Wonderful facility and staff! I cannot say enough! They saved my baby’s life when I chose to transfer him here from another emergency vet who told me that there was less than a 50% chance of survival from his episode due to a portosystemic liver shunt and all they could do was give him fluids and monitor him. I asked if I could be with him while they were giving him the fluids and they told me no, so I decided he was not going to die in a cold bright loud strange room, but at home with me in my arms, that’s when they told me about VEG. I called them and was immediately told I could stay with him and was able to speak with a vet about what was going on. The knowledge and skill of the vets, nurses and techs was outstanding. The care shown by all is out of this world! There was NEVER a mention of “chance of survival” or euthanasia, but only optimism and plans for care. They were quickly able to figure out from simple bloodwork that he had another issue going on that was easily treatable and was exasperating the first. The other vet completely missed this. It made a huge difference that I was able to stay with my baby and be involved in his care, for them to ask me about what types of actions were normal for him and reacted quickly when I noticed something was off. We successfully got all of his levels back to normal and brought him home less than 24 hours after arriving! I will never go anywhere else in an emergency and will recommend to all! Please open a facility in Kings Mountain NC!
If you're frantically searching for the best emergency vet and scrolling through reviews, stop reading and head to VEG Charlotte! Our pup Ace needed emergency care after ingesting multiple socks, and I'm so glad we chose VEG. Dr. Morrison and the vet nurses, Anthony, Megan, and Kaitlyn, were incredibly caring and attentive, making us feel at ease during a stressful time. Everyone we interacted with was absolutely fantastic. They provided excellent care to our sweet boy and went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable too. It's clear that the team has an impressive synergy that creates a positive atmosphere. Aside from the professionalism, compassion, and attentiveness, you can tell that everyone is collaborative and loves what they do, which completely elevated our experience. To round everything out, I had a quick inquiry after our visit and the response time from the Medical Director, Ashley was super fast. She and her team really care about the health and wellness of the fur kids they tend to every day. Thanks to the overnight care provided by the team, Ace was able to avoid potential surgery this morning. He passed the sock shortly after we got home and is doing very well. Best April Fool's joke ever...thanks, Ace! Again, I can't say enough how much we appreciated the team and level of care at VEG. While I hope we don't have to go back any time soon, they will definitely be our go-to if one of our pups needs emergency care. Big thanks to everyone!
Early this morning, I was told that Bun Bun organs were shutting down and would probably die today. I was advised to get him euthanasia. My son had bathed him without my permission and didn't dry him all the way. He was cold and not moving too much. We tried to warm him up at home. I became worried and got a referral to this place. I had to drive from Kernersville to Charlotte. I spoke to them over the phone and even did the pre check in. The medical team was nice, but I don't think they knew how to treat bunnies, and they should have just said that. It was a group of them. His heart rate was 80 when we got there 40 when we left. I didn't see these vital signs, but this was told to me. I decided to bring him home so my kids could say goodbye. When we got home after 3 am. Bun Bun was up and warm. I will say this experience has taught me to make some adjustments with his care. During this process when I was told the bad news. They made sure I paid the deposit. I was told I will be refunded 120 dollars back on my card. I don't know if they were ever able to get an IV in him. They did put some warm water glove in the box i brought to make him comfortable. I am just glad I didn't listen to them. I don't trust Vets after this. I need to be refunded more of my money to be honest. The pictures and video I added are of this morning. Update the director did call and was very pleasant. I do appreciate that.
