I am a returning customer, only 2nd time. I booked an appointment yesterday, August 27, 2023 for September 22nd. They have a no-cancellation policy of 48 hours, which is fair. I have had a personal injury (a degloving of my R index finger, skin graft). I called to cancel as I (thought I could but) could not afford the check-up this month with life changes and thought I would put the exam off a month to see what my new job financials were like. After requesting a cancellation, I was told that normally, this would not be allowed; they agreed to cancel today (one day after booking online, August 28) since it was in advance (almost a month). I inquired IS CANCELLATION POSSIBLE AT ALL once you book (even a month in advance) because it seemed there should be no issue since I was in policy guideline. In fact, I would think, per policy, it normally should be allowed unless it was 48 business hours prior to exam. I literally asked "so once I book, I am committed even if it is far enough out to cancel?". Was this an exception... or am I following policy??? "We will cancel it," and a she/he/they hung up on me. I felt their hesitation with such a comment, and I was booked far out... this was not a sign that I do not like. It seems like they depend on your deposit and once you book, you cannot cancel. They wouldn't let me cancel online even though the date was very far out either (I had to call). And I feel this in purposeful too... so you are committed. It was rude and I didn't need a lecture about the cancellation policy since I had read it and it was almost a month away. I thought this vet might be affordable and it seemed even more expensive than Noah's (my last clinic) in 2022. Regardless, it was my choice to try this new vet. But I felt it could have been handled differently, particularly since I was honoring the policy.

Giving 4 stars because the staff is really nice and 5 stars for them only. 2 or 3 stars for everything else. Anyway, like many others say, it seems like prices are a little gouged. For example, the case of 24 prescription food cost me $84 at my cat's visit, but when I ordered it online from their own pharmacy service, it cost me $61. Why charge over $20 extra? Is it because you know owners will pay extra to immediately get their pet care? This rubbed me the wrong way. After my pet's visit, my cat was throwing up occasionally and having runny stool. I read the directions of the medication he was given and it said to call the vet immediately if this happened. I tried calling and calling and Indy Paws would not answer their phone. I tried the text service but it was hours before I even got a response that they were looking into it. I waited all day about 7 hours and had to check in because it was 4pm on a Friday and I didn't want to go all weekend without an answer. They finally got back to me and told me not to give that final dose I was asking about. The exam room we were in had crusted blood and/or urine on the floor for my last visit. I used to volunteer at a vet and this just isn't acceptable imho. The overall look of Indy Paws could be a lot more inviting. Sure, this is an aesthetic thing and I'm a designer but I've been to a lot of vet offices that are way nicer for the same cost. I take my cat to this one because it's close and I don't want to stress him out with a longer drive.

How are you a veterinarian but can't handle certain breeds? EVERY VETERINARIAN SHOULD BE TRAINED FOR PITT BULLS. They are animals who need love and care just like a yippin ankle biter. I have a 2 year old Pitt Bull. Having problems finding a vet who is good with Pitt's. In my experience you either love Pitt Bulls or you're against them. My pup had the same vet his firsts 2 years, but the vet acted scared of him. So I heard good things about Indy Paws so I gave them a try. NO NO NO NEVER AGAIN!! The visit was for an ear infection and they never touched my dog. I keep a muzzle because I am a responsible Pitt Bull owner. Even with it they didn't lay one hand on my dog. First they asked what the old vet prescribed him, then they gave my husband the swabs to clean out his ear.... Uh my husband isn't a vet, he could have punctured my baby's ear drum or anything. Anyone know of a real Pitt Bull Vet please let me know. These places have no problem taking all your money but can't do the job they're supposed to do.

I am so happy I found Indy Paws. From the moment I walked in I felt very comfortable and cared for. The staff got me and my sick cat, Luna, into a room very quickly and the assistant came in and took all of our information. Dr. McGovern came in soon after and assessed Lunas issues and answered all of my questions and concerns. She explained the best course of action and asked if I was ok with the plan and if I had any other questions. She provided everything I needed to care for Luna and we were on our way. She called a few days later with bloodwork results and asked if there were any more questions. At that point Luna was already so much better and well on her way to what has been a great recovery. My initial call to Indy paws was to inquire about euthanasia services, but thankfully Dr. McGovern's assessment and course of treatment has given her back her health. We will absolutely be visiting Indy Paws many times in the future for the continued care of our pets. Thank you so much!

