Normally wonderful dealing with the staff there except for today. Our first time dealing with Jason/Justin. Can’t remember his name. So this is what happened we needed the truck for an extra day ( Yesterday) and was told it was $120:60 So money was transferred into the account it was going to be paid from but for some reason it kept declining on budget rentals side. They tried calling me but I was out of service range due to the fact I was out country side ( Bum F nowhere)and only got there messages that were left for me on the answer machine when we got back to civilisation. Today I got a call back from the bank saying that they were having technical errors and apologised for the inconvenience. Well I tried to explain this to Jason/Justin but he wouldn’t even hear a word of it, he was rude and totally confronting and some what hostile. As a result we decided to leave and not put up with his rude behaviour or his bad and hostile attitude. The rest of the guys are great but because of this experience we don’t plan on going back there and will be warning some of my family members who also go there to go elsewhere

In general, as customers we're quick to criticize when something goes wrong, but positive feedback is rare as a 'good job' is always expected. I have used Budget rental services several times, and always found it an easy and pleasurable rental process. On this occasion I would like to commend JUSTIN on an absolute customer focused and proficient service. I was in a somewhat hurry and there had been customers walking in at a steady pace, however Justin had the 'tact' to keep the customer queries responded to whilst finalising my rental. All was done amazingly quick and tedious details explained without missing a beat. Anticipating a long wait, I was pleasantly surprised how Justin handled everything and I was out of the office with my rental, within 20min. Justin's efficiency and professionalism is outstanding and he is an asset to the 'Budget Rentals' team. I have and will continue to utilise Budget's services due to the efforts of people like Justin. Never use these guys again.. When using a credit or a debit card, they secure the amount owing to them and debit the amount they need and then release your money when it suits them.. so in affect you have been charged double the amount until they release your funds within 3-7 business days. absolutely disgusting the way they handle their customers and Robert o'niell who is the branch manager has the nerve to say it happens to all there customers and yet still does not fix the problem..After all I had to fight like a mad man to get my funds released by my bank who stood up as soon as I asked to put pen to paper declaring that (my bank) have not received any faxed paperwork from budget, which in turn would let me charge budget for damages, interest and extra expenses..so finally my bank released my funds after the third day on a Friday which took 2mins after speaking to the bank supervisor.. complete nightmare especially when you do not earn much..

I go here all the time and there is a reason why i go here on a regular basis or whenever we needed a ute or a truck: 1) Very Affordable 2) Friendly and great customer service from the guys, 3) Easy and fast, i can call them last minute for a ute or truck, if they don't have one in stock they always go out of their way to ensure that there is one available, unless they're actually fully booked. I referred my families and friends there and they get exactly the same service from these guys, i would strongly recommend Budget Car & Truck rental in Sunshine. Continue with the great service guys you are all doing an awesome job especially to Justin, very great customer service mate.

Don't use them. Not friendly, not customer oriented business. Said to me I can't give you a car because of you are asking lots of questions while I'm renting with budget Australia over 5 years most regularly. This behavior put me in a situation not to choose budget anymore. Small stone chip on the car will be only cost me 300 dollars to change the whole panel on side but they charged me 1500 as insurance nearly 6 months ago and still they using the same car with the same chip on it when my friend rented recently. Friendly advice is don't rent with these people anymore. Very rude and racist staffs are on duty...

Can’t rate these guys highly enough, after a rough few days with delayed flights and another rental company insisting on a utility bill over all other valid forms of ID in case I chose to be a criminal and steal the car.. the stress levels were high! But making the decision to go through this company was absolutely the best such a simple transaction on top of us being late for the pick up and them wanting to go home the customer service was exceptional and couldn’t faulted if you had any reservations about using this company don’t!! They’re a 10/10 team

Very disappointed - I booked a car for 12pm pick up today Saturday, with the booking form not advising that they close at 12. We arrived to find the shop closed and what looks like the car I had chosen sitting in the driveway. Obviously they knew about my booking. Courtesy would have been to call the customer to ensure they knew of the closing time. They had my mobile number and email address - either would have sufficed. Now my plans are ruined and I had to rush around trying to find another car.

It was amazingly stupid. I asked the person on call if I can take this car to a driving test since my car does not meet Vic road criteria for conversion of international license. I got a yes for the answer however when I reached center after 1 hours and changing 3 different buses- person asked me same question and refused to lend a car to me. He said his car is not verified for drive test even though Nissan Micra which I have booked certainly is. Such a watage of time and money.

Absolutely horrible, do not use, don't waste your time. Booked a car only to find out they closed 10 minutes earlier than advertised and the guy said I was out of luck and to come back the next day. Very rude. Why take a booking at all if you're going to be closed? Totally misleading, not in even in Sunshine as they claim. You're in Ardeer, quit kidding yourselves. Ruined all our plans for the day. I'll definitely be going to a more reliable rental company next time.

Omg, their service saved me a lot of money. If you are moving house I d recommend to hire a truck, it would be much cheaper. Also, the staff is so accomodating and humble always going an extra mile to service their customer. I forgot the name of the staff member, he gave me an extra 100km along with reducing an excess amount. Please make sure you be there 30 mins before their closing time else you ll face the music ykwim :D

Their small trucks are comfortable to drive. They allowed me to bring the truck in 1 hour late without extra charge. Service was quick and was cheaper than it's competitors in every aspect. Although didn't realise the fuel tank wasn't exactly full when I got the truck until i refilled it and the the gauge went over the full mark. Be sure not to give back more fuel than how much was in the vehicle when you got it.

I have been using Budget for many years. I last used them three weeks ago and I had the pleasure of being looked after by Ashley. He was friendly, helpful and pretty funny, to boot. He even let us borrow a pallet jack for no cost. My husband also appreciated Ashley... my husband couldn’t remember my birthdate and before I could rip into him Ashley quickly checked our forms and whispered my birthdate to him :D

Gavin/Kevin went above and beyond our expectations, thank you so much for your accomodating and friendly nature. You made the rental process so easy for us. Cheapest you'll find at first after I dropped the vehicle off is when they hit ya with additional costs mine went from $99 to just under $200 real quick and the invoice you get is intentionally confusing as with the fine print in the terms and conditions in my opinion

Really poor experience, fraudulently took more than $300 out a week after we returned the truck and then tried to blame our bank. Staff act like they don't really want to be there and are rude. Will not be using Budget again.

Very cheap service, they don't even have manners how to talk to someone. We booked an XL Truck with them but after taking the payment they say no on the face of our team, the person use bad language. Never use them!!

I was quoted a price on the phone and was not expecting hidden costs when I picked up the moving truck. All costs should be provided when booking is made so there is no surprises. It's called full disclosure .

Justin provided an easy and friendly service. Very accomodating when i was running slightly behind time for pick up. Vehicle was in good condition and functions were clearly explained.

First impressions with them are deceptive. Beyond that, these guys have NO CREDIBILITY and NO TRANSPARENCY! As a customer, STAY AWAY FROM THEM if you can, I learnt, you don't need to.

They scare you with possible problems so you take up excess cover that will increase your cost to rent. And 100 km range is very lousy as again your out of pocket expenses increase