If you live in or near Charlotte, have an immensely close relationship with your pet and God forbid you ever need this service—VEG is the only option. They are truly angels on Earth for what they can do. We were with our ailing 14 year old best friend the entire time we were there, we never left his side, and he never felt alone or scared. The veterinary emergency doctors, internists, nurses and techs are highly trained and so kind. They treated our dog like the king that he is. They knew exactly what they were doing, and gave us everything they had. They provided calm, informed answers, options and immense patience through the most horrifying process of our life. Thank you to everyone from the front desk who received the called from urgent clinic to the internist who diagnosed our poor boy. I want to especially thank the compassionate and wonderful Dr. Juan and Kori. You two made my boy’s last hours the most comfortable they could be. Thank you for talking everything through with us multiple times, crying with us, loving him like your own. Despite the pain we are suffering from losing him, we couldn’t have asked for a more thorough, respectful and supportive experience for our best friend of 14 years. In memory of Bentley ️ 12/28/09-12/10/23
If I could give this animal emergency hospital a 10 star I would. I was referred by my vet to bring my dog here for several medical issues that required additional testing that my vet was unable to provide. I was greeted at the door by staff and my dog was brought into the facility quickly and immediately looked at by a team of very experienced and knowledgeable people. I was allowed to remain inside the room while they examined her, took information and added it to her chart that contained information already in the computer that they received from my vet. Within 10 minutes she was comfortable and in the oxygen tank. I remained there for several hours and was constantly updated and made to feel comfortable while my dog was being treated. This is like no other emergency hospital I have ever been to. It is very clean as expected but the fact that I could be part of the exam and continued treatment is so amazing. The staff are kind , caring and are very informative! Thank you Kate,Morgan ,Dr Morrison , Danny, Dr Nuwer, Dr Sites and all the other staff. You are all warriors and I have the most amount of respect for you all . There is a special place in heaven for you all. On behalf of Bella Thank you !! ❤️❤️❤️
If I could give VEG 1million stars I would. This is an open environment where you can see/hear what treatment your pet is getting in real time. When you call for an update you will speak to an actually DR who knows your pet and can speak to the care they are getting. They were literally willing to do anything we asked to keep our Guinevere alive and even thought outside the box to give her every chance to live. All of the techs were engaged and treated our kitten like one of their own. We even saw learning from other team happen real time. This is a unique place that other VET clinics should be modeled after. Even at the end when we thought there was nothing left to do Dr Gray said let’s just give her a chance and see.. Thank you to Dr Hahn, Dr Keffer, Dr Gray, Dr Sites and all of the AMAZING staff… #GwenEvil for sure cashed in one of her 9 lives but is alive and almost back to her little evil kitty self today. Lastly, sadly budgets are real when it comes to pets. They are honest about costs and fair. It’s a 24hr VET but the care is stellar.
Our kitty Gwen was gravely ill, and on death’s doorstep when we brought her in. While we never figured out what exactly made her sick, the team at VEG worked tirelessly to nurse her back to health. We were faced with difficult decisions, and they just kept coming up with options. Gwen may have cashed in one of her 9 lives, but thanks to VEG, she still has 8 to go! I really don’t believe she’d be here if it hadn’t been for the miraculous care they gave. We love that when we called, we always got to talk to the vet. We loved the open care area so we could comfort our kitty while she was being treated. We love how they cared not only for our pet, but the whole family. It was like Gwen was one of their own pets. Thanks to the entire staff. There were so many that helped, I cannot remember all of their names. Thanks to the veterinarians , Dr. Hahn, Dr. Keffer (who took on the daunting task of inserting chest tubes), Dr. Sites, and Dr Gray (who never gave up hope). We cannot express how grateful we are.
10+ stars all the way! Vets, techs, nurses, front desk and security were all amazing. They saved my baby’s life while letting me be right there the whole time, listening and answering any questions I had. I never once felt like I was bothering them, they all seemed like family even 5 minutes after walking through the door. Very knowledgeable, I saw them work many different situations in the 24 hours I was there and oh my gosh, the care they showed - to the owners, the pets, the extra love they gave to the ones who’s owners couldn’t stay. I feel that it made a huge difference in the outcome for my little guy with me being there to hold him, talk to him and comfort him through the night. Love the open concept, we’ll never go anywhere else. Pic when he got to feeling a little better and was getting a bit of his chihuahua spice back, he earned a “I’m Spicy” badge on his cage lol!
