I will just sum this up by saying you will not find another facility in the area, the state and likely the country that will care for your pets at the highest level and with the most compassion possible. We are a family of rescues and with rescues come their history that now become your concern. Boo Boo is our 10yr old black lab mix who we adopted at 6 years old. We were referred to CARE from our vet when he began having excruciating pain in what we thought was his head. Here he met Dr. Fauber (Neurology) who recommended an MRI after X-rays determined something was happening on his neck, but it was unclear. We found he had a fully herniated disc in his neck. Surgery was scheduled for a couple days later and as a last ditch effort, Dr. Fauber sent us home with steroids to alleviate his pain in the interim. On the day of his surgery, after assessing him, Dr. Fauber determined, she believed the prednisone did it's job and alleviated the swelling enough to settle the hernia. No surgery! Boo found himself back at CARE 3 more times. Two surgeries for foreign object extractions (he's a lab... he eats literally anything) and most recently a growth removal on his 3rd eyelid that came back as malignant melanoma. Dr. Broadwater (Ophthalmology) got it all! Clean margins and our buddy is cancer free. Dakota is our 6yr old female black lab who is the most perfect dog you will ever know. We adopted Dakota at approximately 2.5yrs old and heartworm positive. After 2 failed attempts to cure her of heartworms through the shelter and a former vet of ours, our vet encouraged us to give it one more try. They were going to make sure she was treated thoroughly and treated with pain meds to alleviate the discomfort. Unfortunately, Dakota had a terrifying response to all the doses she received, leaving her in excruciating pain and her breathing was labored. When she became unsteady on her feet and one of her pupils had blown, we took her to CARE where she was treated in the ICU for 4 days. Despite many inconclusive tests when she was first admitted to understand why her breathing was labored and she had appeared to have had a stroke, Dr. Sayer "threw the book at her" and never gave up until she got to the bottom of her failing body. Pulmonary Embolisms had developed resulting in her stroke and labored breathing. Treatments began immediately. I visited her two times a day and was able to see the progress she made with each day. The relief I felt when they called to tell me she was ready to go home was a 100lb weight coming off my chest. In closing, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the care, attention, and compassion we received when I brought my aging cat, Charlie, to CARE. Dr. Lock and Dr. Flood treated Charlie over the course of 5-6 months. They patiently walked us through every and any path we could take to treat his digestive problems. The concern was it could have been cancer, but to determine this would have been very invasive for him. We opted for the less invasive treatment, which (as we were warned) did help him very much, but eventually it didn't. This was a sign it was in fact cancer. In January of 2020, Charlie's health was in such decline it would have been inhumane for us to put him through any further testing or treatments and we had to make the devastating decision to put him to sleep. Dr. Flood sat on the phone with me for more than a half hour walking me through her assessment of him, his condition and her medical advice. When we arrived to the clinic, they gave us our own room with Charlie and NEVER pressured us to move things along. They gave us all the space we needed to say our good-byes. Dr. Flood was the definition of compassionate. Needless to say, we have had plenty of experiences at CARE to have a good sense of the care your pet will receive. Six critical cases and countless visits and I have NEVER had a bad experience with the staff or doctors at CARE. There is no decision to make here, trust CARE with your pet.

To be clear I am leaving three stars because the staff was helpful and professional. (Edit #1 : Added a fourth star because they were kind enough to reach out for a follow-up after I left this review. I also want to be clear I have no issues with the staff. Sorry if I come off as too harsh) (I feel obligated to give an update to whom it may concern at CARE, Scooter the cat is fine and got the treatment he needed) Yesterday I brought my 5yo male cat Scooter in when he was showing symptoms of urinary distress or a blockage. After an exam the vet determined thee was indeed a blockage and that the bladder was unable to be expressed and recommended that he be catheterized right away. The cost to proceed with his treatment was $2500, up front as a "low-end deposit". I am a minor, I do not have that kind of money laying around. And I was given no option for a payment plan despite this treatment being critical and life-saving. (EDIT #2, there's no payment plans but they DO have credit options, so that's good news for regular people but again, I'm 17 so that wouldn't be helpful for me) I had no option but to take him home And seem like a cheap heartless ***hole and get a second opinion/quote first thing in the morning at his normal vet. So this morning I took Scooter to Brown Creek animal hospital as soon as they opened and after explaining the situation they took him back and gave him and x-ray and an exam. I would learn that Scooter did not in fact have a blockage, that the x-ray found no crystals or stones in his urinary tract, and the vet was able to express his bladder fine. I was given some antibiotics and after taking Scooter home he was able to pass urine twice within a few hours. I can admit, I may have mistaken the symptoms and jumped the gun a bit. I should've taken him to the regular vet, that's on me. And I understand CARE is just trying to look out for our pets, but this misdiagnosis has caused a lot of stress and wasted time and money. And I do not appreciate the model y'all have here that y'all are not willing to save my animals life if I cannot afford thousands of dollars up front. It really is sickening. I don't expect a charity but for f***'s sake it wouldn't hurt to offer a payment plan. It seems very profit-focused the way this hospital is set up. (EDIT #3 I may have been too harsh this was a really stressful situation. Point is I'm not asking for free treatment, I just don't want my buddy to die just because I don't have credit!) Overall, I would advise most pet owners from coming here unless your pet is absolutely without-a-doubt going to die otherwise. And even then get a second opinion if you have that option. I wish the staff here all the best but I will not be coming back.

Thank you CARE team! If you are looking for an excellent team of doctors and staff who respectful, kind, compassionate & listen to you as a pet owner. CARE is the place. Sad post warning: Yesterday my husband and I had to make one of the hardest decisions of our lives. Our sweet 14yr old chihuahua Chino was diagnosed with cancer about a month ago. We were thought he had 3 - 6 months to live if we didn’t do extensive testing and treatments. We decided not to due to this age and possible other health issues that can arise. He has been battling bladder issues for a while before we discovered the cancer. We chose to keep him comfortable and hopefully pain free for as long as we could. It seemed to be working but we noticed that his back hip was giving him issues and making it hard to walk. He was loosing weight no matter how much we fed him and sleeping All the time. Yesterday at about 330 he came out of his crate where he liked to sleep and couldn’t use his front leg at all. He was whimpering and in distress. When I tried to touch it he yelped and cried. His belly was distended and he was in all around pain. We knew it was time. We came to CARE Charlotte yesterday to proceed with putting him to sleep. We were assisted by the ER department and taking to a private “comfort” room. In there the staff went over what is to be expected. How this would be handled and encouraged us to take our time with him. There is a silent door bell on the wall that lets them know we are ready to proceed. The entire process was at our pace when we were ready. After they got him ready and we spent more time together, Dr. Teplin came in, while I held my baby she quietly and calmly told me what would happen. After that she sat on the floor while I held him in silent support while I lost my best friend. They then let me hold him for as long as I wanted. The entire staff who worked with us all acted like it was their dog they were losing. Everything was done in the room so we didn’t feel like we were on display. There is even a door to privately leave so you don’t walk through the lobby. After everything was done, my husband and I were relieved he wasn’t in pain anymore but completely devastated. However the entire experience at CARE was incredibly comforting, kind & delicately handled. We are forever grateful for them handling this difficult time for us. - The Helms Family.

Every single positive review for CARE is just a small sample of how amazing this place and the people are. My sweet pup, Barley, was diagnosed with a parathyroid tumor and due to the nature of this diagnosis we ended up having multiple visits for follow up testing after her initial 3 night surgery and hospital stay. Knowing my whole heart was going to be away from me for multiple days was beyond stressful - but from the very first consult I knew that not only was she in great hands, but in very loving hands. I just need to give a few shoutouts to some of the incredibly special people who helped bring my girl back to full health: Dr Dvorak, your skill is a gift for all of us pet parents you have helped. The years you have dedicated to learning your craft as a surgeon are so immensely appreciated. I cannot thank you enough for your genuine care for my best girl. I owe her quick recovery to you! Dr Gunstra, thanks so much for being there during the hours Dr Dvorak was away, for keeping me updated on B’s recovery and answering all my follow up questions. Kat and Jennifer, two of B’s techs: You literally loved on my girl like I do and I cannot tell you what that meant to me. Jennifer called me back late on a Friday evening to let me know how B was doing in ICU and to tell me “what a peach” she was and how everyone loved her - which literally helped me get some sleep that night. And Kat checked her schedule every morning to see if she would get to see Barley on her shift. She literally celebrated with me when we finally got B’s first good test results! Then there is Michelle - my front desk bestie - who greeted us every morning with a smile when we came in for tests, who distracted me when I needed distraction - and who even helped me dry out my car when it got rained in. CARE is not only a place of healing - and trust me, you will get the absolute very best treatment available - it’s like walking into a living room where family is waiting to love on you and support you through what could be a really stressful time. I will never ever forget how much you guys loved on my girl. Thank you is not enough. I have heard great things about the emergency department here but dealing with the oncology department has been a disaster. Communication is nonexistent. Bless the poor lady who answers their phone and emails because she has put up with a lot from me but her department is useless. Starting our first appt plans to drop our pet off with the front desk before oncology hours were not communicated so we were turned away. They say they will work with the referring vet so you don’t have to come to CARE each time. This wasn’t true so we had to get double CBCs and extra trauma for our boy. After a few months we were told treatment failed and were prescribed medicine to “keep him comfortable” for his last weeks (he is still alive, months after they said he wouldn’t be). When we contacted for refills for his end of life medication we were simply told no. No invite for an appointment, nothing. Just, no, talk to the referring vet. I still have not heard back from Dr Walters herself on this matter (she guaranteed refills as long as we needed them) but she is unavailable. Which isn’t actually a surprise as the team isn’t in Charlotte Saturday-Monday, leaving only Tues-Fri for possible communication but 90% of the time I don’t think any oncologist is in the office unless they have an actual appointment on the books. On top of that they haven’t given us any actual information outside of the biopsy results from an outside lab. Our referring vet broke all that down for us. They did an initial workup and said the cancer was a located only in one spot (after showing symptoms for almost 2 years - I really don’t think they comprehend these symptoms are not new to us) but after 3 months of treatment suddenly decided it had spread, even though no additional symptoms appeared, and they did not do another workup. Obviously they were wrong in the assumption, he’s gone almost 3x their expectancy and still seems fine. Our referring vet has said many times our situation is an unusual case. Maybe they would be better if they didn’t need to do any actual medical research and could use simple textbook treatments. Obviously we were not a simple enough case for them to figure out and, unlike our referring vet, they don’t seem to CARE.

