpoint the source of an annoying chill in one of my upper teeth, Dr Bowers replaced a disintegrating filling, solving the problem. It is with great enthusiasm that I recommend (and have recommended) Moshman Dental to everyone I know. R&S

A++++++++++. I've been a patient at Moshman Dental, a third generation family practice, for 30 years. In addition to excelling at their craft, Doctors Moshman and Bowers are dedicated and honest about the work you need done (something you don't always find in Manhattan). They're also highly skilled, up to date on the latest procedures, and their equipment is state of the art. I really appreciate that they always take the time to show me x-rays, explain the work I need done, answer questions and provide updates during the procedure. Quite a few patients travel to Brooklyn Heights from Manhattan to see them -- I was once one of those (the practice is near the Borough Hall subway). I'm writing this review now because I'm just completing a lengthy, complicated root canal procedure. The care and attention I received from both Drs. Moshman and Bowers was incredible. They were gentle, kind and always in good humor. They were also responsive when I reached out after hours. The office is well run by knowledgeable and pleasant staff, including Dr Moshman's wife Karen. After all these years, I've never had to wait more than a couple of minutes (max) for an appointment.

Great experience! I made an appointment here to get a second opinion when a dentist in Manhattan suggested a procedure that sounded unnecessarily invasive and expensive to correct a tiny chip in one of my back teeth. I saw Dr. Andrew Moshman, who is a third generation dentist in the family that runs this office. He was very professional and personable, and was able to suggest a different treatment that would cost less and be less invasive. My favorite thing about this office was that I didn't feel like they were rushing to get the appointment over with and get to the next patient, or like they were just trying to find a way to get me to pay for more dental work (something I've experienced with other dentists). I liked that they seemed to care more about giving me the care that was best, and less about getting the most money out of me. Also, the office was apparently recently renovated. I never saw the old one, but everything was very polished and shiny when I went. Staff was very friendly and professional.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Christoper Bowers for more than four years and cannot think of a more committed dentist. Dr. Bowers is honest and doesn’t give up on his patients, even when the going gets tough. He performed a root canal on a severely damaged tooth of mine with the upmost care. I went back to him for Invisalign treatment months after — to address severe overcrowding — and my case was no easy fix. Dr. Bowers stuck with my treatment plan to the very end to make sure my bite is correct (even when he needed to do so remotely during Covid lockdowns). He treats every patient with integrity and respect and will never tell you he sees a cavity if he doesn’t see a cavity.

I can go comic or serious with this review because Dr. Stanley Moshman, his delightful son, Andrew, and their outstanding partner, Dr. Chris Bowers, are both sublimely personable and professional. But I’ll stick with what I’m scared of: pain. There is none. And efficiency: no waiting. Hygienists and staff: excellent. Environment: clean and cheery. Vibe: familial. Red Hair: on Andrew’s head. But this young man is no “Opie (the young Ron Howard on “The Andy Griffith Show).” He is a top-notch young pro attuned to the latest techniques and technology. You want comedy? Try Moshman Dental a few times and laugh at yourself for looking forward to the next visit.

Dr. Moshman's and everyone in the office are terrific ... very gentle on the teeth and super friendly and professional. I've been going here for many years, as do my children, my brother's family and my Uncle, Aunt and some friends. My daughters use Dr. Bowers and the hygienists are first class. Karen and everyone in the office also take excellent care of all of us. Indeed, I have to say they make going to the dentist as pleasant an experience as anyone could ever hope for. If I could give them 6 stars I'd give them 7!

I can't say enough about the Dental Practice. I have been a client for years and would be hard pressed to go anywhere else. I've had everything done from fillings to root canals. They do the job professional and keep you in the loop all the way through the procedures. I recently had some cosmetic bonding done by Dr. Bowers, and the results where absolutely beautiful! If your looking for a practice that actually cares about their clients, this is the place for you. And by the way I travel there from the upper east side.

