I have been parking at this pub for nearly a decade to go across the street to a fast food shop, Americano and eating there. These two eshtablishments come under the same ownership. I, mostly used to let the people at the bar know that I'm going to the owners other place Americano for a few minutes quick and they would say it's ok. I moved away from London a few years ago but kept the same tradition going and every time I drove to London on my way back I would always stop there and pop over the road to get me a couple biryanis, take 5 minutes to pack my food up and I'm gone. This one day i recieve a parking ticket for £100 with their address on it and I went to speak to one of the owners. During the time I parked up my car in these premises and the time I left, there were several parking spaces vacant within the car park. I've met the gentleman before through a friend. I explained him the situation and assured him that from now on if I park in the pub car park I will make sure to pay for a ticket and requested that he waived this parking charge off as gesture of goodwill and custom of over 10 years. I had driven in their car park for so long it had become second nature to just drive in and not be able to notice the signs. Anyhow, Instead he took me across the street to show me a little sign on the door regarding the parking. I was in disbelief and I said are you sure mate you'll lose a life long customer. He said I don't care. Now he has sent me a court letter with a charge of approximately £250 to park there that day. Quality of food is second to none, I won't take that away from them but service...