my cat started showing signs of not being able to pee and we had taken him to the urgent care but they told us to send him to a vet hospital right away. it was 9pm at night and nobody could take us in…we tried a couple of places but nobody was available at that time. As soon as we called VEG they were so friendly and took us in right away. they were so kind & sweet from the moment we walked in there & I instantly felt better. I know this was a place my cat was going to be cared for & loved. I love that they let you visit your animal anytime and for however long. it’s a special thing that not a lot of places allow. I will never forget how amazing this experience was even through one of the hardest weekends of my life! the staff was so lovely from the receptionists to the doctors in the back. You need to go to VEG if your animal needs it I highly recommend :)
I called VEG at 2:30 in the morning after my sweet golden doodle Finn had an unexpected seizure. It was terrifying and I had no idea what to do. I was on the phone with a doctor within moments and she did a great job walking me through it. Early the next morning we brought him in to be checked out and received amazing care. We were seen immediately and had numerous people helping us throughout the appointment. I have been to other emergency vets and waited LONG periods of time with no communication. This was the opposite experience. Special thanks to Nurse Megan, to Katie and to Dr. Madison Sites who provided care to Finn. We have now been to this clinic three times (once for a bad respiratory infection and twice for seizures) and I have always left there feeling like my dog is getting the best possible emergency care. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
I was amazed by what an easy and helpful experience I had. I expected a long wait and for things to take awhile but the doctor and his wonderful nursing staff took such good care of my dog in a swift and efficient visit. I felt like my dog was in great hands. Everyone was caring and kind, even when my dog threw up all over the floor. They made her comfortable right away and she was able to walk out looking so much better than when she came in. Then when I had to call back with questions regarding her changing systems the doctor provided a thorough explanation of what was happening, provided a new medication, and made me feel so reassured that she was in good hands. Thank you guys so much. You all will be my go to place in any pet emergency and I will recommend to all my friends with pets.
I truly have never had a vet experience quite like this. My pup needed to stay overnight after a pretty gnarly complication from his neuter the day prior, and everyone at VEG was compassionate, kind, involved, and just overall made me feel like Hank was in the best hands. Special thanks to Jose, who got me involved with Hank's intro examination by showing me how to hold him while they drew blood, checked his vitals, etc. It's just so nice to not have your pet whisked away into a back room for all sorts of procedures that you know nothing about! Everyone at VEG walks the line between validating your concerns while reassuring you that everything will be okay with such grace and compassion. Hopefully we never have to be back, but in the case of emergency, this is the place to be!
I cannot express enough how amazing the team at VEG South Park were. My lab went in and even though it was incredibly busy on a Thursday night they took his vitals right away. I didn’t wait long for them to complete the X-rays and bloodwork. They determined his illness and gave me options. He stayed overnight and then came home. Unfortunately he regressed and I made the decision with the doctor’s help to relieve his pain and put him to sleep. I was of course a mess during this and they were the most compassionate and caring group I’ve ever encountered. I wish I could have had individuals like that for my general vet. Yes, it is expensive, but that’s emergency medicine. I will forever suggest people go there if they have an emergency. Thank you so much VEG South Park!
I brought my dog in for a cut where I was unsure whether she needed stitches or not — we were accepted in and triaged with a nurse immediately. There were several other true emergency cases at the time so I was expecting to wait — regardless, the Vet was able to get to us in less than an hour when she had some free time between a few critical patients, and even during the short and reasonable wait, the nurses stayed in contact and even apologized for the wait (no need for that!). It’s never fun to have to take your animal to the emergency vet, but I was impressed by their overall service and communication during the visit. While I hope to not have to come back, I wouldn’t hesitate to bring one of my pets here, or recommend it to anyone else!
We had such an amazing experience at VEG. From the open layout and encouraged participation of care with our pet, the experience was much different than a typical vet’s office, in all of the best ways. Our dog was having digestive issues and was seen immediately when we brought him in. The staff were incredibly kind and patient with him, especially because he can be skittish with new people. The detailed plan of care and itemized breakdown of costs put me at ease for his treatment. They even worked with our schedule when he needed to be kept at the office, as we had to participate a wedding that day! I cannot say enough about VEG. In an emergency for our pets, we’ll be going nowhere else. Thank you again!!
I took my Guinea pig here and unfortunately he did have his final moments, but the doctors and tech were so supportive and helpful to me regarding the situation and his passing. They provided him with great care and frequent check-ups on me regarding his final moments. Very professional and personable and supportive during a hard time I had. They were also very quick and responsive and as they were checking on him, they would tell me step by step what they were doing and what was wrong. They provided multiple options of care but ultimately decided that putting him down was the best option due to the severity of his health. If you have any emergency this vet seems the best for exotic and non exotic animals.
