So sad but true… I was asked to do a Google review for Budget Blacktown. This won’t be pretty. Considering closing company dealings with them after a couple of years. My drivers and myself have experienced a huge down swing in efficiency and customer service in the last few months. To the point of anger and frustration over blown schedules. Mostly because of a Duty Manager called Milly. She is hell bent on proving she is right all the time and it takes up to half an hour to pick up trucks and utes and vans from her. The only way to prove you are constantly right is to get a satisfied customer in a vehicle and out of there in good time. We used to have a cat named Milly the poor old girl died years ago after a full and happy life but pretty sure she would have done a better job than Milly at Budget Blacktown. FURTHER… Just received an arrogant basically threatening phone call from the alleged General Manager asking me to take my Google review down and not refer to people as animals. He just copped an abusive mouthful in return for his threats. Learn to read Baby Bird! Poor Milly the problem is obviously systemic. Please note: No cats or birds were harmed in the writing of this review.

Stay away! Rented a car for 22$/day. Purchased additional insurance to lower excess to 300$. The additional insurance is 25$ PER DAY. On the day of return, I called the shop that I would be there at 6pm on the clock, asking if it was ok. They stated they will wait 10 minutes. I was there at 5.59pm with my friend. Shop is shut. No answer to the phone, gate are locked. I left the car outside the gate, in perfect condition. In the morning I am told there are 2 bumps on the roof. Without further conversations around the quote to fix, they proceed to take 1250$ out of my credit card. Their customer support service, especially at this location, have been extremely rude, lying multiple times on the terms of the contract. Please rent from a better service if you can. If you really have to use this place, protect yourself with many pictures because they will try to scam you, as heard from many other sources.

Ripoff! Beware! Just be very careful with these people as they will charge you for everything you haven't done! I hired a car from them for a couple of weeks and on return we noticed a very small dent left probably from a shopping trolley or something similar. They charged me close to $800 for that and told me if the damage can be repaired for less than that we will refund you the money. I showed the damage to a couple of smash repairers and they told me they can repair the dent with about $200, however after two months following the return of the car and after my several calls and emails chasing them to assess the repair costs they came back to me with an assessment of guess how much?! That's right, Exactly how much they charged me in the first place (nearly $800)! Just try to stay away from them as they will rip you off!

I have made previous bookings from here and majority of the time it has been fantastic. I have called again to make a 12 Seater booking and representative Rihanna almost sounded like she did not want to be at work today. Her tone & delivery needs improvement, when advise if there is a 8 Seater available? I was referred to call the reservations line and their number could be found online. When searing online it only gives a 1800 number that doesn't call out. Customer service isn't how it use to be when people would try their best to make a sale & ensure the business continues to strive. These days people are just turning up to work for the sake of it. Please keep Blair on answering phone calls. She seems to be the only one passionate about her job. Thanks

Used to be awesome. Probably not going back. New duty manager Millie is wrecking the place. 2 of my drivers don’t want to pick up from there when she is on shift. It took ages to pick up from here last 2 times and had to go through everything again even though my company has previously spent about $10-15,000 here in the last year or two. Not big but surely enough to be considered a regular customer. Half an hour wait is unacceptable for something that all the forms and corporate accounts and things are supposed to make quicker. Twice you killed our company deadline lately before our day had begun. Other local companies have pointed me to other options as they are experiencing similar things at Budget Blacktown of late.

I arrived early to collect the 12 Seater Van on the queens funeral day (and they were open), they walked over the van features, gave me the ins and outs of what's covered under insurance and what's not, allowed me to take photos and upload them myself, even though their photos were great quality, I still did this. The Van was relatively new, less than 100k km on the clock and drove like new. Having never driven something this size, I was worried, but it's such a simple vehicle to drive. Thanks to everyone at Budget Blacktown for such a great experience and being so cost effective compared to other companies out there. If I ever need another vehicle, I will be sure to use your services again.

We have got a vehicle on rent from this place numerous times over the years. I had rented every kind of vehicle from here and the condition of all of them was good and well maintained. The staff over the years have kept on changing but all of them who have served me were highly professional and customer service oriented. Location wise it's close to me, rental fees wise it's very reasonable compared to other rentals and above all the process is hassle free and quick here. It is good for people who are not a part of any corporate group or any loyalty members etc. Single time users like me find it very easy and competitive to rent a vehicle from here. Pls keep up the good services.

Be warned. The Manager of this establishment is Google Review savvy. This adverse review, not the only one, will evoke a savage response to remove the one star rating and replace it with a Five Star review. The offer of a discounted car over the weekend is no enticement to LIE. Let the truth shine through the Corporate marketing lies. Should a Staff Member screw up, then that is no good. Finding previous clients confidential documents in our hire car. Excellent. Budget should have cleaned the Vehicle fully and properly so that we never had these Commercial in Confidence documents. Fortunately, we respect your former renters privacy and returned the documents at our cost.