The emergency services in this place are awful. I took my 19 year old dog who was on a kidney prescription given by her primary vet and I checked her in around 9pm for throwing up she was immediately checked in by a vet technician and her tests and blood work had already been completed within the first hour however, we had to wait 5hrs just for the doctor. After waiting 6.5hrs around 2:45am the vet spoke to me and said that my dogs liver is bad and I should consider hospitalization. My senior dog at the time was already on a kidney prescription and had no signs of liver issues however she did have a heart murmur that she’s lived with all her life and very bad separation anxiety. Therefore, I decided to give her at home medication which was prescribed to me by the doctor at this location. There were about three antibiotics prescribed for my dog along with liver medication I was also asked to completely stop my dogs current prescription. A couple of days passed and she was okay suddenly she started throwing up blood along with having bloody stools so I decided to rush her to my trusted banfield pet hospital and the doctor there said she was misdiagnosed and her liver values are not considered high at all for her age but her kidneys are now failing and the doctor at banfield gave my dog 2 days to live. I was in tears and was trying to figure out why I was told her liver was bad when her kidneys failed and that’s when I was told the diagnosis I received at CARE was incorrect and if I had kept my dog on the prescription food her kidneys would not have progressively worsened at that rate. My sweet 19 year old baby passed yesterday in my arms. This place was a mistake please don’t bring your senior dogs to this place I wish someone warned me before I rushed my baby here . The emergency service they offer was a $600 misdiagnosis all for my baby who I’ve had for 19 years of my life to not make it at the end. So if you want your dog to survive and live it’s maximum quality life I would steer clear from this horrible place.

This facility goes above and beyond to help pets and owners alike. I have used this ER vet center for two of my cats, and both times I was left feeling like I made the right decision. They found a urethra plug and crystals in the bladder of my older cat Sushi, and prevented a fatal situation for him. A few weeks later, I lost my 10 month old kitten, Patches, in their office on April 16th due to her bladder rupturing from what I have now learned was a congenital birth defect. A few days later, I got a personally hand-written beautiful card in the mail from CARE to offer their condolences in our loss. Included was a notice that they donated money in Patches' name to help other low income families afford life-saving Vet care. They also included a surprise gift of flower seeds to plant in remembrance for her. I have been inconsolable the last few days due to the loss of my kitten, but their office has made the process as gentle and humane as possible. I am soon moving out of the area and one of my biggest regrets is that I won't be close enough to use their office in the future for emergencies. This office is the one that assisted me when no other office would. They helped make sure that Patches could pass away peacefully. They walked me through the entire process towards humanely euthanizing her, offered sympathy, and helped me with the costs. I am disabled and have very low income, and they didn't turn me away in her time of need - other offices I called did. They offer both a public cremation + burial in a pet garden for low income families, or a private cremation service partnered with Faithful Companion. I opted for the private cremation so that I could bring her home. I recommend this option for any families that are grieving, but I know that their public garden cremation and burial service is cheaper for low-income families - and we almost went with that option. Thank you, CARE, for everything you've done for our cats. I appreciate you, and no words can describe how thankful I am to have used your services.

I went to CARE to say goodbye to my dog of 15 years. When I called on the phone, I was told there were no appointments at the facility. So, I knew there may be a wait. My girlfriend drove me and my dog and we arrived at 2pm. A vet tech took my dog back to take his vitals around 2:30 and then we were ushered into a smaller waiting room where I was reunited with my dog and told we could wait here until the doctor could come see us. At 4:30 - no one had even entered the room or updated us. I went to the front desk and asked if I could take my dog outside to relieve himself and to inquire how much longer it would be since it had been a few hours. I was told it might be another hour and a half before we could be seen. I went back into the room, got my dog and we told the front desk we were leaving. The same vet tech that took us back to the room was there while we waited to tell them we were leaving and never even acknowledged us. It is a very difficult decision to end a dog's life- a companion for many years. To be made to wait for 2.5 hours with this decision over my head with NO UPDATE was unacceptable. I understand they may have been busy and they didn't take appointments. But if you know there is going to be a significant wait (at this point, over 4 hours- tell the clients ahead of time so they can decide what to do). Later that night, I received a call- 8:30 pm from CARE where they asked if I was in my car or in the room to be seen! seriously?!?!? I told him we left at 4:30 and he apologized and said to disregard the call. So, I take that to mean I would have been waiting to euthanize my dog in a small sterile room from 2:30pm until 8:30pm without any word from a staff member. NOT COOL. I'm saddened that this was the experience I had when dealing with an emotionally difficult decision and hope they don't treat anyone else like this. I have since called another facility that does take appointments and am hopeful I can erase this from my mind and have a peaceful and loving passing for my best friend.

Visiting an emergency vet is always a high-stress situation; however, during both of my visits to CARE with my Great Dane, the kindness, professionalism, and compassion of the team put me at ease! The first visit was for an obstruction. They spoke to my primary vet that had taken the X-rays ahead of time and were prepared when we showed up. They monitored her closely until they were able to get her into surgery and were great about giving me updates before and after. She has now fully recovered and is doing fantastic! The second time I took her was for a her eye which she would not fully open. They were transparent about their wait time that evening but still, despite being very busy, sent a tech out to take a look and triage her within 5-10 minutes. They told me it could wait until the morning and I could see my primary vet then. It made me feel a million times better to have a professional look at it! It seems that they have an great triaging system and although it’s not easy to know your pet has to wait for an urgent but less time sensitive surgery or to be told it’s not worth being seen tonight despite your worry, it makes me feel better knowing that they are attending the pets that need it the most and I know I can trust them to do the same for my pets if I’m ever in that situation. They were also transparent about costs and gave me many options. A trip to an emergency vet (or any vet) is never inexpensive and I appreciated them being upfront and offering options. Luckily, I have pet insurance so I was able to afford my pup the most proactive care! I highly recommend insurance to anyone with a pet. The high prices are not unique to this practice and the way they communicated about it never came off as greedy or lacking compassion for me or my dog but rather it felt responsible and proactive so I could make the best personal choice in this scary and unexpected situation. Thanks again, CARE!

What do you appreciate more when you are scared, clueless, worried and not even in your own state? For my wife and I, our little Frenchie, Abby, woke up last Tuesday at 2am with her hind legs paralyzed. We are from NYC and we were in Wilmington, NC, where there was no MRI machine or neurologist. They recommended us to go to CARE - a 3.5 hour drive, which we gunned it in less than 3 hours. They took Abby in right away, got an MRI done and her surgery was complete by 12pm that same day. From being scared, the intake, ER doctor, neurologist, vet techs and everyone one else that's part of the CARE family - provided us very very comprehensive explanations for every option - good or heartbreaking. That's what it takes to make sound decisions without any regrets. Clueless - not from North Carolina, not with Vets that are our primary care, not having gone through this IVDD before or what to expect - we were kept in the loop every step of the way. From daily calls from the neurologist and his team, to the vet techs that were caring for Abby in the ICU, to the front desk who already knew Abby - we now felt knowledgeable enough not to be scared. Worried - at first, of course! She made it through the surgery and a professional opinion that the surgery went best that it should be, questions that were asked at every step, calling at 10pm to see if she has eaten, dropping off her favorite snacks and the techs more than happy to take it and feed her - to her favorite stuffed toy so she can know that we are still with her. A higher power guided us to these angels that work and care for our Abby at CARE and we are blessed to have them in our corner. If there was any opportunity in the world that I can return the favor to anyone on that staff, I would do it, at a "slip" of a dime. Thank you all at CARE - you will always be in our hearts, as well as Abby's days!!! XOXOXO

Let me say, I've not had to make use of an emergency veterinary hospital but once in 16 years with my little Pomeranian... But in the last two weeks we needed to 3 different times. The first two were at a very good place I won't mention, but we were referred to CARE Charlotte for their special programs, and now they will have lifelong business from us because they saved our dog! Hands down, these folks are professional and have empathy for your situation, are thoughtful and honest when they discuss what's going on with your pet. They'll provide the highest level of care possible and even in the days of covid they'll let you visit your pet to encourage, feed, walk, and recover... After pancreatitis, my dog suffered a bout of what would be called Stevens Johnson syndrome in humans. She was broken out in splotches like hives, in pain from edema all over, and so sick and uncomfortable she couldn't be calmed. Nothing made sense, since she was perfectly fine recovering from pancreatitis a week before, then wham, some crazy combination of drugs or the carrier they were compounded in caused a violent systemic reaction in my 16 year old Pom. But we and they stuck it out with her for 4 days and today I picked her up and took her home. I couldn't be more happy with their care and assistance through this, and firmly believe my dog is alive only because of them. Thanks to everyone at CARE Charlotte!! The front desk folks who were so nice accommodating us over the weekend... The vet techs who always called and kept us updated every day... The doctors in the back who left no stone unturned to fix my furry friend... And special thanks to Dr. Shannon Flood, internal medicine specialist at CARE, for her diligence and understanding what my senior doggie needed to get through this. I don't think you'll find a better animal hospital in Charlotte!

