I want to thank this vet for the kindness and compassion myself and my dog were shown yesterday during one of the hardest days a pet owner has. My dog who was 10 years old was seen at an urgent care vet earlier in the day due to severe discomfort and apparent pain. After being charged or attempted to be charged exorbitant amounts of money I breeched the topic of euthanasia due to the degenerative and progressive nature of what was found on imaging. The vet I was at rudely and harshly declined and even had me sign AMA documents and basically called me Unethical. My mom called Brookeville for a second opinion. She has 5 dogs that are all regular patients of this office. The team completely felt our request was within reason and the compassion and apologies we were met with were overwhelming and wonderfully validating. Not only did they provide this feedback they graciously offered to make room for my dog to help us out her to rest. Their office was booked that day, but they understood the difficulty in making this decision and how hard it would have been to wait for days and days. So, I drove from the first office to their office. Had a very professional, educational, and realistic conversation about what my options were and in the end decided to let my senior doggy rest. They provided her comfort and dignity and her final snack (which she loved) and she peacefully left this earth. I am so grateful for the care we received yesterday and will bring any future pets to their office. I 100% recommend this clinic. Thank you for what you do.

I have never been more disappointed with a vet visit in my entire life, and I have had many. We took our 9-year-old 135 lb German shepherd in for a torn ACL consultation. The office staff was okay but not real welcoming in my opinion. The Dr. came in, examined his leg and told us he had blown his ACL and that surgery was the only option for him. This is a dog that before the ACL injury had pre-existing hip dysplasia, arthritis and significant muscle loss. The Dr. did not look at the x rays, history or degree of these issues that were sent to them by our regular vet, RED FLAG #1. We asked how this would affect the recovery from ACL surgery and was given a round about answer, not quoting him because I do not remember his exact words but basically that was all secondary to the injury, RED FLAG #2. He was more than willing to do the surgery that day. We took him home with us and sought a second opinion. We were advised not to do the surgery. He was not a good candidate for recovery, due to the degree of deterioration from the other issues we would be doing him more harm than good and if we did, the probability of him never walking again was very high, so high that if we did want to proceed with it they would not do it. They offered to help with pain management for him and advised us to take him home and love him for the time he had left. I thank God that there are still Vet who honestly have the best interest of the animals at heart over the desire for money in their pockets!

Please note that my experience and rating are solely based on the interaction over the phone. I have not visited this establishment. The one star rating is based on the friendliness and service over the phone. The woman who answered the phone was extremely rude and seemed to not be bothered when the situation with my pet was being explained. She cut you off when trying to speak. After she let me know there was no availability for at least a week out, I asked if she had a recommendation for another vet. She huffed no and asked if that was all. I asked if there was a nurse or doctor on staff I could speak with to see what they suggested in the meantime to make them comfortable before I could get a visit scheduled and before I could finish she was rushing me to ask if I was making an appointment or not. Had this woman been a little more warm and welcoming, we might have chosen this establishment as our new home vet. I know the saying goes don't judge a book by its cover, but if she was like this over the phone, it just makes you wonder how your pet and you'll be treated in person.

I want to share this experience as a teaching tool so that it doesn’t happen to someone else. My cat had just been found dead under our couch. I had called ahead and gave all information via phone to drop her off in a box for cremation. I arrived, the vet tech comes out, asks for my information again, I explained i had just called.. her response was “nobody passed it on” I continue to give the information, i then follow her into the building, hand them my cat in a box who was just pulled from under the couch, eyes open, in rigor mortis, who i have been looking for all day.. the price ended up being alot more than quoted on the phone for her cremation.. i mentioned it, was told “oh no it is definitely $98 not $35”.. i get a call a bit later and realize i took her to the wrong vet because apparently there are now 3 in that same vicinity.. my point is think for your pet parents.. that young vet tech should have thought for one second “maybe this poor lady is at the wrong office” Please do better.

Brought my dog in for well check and to update her shots. I was asked if there were any problems and informed Dr. Lindstrom she might have an ear infection since she continued to shake her head. She stuck a Qtip in each ear and said that she could check by placing the debris on a slide for $52; she refused to use an otoscope. I have never had a doctor say they could only check for an ear infection by a placing a smear on a slide and then place it under a microscope, My impression from her was that she would do nothing extra since this visit was for vaccines - I really wanted her to look in her ears and was totally dismissed. I have always had Dr. Pagan examine my dogs for the last 25 years and feel he would listen to the owner. How much time does it take to look with an instrument designed for ear inspections? Totally unimpressed with this vet - doubt I will ever return.

I was very unsatisfied with the services that were provided. The customer service is not good. We took our pregnant dog to get and get an ultrasound to see how many puppies she had in her, they were not able to give an accurate number of puppies. We asked for an xray, that they stated would show the accurate number of puppies in which then they charged an extra $200. There was still not a clear view, and they still were not able to tell the count accurately, and still charged the full amount. They lack support with newborn puppies when one became sick. I made an appointment for the puppies and mom..and an emergency arised so we had to cancel the same day unfortunately. I then received a bill for $124 in the mail for a service that we never even received. They use to be great, but not so great anymore. Treated like just a other family and dog..no compassion or care.