This is the most amazing and unique emergency vet clinics I’ve ever been to! The open concept, the treatment of the animals and their humans, the references to things to make them more “homey” such as calling cages “homes” etc. and calling the pets family members. You are allowed to hold and participate in the treatment as much or as little as you wish, open door policy and I was even allowed to get into my fur baby’s “home” with her! I could go on and on but I will never go anywhere else and will recommend to anyone with a beloved pet! Alleviated my “baby” and my stress during a scary and stressful illness. Not even one wimper or anxiety shiver from my for baby! Even offered me refreshments! Love! Love!
I brought my dutch shepherd into the Charlotte VEG location and am so pleased. I typically am hesitant and not very happy to go to any emergency vet clinic, but VEG went above and beyond my expectations. All of the staff was kind, patient, and very understanding of my dog and her breed characteristics. I am a helicopter mom through and through and the doctor was able to help calm my nerves about my dog over the phone. I arrived at the clinic and was immediately taken into a room per my request, was never separated from my dog, and was able to participate in the health assessment. Turns out my dog is fine, but I have no regrets about bringing her into VEG. I cannot recommend them enough!
Emergency. First time visit...recommended by our regular vet who was very concerned but too overbooked to see our cat. Busy place...several dogs also being seen. Everyone on staff was very compassionate and caring to both pet and family. I really applaud their expertise dealing with my cat's swallowed object concern. Emergency care is not inexpensive, but, we received hands-on quality care without being pressured. Waited about 1 minute before being placed in treatment room, and maybe 3 minutes before the doctor arrived. Spent about two hours total, and were not pressured to leave until my pet was stable and clearly ready to travel. I'd go back without reservation and recommend them.
Called at 3 am in the morning after my one year old puppy was showing some concerning symptoms. They told me to come on in and the staff took her in right away and started checking her out and figuring out what was wrong. Everybody was very friendly and took great care of my pup. They nursed her back to health throughout the day and kept me updated throughout the day with texts and calls. I also liked that I was welcomed to come in at any point of the day to check in on her if I wanted. Can’t recommend this place enough if you are in an emergency situation with your pet. Hopefully we will not need to go back to an emergency vet, but if we do I will definitely be taking my dog here.
So pleased with my experience here thus far. My cat is a beast at the vet, but also is very trusting of me. This team has embraced that and allowed me to be there to help make his experience less stressful. The communication has been wonderful, and I love that they have emailed/texted me all of the paperwork to keep me in the loop. While I hope you never have to take your pet to an emergency vet, if you do VEG is the spot!! Also want to shout out Kayli. Walking in today for the second day she immediately recognized us and made us feel so comfortable. She is confident with even the most scary cat. So so glad to have come here and received the best support in such a stressful time.
The staff and facility here are amazing. I would highly recommend VEG to anyone in need of an emergency vet. As unpleasant as it is to need to visit the ER with your pet; they made the experience the best it could be. Even though it was a very busy day, every single person working at VEG made sure our pets needs were met and we were updated when we would be waiting. Everyone was thoughtful, thorough and informative. We really appreciated being able to follow our dog to see X-rays and be there for her examination and be included in all parts of her care. Their open door policy and their quick response to answer the phone made it easier when we had to leave our dog overnight.
Thank you so much to Dr Huff, Meagan, and the whole team at VEG South Park! I brought my sick dog in and we were able to be seen/cared for right away. I was so relieved and I had no doubts that they were able to provide the highest level of care. They seamlessly communicated with my general practice Vet to create a treatment plan and I enjoyed their open office set-up so I could stay by my boy's side as he received care. From the friendly gentleman who greeted us at the front door, to the doctors and techs, everyone was extremely helpful, prompt, professional, and positive throughout my entire visit. Thank you to VEG South Park!
Nothing but amazing things to say about this place. The staff is so caring and kind. They saved my puppy when he had the flu that turned into pneumonia. They made an extremely stressful time much more bearable. All the doctors and techs were available to answer questions at any point, and the open concept allowed for us to visit him often during the day or night. I have already recommended this emergency vet to everyone I know, and won’t hesitate to bring my puppy back again if another issue ever occurs. They also followed up a week later to check on how he was doing post discharge which was very comforting!
I cannot thank the VEG team enough for taking such great care of my Roxy girl. Roxy and I found ourselves here on Christmas Eve after a dog bit her at the boarding camp. The situation was very scary and frustrating not being able to comfort Roxy. But the VEG team was very understanding and patient. They were very urgent and gentle with her. They explained everything they were doing and gave me the chance to be with her every step of the way. Thank you to Dr. Gallon, Dr. Tyler and Dr. Hough for everything, as well as the VEG staff! (I can't recall the names of the nurses, but they were all so great!)