If I could give a negative zero I would! The scheduler in oncology lied to us. I specifically came to CARE for the Oncept vaccine to treat oral melanoma for my golden retriever Alamo. And CARE was aware of the reason we were coming. The vaccine is in short supply. Our attending oncologist at Virginia Tech is temporarily out of the vaccine and suggested I reach out to other teaching hospitals or specialty hospitals to see if I could find the vaccine. I called CARE and they said they had plenty in stock. I called back a couple of times to make sure they had the four vaccines we would need to complete the treatment. She assured me yes, they had plenty. Today after driving 1.5 hours to get there, I was told they were out of the vaccine. I had given up an earlier appointment at another facility that was further away because CARE said they had plenty on hand. So now I’ve lost 2 weeks and have to start my search all over again. I should have known not to trust CARE - Alamo was there 2 years ago for liver cancer. The surgeon at CARE tried to remove the tumor but could not. He was given 6 months to live. We drove across the country to UC Davis for treatment where the surgeon was successful in removing it. The oncologist at CARE, lacked compassion, commitment and never followed up with us on the post-surgical care that UCDavis recommended. Her attitude was - “well call me if you need me.” Anyone with a bit of common sense knows cancer is not a one and done. I have no level of trust in CARE’s oncology department. Though I did speak to the hospital administrator who was very professional. For cancer go to a university veterinary teaching hospital. That is where you get the best care and most current treatments.

It has been 3.5 weeks. My dog passed away at CARE after I chose their emergency care placing all my trust into professionals to help save his life. He was hospitalized over the weekend and given an MRI on Monday. My dog did not survive anesthesia as he was unable to breathe afterwards. Was an MRI ethical to give him? I wish someone could have consulted with me about risks of the anesthesia for the MRI. After he passed on a table, someone immediately came into room requesting money. Was this necessary while I was in shock? In 3.5 weeks, I have experienced support from everyone EXCEPT C.A.R.E. I received support from my primary care vets in Cornelius, my groomers and owners, dog boarding staff and owner, MedVet (out of state) in Columbus Ohio that once treated my dog, pet boutique store owners, Hollywood Pet staff, grocery store staff, and more… but NEVER received anything from the CARE emergency facility that I placed all my trust to help care for my dog. I even received cards from a Vet emergency service out of state! They heard about Murphy & sent me 2 cards and many signatures from staff that remembered my dog and loved him!. I also received support from a neurologist in Charlotte and a vet in Greenville SC! But no one ever followed up, no cards, no sympathy, nothing from CARE - the place I chose to help my dog. At CARE - I was given a box with my dog inside. It was harsh. It was difficult to accept the coldness of care. I raised and cared for my dog for 10.5 years with many memories. CARE - Do better. Losing a family member is a difficult experience but leaving a facility with zero passion was worst. It made me rethink what I did and where I took my family dog. He deserved better.

There are no words that can express our gratitude to Dr. Fred Wininger, Anna and the entire neurological team at CARE. Our beloved little Yorkshire Terrier became very weak and unable to walk due to chronic cervical disc disease and a fall down our stairwell that greatly exacerbated the problem. We were looking at letting her go because we recognized she no longer had a quality of life. We took her to be evaluated by Dr. Wininger and due to the seriousness of her situation, Dr. Wininger could make no promises that surgical intervention would bring positive results. We decided to gamble and take a chance on the surgery. As a physician, I knew well the potential possible outcomes. We had asked Dr. Wininger to let her pass during the procedure if he thought there was no hope. We knew however if there was a surgeon in Charlotte with the knowledge and skill set to chance our sweethearts circumstances it was Dr. Wininger. Shortly after surgery, Dr. Wininger called us with the good news! He was able to repair all of the diseased discs. The next morning we received the best news of our lives. Our sweet girl was walking again. We are now five weeks post-op and our sweet girl is walking the block and playing with her toys as if nothing had ever happened. It is so evident that Dr. Wininger has trained hard and has dedicated his career to bringing smiles back to pets and their families faces. We are forever grateful Dr. Wininger for the opportunity you have given us to continue to love on our girl for hopefully years to come. Scott McCune M.D. and the entire McCune family again wants to express our deepest gratitude.

this was one of the saddest days of our lives as our baby Daisy had taken ill. From the moment we arrived, Donald greeted us with a warm welcome and offered us a beverage. Then Kyren instantly took our sick baby back to the Dr. who immediately and passionately cared for and updated us with Daisy status. the care from this team was above anything I have ever experienced. Dr O'Grady was so patient, caring and above all else understanding to our situation. She listened, related and didn't rush us with our difficult situation we found ourselves in. She used layman terms and gave us options. and Dr. O'Grady handled Daisy like the precious baby that she is to all of us. they even brought her to us wrapped in a cozy blanket so we could hold her. that meant so much to us because she had been away from us all night from just getting blood work at Carolina Pet Services on Township road, no updates except before we left, it was horrible. the doctor at Carolina Pet Service on township road was not qualified to care for pets we were sent from Carolina Pet service on township road- where not only did we wait 3.5 hours when no one else was there, but they didn't even bring our Daisy to us after we paid, we had to ask for her. t was horrible waiting 3.5 hours just to get labs drawn then to not hold her during this precious time we had left; u can read my review for that business on their website. which I suggest you do before going there. Don't wasted precious time, go directly to Dr. O'Grady and staff because they are the ones who care and help your loved ones with the attention that is needed without delay.

I cannot thank the surgical team and oncology team here enough. Our Great Dane, Kenzie, has been battling an osteosarcoma for several months with Dr Campbell in Oncology. Dr Campbell and her team have been so helpful with guidance and advice along the way. Two days ago, Kenzie had her right forelimb amputated. Yesterday when going to pick her up post-op, she collapsed in the parking lot and had a cardiac episode. The two techs who were brining her out, were absolutely PHENOMENAL with their rapid response and quick action to get her back inside to the ICU and treated promptly. They kept her another night for stabilization and monitoring and were so calming, communicative, and caring the entire time Kenzie was with them. Dr Dvorak did her procedure flawlessly and Dr Gunstra has been absolutely amazing on keeping us up to date and explaining everything to us each day. Upon picking her up today, techs Stephanie and Rick brought her out and loaded her into our car. They stayed outside for an ample amount of time confirming she was able to safely go home and that we were both well versed in signs/symptoms to keep an eye out for. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking such exceptional care of our baby girl and making sure she came back home to us. Thank you for ensuring we were comfortable and well informed through this tough journey. Your entire team is such a blessing to our family❤️ -Kenzie Brown’s mom and dad

Had to put our dog to sleep. They put us in a small, noisy room. They said it would be a quiet room but it was right behind the front desk, so we were able to hear everyone in the lobby. The vent was also throbbing very loudly- dogs are sensitive to sound. :(. The vet tech told us we would receive inked paw prints. I guess they dont do that typically, but they came back with paw prints anyways- they were awful. It was nice they tried bc the new vet tech didnt know any better. Which im still wondering why they would assign a NEW employee to us in our most vulnerable state. The new employee said she would give us a few minutes like we asked. Well, it ended up being over 10 minutes, and our dog eventually got irritated and he was in pain with the IV stuck in him. I had to call for help in the back. No one came. I then went to the front, sobbing bc my dog is irritated, and now i have to find someone to put him to sleep. It was AWFUL. The vet came in and i was just not okay. My dog was not okay. He was peaceful before… but now I wasnt ready to put my dog to sleep in the irritable state he was in. My boyfriend was ready. So it caused frustration between us. i just wanted my dog to relax again. But that never happened. This was a few days ago. It still bothers me. The new vet tech never even came back to our room. I just dont recommend this place anymore. They are just too busy to give 100% compassionate care.

Brought my 8month husky mix in with vomiting and diarrhea. I had originally thought it was an intestinal obstruction, as she had eaten a belt recently. Vets performed abdominal palp and rectal exam and saw no evidence of serious obstruction. I declined X-rays due to the cost at the time. Vets gave fluids and nausea meds and we set up with our gp vet. WELL turns out it was parvo, which our gp vet tested for immediately when we stated we were unsure if the people we had rescued her from had vaccinated her (she is a very recent rehome and had not yet been seen by any other vet that we know of). Turns out the supportive treatment is exactly the same anyway, the second vet gives fluids and nausea meds as well as antibiotics to prevent sepsis from parvovirus. Betty started eating normally again yesterday and has all of her energy back, and it looks like she's going to be fine. This vet did their job as an emergency vet very competently, by providing correct supportive care that contributed to her recovery. The fact that it was the gp vet who did the more specific tests is probably an appropriate division of labor. I do think you could afford to be a bit more liberal with testing for communicable diseases in dogs without actual vet histories, but I get it, you're out here stabilizing animals to get them to their regular vets, which you did.

