    "This location on San Jose is awful the guy in there is very rude and not so customer friendly he has no respect for your concern I called several times whn I finally talk him he put me on hold and never came back to the phone I rented twice from here back to back and both times I was not happy he made to where I had switch my rental location because he wanted to be a jerk about my card the 2nd time when I explain to him I wasn’t aware of the prepaid acct and was still able to pay the 250 deposit he told me my card declined when I just use it 5 mins before walk-in the place also at another budget with no problems He was giving me numbers to call that he knew wasn’t going help he said to me oh well looks like they can’t help u either I ws calling my bank back to back when they kept telling me is nothing wrong with my card I will not recommend this location if you are black he maybe racist I ended up walking up San Jose very upsetting"

Negligence and Terrible Customer Service. I experienced severe negligence and terrible customer service. I picked up my car from the Budget Mandarin Square location (11570 San Jose Blvd - Ste 5, JACKSONVILLE, FL 32223 US). When we went to leave, we saw the low tire pressure light was on on the dashboard. My husband went back in and let the person working at Budget know this. The man told us to not worry about it and ignore it because the car had been inspected the day before. Later that day, when we went to leave town for our trip, a friend saw that the rental’s right rear tire had gone completely flat and stopped us from pulling away. Upon inspection, we could not drive the car and called emergency roadside service. They put a spare tire on it and we delayed our trip until the next morning. The next day I went back and told the Budget staff member what had happened (same man who had been working the day before). I got a new car and he said, "Hope you have better luck with this one." I am so dismayed over the fact that we tried to tell him something was wrong with the tire pressure -- per the car's dashboard -- and he told us to ignore it. If not for a friend noticing the flat tire, we would have gotten on the freeway. This is terrible negligence and could have ended badly if we had driven on it. I called customer service yesterday. On the call, and throughout this experience, I received a lack of care or customer service. I would not rent from Budget.

A serious head on collision with a driver who ran a red light led me to make a last minute reservation for a rental vehicle. Budget was .3 miles from the accident so i went on line and reserved a car for a week. Budget was more than happy to charge me extra for picking it up an hour early. I was able to secure transportation a day later so I had no further use for the vehicle so I returned it less than 24 hours later - trash bags in tow with what was left from my vehicle and personal belongings as I was able to make it that day to the tow lot. Budget staff then informed me that they would be happy to take the vehicle and rent it to the next customer BUT that unfortunately they will NOT refund me any of the “prepaid” reservation because it was policy and I SHOULD know to read the fine print. I called budget customer service and they stated that the budget staff SHOULD have advised me on this. So as of now I used a vehicle for 24 hours and budget will shamelessly take $400+ because “it’s policy” - i have contacted American Express about this unfair practice and they will be looking into it. In the meantime buyer beware .

Don't rent from this location. Got a roach infested Ford escape from here. Couldn't return it before I had to leave for my trip. Then when I came back from my cruise and returned a vehicle from port Canaveral. This San Jose Blvd location messed up again. The clerk Moe was the only there and was dealing with another customer, when he saw me he's asked what I wanted , I said I was there to return ,he asked if the car was full I said yes. He said great because he wanted to rent it to the customer he was dealing with. He asked my name took the keys and said all was good. Forward almost two weeks I get a call asking when I would return the car. I was in shock. I proceeded to let the two know the car was returned the same day I rented it. Now today I see a 203 dollar charge on my card with budget claiming the car was returned with half tank of gas. Which was totally false. When we got to the bottom of the story . My return was never correctly logged , and they rented the car out and charged me for that person's rental Poor incompetent service. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE.

This is a review for the location at 11570 San Jose Blvd Ste 5, Jacksonville, FL 32223. I reserved a vehicle for 4 days and, as luck would have it, I didn't need it b/c my own car was fixed in time. But, while reserving the Budget vehicle, I eventually spoke with Mo at this location by phone. What a professional! He was courteous, willing to help me find any available discounts, was looking into my bringing the car back the morning after it was due at no additional cost (mainly because of my travel itinerary) , and when I had to cancel it, he offered to make sure it was done properly on his end. I initially reserved it via the 800 reservation system and had to speak with two different people to get it right and get my questions answered. They then told me to just call the location of the reservation to get the rest of my questions answered. That's when I spoke to Mo. Like I said, the guy is a true professional and I will definitely be back next time to work with him for my next rental. Give this guy a chance. Thx very much Mo! G.