Worst customer service ever! They charge hidden fees as ‘pending’ amounts which they do not give back!! First they said it’s just a pending amount which will be back into account in a few days, then we went & confronted them about it, in after a week or soo they say they explained what all the hidden charges are for which was a complete lie!!! No one explained anything!!!! Keep the money just hope you treat your future customers with more respect and admit if you have made a mistake instead of been soo adamant your right!!!!! Lady at counters very rude with attitude!!!!!!! Definitely will not recommend!!!!!!!!! AVOID IF YOU CAN

This company provided us with the worst customer service possible. I was on a family trip and while coming back, our bus broke down in the middle of the road. Instead of fixing it or sending another bus, they kept us waiting in the hope that they will provide us with accommodations. We waited until 11pm for 5 hours on the side of a road with little kids. Since this company had no concern for our safety and they weren't assisting us in any way, we had to make our own arrangements to spend the night in a safe place. Never expected such ignorance and inhumanity from a company like this. I would never recommend it.

I hired a car to go from Sydney to Queensland and after I returned the car BUDGET randomly stole $200 out of my account for NO REASON. I rang them and queried them on the matter and they just said it was a "glitch and it was not supposed to happen" and did not offer me a reason behind it. I was very disappointed and would not recommend Budget to anyone I know. I found, given I was a very respectful customer, the whole experience left me feeling quite disillusioned as Budget treated me with contempt after asking them for MY money back. Do NOT use budget unless you like people STEALING your money for no reason.

Staff are inefficient. Arrogant supervispr girl working at counter. She did not offer to help the other trainee guy who took 20 minutes to get the paperwork printed. Next day he charged my cc for Insurer authorised extension. When I enquired about the charge no apology for the mustake but simply told me to call NRMA.After clarifying it came to the trainee person 's fault. I would say it is not his fault instead the orher girl 's as his manager shoud monitor his transactions and assist him. Not sure if she is happy to work there . No respect for customers whatsoever. Terrible .....

Worst customer service. Our car broke down and budget Mechanic shah kept us on hold and stuffing us around for 5hrs. Later on their fleet controller Rashmi kept promising us with overnight accommodation with no result till 11.30pm.we ended up booking motel at our own cost as they were neither sending mechanic not ready to pay for accommodation. We were stranded on side of the road with no assistance with kids and elderly for 5 hrs.not only we were physically and mentally tired and exhausted, we were financially out of pocket. I would not be recommending and never be using Budget!

Very busy, but the service was good and pretty quick. The car I received wasn't washed, so I had to wash it before taking it to work. It is best to book well in advance if you want a particular car, I was after a smaller car and had to go with something that cost more than I wanted to pay. Had to take the car as there was NO OTHER CARS AVAILABLE there or at the other 6 places I called. I think the blacktown office caters more toward commercial vehicles rental. EDIT: I should have added that I am a wee bit of a clean freak so the dirt was probably only visible to me LOL.

A terrible service! I was returning home from a family trip as our bus broke down in the middle of nowhere. We decided to get help from the company, hoping they could provide us help and accomodations for the while but instead they kept us on hold for 6 hours. We had little kids along with us who were starving and crying, few even got injured due to the wait in the darkness. Elderly had to cancel jobs and were tired from being consistently ignored by the company. At the end we made our own arrangements during midnight and they made no difference to our experience.

Booking over phone was easy however their was no confirmation and when I went to pick up a moving van they informed me I had one day booked not two. I needed the van for two and was unable to return it in one. The team got in touch with me the same day to confirm I would be returning it as per their booking to which I declined and said I needed two full days. They called me back again saying we have pushed it back to midday rather then 7am. Wasn’t sure what wasn’t clear about two full days. A booking confirmation could have avoided the whole situation.

We have been hiring vans from them for last couple of years for our business. They have been very helpful and professional in their approach. They have got a great team which is managed professionally by Sharon. Two girls Rashmi and Surekha are really great with customer service. We requested last minute bookings so many times and they managed vehicles for us every single time and never disappointed us. Like to thank Dave as well who has been really great with providing vehicles in excellent condition every time. Highly recommend them.

Really rude staff, this one lady that was serving us was so rude and disrespectful, she scoffed when we asked questions and didn’t hold anything back. Her behaviour was not up to business standards Have called up to make a complaint but I doubt they’ll do anything. The type of service we received from this lady was absolutely shocking I’m not one to make complaints or even write reviews but even though we were desperate to hire a van we went somewhere els because of how disgusting her behaviour and attitude was.