In June 2021 we adopted a Great Pyrenees puppy. During her second night with us she managed to force her way out of her crate, but trapped her waist & back legs. She was unable to walk the next day, so we took her to an emergency vet. After 2 days there she showed little sign of improvement and we were told to find a Neurologist to possibly perform an MRI and treat our new puppy for spinal cord damage. We didn't have a Neurologist recommended to us but are SO happy we chose CARE in Charlotte. Every member of staff was friendly, polite & helpful and reassured that our pup was in the best hands. Nikki dealt with most of our calls and was the perfect contact, talking us through each step of what to expect, with nothing being too much trouble. After a checkup from the wonderful team, Dr Kowal came and spoke to us, confirming that not only would an MRI not be needed (saving us $ thousands when they could have easily charged us for an unnecessary procedure) but that they were satisfied our new girl would make a full recovery. A quick follow-up appointment a week later confirmed that she was coming on well and we got an all-clear. We've had one or two questions since and nothing has been too much trouble for the team. Hopefully we won't need services like these again, but if we do then CARE Charlotte is the first place we'd turn to.

Wow, what a phenomenal group of animal Doctors and staff members!! They have kept us informed and advised about every step and treatment that Alejandro has received and we received updates two times a day on his condition along with calls from the treating Vet. They have answered all my questions, have been extremely helpful and friendly while also being compassionate and understanding that Alejandro is a valued and loved family member. He’s not just a random patient to my family, he’s a loved and cared about family member whom we are very worried about and want to provide the best care and opportunity for recovery possible. It’s comforting and extremely valuable to get the level of feedback and compassionate communication that comes with the medical care at Care. They get it. Thank you for making this experience a little less stressful. Whatever the outcome I feel as if we gave Alejandro the best shot at recovery and I’m cautiously optimistic about his situation. Thank you Care!! Update : Alejandro has been sent home and we are feeding him his medication and food via a feeding tube. The Doctors from Care call to check up on the patient, are available to answer any questions and give updates on his pending biopsy. I stand by my review. This is the only place to bring your pet for critical care and attention!!

we took our two dogs here for kennel cough and got pretty good care. both dogs got the same medications, but they were given different doses. we got home pretty late - after 9pm - and we’re about to give our dogs the medicine. that’s when we realized we were given 4 bottles of medication labeled and dosed for one dog. so we couldn’t medicate both dogs properly. i called immediately and was told “you’re going to have to come back. we’re sorry.” okay, i get it. my dog needed the medicine and i appreciated the apology. however, had we not paid attention and only read one label, our dog wouldn’t have gotten the proper dose. my fiancé called back the next day and asked for a refund or some sort of reimbursement due to us having to drive ~35 minutes to them to get the correct medication. a few months go by and a relative take their dog to CARE… and they were given a completely incorrect dose that could’ve been fatal. i understand mistakes happen, and that’s why we were understanding and figured they were just busy and it somehow slipped for us. honest mistake. but if it has happened to another person we know within a few months, there’s a trend. they were not as nice to our family member as they were to us. so if there is no other option and you get medicine from this facial, please TRIPLE check your medications.

I’ve been to CARE quite a times over the years and I’ve always been so pleased with their services. They saved my grandma’s dog a few years ago when she collapsed in an addison’s crisis, treated my parents cat for cancer which gave her so much more time, and helped with other minor emergencies over the years for my family. Last night was no different. I brought my dog Bowman in for emergency trauma. I was met at my car with a gurney by two vet techs who gently and calmly helped him out of the car and took him back right away for treatment. They comforted him the whole way. One vet tech came out multiple times to give me updates and to give me pricing information. Everyone was very kind and that made a scary situation so much better. I was a total mess but the staff were calm and acted with urgency that made me feel like Bowman was important to them. Emergency visits can be expensive, but no one can operate a business for free. The staff offered me options every step of the way, and told me ways that I could possibly save money by using conservative treatment. I highly recommend having pet insurance! My dog’s insurance will reimburse for a majority of the expenses and I’m so grateful that I didn’t have to choose his treatment based on pricing, but I appreciated their transparency.

I was referred to neurology at CARE by my vet for my chiweenie Lady. She has IVDD and was suffering with horrible back pain from what I found out was a bulging disc at just 3 years old. I was really impressed with the prompt care and knowledge of the neurology staff. She had her consult, MRI and surgery all in the same day. She’s 2 weeks post op, had her stitches removed today and is on the road to a full recovery. Although I’m happy with the outcome, I was upset that Dr Wininger didn’t call me after he completed her surgery to let me know she was okay and in recovery (especially when they tell you there is a very small chance your dog can die under anesthesia) I feel as if this is a very crucial step, as most dog owners are sitting by the phone waiting for a call to let them know that there were no complications. I did end up calling around 8 o’clock that night to check on her status, and they told me the surgery went fine and she was in recovery but still not something you should have to do after you’ve just paid them $5,000 for surgery. I would recommend CARE and return in the future if Lady ever needs medical care again as I don’t doubt their skill, just think they should communicate better with their customers.

I am so pleased with the services I received from CARE. I brought my dog in around 7am because she was acting strange and having uncontrollable diarrhea for a few days. They noticed I was dropped off by a Lyft and without me asking allowed me to stay in one of their examination rooms even though they are doing curbside pickup/drop off appts. I did wait a while for my dog to be seen, which is understandable as they had surgeries/more urgent emergencies. Once she was taken to the back I waited a couple hours, but a technician came in. I was honest and let her know I was on a tight budget but still really wanted to care for my dog the best I can. She understood and let the vet know. Once the vet came to let me know the results of the examination she told me she did an ultrasound on my dog because she was concerned about my dog's uterus and liver. I was surprised because i know they can be expensive but she did not charge me for it. The vet did only tests she thought were necessary and beneficial for my dog while keeping my budget in mind. She sent us home with medication and antibiotics. My dog is back to health is running and playing as usual. I appreciate all staff being so flexible and understanding. Thank you!

CARE is hands down the most amazing animal hospital there is! The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and kind. I would 100% recommend them to anyone with a sick pet. They were able to diagnose and effectively treat my dog Ozzie when there was little hope for her. Not only did they do a great job treating her, they also showed such a genuine care and concern for my dog - whom like most pet owners - I consider my best friend and family. About one year ago, my 10 year old lab mix became very sick. Within a few weeks she lost all her motor functions, stopped eating and drinking, was unable to even sit up, stand or move her paws by herself. I took her to numerous vets in the area...all were unable to explain the cause or help her pain. FINALLY, we were referred to CARE and they were able to pin point the cause...autoimmune encephalitis. Her body, for unknown reasons, was attacking her brain causing severe swelling. Although prognosis did not seem good due to the extent of the swelling, CARE walked me through every option with detail and kindness. Now, I am ecstatic to announce that after months of treatment, my dog Ozzie has made a full recovery!!! I cannot thank CARE enough. They are true professionals who care :)

Read this before emergency spine surgery. Our dog had emergency spine surgery that went as planned. The recovery rate is 50/50 and we knew that at the time of our decision to move forward. Since we had to make an immediate decision, we had no opportunity to fully understand the ramifications both physically and emotionally for the family and dog when caring for a paraplegic, especially a 50LB dog. We are now in month 3 of rehab and he is starting to put weight on his back legs, taking his own steps in the water treadmill and fighting each day to walk again. He still can’t do 1&2 on his own so we are helping there since day 1. Guess what, we don’t regret the decision and are committed to keep fighting as long as he keeps progressing. However our family has taken on a 24/7 vet tech type responsibility that should be considered very closely before moving forward with this type of surgery. My goal here is to give first hand experience of where the surgery went well, however the ramifications of the surgery is enormous. I believe the DR should see this and incorporate it as part of explaining the pros/cons of surgery prior. The 7k in cost wasn’t even the tip of the iceberg. That was the easy part actually.

CARE was able to see my cat within days of me discovering a concerning lump that turned out to be cancer. The doctors were able to operate almost immediately, which likely prolonged my cat's life. In addition to efficient, expert medical care for my cat, the doctors were also excellent at empathetic communication. Each day throughout the diagnostic and surgical process, and sometimes multiple times a day, my cat's surgeon, Dr. Thompson, would call me with updates about my cat. She never seemed rush to get me off the phone and took the time to explain everything in a way I could understand. Oftentimes, she answered questions I had before I even asked them. Most importantly of all, Dr. Thompson seemed to deeply care about my cat as an individual and to understand the heartbreak I was going through as a result of my cat's diagnosis. My belief that the doctors and staff genuinely care about their patient was further reinforced after I lost my cat seven months later and received a wonderful book in the mail, "Cat Heaven," signed by the entire staff. This was such an incredibly kind gesture and made me wish that all pets and pet parents could receive this exceptional level of thoughtfulness.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about CARE, their staff, and overall professionalism. Our sweet fur baby seemingly developed glaucoma overnight due to an underlying genetic disease that does not present signs until maturity. We were referred to CARE by our primary veterinarian and drove straight to their clinic. We were seen within minutes of arrival by Dr. Broadwater and his team, and were treated with compassion and CARE. He provided the utmost insight into our dog's unfortunate condition, thoroughly explaining the cause, treatment plans, and probable outcomes of success of treatment. Many vets could simply recommend countless costly procedures to put money in their pockets but Dr. Broadwater was completely transparent in his approach and let us know the likelihood of success with surgery was slim. We truly felt he was making suggestions as if he were talking about his own pet. We are still early into the treatment plan/medication but I'm cautiously optimistic, as our dog has already improved immensely. If you want your fur baby to receive the same compassion and love (by all staff members) I could not recommend CARE enough!

