Zero stars for this business! Never again will I deal with this franchise or Budget, Australia. I booked a car (in store) on the 10th of November 2018 for a period of one week starting on the 22nd of December 2018 . At the time of booking they were happy to oblige and even said that they have four of the type of vehicles I wanted available. The booking was made and a confirmation receipt printed and provided. The manager (Peter) called me today (12 December), just over a week before I collect my car and notifies me that the car is unavailable and offers me an "upgrade" which is for a lesser vehicle (a 12 seat mini bus) than the one I booked. If I wanted a mini bus I would have booked it from the very start. I am surprised a business such as this survives at all. Very bad/shocking customer service and has left me totally disgusted with Budget, Australia as well. My family holiday plans for the Christmas period have been destroyed due to the unprofessional conduct of Budget, Ferntree Gully and Budget Australia. Do not step into or call this business. There are many other car hire businesses that run a professional service nearby. Go straight to them. The Franchisee apparently owns 12 stores (not at all impressive - BUDGET - AUSTRALIA). I will list all of them once I find out which ones they are. I know that the DANDENONG branch is owned by the same franchisee as well. WARNING - STAY AWAY!!! Worst experience in 25 years of hiring cars all around the world. BOYCOTT BUDGET - Give your money to someone who deserves it! You will even get a better price elsewhere!

Peter , you should be ashamed of your customer service, when you are working for a big brand as Budget, at least have the work ethics mate. The car we had booked you gave it someone else and then you are talking on the phone for minutes , when you know there is a customer in the shop. This is the reason why Businesses like yourself fail , poor customer service skills and then your Racist remarks on top, mate just to let you know , if its not our ancestral land , neither is it yours. So mind it when you are rude next time and all you folks trust me there are far better places then these rude dictators , who only know how to spoil the brand name of a reputed company.

Had fanastic customer service & experience from Jim & Chris when I hired a moving truck. My truck had arrived almost an hour late from a previous customer and Jim offered a very generous solution to my incovenience and made sure I was well compensated for the delay. Chris was very friendly and helpful with the briefing before I took the truck out. Very happy customer and will definitely use them again in the future!!

Absolutely horrid experience renting from these people and the worst customer service I’ve EVER experienced! If I had behaved the same way in my job, I’d be sacked! Hired various vehicles from Budget over the years and always kept going back due to being made felt like a valued customer….won’t be returning ever! If you’re not good at customer service and/ or don’t possess the relevant skills, leave your job NOW!!!

Got a quote for hire a truck for 7 days from Budget Ferntree Gully. They did call me for price but they did not send me any email. I went there today, pretty much the guy behind the register told me I am a layer!!! So unprofessional and rude. Never go back again and don't recommend to anyone. I got much better deal from Thrifty and they are so professional.

Booked a car online, the morning of it was delayed - not a huge deal. When I arrived the lady at the counter had a massive attitude, was incredibly rude. Chris? I think, the gentleman who showed me the car outside was lovely but don't expect to be treated respectfully or kindly by the customer service attendant at the counter

Rented several cars over the years from FTG and what makes me keep coming back is the outstanding customer service and clean cars that give you the brand new showroom car feel. If they don't have a large 8 seater car on hand they will go out of their way to find you one from another site. Highly recommend …

Booked a X TRAIL car for 2 days. Said they had no cars and gave me a duel cab Isuzu. It was a tradie truck. When I returned it on Sunday there where a lot of cars sitting in the lot . Was a regular customer but now, WILL NEVER RENT A CAR FROM THIS BUSINESS EVER AGAIN. YOU HAVE LOST A CUSTOMER.

I've hired cars, vans and trucks from FTG Budget. Always efficient, ready, and transparent. Never an issue picking up, or dropping off. Most recently needed them to validate a payment for a rental in Queensland, and they were most obliging. These guys are Recommended.

Fantastic customer service from start to end, every person I dealt with seemed genuine, friendly and very helpful which made the process easy. Was also great having a little truck with an easy to use hydraulic tailgate lift - Will definitely use them again.

Exceptional customer service from Daryl and the guys. Don't book with the Budget website, go direct to these guys for better service and often a better price. The truck I hired was clean and very new. I'll be coming back next time I'm moving house.

Hired trucks for a period of two months spasmodically and found the service fantastic, always had a vehicle ready to go for me and no hassle when I gave short notice to extend my hire. The Boys from the Gully are a credit to the company .

Terrible try to RIP you off offer prices double or more what is advertised online. Absolutely terrible customer service. Think because they are a small franchise they can get away with doing whatever they want. Avoid at all cost.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I drove the 1 ton van for 92 km but had to put 21.5 litres of diesel. A bit excessive. Got a call today and the issue has been resolved by the budget team. Very good customer service.