Assuming my pet hasn't had any previous care is really embarrassing. I told the vet my primary doctor wasnt in. My dog didn't have any flees or tics. Why try to charge me when you didn't even look. Secondly for your technican to give me a prescription w/o a signature just added more stress to my day and I essentially came to your vet clinic for nothing. You were trying to charge 121$ for a scrip that I would've been able to get for 61$. You swabbed my dogs ears w/o much of a fight or aggression and told me she would have to be put under for a ear cleaning for 300$. Idk any dog that willing will get a ln ear cleaning from a stranger theyve known for less than 10min. I came in there for 1 thing and I didnt receive any services. I didn't need a treatment plan. And I didn't want a specialized dog food. I was merely trying to explain that it didn't work before and resulted in her losing all the weight she gained back. Lesson learned will not be returning.

I brought my dog in on 4/14/23. It’s taken me a while to write a review as I am still grieving. My dog was injured when we took him in, a small wound to the neck. All the vet did was shave his hair off to see the wound. She gave us medicine and told us to wait it out and that “he’ll heal in one to two weeks”. They didn’t run any tests to see if the dog that attacked him had rabies or anything, no nothing. I was charged about $300 and they did nothing to my dog. I took him to indypaws at around 4:35 pm that Friday. My baby boy died at around 8:00 pm that night. I fully blame the vet and I am really angry to this day. I would not recommend this vet to anyone.

UPDATE: The response from this provider is completely different from the information I was given over the phone on the day i cancelled the surgery appointment - and no one called me that did not reach me, i spoke with you. I scheduled a dental for my dog in March for May 11, paid a $100 deposit. In-between this time, they raised their prices several hundred dollars. I cancelled the surgery (within the time limit required) and they will not refund my deposit. Since this clinic changed hands, it seems they are more about the money than anything else. I have been a long time client, but will not go back there.

Really caring people! My dog fell on the ice a couple of days ago and couldn't stand up from a sit position by himself. I called right when they opened and they told me to bring him in within 2 hours. Dr. Wiley is an amazing vet. Takes her time and really cares about your animal. They kept him for a few hours, gave him a little sedation to help with pain & anxiety so they could get good xrays. Dr. Wiley called me herself and went over all the findings and the treatment plan. I am so grateful for them. The techs lifted him out of the car and back in for me. He is already feeling better. Thank you Indy Paws!

Everyone is wonderful. My pet appears to be treated like their own. They were very good with my kitty! It’s comparatively expensive, but I don’t go elsewhere because it is so close to me and I do like the vets and staff. Not for the first time, Dr. McGovern answered my questions and explained everything so well! I have always been given the time needed to ask questions and gain understanding by both vets. I also like the way my fur babies look when I pick them up after surgery. This office is very organized and they run surgery days (with drop off and pick up) with great smooth precision.

I took my cat in for a wound to his paw n 4/12. I told the vet that it was a bite wound and she said that his bone seemed broken. Did x rays and told me that the X-rays cost 250 i told her that was fine. She took the cat and came back saying that it was not broken but they needed to run more test to tule our infection. Sent us home with pain meds and did nothing else to the cat … say they would call me with the results … today is 4/20 and i still haven’t heard anything from them. $700+ and have nothing to show for. Don’t waste your money ! Thanks for following up on my pet’s care

I cannot say just how wonderful this place is. All of the people are lovely, and I have never felt like my cat was in better hands. I came in accidentally the wrong day (totally due to my error as I was freaking out about my cat who had serious problems) and they made a little time to see her anyway Spot came back from a blood and urine draw relaxed! That's never ever happened with my elderly girl, especially when she's in the kind of pain she's in. I hope they never close down because they have earned patients for life. You won't regret trusting them with your animals.

We absolutely love this practice. 2 of our 9 dogs have had to have surgery. We knew our babies would be well taken care of. They have both healed 100% following surgery, one a little over a week ago. The practice Does not price gouge. During consult, the doctor will give a complete breakdown. Never, Ever, Never, Ever has the procedure go to the high cost. We've always felt like we've been treated honorably both with the bill and most importantly, the care and love provided to our babies. What are you still reading for, take my review to heart. Make an appointment !!