I had an amazing experience with Care charlotte. We had an emergency appointment as my dogs eye was extremely swollen and bloodshot. Our vet called them, and they fit us in that day. Within an hour they were able to tell us that our pup had a melanoma tumor in his eye. They scheduled him for an appointment a week out to have his eye removed. The surgery was successful! The vet got clean cuts and was able to remove the tumor completely. They also called to check up on Milo the next day, and were great at communicating. My dog is like a puppy again, completely healed and loving life (permanently winking at all the ladies). Everyone was so friendly from the receptionist ladies, vet and the whole ophthalmology team. This was back in April, when COVID restrictions were still in place. Communication was done over the phone, and drop offs in the parking lot. They were able to make the process seamless even during the restrictions. If you're a paranoid dog parent like me, they also have video tours on their youtube of what the facility looks like inside (reminds me of greys anatomy!) Can't thank you guys enough!

I was there on Friday 21st @ 11:30 am with my dog Krillin . My dog was in trouble health wise and was referred to Care Charlotte for emergency expertise. My vet called them and told us Care was waiting on us to arrive . I am not placing blame on this office for my dog passing away but for an Emergency Vet office no one at the front desk was in a hurry to help me . I came in the front door holding my limp dog and there was three young ladies behind the desk to my left and they IGNORED me like I wasn’t there . There was another lady to my right and she ignored me at first until I asked her if she was planning on helping me . I told her that my Vet called and Krillin was in trouble , barely alive and at first she said they didn’t know anything about him and wasn’t expecting him but there was a clip board with his name on it right in front of her . She then asked me to sit down and someone would be with me in a minute, as I hold my lifeless dog I asked if she could get someone NOW . Long story short I wasn’t impressed with anything they did EXCEPT the gentleman vet tech who actually cared about my dog .

I cannot give enough positive feedback regarding my experiences here. The entire team cared for my dog and myself as though we were the most important thing they had to take care of that day. The team answering the phones took my concerns and request seriously and promptly got my call to the right person. After determining that my request was outside of normal they made sure to let me know that they would do everything the could to help me and my dog. Dr. Wininger spent significant time reviewing my dog’s case (which had been originally started at another specialty hospital) and helped me determine the best course of action to give him the best quality and length of life. This team took time out of their busy day saving lives to help me make the best decisions for my dog’s life. In this time when things seem harder than ever this wonderful team showed my dog and myself compassion. Dr. Wininger’s expertise were highly recommended by other veterinary professionals and his direction will help my boy live his best possible life. Thank you to everyone on the CARE team!

Absolutely cannot say enough good things about the level of care and compassion everyone at CARE Charlotte showed our 4 year old Labradoodle. He was admitted due to pneumonia that had developed after a bout of kennel cough, and they immediately went to work on him. We received a phone update at the end of each doctors shift and were able to call and speak to the nurses at any time for an update. Unfortunately, after three days of around the clock care he succumbed to his illness. The amount of compassion the staff provided us was incredibly comforting as we were given all the time we wanted in privacy to say our goodbyes, and then allowed to leave through a private exit so as to not have to go back through the lobby in front of everyone. Even though we didn’t have the outcome we had hoped, the staff at CARE did absolutely everything they could for our dog and I believe probably kept him alive a few extra days for us. I would not hesitate to bring your pet to them when they have an urgent issue - they were outstanding and we will forever be grateful to them.

We had a great experience with CARE in both the surgery and oncology departments. Having a dog with cancer is extremely hard, but CARE makes it as easy as possible. They are kind, organized, positive, and have overall amazing communication skills. When my dog was diagnosed with cancer, I reached out to CARE even though they were 1.5 hours away. Right off the bat, they were responsive and got her in quicker than any other oncologist. They were even able to squeeze her in for surgery the next day after her very first appointment. Dr. Dvorak got great margins on my dog’s cancer spot which was huge for us. She was thorough in communication, confident, and reassuring. After surgery, my dog went through a couple rounds of chemo prior to us moving. I felt confident dropping her off each time. Her chemo sessions were usually done very quickly. Dr. Walters, Brodie, Blair, and Liz were also exceptional! Compared to other places, they are priced really well. Our girl is still doing great to this day. I highly recommend them.

  • Anthony Badillo

Dr. Dvorak and Dr. James were absolutely amazing. Our German Shepherd, Maddox, was rushed into emergency surgery as he was anemic due to a ruptured splenic tumor. His spleen was successfully removed by Dr. Dvorak and he was simultaneously given a transfusion due to his anemia. Dr. James updated us when the surgery began. After it was over, Dr. Dvorak called us saying Maddox had made it through and checked in with us each day to provide us with progress updates. Unfortunately, the biopsy confirmed our worst fears, Maddox had hemangiosarcoma, one of the most aggressive forms of canine cancers. Dr. Dvorak handed us off to Dr. Walters and her team in oncology to provide chemotherapy treatment. Dr. Walters continued to follow up with us after each visit until the treatments were no longer effective at stopping the metastasis. I have never experienced a veterinary team go above and beyond the way that the entire team at CARE Charlotte did. Thank you just doesn’t carry the gratitude we have in our hearts.

I can't begin to say enough wonderful things about the Oncology Team at CARE. They began treating my dog for lymphoma this past spring. Finding out your a four-legged child has cancer is absolutely devastating and the treatment I opted for was intense. It was an extremely emotional and stressful time. Dr. Walters, Steven, Chasmine and Brittney made us feel at home, they took care of and loved my dog like they would their own. They genuinely care and it makes a world of a difference. They go above and beyond in so many ways. Even the front desk staff has been fantastic, they remember us and are always warm and welcoming. I could go on and on about how grateful I am for them and the experience we had. My dog is in full remission and most likely wouldn't be alive if it weren't for CARE (Dr. Walters). They've extended his life and given me more time to spend with my sweet pup. I wish they could be our full-time vet. If the CARE team is reading this, THANK YOU for everything!

Update a year later. 2 weeks ago what i thought was going to be the end of his life ended up being the beginning of the rest of his life. Keenai was misdiagnosed with a megacolon turns out he had bilateral perineal hernia. Of course care found the problem. Keenai went in for surgery where Dr. Thompson performed it. I cannot say enough about the care team...and i absolutely cannot say enough about Dr. Thompson. She is absolutely amazing, compassionate, caring etc. She has taken great care of my boy and me. Not once have i felt like i was bothering her with my questions. She is kind, understanding, compassionate and gets what my baby boy means to me she is all around amazing. Thank you Dr. Thompson for all you have done and continue to do. Thank you to the care team for looking after keenai. Thank you Care team for all you did for my baby Keenai! From beginning to the end everyone was AMAZING. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking great care of him!!!!

My dog was struck by a car on Old Providence and I immediately rushed her to Long's on South Boulevard, once stabilized they instructed me that she needed to be moved to the CARE facility. Once we arrived the staff rushed her into their emergency room and providing life saving treatment for her head trauma. The staff is extremely professional and I can't begin to thank Dr. Fauber and everyone for the attention and care they provided at our greatest time of need. When I read the other posts of people with bad or negative experiences you can't do anything but feel bad, since these are difficult and painful situations. The costs to me are insignificant since you will make money throughout your life, but only one special and unique dog. I cannot think of another clinic that offers so many services almost 24 hours a day. If anything ever happens to any of our animals we will not hesitate to take them directly the CARE facility. Thanks, Hunter, Angela & Dutch

I cannot say enough about the Doctors and Staff at CARE. First we rescued Mack (the one with his head down on the bed) about a year ago through New York Bully Crew. He was hit by a car in Texas and left on the side of the road to die. Fortunately NYBC stepped in and rescued him. He was taken to CARE after we adopted him to be evaluated for his eye and head injuries. They cared for him as if he was their own pet. A couple of days ago my son had to bring in Cosimo (another rescue) because he swallowed a rope toy that caused blockage and from vomiting brought on pneumonia. Every time we called they gave us a complete update and never rushed us off the phone. Explained things in laments terms and again cared for him and treated him as if he was their own baby. I would strongly recommend this facility and no matter how far I'd have to travel, it is definitely worth it. Thank you so much CARE for taking care of my Grand-Furbabies. You are truly the best.

I am so impressed with the level of care that my pet received at CARE. I have been fostering a litter of 6 week old kittens and last night, one of the kittens was not putting any weight on his rear left leg, had labored breathing, and had an extremely high fever. Everybody at CARE was so kind, compassionate, and supportive during such a stressful time. Dr. Shaw and Dr. Huang were extremely thorough and went above and beyond to care for Henry while he stayed in the hospital overnight and provide me with updates on his progress. I am so grateful to the team at CARE for saving Henry’s life. Josh was so thorough and kind when he discharged Henry from the hospital this morning. I can tell that the team at CARE really care for their patients like they are their own pets and they were absolutely phenomenal last night. I would highly recommend CARE to any pet parent that is experiencing an emergency and needs immediate care with an exceptional staff!