Rather disappointing that Avis (Reginald ANSETT owned) took over his American speaking son's Budget Rentals (originally owned by Bob ANSETT). Due to the Monopolistic Collusion, an Avis incident has black listed me for LIFE. Because it's archived on a database, and well over 30 years, AVIS CAN NOT REMOVE the reported incident which was due to Mascot Airport Staff entering the wrong and delayed return time. To which Avis proceeded to charge me an extra day's rental. Don't trust AVIS Don't trust BUDGET

I've had a long term rental and had nothing but issues from day one .. The staff and manager's are Extremely Incompetent, Arrogant and downright RUDE. They will debit extra amount's on day's that it's not due to be taken, will make up ridiculous excuses and charge's that don't exist. Do yourselves a favour and go ELSEWHERE

EDITED 3 stars only because of how long it took to get the deposit back. 13 business days is too long to be holding money from people, especially people who are struggling financially. EDIT BELOW After posting this review the owner of the business called to offer his sincere apologies, said his team were looking at implementing change to rectify the deposit refund process and a voucher for my next rental. So I have to hand it to them for reaching out. Was very much appreciated.

Last year i have hire a car for 3 days. I returned the car timely. But after 5 days i saw they didn’t refund my deposits. I called them and they said you have extended for more three days. I surprised! What is this? To fix this issue I called them more than 100 times. I suggest them to check cctv. Finally i got my deposit back but they charged 25% and returned my deposit 75% only. Really really bad experience with this company after that i never hire a car from here.

Worst customer service ever!!! Never trust a word 'Budget Car and Truck Rental' says. Our bus broke down while returning to our home. We were approximately 4 hours from our place. We rang up 'Budget Car and Truck Rental' and they showed no support but kept showing their ignorance. We were wondering on streets for 6 hours with little kids. We were unable to go to our work due to their poor customer service. One great advice; NEVER USE 'Budget Car and Truck Rental'

A great place to hire trucks from. We hire regularly from them from 4.5 tonne to 8T both pantecs and tautliners, with all trucks clean and tidy. Customer service is excellent, as we hire trucks and cars from them Australia wide, and they have always looked after us with price and vehicle upgrades. A simple email for a truck or car at any Budget location, and they book it, get us a great deal and email back a confirmation. That's service the old fashioned way.

Disappointed. Firstly, don't allow people to make a reservation for a car that is not available. Wasted my time going in to sign paperwork for a non-existent car - Not everyone will be happy with a free upgrade for a car they're not comfortable driving. If it's not available, tell me when you call to confirm. Also, call me to confirm in the morning and not at 4pm so I can make other arrangements if you can't provide me with a suitable vehicle.

Worst people ever to hire a vehicle. They charge you 4$ admin fees even if you use 1$ of toll road. They charge you access for accidents even if it’s not your fault. Staff has no knowledge about anything. I hired a van for 6 months and they send me a toll of more than 1000$. I had an accident and it was clearly not my fault but they still charged me access and took money out of my account without even asking me. Worst experience.

First time and last time using Budget I am visiting Australia and we are hired a bus with other family and friends for sightseeing to Dubbo. Our budget hired bus broke down . We were on phone with the said customer support for 5 hrs. This is my worst experience ever! We were on side of road without food and shelter ! Budget has officially spoiled my Australia trip.

They argued that vehicles must be returned with marker position at "more than" full, so when I returned the rental vehicle "at full" they charged me almost $5 per litre for fuel. What a rip off despite returning the vehicle in 4 hours but paying for 1 full day rental charge. Never going back to these guys unless they refund me the excess fuel charge of almost $50.

DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE. I was leased a Heavy Rigid truck and was stopped by RMS and was given a defect warning notice. Nothing major just that the cargo area bolts were rusted and could fail meaning the whole load would be lost. When I returned the truck too afraid to reload it again I was not given a refund, a credit or even an apology.

They are a rip, don’t tell you that there will be costs coming out after paid for all. Don’t go here!

Came to return a truck and they told me to wait but then completely forgot about me and were staring at me like I'm the idiot. Just realised that they charged me for an extra 108 kms. Always booked from Westmead and never had an issue. Never booking from blacktown again

they were open till 6:30 on weekdays, which is good ... however, they don't stock small cars and so, it's better to book a small car online before you collect it, rather than walking in and paying higher for a better car, which you probably didn't want!

Show up to hire a truck, apparently on an NZ license you need extra ID. Never had an issue with other rental companies in the 2 yrs I've been here. Won't be coming back or recommending to anyone. Went to thrifty, no issues and cheaper rates as well.

Vehicles are really good but the price you pay for them is around $400 more then other companies on a 6 day hire of same vehicle.
