MY WORST EXPERIENCE!! They sold me a car, and they assured me that they would register it with the DVLA on my behalf. Since I was a first-time buyer, I lacked much knowledge of the process, so I let them handle it. But they gave the incorrect flat number when they registered my car. Story doesn’t end here- Because of their mistake I didn’t receive a penalty letter to pay a yellow junction fine (£40). The letters about that fee were sent to the wrong flat multiple times and as they didn’t receive a response from me (because I never received the letters and also had no clue about it), a warrant was issued and Bailiff somehow found my vehicle and clamped it. I then had to pay a fee of £514 to get my car released!!!! After all this trouble I went to this dealer, but they failed to accept their mistake and was blaming DVLA for this situation. I expected them to help me out to get my money back which I paid for someone else’s error, They said they will write to DVLA but after few days they stopped taking my calls and I received zero help as a first time customer of them!!! I decided to give up on the money I paid and write this long story here, so that you are aware before you approach this CARELESS dealer who will not recognise you once you buy a car and leave their premises. Moral of the story: Always register your VEHICLE by yourself and NEVER leave it for a 3rd party. They don’t even deserve a star!

I bought a car from here on the 9th June, albeit it was a used Micra/March import car which had no service history so that was my first mistake and a costly one too! Since then I've found out per chance that it only had 3 wheel studs(VERY DANGEROUS) in the front drivers side tyre and it was not an easy fix as 2 of the the other wheel nuts had damage so all four studs and nuts had to be replaced! Then the front brakes were poor so had them replaced to find out that one of the coils was nearly touching the front tyre, could have blown whilst driving. This then revealed that the suspension coil springs on the front of this car do not match and an advisory has now been given to drive it as little as possible. As the mechanic says he has never seen anything like it and it is dangerous. It is a hodge podge of parts like some kind of mechano set. Although I asked the dealership if they would send off the V5C I did not receive one after 5 weeks and I ended up doing that myself. I have called and left a message and no one has called me back but I have now spoken to someone to let them know of the problems who was just said 'thank you for letting us know'. UPDATE since I wrote this review I indeed stopped pretty much driving the car unless absolutely necessary and it was scrapped in early September - glad to have got rid of it and not to have passed this dangerous vehicle onto somebody else!

friendly people , but very disappointed with the service provided . I bought a car with one year warranty as i was told. within a month after purchasing the car, I brought it back as the break was not responding probably ; this could cause serious accident. I left the car there for one week no body was updating on when to come and collect it back, no courtesy car was given to me, I had to travel to work outside London everyday by public transport which is very stressful. I then decided to call to find out what was happening with the car; and I was told to come and collect it back that everything has been fixed. After one week of collection the car started making noise I took it to the garage who told me the car belt was not working and needed to be replaced and the break pad of the driver side also. i then understood that nothing was actually done for the whole week that I drop the car to them. I call the company (car city)explaining to them that base on the one year warranty , I have spent more than £200 in less than 2 months and I request a refund. they simply ignored me and avoid picking my call again . they only care for their money and not for the customer. I will make sure I get all the money I spent back I have also changed the alternator. I have all the evidences in written form.

Arranged test drive of a vehicle. Turned up on the day to be told the car had been sold the day before yet 2 days on the advert still remains on auto trader. Has a very dodgy workshop right around the corner that seems to prefer hiding problems instead of actually fixing them. They will as per many reviews on here already, sell you a car with a MOT that their workshop have conveniently provided. If you're lucky enough to not have the car break down in the next few months or so you will take it for the next mot only to realise it's a death trap and highly illegal. Very common scam is to list a vehicle that is a good deal only to then come up with a story on the day about how that vehicle has just sold the day before and will immediately proceed to show you around their showroom filled with cat D vehicles. Do yourself a massive favour and avoid this place like the plague. Doesn't even deserve the 1 star.

Bought this car with 11 months MOT on, when I asked for for full MOT they told me no need. How daft was I!? A year later at the MOT I find out the car was sold to me with parts missing! Illegally tampered with DPF and illegally tampered with Cat. Expensive work at nearly a grand. Not only these problems. When I part exchanged my old car with them I received multiple, yes multiple, tickets for my old car. For parking illegally and even driving down one way streets the wrong way. Yes they did pay the fines when I contacted them but never straight away and it was just an unnecessary hassle. I thought I might get my money back for the car as bought on credit card but as I can’t prove that I haven’t illegally tampered with these things I have no chance. Feel totally ripped off!