As a veterinarian myself, I know how to recognize excellent, thorough care. I've been referring clients to CARE for specialized services for many years, but I had never experienced them from a client's point of view until a few days ago, when my beloved senior dog, Ori, fell severely ill and I rushed her here for emergency treatment. I honestly cannot rave enough about how incredible everyone at this wonderful facility was, from Sarah who did her initial intake, to Dr Shaw and Dr Margarucchi who handled her complex case, and Jess who did her very detailed discharge. Everyone was compassionate, thorough, and extremely knowledgeable. Thanks to the wonderful care my girl received from the entire team, she's doing much better. CARE is hands-down the best facility for emergency and specialized treatment. They will treat you and your pet like family! Thanks again so much to everyone there! -Dr Goodknight

I am not a pet person, but I have lots of friends and family who have fur babies. I have a general compassion for all animals but usually I am pretty uninvolved. Until last night when my close friend and neighbors Dane puppy, Little, was hit by a speeding car. It was horrible to witness and even scarier as we waited for the Dr to let us know how Little was doing. She did not make it, her injuries were too bad The care team here was absolutely amazing! I have never experienced this before and they just set a very high standard for me. The compassion that they showed Little and her mom, my friend, was beautiful. Honestly, they rival any human funeral home I have visited. They gave my friend all the time she needed to say goodbye to Little and were so supportive that even though we were in a very hard time it was easy. Thank you so much for being such a caring group of people

This place is a godsend. They have the most experienced staff with specialists, most equipment & capabilities, and somehow is still the most affordable. My dog was really struggling, I had to transfer him to this clinic because the emergency vet he was being hospitalized in didn’t have the specialists required to properly diagnose him. They were going to charge me nearly 3.5k for overnight hospitalization and treatment, while they did hospitalize him they couldn’t diagnose him so they charged me 1700+ just to keep him stable overnight, no X-rays or anything. I transferred him to CARE and they hospitalized him for 24hrs, X-rays, tests, and full treatment medication plan after diagnosing and it was only 1300. He has been back to normal since I got him back and is doing great so far, fingers crossed. So BIG shout out to CARE for their amazing team and affordable care.

  • Emily Frost

The cardiology team at CARE is absolutely amazing - they have the expertise and leading treatments you need for your beloved pet, but also the compassion and empathy you want when you receive a tough diagnosis. Dr. Rouben and the cardiology team provided the highest level of care for our kitty, who was diagnosed with advanced heart failure. With their careful monitoring and great treatment, they helped us to have another 9 months with him - and they were some of the best months of his life. When we said goodbye to Birdie, they went above and beyond to show their support with a beautiful plant arrangement and book. This is hands down the best place you could go for emergency and specialty care! Dr. Lang from the emergency care team was wonderful and she and her team did all they could to make sure Birdie was comfortable and cared for until we said goodbye.

  • Jessica Gietz

I can't say enough positive comments about the people at CARE. We had to take our dog, Daisy, to CARE multiple times to receive treatment for a heart condition, and Dr. Rouben and the cardiology team blew me away by their professionalism and kindness. When we brought Daisy in, she was basically in the late stages of her heart disease, and Dr. Rouben was extremely patient and sympathetic with us when breaking the news and continually worked with us to adjust meds and make her as comfortable as possible for her last few months. He and the vet techs I met took their time answering any of my questions, consoled me when the news wasn't great, and encouraged me when I needed a lift in spirits. I'm certain that Daisy lived a longer and happier life because of the care and attention that was given to her by these amazing people. I would highly recommend them!

2 months after my cat Finn had surgery at my regular vets to fix a blocked urethra he started having problems again, of course this happened late and on a weekend. After taking him to one emergency vet we were referred to take him to CARE in South Charlotte as his only option. Thats where he landed with Dr.Thompson. She had to do a second surgery to correct his issues. They kept him several days to make sure things went well. Dr Thompson called me herself every morning to update me. When we were able to bring him home she sent him home with a hard plastic collar. This worked so much better then the soft collar my other vet sent him home with originally. She also gave me a lot of great advice and tips to help him to heal. I am forever grateful to her and her team as they absolutely saved his life giving him a second chance.

We had an amazing experience with this facility from the second we walked through the door! We were greeted promptly and my dog was immediately taken to the back for evaluation. It was a very stressful situation and we were treated with care and understanding, and a very compassionate and professional staff. The doctor spent time with me, no rush job here, to go over everything I needed to know about my pup’s situation, and what I needed to do to help facilitate her recovery. He provided her with a thorough examination and went over my options and didn’t recommend unnecessary tests, like I experienced at another facility a few years back. Just a wonderful, positive experience and I’m so happy I took my dog there. She is doing great, and definitely on the mend! Thank you all!!!

CARE saved my English Bulldogs life !! On June 3rd Louie started regurgitating everything he tried to eat. Thank goodness I took him to CARE after first taking him to another place which sent him home. After being immediately seen and determined he had a Himilayan cheese stick lodged in his esophagus so causing blockage .. he was kept to get it removed. He was in serious danger and could lose his life due to location and damage to esophagus. Dr Hui did the removal and she and the CARE team worked with him for his 8 nights that he stayed with them in ICU. They were absolutely wonderful .. kept me informed, called and discussed his daily plan and care and were open to listening to my concerns. A big thank you to Dr Hui and Becky who were so very kind and caring to Louie.

Yesterday, I had another five-star experience from CARE animal hospital, Charlotte. Our first trip to this place was a few years ago when our dog, Gracie had to have emergency gall bladder surgery. Unfortunately, I had to rush Gracie back yesterday afternoon due to a bleeding corneal ulcer. Dr. J. Broadwater was top-notch, very knowledgeable, caring & compassionate. He assessed Gracie quickly & gave me a thorough diagnosis & a detailed treatment plan. The vet techs were also very kind, caring & gentle with our fragile fur baby. We live in Belmont, NC now & the 40min drive was well worth it!! I cannot say enough good things about this place. Thanks again for always taking such great care of Gracie. You guys are THE BEST!! ~Rob & Monica Gibson & Gracie

Such compassionate, sweet people work here. I had to make the choice to euthanize my boy. At 0500 I had to call because my sweet boy Faraday, my 3 year old rat, had congestive heart failure and the medicine that kept him going finally couldn't keep up. He was wheezing, quit eating and drinking finally, and he couldn't take his medicine. Euthanizing a rat of very different than most animals, so finding a vet that will perform it is nerve wracking. CARE was recommended by both my normal vet. I cannot be back there due to anesthesia use for it, but I felt reassured because an employee there was going to be the comfort person supporting his transition. Thank you for making a difficult decision a little easier.

I can not share enough how much the outstanding staff took care of me, my son, and most importantly, our cat! We came in the day after Thanksgiving thinking we would be leaving without our beloved cat. From the moment we walked in without an appointment, the staff treated us with empathy and urgency. Dr. O’Grady was amazing, explaining all the options for care, with complete objectivity. I am happy to say that not only did Diego go home with us that day, but he has also made almost a full recovery! As far as he is concerned, he has. Don’t believe he notices his head is still a bit tilted from the what most likely was/is vestibular disease. Thanks CARE and Dr. O’Grady for taking such great care of us!

If I could give 0 stars I would. ALL THESE PEOPLE CARE ABOUT IS MONEY!!!!! They could care less about your pet and it truly disgusts me. They lie to you about how much the treatments cost just to get you to agree to it (they know people will pay every cent they have for their babies and know how to get it out of you) they originally told me that it would be $1200 Max and then proceeded to charge me for things that I didn’t agree to. The front desk girls have a horrible attitude and clearly don’t belong in the vet profession at all. If you don’t have any other choice but to bring your pet here, DONT. I will never be back there even if they were my last option. Your animals are better off in your care.

  • Stephanie Jones

If I could give them 5 stars a thousand times over I would! I can’t even begin to explain how pleased we have been with their services. Our dog was in a dire situation that required a specialist (and a much more reasonable price than we were quoted in Winston Salem) and CARES absolutely delivered and then some. They do not price gouge (I was even given a refund of over $800 they didn’t use from my initial deposit for my dogs surgery), they keep you informed (even at 2am!), and they understand that your pet is your baby! We will absolutely drive the almost 2 hours again and again in a heart beat to get their care for our Rosie. She’s worth and the staff and doctors at this facility is 10000% worth it!

Very helpful and understanding staff. They answered the tough questions we had to the best of their ability. Even though they're going curbside care/pickup they made everything feel as caring and personable as possible. They understood the combination of the surgery being too expensive, risk of issue reoccurring, and the strain the invasive surgery would take on our cat were too much for us. They kept him as comfortable as possible until we could come in and say goodbye. Even with COVID-19 they allowed 2 us (people) who wearing masks to come in and hold him while they put him to sleep. Thanks for being so patient while we (my family) took the time to discuss our options during this hard time.

I had to take my 16 yr old cat here on a Sunday evening after he started having seizures. The staff called to the back right when we walked in the front door and they took little Boo to the back and got him sedated. There was nothing they could do to save his life but they were so good to him and us humans through it all. They took us to a quiet room with real furniture and carpet and brought Boo in all wrapped up on a little kitty bed for us to say goodbye. It was the best possible scenario in a very difficult situation. They even have a private door for you to exit the building so you don't have to go blubbering through the main office. Very professional and compassionate staff that night.

My dog got into a bag of cocoa powdered almonds and ate about 2 cups. I called my vet on Saturday, who referred my to CARE. I called CARE and they suggested I bring him in to pump his stomach. The person who answered the phone was polite and quick. He created an account for me and told me how to proceed. When I arrived at the facility, it was clear to park and call. A staff member came out within 5 minutes and took my dog to treat him. In all, it took about 20 minutes from start to finish. I thought the staff was friendly, responsive, and extremely helpful. I was fully expecting to be waiting for hours. They exceeded all of my expectations. Thanks to Dr. Kelly Lang and the rest of the staff.