I am happy to say that after years of visiting this Vet location and several name changes it has only been a great place for my pets. Very empathetic staff and the Doctors have always been very good. As for my visit yesterday after several years I was blown away by the service and appearance at Indy Paws Veterinary Hospital. With each name change this through the years things only got better. I've been taking my two dogs to Indy Paws for over a year. All my visits have been outstanding. The staff is always very friendly and good with my boys. Dr. Wiley is amazing and always knows how to treat my dogs to feel better. I'm usually in and out rather quickly which helps with my busy schedule. The online appointment scheduling is so convenient since I work nights. I highly recommend Indy Paws. They're a great team of professionals, always there for my boys.

We searched many different vets across the city and landed on Indy Paws. They were great with our Cleo. They took the time to discuss all the options, showed lots of care and concern for Cleo and communicated every step of the way. Dr Kiersten Wiley and ALL her staff were all smiles and happy times! We really appreciate what they did for us and how they went about it. Couldn't ask for more!

I brought my dead dog in today to be cremated and it was treated like a business transaction. The first thing the front desk girl said to me is, "bring him to the scale to be weighed". Zero compassion or empathy for a woman holding her dog that she's had for 11 years! I do not have faith that his cremation will be handled with respect now.

As a new dog mom I had alot of questions. After experiencing a horrible visit from a previous vet visit I was a little nervous. But everyone there was super helpful and very patient. From booking the appointment to checkout was the same excellent level of service! Even my dog Rocko enjoyed the experience. He had a smile the whole time!

Such a wonderful, easy and quick experience. It is a nice, clean facility. Everyone is professional and I feel like they truly have your pet’s health at the forefront of their care. The vets with us took the time to go through the vaccinations and answer all my questions. It was so great!

They gave my Tank a fighting chance and fight he did. We got some extended quality time with him before his time to crossover the rainbow bridge. Only wish I had found them years ago. 10/10 recommend. All of the staff from front desk to Drs are so fabulous and go above and beyond.

Friendly helpful staff and Dr. Wiley was incredible with my dogs. They took to her like she was part of the pack straight away. The appointment ran a little long because they were so thorough, but these days I see that as a good sign. My puppies are in good hands here

My dog had to have a tumor removed and this vet office did amazing with her. Each of the the follow up appointments and text messages checking in were with actual care. Raven is much better now with years of her senior life left to enjoy thanks to this place

I took my daughter's dog in today for a toenail growing into his pad. The staff was absolutely wonderful! So caring and really good with our Sébastien. They made him feel less nervous. The bill was pretty easy on our pocketbook too! I definitely recommend!

Awesome place with awesome staff!..... As you can see she was pooped out from her visit! But moxie has always enjoyed the staff and they treat our pets as their own.... Moxie had eat infection and needed her shots updated!... She says thank you Indy paws

My visit to indy paws was AMAZING. Dr.Wiley was friendly and listened to my needs and wants for my cat. She delivered 1000%. I trust Dr.Wiley as a person and as a veterinarian. I'm super excited to continue to have Dr.Wiley continue my cats care.

Absolutely love this vet clinic! Make your appointment online, anytime. The doctor was very supportive and helpful, gave us options and prices. We were in and out without issue everytime. And they are never super crowded which is so helpful.

Dr. Richardson and the staff were very caring, communicative and professional. I was very comfortable with all aspects of the intake, surgery and post op. I’ve been bringing my dog, Russell, here for several years and would highly recommend.

Best place ever. I had moved away for a while but recently moved back into the neighborhood and started taking my dog Malo there again and I'm so glad that he's going back there. They are so great with my dog. And the employees are awesome.

I have taken my fur baby to Indy Paws for years. They saved Jojo's life when she developed a fungal infection. The only vet we have visited since I got her as a baby. Would recommend them to anyone needing a good vet.

If you love your pet and live anywhere near Indy you should consider bringing them here for any of their medical needs. The staff and doctors are so awesome and so patient. Very clean facility. Highly recommend them

These folks are great! They took our dog right in and were so good to him! (He had an ear hematoma) Affordable and friendly. We'll definitely be bringing our other pets in to see them.