Had a great experience with VEG after we were unable to see our family vet for a gnarly paw/nail injury. Savannah and Elizabeth were great with my pup and Dr. Nuwer’s assessment was quick and thorough. We had a care plan in writing within minutes and received a thorough and efficient explanation of the meds and procedures we would be dealing with. Of course we are not hoping to return any time soon, but it is a great comfort to know that we have such a kind, caring vet emergency team so close to home. Many thanks to the whole staff for making a stressful experience as easy on us as possible.
My 5mo puppy and I visited on a Saturday late afternoon with a snake bite and it was the best experience for an emergency vet visit I could have asked for. Everyone was kind, professional, and knowledgeable. We were immediately seen and evaluated. Our doctor was knowledgeable and explained the threat of a snake bite, the routes of treatment and the reasons behind every choice thoroughly and in terms that were easy to understand. The whole team showed my puppy the best love and attention that I could have ever asked for. We are grateful to the Saturday night team at VEG for a speedy recovery!
I unfortunately had to make a stop at VEG tonight for my puppy. I had called beforehand and both the receptionist and the doctor were very helpful answering my questions about my puppy’s symptoms before we arrived. When we arrived, the receptionists were warm and welcoming and ensured we were seen by a vet tech right away. My pup ended up being just fine before even seeing the vet, but doctor Pertillo (I might have her name wrong) communicated with me ahead of time and assured me he would be seen ASAP. I will definitely bring my dog back here should there be another emergency. Thank you!!
VEG Charlotte is a place I’m very grateful for! The staff are friendly, kind, and professional and I was able to stay with my cat Jasper throughout the process. I felt that the vet techs, vet nurses and vets cared for Jasper as if he were their own. The vets take time to explain issues and options and I could stay with Jasper the whole time, even during his procedure. Thanks to VEG, we were able to remove a 14” ribbon gently with minimal issues for Jasper, and it could have gone very differently. I appreciate this practice and I’m glad to know they’re here when one of my pets needs them!
My 5 month old golden puppy swallowed a LONG bully stick and was showing signs of discomfort and heavy breathing. I took him to VEG and their team quickly made a plan for Scout. They were able to see exactly where the bully stick was with an X-Ray and decide to induce vomiting. Within minutes Scout was able to throw up the bully stick and gain some comfort. I am so thankful for their team and was so impressed with the quality of their service. I know that Scout was in great hands and I will recommend VEG to anyone with a pup! Thank you so so much for your help & AVOID BULLY STICKS.
We had to rush my cat in on Thursday evening due to a sudden decline in her health. Dr. Keffer and our nurse, Katie, were phenomenal. They did everything they possibly could have for our girl. Unfortunately, we did have to let our Dixie girl cross the rainbow bridge, but the staff at VEG made sure that she and us were comfortable during her transition. It is apparent that this is what Katie is meant to do in this world. Her kindness and compassion during this time did not go unnoticed. Thank you to the entire staff at VEG for their support during this difficult time.
Our German Shepherd was attacked and needed immediate emergency care. I did a quick Google search as it was 7 pm on a Saturday night and her regular Vet office was closed (as most offices are). I am so grateful the VEG care was open 24 hours and took her in immediately. All of the staff were incredibly kind and professional. The office worked well as a team to take care of our pup. Dr. Jon, Anthony and all the nurses were amazing. Our pup is feeling much better and healing well thanks to the care VEG gave her. I highly recommend if your pet needs emergency care.
On our worst day, AEG was filled with angels! They are amazing… every single person we interacted with was filled with quality care, genuine concern, openness, thoughtfulness, respect, patience and love. I have never seen an organization where every single person was amazing. It is so clear that this organization instills amazing values throughout the entire company. They post their values on the wall and they truly live those values. We lost our best friend this day, but we were surrounded by amazing angels. I wish they would open a people hospital as well!
My sweet kitty had a severe asthma attack out of nowhere at 4:00 AM that woke us up. We rushed him over to the Veterinary Emergency Group and they quickly got him into an oxygen tank. They did an excellent job reassuring us, educating us, and keeping an eye on him while he stabilized. They were also dealing with 3 or 4 other emergencies at the same time, so we were impressed with their ability to jump from one emergency to another. Our sweet boy is now on daily medication, and we're so grateful for the Veterinary Emergency Group for helping him.