One of the best customer focused establishment i have been. From the onset, my partner and I were made welcome, questions answered with smiles and technical knowledge/information provided. The vehicle that caught my partner's eye; Honda CR-V looked like new, cleaned valeted. No sales pressure but opportunity to discuss value, extras and option. Throught the test drive, sale registration, we were goven a first class treatment. The crown in the jewel, which demonstrated the ethos of Car Planet was the quality and efficiency of their after sales care - On getting home, lights were accidentally left on, battery drained, called Mohammed and in a flash he came over to help check and fix the battery. Thank you Mo and your team. Much appreciated.

Car planet were amazing in not only aiding me in buying a used car, but suggesting to the me the cars that they felt were the most suitable despite of cost. The used cars are all immaculate. I was assured by the fact that they all were MOT'd and serviced recently and all had a 3 month warranty. I was not only aided in setting up a finance for the car but car planet helped me in finding the cheapest insurance, setting up road tax etc. They were supportive throughout the process and even gave me several days to think about everything whilst they took the car off the market for me! The customer service all in all was unbelievable and having bought the car now, I am extremely happy having chosen car planet to purchase my used car off of.

My husband and I bought a car two weeks ago from this dealership. On picking the car up we noticed that the gearbox had a fault. The dealership arranged warranty which we went about using to find out the problem. The work came to a total of £1800.00 to which the warranty company agreed to pay £1000.00. So this left myself and my husband to pay £800.00. I contacted Car Planet and they agreed to pay half. In my opinion we bought the car and they didn't need to do that. I would recommend them as when you buy a used car from a dealership or a private sale, you don't know what you are getting or indeed a new car can have problems too. I found them trustworthy and helpful.

After searching everywhere and looking for a suitable car for over a year (yeah we’re very particular about the condition, mileage, MOT etc) we were genuinely lucky to have found Car Planet! Bought a car from Car Planet in July 2019. Immediately after buying the car there were two issues. One was excessive smoke being released from the car when turning on the ignition (image attached), the second was a passenger seat belt buckle was not working. Both issues the dealership looked at and repaired. Now we have a third issue and this is all within a 7 month period. This third issue I am disputing with the dealership as I simply do not trust the car I bought from them. This is all very disappointing as this is my first car.

Bought my car from carplanet yesterday, cant say I've experienced any problems with the car so far the owner was very patient with me and held on to the car for a week until i had arranged to pick it up. Car was clean and presentable on collection and he offered to MOT the car for me included in the price... only downfall would be that i noticed my wing indicator wasn't working when i left so surprised this wasn't picked up on the MOT and replaced or noted as advisory but Satisfied overall and would recommend to others :)

Purchased a BMW from them, Turned out to be the worst purchase ever. Had issues with automatic transmission but refused to take ownership of the issue. Would not recommend them at all, had to pay additional £1600 to get the car repaired. Do not ever agree to buy the warranty even if its given free as its not worth the paper its written on. the warranty company is called the motoring organisation who are absolute cowboys. I learned a very costly lesson, would not want anyone else to go through this.

We attended a number of car sales showroom’s to purchase our daughter’s first car. For a new driver and a first car we were of course very picky. Car Planet understood and as family people they did not hard sell. We were able to purchase a Vauxhall Corsa with good mileage. They made sure we were registered for the road tax on the day of collection. Included a AA breakdown for a certain period and have also given us an after sales call to make sure the car is satisfactory.

Confirmed a viewing for a Renault 7 seater, however on the journey to view it, he made a phonecall within the last 15 minutes of our journey to tell us the car is now gone and deposit has been made on it. Didn't offer any bank details nor did they make us aware of this until the very last minute, wasting our time on Christmas eve which could of been spent with our family. Bad communication overall and will not be buying a car off then in the future.

Bought black auto VW Polo about 3 months ago. Customer focussed and friendly family business. Found begining to end process very pleasant. I bought vehicle for the wife who was very pleased no problems to date. They provided a valet, 3 month warranty and all in all I will shop there again. Reasonable service but time management could do with some improvement. Extremely low offers on trade in cars aren't appreciated. Overall you get what you pay for and buying a used car is always a risk. Just make sure you fight for the right price and if you're not happy walk away. Stay away! Bought a car within first month had gear box issue. They will sell you a toy mate. It will fall apart as you drive. And complaint process is a joke. They all will make money out of you and you will lose at the end. So avoid headache and stay away!