I almost feel bad leaving a great review because I feel like CARE’s accessibility and reputation has put them at capacity and resources may be stretched… but even with a long wait time, my interaction with them Friday evening after my fur baby was attacked by another dog were top notch. It’s clear that they care about their fur baby patients and their guardians. Appreciate the kindness we received from CARE during a stressful event. They listened attentively to a stressed out dog mom, and they clearly knew not only their craft but also about alternative animal care options within the community (when my — thankfully — fairly stable pup wasn’t able to be seen right away). Thank you, CARE!

As a suggestion for the staff: we brought our cat in for euthanasia and they have a mourning room for this process. The intent and purpose of this difficult process was kind, however, as we were crying and preparing for our final goodbyes to our cat, we could hear staff behind the doors talking and laughing. I understand life goes on and things happen in the back with staff and other animals and the staff wasn't intentionally being insensitive. But I'm not sure if there are signs posted in the back office to inform them that there are people in the mourning room grieving and to be mindful and to lower voices if possible. Losing a pet family is just as hard as losing a human. Thank you.

The BEST experience EVER! I can't thank Dr. Stephen, Dr. Lang, Nurse Brandon and everyone else at CARE enough for taking such stellar care of my little Dachshund, Savannah! She had a herniated disc that was effecting her back left leg and she could not walk on it. After a week of trying to improve her situation with meds, she was not responding, surgery was the next option. Dr. Stephen tried her best to cure Savannah with meds but unfortunately my little Savannah was one of the dogs who did not respond. Almost 4 weeks after surgery, my little Savannah is back to her normal, happy, fun self and has fully recovered. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for helping my little girl!!

  • Kelly Langston

This is a top-notch facility offering compassionate and efficient care. The staff met us upon arrival, asked questions and explained the care that my shih tzu would receive. The facility was clean and provided the high-level service my dog required. The vet met with me after the exam and took a good amount of time explaining everything, including the medications and what to expect, and how to care for my dog's needs. They followed up quickly via email with a detailed list of instructions and a diagnosis. A few days later, the vet again called me personally to check on my dog. I can't say enough about how much I appreciated the great care we receive. Highly recommended!!!

While I wish we did not have to use CARE Neuology at all, we unfortunately had to bring our 7 yo beagle, Daisy to be assessed by the Neurology team. Daisy had to have a repair of a ruptured cervical disc. Dr. Wininger, Dr. Meiman, Jackie, and the entire team from the front desk to all of the Vet Techs were compassionate and highly skilled. The entire experience was phenomenal. After her surgery I had several questions on a Saturday night and one of the Techs got back to me right away. The care and service was so appreciated during this very stressful time. Daisy is doing great and we could not be more pleased with our experience!!! I just wish they were in Hickory :)

  • Katie Moore (Katie)

I took my pug Julio to see Dr Fred Wininger on the strong recommendation of our trusted Vet. He was having isolated, "shaking," episodes that had previously been diagnosed as a spinal nerve issue. Fred was extremely thorough and when Julio did not react well to his new medication, he walked us through each step with patience. I am very impressed with both his knowledge base and love for animals. I would highly recommend him for any neurologic or neurosurgical issues with your animals. I also found the Team at CARE to be responsive, knowledgeable and overall just easy to work with. I know my pug is taken care of and loved there!

  • Megan Avantini

I can’t recommend CARE enough! My husband and I took our 8 year old Miniature Pincher here Monday evening (called ahead and they were waiting for us upon arrival) for an emergency situation. They were very transparent on costs and communication during every step of the way. All the doctors we interacted with (during 3 days of critical care) were thorough and so nice and understanding! We picked up our dog today and even had to call to get opinion/advice on our dog and they helped us through it. They made us feel so comfortable during one of the most stressful times - thank you CARE! You have no idea how thankful we are.

  • Jill S

After my dog was attacked by another dog on a Sunday, I was turned down from two other ERS (both busy) and sent to Care. Yes, I had a long wait but they explained exactly WHY my wait was long and offered water, tea, snacks, etc. After waiting for a long time, they took my dog overnight free of charge to treat him when they had the time. I can’t thank Care enough. They treated my dog so well. Great vet. Great staff. To other patients- be prepared to be PATIENT. Yes, I waited 6 hours but my dog with a lacerated ear isn’t going to prioritized over a dog in cardiac arrest. They prioritize according to risk, as they should.

  • Celia E. Trivette

Dr. Campbell is awesome. We had given up all hope, but after talking with her, we feel like we may still have some good time left with our old girl. Dr. Campbell is one of those rare doctors who you can tell really cares about her patients rather than seeing them as a dollar sign or just another statistic. Her tech, Amber, was super sweet, knowledgeable about all of the treatment options, and our dog loved her. I think we can all agree that ER and specialist vet clinics are typically a nightmare, but if everyone at the office is as amazing as these two, you can absolutely trust that your pet will be well taken care of.

  • Hope Marshall

DR Gunstra and the CARE Charlotte team are the best in canine emergency and specialties. My pup, my family and I were well informed and guided through a hemangiosarcoma and amputation. The warth and empathy eased the fears and let me know we were in the right place. Then, Dr Campbell in Oncology gave me all of the options, pros and cons, life expectancies, etc. She let me go at my own pace but also gently let me know I needed to decide soon. I would not hesitate to make all of the same decisions as I did and have thus far. I recommend this group to anyone needing specialty care for their beloved family members.

Meant to leave a review ealier but the neurology department is excellent. I had been fighting for about a year to get a diagnosis for my cat who is experiencing hindquarter paralysis. We were eventually referred to CARE who finally found us some leads. She was immediately put on medication to help fight the symptoms and narrow down a diagnosis. I was very thankful to have a treatment plan after so long without answers. Everyone I spoke to listened to my concerns and made my pet feel comfortable. The vets have been honest and attentive. She just had another follow up today and the prognosis is encouraging.

From the time I, a stranger to the practice, called in tears very early in the morning, I received incredibly kind and valuable care. Anna took my call and arranged for our arrival some eight hours later after a long drive from out of state. Jackie greeted me in the lobby on our recheck with blood results from California confirming the diagnosis and shared joy over seeing my dog standing on his own four legs after having initially entered in a wagon. Dr. Wininger was a brilliant lifesaver and achieved results that are right next to miraculous. Bless these folks!! They will have our eternal gratitude.

  • Danielle Dede

My favorite vet that I've seen in three cities and two states. They explained everything about her lymphoma treatment, beforehand and along the way. They entertained questions and had a very knowledgeable staff whether it was their customer service rep, their techs, or their physicians. I'm so grateful for the drop-off option which allowed me to get her treatment done and pick her up after work. It was the icing on top that they would send me pictures and updates about my Coco hanging out around the office with them. Couldn't have asked for a better team to be with Coco and help her along the way. ❤️

  • Olivia Caughey

I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Campbell and the entire staff at CARE. My pup got diagnosed with cancer in April and my whole world turned upside down, she has been my best friend for 14 years. When we arrived at CARE, they clearly explained all the scenarios and answered any questions we had. They were always so kind at each of her appointment and began to know her name by the sight of her! She has successfully finished her chemo and we could not be happier with her treatment from CARE. The day she finished, they gave her a little celebration costume, which she despised but we loved!

  • Kim M

I want to thank the staff and Dr. Thompson for saving my 11 month old puppy’s life who swallowed a tennis ball that expanded back in her stomach. Her recovery was remarkable with no complications and her incision healed perfectly. The hospital is clean , and the staff are patient and kind. I also want to thank the emergency Dr. Who tended to Wylie while we were there and came out to keep us updated on progress at every step. oh and thank you so much for trimming her nails while she was under ! A small gesture of kindness, but we cannot get near her with a nail clipper so thank you

  • Kara Thompson

Can’t say enough good things about the quality of service received here! The staff is fantastic, attentive, knowledgeable, patient, and everything you would want in an emergency situation or any situation with your pet. My dachshund was diagnosed tentatively by his regular vet with IVDD. I brought him in through emergency services and even though they were on a full schedule they still got his MRI and surgery done the same day. They kept me up to date and answered all my phone calls step by step through the process. They always made me feel like my dog and I were very important to them.

  • Sara Robinson

My senior dog just had a 3 night hospital stay here for kidney issues. It was a horrible scary week for me, but the entire staff at CARE was seriously amazing through it all. Everyone is so friendly and for being a busy emergency vet, I was impressed at how efficient and quick everything was. I received twice daily updates exactly when they said I would. I could tell my dog got the absolute best care and the staff really loved and cared for her! Thank you to Dr. Rhodes and the ER team along with Dr. Bostrom and the internal medicine team for being so awesome and saving my girl’s life!!

  • Sierra Smith

I adopted my Maxwell (cat) 8 years ago. He was more than a pet, but my best friend and my family. On August 15th, he took his wings and went to rainbow row. The staff that night, from the front desk, vet techs and the veterinarian took care of my beloved cat with so much care. He had to be put to sleep that night. I wasn't ready to let him go but it was his time.I just want to thank everyone with my heart that he was treated with so much kindness towards his last hours here physically. Thank you so much and please continue to be present for the animals that are in need of help.

  • Susan Williams

I recently had an excellent experience at the CARE Clinic and wanted to share. My regular vet (Cotswold Animal Hospital) had done all they could to help my sweet pup Ella, and were able to assist in us getting in quickly to see a neurologist at the CARE Clinic. The team was able to not only put me at ease but also to do an MRI followed by surgery within a few hours. I picked her up the next day and aside from getting a stink eye and attitude for leaving here there, she was in great shape! She has healed beautifully and is great spirits! A huge thanks to Dr. Wininger and team!