Terrible, is the only word I have. We had a reservation set at 6pm. I understand they close at 6pm, but that was the only reservation time we were able to get. We get there at 6:02 because there was a crash and we were stuck in traffic. The door was locked when we arrived 2 minutes late, and as we looked inside the door there was a blonde lady that drove by us in her car. As she did, she rolled down her window and told us they were closed and she wasn’t coming back in to help us. We proceeded to tell her we had a reservation at 6 and were leaving town before they opened the next morning. She told us, “it doesn’t matter, we are closed’” and drove off TO PARK HER CAR AND GO BACK INSIDE. When she went back in she locked the door behind her RIGHT IN FRONT OF US and quickly ran off. It was 6:05 at this point. If employees are going to leave exactly at close then why in the world make a reservation available at that time?!? Terrible

Set up a reservation through Expedia. I then called Budget to make sure I had everything I needed to pick up , I was told I need a valid license and a credit OR debit card . I Was not told about a credit check. I also was not told that if you didn’t pass the credit check you HAD to have a MAJOR CREDIT CARD to pay. I understand as a business, taking precautions , but I assumed that was a main reason for the $300 deposit they charge . I could have saved ALOT of time had they told me all this extra info on the phone when I asked what I needed to ensure my rental went smoothly. GARBAGE . Glad Enterprise hooked me up though :)

I called every toyota dealership in Florida for the past 5 months looking for the sienna. Out of all the dealership I called this one was the most honest and answered all of my questions. Tyler Johnson was the salesman I worked with. He kept me informed of the inventory and wasn't annoyed when I kept calling. The 25th Anniversary Sienna was my top choice and Tyler provided. He made me feel welcomed and didn't bs me on the price or the feature of the Vehicle. Although he is a Packers Fan he is a great guy. I will definitely recommend him to others.

I made a reservation for the budget side of this business online. I'd just left returning a previous rental to another local car rental company because the prices were much higher and the customer service was terrible . I read through reviews and everyone mentioned how great Moe was at this location. When I got to budget Moe helped me right away and he was knowledgeable and extremely courteous. Moe has great customer service skills. Because of Moe, if I ever need another rental car I will come back to budget at this location.

Best car rental experience ever. Moe and Christine helped us professionally and quickly, comprehensively explaining everything we needed to know, without prompting. We had to exchange our SUV rental due to progressing tire pressure loss and this was at a different location than where we rented. No problem! They quickly checked availabilities, then the paperwork was done in seconds and the replacement car available instantaneously. Thank you, Moe and Christine!

I rented a car through the Mandarin Square location in Jacksonville . I prepaid for the vehicle. The representative called to tell me that they had no cars and they might have a car before closing. The person couldn’t have been more rude and unprofessional. Things happen but due to the unprofessional behavior I won’t be using Budget again there are a lot of competitors in this area that are much more professional.

Extremely prejudice, the guys looked at me as I was reading the contract and snatched the paper out of my hand and said " I don't feel comfortable renting to you" no reason or anything. Very rude and I wouldn't recommend this company or at least this location (This event was 7 months ago but the review was posted on the wrong location, hopefully the staff has improved to something of more human decency since then)

The guy who’s name is MO, claiming he’s the owner of that branch was rude and liar. He will give you a lower grade car on purpose and will charge you extra for gas even though you return it full. Short guy with beard and bad attitude. Insist to inspect the vehicle with him before and after you return the car, he will do every trick to charge you extra. Ask for final receipt before you leave that office.

Horrific. I rented a Chevy equinox to be picked up at the airport at 7pm. First wait in line for 20 minutes to be told They gave my car away. So they have a smaller car but won’t refund me anything. And then you have to wait outside with this many people for the cars to come from 3 miles away. Horrible planning! I’ll have to update later how long this cluster is going to take……

Whoever the gentleman was that was on the clock on 6/17 at 3:50pm was not helpful at all. I asked him to make sure my fast break was applied to my reservation & he says for me to call customer service to apply it. Lack of customer service. I get there & he’s outside smoking. He hardly held the door open for me when we were walking in. If I can help it, I’ll never return.

This location has excellent customer service and seeks to please. Moe is an excellent attendant and wants to ensure you have a "First Rate" rental experience. We have become to use this Budget as our primary rental location due to the highest level of customer service received - unlike any other agency that I've used in 20+ years.

I have rented several cars from this location. The service was fast. In and out in under 20 minutes with reservation. This is not a busy location but my last time was more than frustrating because I was not able to pick up my reserved car using the same credit information.

Moe at the San Jose location is the best. Super helpful and was able to get me back on the road fast! He did a throughout walk through with the car and even checked the oil! Made sure I knew all my options in case I needed to have the car longer ! Thanks again Moe

This location is under new management. I rented mini van for a day also I have longer term rental coming up. My experience is very good compare to older management. I totally agree older management was very bad, I would go out of my way