I'm not sure how to describe how very disappointed I am with this business. I took my dog here for 2 years (approx 2020 to 2022). Brookville Road has added silly fees to my bills and were over priced most of the time I was there. I was also disappointed that they would still want me to call from my car and drop my dog off rather than go in and meet the doctor as late as summer of 2022. To top things off, I ran about 15 mins late for an appointment, which was the first time i did that for the couple years I took my dog there and they insisted on sticking me with a $45 late charge even after I called to ask if we could waive it since I had never done that before. Overall, terrible service that is over priced. If anyone needs vet recommendations, I will be sure to steer them away from this clinic first, then recommend other places.

I have been talking my dogs to Brookville Road Animal Hospital for many years for routine vaccinations and check ups. Fortunately, none of them have had any major health issues until recently. This past week one of our dogs became very ill. They got her in right away. She was hospitalized for a few days and diagnosed with Addison's disease. Dr. Glick and the entire staff took wonderful care of our girl! They were compassionate and happy to answer all of our questions. Dr. Glick called twice a day to give us updates, and allowed us to come in and visit with our sick pup. She explained her condition and ongoing care needs. She also worked with us to find cost effective options for her medications going forward. I cannot recommend Brookville Road Animal Hospital enough!

We started coming to BRAH in 2022 and have had a great experience every time. As German Shepherd breeders, It’s important to have a vet clinic that understands reproduction and the time constraints that come with it. The front office staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The prices are competitive and Dr. Carr has been a please to work with and taken the time to explain and help us come up with a course of action/treatment. Most importantly, they’ve been able to get our dogs in for things like progesterone blood easily. They also offer AI services which is a major plus because hardly anyone in the Indianapolis area does. I really couldn’t recommended another clinic in the central Indy area. They have always made us feel welcome.

My lil old man had to have a large fatty tumor removed. It was his first surgery since his neuter nine years ago and this momma was terrified. I’m pretty sure everyone there thought he was being put down by how much I cried with him in the waiting room. Anyway, it’s a week later and he’s doing amazingly well. We were treated with such great care! I especially appreciate Emily, the woman at the front desk whom looked me right in the eyes when I was at my most upset and assured me that he would be okay and that his experience was very normal. She made that first night with him bearable.

Beyond wonderful! Squeezed me in with a drop off appointment for my red nosed pitbull foster dog. Same day surgery to remove a fatty, fibrous growth. Fate intervened...my husband was in an accident and was taken to Eskanazi Trauma Center. As soon as the Dr heard where I was, he told me not to worry about King--he was in great hands. They kept him overnight, fed him, loved him and let me stay with my husband (who was in ICU for 2 days). They are amazing! I highly recommend them and will be taking my other 2 dogs to them, going forward!!

My coworkers recommended this vet and I’m glad they did!! They squeezed my sick dog (jaundiced, vomiting, weight loss) in to be seen when no area vet had any openings for weeks. The vet was communicative with me and actually treated my dog for what was wrong unlike the ER vet I had taken her to 5 weeks ago. Their prices were much better than the ER also. The staff were very kind and helpful on the phone and in person. I highly recommend this vet office because they actually care about your pet and are not in it for the money!!

I have been going here for several years and in the past 2 years this place is not the same. No return phone calls with questions or concerns and can’t get an appointment. I just put my cat Socks down that I had for 19 years and they caused so much more anxiety and grief because they would not call me back until I called 4 times just to get a response of when I can bring her in. This has happened to me with two different doctors there and several times in the past few years. I will not be going here no longer.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. They just removed a giant mass off of one of my pups, the surgery was extremely efficient and the price was by far the cheapest I got in the entire city. This was my first experience with this vet, the professionalism there is unmatched. They are very careful with my old man, especially since he is paralyzed. The staff always helps me bring him in and shows him and his brother all the love in the world. Ill be making this place my primary veterinarian.

These veterinarians and staff are a God send! I have brought my French Bulldog here since we have lived in Indianapolis. On top of keeping her up to date on her shots, they saved her life when she overheated this summer! They are the only place I trust to treat her seasonal allergies and her ears! These staff are very friendly, professional, and they will communicate and answer any and all questions you have! I am very grateful for this staff and their services! I love them and so does my dog!

I was told one price dropping dog off. When I picked up I was told another price. Then they ran my card twice when I gave it to them and made it a whole 3rd total. Tried to just give me my credit card receipts and not paperwork of what they did. I had to ask for some. And still didn't get all the info I wanted. And my dog stunk to high heaven. They blanket I dropped her off with was disgusting too. Not sure what to think

Very understanding staff, I have a 10yr old pit and she needed to be seen . She doesn't have the best manners around other dogs and we had to wait outside till our appointment. They where very understanding and very sweet to her . Got all my questions answered and for a complete check up as well as a complete panel of bloodwork done the bill was not that bad. We will be returning for our regular check up's and shots.