  • Brianna Farrelly

By far the best emergency and specialty hospital! We’ve been here for a little over a year and we had a bad experience at one not too long ago so I was a little reluctant on coming here. From the beginning, the whole team was communicative on the status of our baby girl with morning and evening updates. They didn’t run unnecessary tests like some places have, listened to all my concerns, and made sure to send her home when they knew she would be ready and not try and force her out. I am forever grateful for the team and will be recommending everyone to them for any service.

  • Dana Winston

Highly recommend!!! All the doctors at Care are amazing. Past couple of years they have been amazing to my Roscoe. He started having seizures I took him to a closer er vet and they just sent him home to watch. My vet referred me to Care because something was wasn’t right. After many test he had a disease that needed treatment ASAP to help save his life. If I had listened to the other er vet he wouldn’t be here today. Neurology, Oncology and the ER department have given him the best care possible and he is here today because of them. I can’t thank them enough.

  • Tyler McBride

The people at CARE are very friendly and have done a great job with our dog whenever we have had issues. Their pricing has always been steep but it is an emergency vet. We took our dog in recently and they still have not re-opened their waiting room. It was 91 degrees outside and we had to wait in our car for 3 hours between waiting for our dog to be seen and while he was being examined. We would have happily worn masks to be able to sit inside their waiting room. This is unacceptable it is still closed and people are expected to wait in their car for hours.

  • Leslie Lemley

Had an orphaned 2-3 week old kitten that had been alone approximately 6 days. I was able to warm the kitten and give a little formula however it had a large amount of discharge coming from it's eyes. Went to CARE after not being helped at another emergency clinic. Tech was very pleasant, caring and immediately took the kitten and helped the little guy. When we checked out we had everything we needed. I have used CARE in the past and go there for specialist so should have went there first even though it was a bit farther from location kitten was found.

  • Megan Reed

We have spent a lot of time at CARE the last four months as our pup Mac was diagnosed with cancer. When he came in initially, back in June with a ruptured tumor, CARE saved his life. While his prognosis was grim, he made it longer than we expected with the help of the CARE team. We had ER visits, oncology visits, cardiology visits and overall, the team was very helpful and supportive. We are devastated that ultimately we had to put Mac to rest but grateful for the additional time we received with him.

  • Maria Martinez

I highly recommend this place! My puppy was diagnosed with IVDD so I rushed him to the emergency vet where he was taken in for surgery the next day. And now almost 3 weeks later my Oliver is recovering so fast. All of their vets and nurses are kind and they understand our pain and concern that it is to have a sick puppy. I loved that while Oliver was hospitalized they updated me with how he was recuperating and they were kind and enough to send me photos of him to ease my pain.

  • Sharon Smith

My two year old Rotty has been dealing with cluster seizures. The staff, vets, neurologist and everyone has been great. They are working with me to get his seizures under control and take the time to explain the process. Although we are still working on it I am hopeful that a solution is close. They listen to your concerns, provide you all the information you need to make an informed decision and they really care. I am gratefully that I was referred here. Thanks so much!!!

  • Ashlan Jones

CARE took great care of our cat when we brought her in for emergency care last week. She was hospitalized for two nights and the whole time she was there, the CARE team was great about communicating the treatment plan, how she was doing, and what we could expect in terms of cost. Since she’s been home, they have been very thorough and patient with answering follow-up questions that we’ve had. CARE will definitely be our go-to emergency vet in Charlotte moving forward!

  • Katie Akrop DeSantis

We had the experience every pet parent dreads when our healthy boy suddenly fell very ill. We took him to CARE and I cannot tell you how wonderful they all were. So communicative through all hours of the day and night, detailed and thorough explanations and they truly truly care and understand all the emotions of a pet parent. Our Morgan Freeman was in the best of hands and because of the amazing doctors and staff we were able to be with him. Highly recommend.

  • Nancy Colwell

I brought my cat in at the suggestion of my regular vet because he has been experiencing oral issues and hadn't eaten in 5 days. We were fearful he would not last much longer. The care and treatment he received from Dr. Shaw and staff no doubt saved his life. I am so grateful to them and the high level of service and professionalism from the minute I arrived to the minute I left. What a comfort to know a facility of this caliber exists for our fur babies.

  • Chris L

My dog’s regular veterinarian referred us here for a same-day visit. Dr. Nolan Shaw was so compassionate in delivering a difficult diagnosis, discussing our options, and taking the time to answer my questions. The facility is clean and welcoming, and every staff member we encountered was pleasant and professional. The experience made a sad, stressful day a bit more bearable for our family. Grateful to know the practice is nearby and open 24/7.

  • Cynthia Perry (Oldlady60)

Dr. Kelly Long and the staff that assisted me with my cat Maxx who was extremely empathic when the decision was made to euthanize him. My baby was sick and I wished he could tell me. His God mother Colleen O'sullivan, was very distraught upon hearing the news. He was an awesome comforter to me for the 2 years my rescue was entrusted to me. It hurt deeply. However, knowing he is not suffering really does my heart good and comforts me.

  • Evan Krueger

We unfortunately had to use their emergency veterinary services this past week for our 9 year old dog. He was in a lot of pain and they made sure to get him in quick. The news wasn’t great, and the doctor did an AMAZING job of giving us all of our options and respected our privacy in having to make the decision. It was one of the worst nights of my life, but they made it a little bit easier and I can’t thank them enough!

  • Jill Carlson

Inefficient and ineffective. Front desk staff hangs out while you wait hours in the waiting room with no updates. The only reason to come is because there are no other 24 hr options you can find. 5 hours and $150 for an initial exam and then did X-rays before even checking in for a few hundred more. By the time your doctor sees you at the emergency vet your normal vet office is probably open. Wasn’t even a busy day.

  • Marriott Loret

It was heartbreaking getting the news about our kitty and how sick he was. Situation was so traumatic but the care and understanding that these doctors and their staff showed our family in our time of need was exceptional. They took care of our baby and gave us all the information and time to make the best decision for him. I cannot think them enough. Please take your babies here if you have any kind of emergency.

  • Alix Powell

All they "CARE" about is money. They are holding my pet prescription refill hostage over a visit I have told them I cannot afford. All I need are her medications. They've put her on medications that will KILL her if stopped, that's oaky with them. They have lied saying it was illegal to refill her meds without excessively regular visits that have never changed her prognosis. It's all about their bottom line.

  • Ernie Ferland

WOW, The best experience ever at this clinic! Night and Day difference between here and a 24 emergency clinic in Stallings. My vets put in a referral for us to be seen there. I had a call from them that day. I can't say enough on how polite, caring everyone was. From the people checking you in to the associates in the back. They went above and beyond for my dog. Thank you all for top notch customer service!

  • Nicolette Jacobsen

We cannot thank Dr. Fred and the entire CARE team enough for the attention and care they gave our Sawyer. He had to have emergency back surgery and they didn’t skip a beat. Had we listened to the first specialist we spoke with at another office our boy could have very well become paralyzed. Again, the peace of mind and genuine care they showed us is something we will forever be thankful for❤️

  • Laurie Dolniak

Our vet recommended Care for our 3 yr. old pittie who needed TPLO surgery for a torn ACL. It was a great experience start to finish. Dr. Thompson is brilliant, and not only did the surgery go smoothly, but she was so insightful and helpful getting us through the aftercare with confidence. The whole staff is very caring and supportive. Highly recommended if your fur baby needs a specialist.

  • Jennifer Davis

From the first phone call to CARE, I knew I had made the right choice to take my sweet girl to CARE. Although we lost our girl, they were so compassionate and caring for her. It made the nightmare of losing our girl a little easier to take. If you can’t get to your trusted vet, I 100% would go here again. Thank you for your compassion and understanding. CARE is amazing!

  • AC

Hands down The best service I have received at any veterinarian. Had to leave my dog overnight unexpectedly and within all that panic they made sure I was informed & updated on his condition the entire way. Even calling to check in several days later. Very impressed with the good people here, would recommend to anyone with a pet in Charlotte, please come to Miami!

  • D. Paul Hicks

We brought our dog Izzy in to CARE for a surgical consultation regarding elbow dysplasia. She has significant anxiety about seeing any vet but Izzy and Sam (receptionist) recognized each other right away from another visit early this year. They were so cute! Having a friend there was a great help for Izzy. Everyone was so patient and considerate. Thanks to all.

  • Lisa Jones

Heroes...That is what I call them . Dr. Campbell and Dr. Dvorak and everyone at CARE helped my Cami fight cancer and when it was my turn they offered me so much support. Yes, you read that right. My cat got cancer then I did. We fought it together and that would not have been possible without the wonderful folks at CARE. Here she is...my hero...

  • Daniel Clark Cunningham

CARE is a wonderful place. Dr. Rosenberg is the most compassionate Vet I have ever met. Sadly our dog Abby has crossed the rainbow bridge. The transition process is always difficult but the staff at CARE did a wonderful job. They even sent a sympathy card and made donation in Abby names to help families with financially with vet bills.

  • Emily Molloy

The CARE team took fantastic care of our dog during a very stressful time. They immediately diagnosed his ailment, began treatment immediately, kept us updated and kept him comfortable and feeling the love during the 2 days he was with them. They are knowledgeable, caring and kind. I couldn’t recommend CARE more.

  • David Snyder

We had a Bouvier with rapidly deteriorating physical conditions. Dr Wininger did an MRI and determined that it was a serious brain tumor. He calmly gave us the options, and then was very supportive of our decision to let our dog go. He was kind, empathetic and consoling as we did what had to be done. Thank you.