I don’t even live in NYC — or even the east coast — anymore but I’ll be a loyal Moshman Dental patient for life. The staff members are gentle with a soft touch on your head/mouth, their machinery is quiet (no one comically revving a drill in your sight line), and their X-ray and camera equipment is top of the line. But most importantly, you don’t FEEL like you’re at the dentist when you’re there — they’ve somehow figured out how to remove the psychological baggage from the dental visit experience.

Everybody at Moshman dental is kind and professional. The dental hygienists always do a thorough cleaning and the receptionists are organized and helpful. At my most recent appointment Dr. Andrew Moshman rush ordered a night guard before I moved out of state, but due to holiday delays and COVID it didn’t come in time. However, Dr. Moshman came in on New Year’s Day when the office was closed just to get me the mouth guard. This family practice wholeheartedly cares about their patients. Thank you!

Very negative. Post pandemic the staff has been replaced and are still being trained. Stanley Moshman DDS refused to have me as a patient any more after over 30 yrs. because I declined routine non diagnostic X rays due to health issues as I had always done. It was my distinct feeling that he wanted to get rid of me because of age discrimination and because I had issues about a crown put in at their office and had mentioned it three times. Coincidence ? Caveat emptor !

Moshman Dental is the first dentist office that I've actually liked. After years of not trusting dentists, Moshman Dental was a breath of fresh air. They've taken extraordinary care to make sure I knew exactly what their recommendations were, and the reasoning behind them. Once we decided on a course of action, they took the time and care necessary to ensure that things were done correctly. If you're in the market for a new dentist, I can't recommend them enough!

Dr. Stanley Moshman has been my dentist for 36 years. And I would never go elsewhere. So I guess I'm in trouble when he retires. As a physician, I appreciate his depth of knowledge and meticulous and careful approach. His entire office staff is extremely nice, and his dentist colleagues and hygienist seem extremely competent and nice too. But, as I said, I use Stanley exclusively. He's the best.

This is the best dental office. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and I’ve tried other dentists, but I keep coming back because the hygienists are kind and skilled and thorough, and the doctors are trustworthy, reliable and talented. They have cared so well for my teeth and I’m so grateful. The whole operation is top notch. I couldn’t recommend Moshman Dental more highly!

The Moshman practice has always been terrific-- thoughtful, careful, gentle. And their newest dentist, Chris Bowers, is following in their fine tradition. I had the privilege of seeing Dr. Chris Bowers for an emergency procedure, a broken composite filling about 9 years old. He took his time, was extremely gentle and the work is beautiful l. I cannot recommend the work of the office highly enough. Finding an office that’s ethical, cares and is compassionate is hard to find. You are in good hands here.

I’ve been going here for almost 20 years starting with Dr. Moshman who is now retired, and have been using Dr. Bowers for the last 12. This place is top notch. I could not ask for a better dentist with Dr. Bowers. Truly a class act the whole way through from the receptionists to the doctors. Everything about this place is outstanding.

Dr Stan Moshman treated me following a bad fall on Henry Street. I fell flat on my face and my lip was badly cut and at least one tooth was fractured. Dr. Moshman stitched my upper lip and X-rayed the effected teeth. He was very calm and soothing as he worked. My internist said that he did a beautiful job on the stitches.

Brooklyn Comfortable Dentistry always provides top notch service. Taylor was my hygienist today. She was on time and did a painless and thorough cleaning. Dr. Bowers followed up with an exam. He is an excellent dentist and always explains everything he is doing. I highly recommend Brooklyn Comfortable Dentistry.

Always really good!! I had Marie the hygienist clean my teeth for the first time (she’s new) talk about comfortable I fell asleep. Great touch very soothing while doing a great cleaning job! Thank you! Dr Bowers is excellent too! Very caring and knowledgeable. Has done great work on my teeth also very gentle!

Got a root canal from Dr. Bowers who did a great job! Not only was the root canal perfectly executed, but it also healed beautifully with barely any discomfort afterwards (managed with a couple of doses of advil)! Carolyn is also a great hygienist and the office staff is super polite and helpful as well.

The staff is wonderful. Dr. Bowers is second to none. I'm surprised it's still relatively easy to get an appointment with him. And the new hygienist Taylor is lovely, thorough and pain-free! i'm so glad I found this office in Brooklyn.