They truly care about our dogs and kitties and their knowledge and hands-on experience means everything to us! They recently helped us through a difficult ear injury. Since Dr Canada left his clinic, these people are definitely about the money, first, and not about the care given. Very rude and uncaring front end staff. I've taken my fur babies here for over 20 years...It seems their monetary marker is $500 per visit. It's a completely different animal care experience from only 5 years ago. I'm looking for a vet that care about my animals more than my wallet.

Best with people to help our fur babies. Only place I will take mine. They have taken care of 4 of my daughters cats , only 2 left, and 1dog. They have help put my two old boys (dog 16yrs &14yr cat ), to rest . THEY ARE THE BEST . Not only on the prices, the service they give is so comforting. I give them 20 out of 10. They have been nothing but accommodating for my cats. They squeezed me in when I had an emergency, they don’t push extra things if you don’t need them. Doctor Pagan has called me after hours with various test results, and guided me every step of the way. I moved further away, but still won’t consider leaving this place; it’s worth the drive and the money, which is also very fairly priced.

I just recently started bringing my dog to this veterinary clinic and absolutely love it. Their well trained staff are all so nice and seem genuinely concerned about your pet's needs. They made us feel welcomed being new here and I feel very comfortable that whatever may come up concerning Bob's health that they will do their best to give him the upmost quality care that he deserves.

They have multiple doctors that are all great, I've also enjoyed that if one dr is unsure, they can instantly get a 2nd or 3rd opinion right then without you having to go to another vet and paying more money. They can usually get you into surgeries right away, and have care credit if you need help paying. I've also been told that they have some doctors who specialize in cats.

I had been taking my dog Blu there since the day I got him from the rescue. They have always been very wonderful to him and myself. And when the time came a few weeks ago to have to put him down they was very very caring about the while thing. I can't praise they for the care and thoughtfulness over the years. I will definitely bring another pet to them when the time comes.

The only reason we have taken our 2 dogs and 4 cats is due to the fact that they close. I can't really recommend them . They do a decent job when you have a scheduled appointment. Absolutely wonderful! We switch our dog to this vet and her care has been great. During a check up the vet was so kind and loving towards my dog and helpful in explaining things to me. And during the recent surgery she needed, they called to let me know everything went well & then texted me a picture of my dog while in recovery so I could see how she was doing!

I am grateful to the staff at Brookville Animal Hospital for their caring attitude toward me and my cat Lucy. I needed to have her euthanized and it's one of the hardest days. She made it to 21! Everyone I came into contact with showed so much care and support. My wishes were respected and she passed peacefully. Their policy, practice and care is excellent.

I found that this location is fabulous they are very responsive they are very modern. They have a login site where you can get prescription refills and pull your pets records. People return your phone calls and a timely manner. They work my sick dog in very rapidly and immediately ran labs they were very affordable I would recommend anybody to go here.

I brought my dog here after finding a lump on him. It was my first time. They came out and got him due to Covid. After about 20 minutes, the vet called me and went over everything. This included when to expect test results and how we would proceed if the different possibilities. Good News! He is okay! I'll be bringing all my pets here.

My puppy goes here, they are nice. Very busy like all vets now. Not easy to get into. But convenient location, staff has been very nice, they have an online web portal that shows information and I can email the staff through it. I am glad I chose them. My friend who used to breed dogs uses them for his dogs and recommended them.

The medical staff in this place is remarkable, they have been looking after my Gia for over 10yrs. They keep her health in order ,along with a few accidents my baby has acquired over the years. Working with the office staff and vet techs was pleasant. Right now its still curbside visits; the wait wasnt long. I will continue to go to this practice.

Attempted to have our first visit today. Was on hold for 20 minutes to "check in" to then be told we could wait for an hour or more in the car to be seen or reschedule. After waiting for more than 20min on the line to then reschedule, I gave up. Unfortunate. I wish I could have just been told before wasting the gas.

I recently had to say goodbye to my 17 year old cat. When it came time, the vet (I can't remember his name) was so professional, kind, and empathetic. Even though that moment was so hard, when I think back on it now I really appreciate how nice the vet was in that moment. He truly cared and that meant a lot to me.

Unfortunately because of Covid protocol, I didn't get an opportunity to meet the vet and staff, other than the assistant tat came to my pickup to get Georgi, and return her to me. I'm satisfied with their services. A year later and I finally got to meet the staff and vet, very nice people.

I board my BC there frequently, staff is great, and my BC seems well suited and happy..will continue to use this facility. Had a slight kennel cough after last visit but BC got over it pretty quick and kennel assured they are doing everything to clean properly and get it under control.

It's a big bummer you can't go in with your dog but the doctor called and explained everything to me in excellent detail and made sure I understood everything. The lady that took my dog in and brought him out after was super nice. I will use thus vet for everything from now on.

I have taken 2 of my dogs there and they are always amazing. I had a pit who was very timid of people and they had no issues with him or making him feel safe. During this virus they are offering curb side service to keep animals health in check and help not spread the virus!