Our pet bunny wasn't eating or drinking, so we called around to 5 different places to get her seen. Vet Emergency Group was the only one that could see her immediately. After about an hour and a couple treatments, she was on her way back to health, and even started to eat some hay in her cage on the way home. Thank yall so much for your help for our bunny! Other vets couldn't see her for a few days because they didn't have a specialist for "exotic" animals such as bunnies, but V.E.G. said bring her in and we are glad we did!
VEG made a very stressful night so much more bearable. I brought my chiweenie in because she was having seizure clusters and Dr. Keffer and her team immediately made sure she was well taken care of. They truly treated my baby as if she was their own and kept me in the loop the entire time. She was completely back to normal the next morning and I am so grateful. I highly recommend this ER and hopefully I won't have to be back, but if I end up there again, I have 100% trust and confidence in this team. Thank you guys so much.
If I explained in detail just how great this place is, this review would be a novel! I’ve never had a pet emergency, but found myself experiencing one early this week. They immediately took amazing care of my fur baby while also comforting me! They kept me involved during every step of the way. I came to visit him often during his 48 hour stay there. All of the ladies there were so kind and told me new funny things about my sweet boy during every visit! Every dime was 100% worth it! Thank you so much for being so wonderful!
Had to bring my dog in last night for a copperhead bite; and the team here was great! They got her evaluated immediately and made sure to explain any testing and billing thoroughly. Pricing was what you would expect from an emergency visit. They did not appear to push anything unnecessary and even sent us home for monitoring since my dog was not having any life threatening reaction to the venom. It was incredibly late and I was pleasantly surprised that they had security on staff to make sure you got to your car safely.
I cannot express strongly enough, the excellent care that Binky received at VEG. When I brought Binky in, the team was waiting for Binky. They immediately got to work on Binky and made him comfortable. It was all hands on board. I received texts and calls every day, every shift. It was such a relief to know and get an update so often. I will never take my animals anywhere else. Veterinary Emergency Group has an amazing group of experienced clinicians and the receptionist was part of how great this place is run!
We got back from a walk and our old girl was beat, she was ready to tap out. We knew her health and condition had been declining, she was 14 yrs old. We rushed her to the closest vet not knowing what exactly to expect. The nurses were so gentle and amazing. The doctor was great, they were willing to work with our situation. I am so greatful, the experience definitely stamped my heart ❤️. Rip sweet lola, and thank you all. The card and paw print were exactly what my son needed to start healing .
The entire team at VEG was incredible. It’s never fun and always nerve-racking to have to bring your pet to emergency care but the team eased both me and my dogs nerves. They were so polite and careful with my apprehensive dog. They were incredibly attentive and informative and we were cared for the second we walked in, up until when we left. The phone staff was also very helpful in discussing the problem when I called in and got us checked in ahead of arrival to speed up the process.
I took my bunny here today where he had his final moments on earth and I never once doubted the love they showed my baby. Every tech and the doctor showed concern for him and my family, even the sweet receptionist. My normal vet was closed and they recommended this amazing vet and I couldn't be more grateful. If you ever need an emergency vet, please take your fur babies here. They will show compassion beyond belief and do everything they can to heal animals.
VEG South Park took amazing care of our golden girl who was very sick with pneumonia over the weekend. Their quick action, professionalism and attentiveness helped us get Millie back home and on the mend after 24 hours. They were extremely responsive and informative whenever we would call for updates, which helped us feel at ease having to leave our sick dog overnight to receive treatment. Dr Pitillio and Crystal were amazing to our Millie!
Brought my kitty to VEG when she wasn’t feeling well over the weekend and our vet office was closed. The staff was beyond welcoming and caring, they even held the front door open and helped us into the facility. I don’t handle medical environments well and was a bit nervous with the triage style setup. They were kind enough to bring us to a private room which was more comfortable. Thanks for helping my kitty (and me) feel much better!
We brought our dog in this past week to discover he needed an emergency surgery. All of the staff were kind, knowledgeable and helped ensure we were all as comfortable as possible. We were able to stay with our dog Taco up until the surgery. He stayed one night and we were able to visit him after surgery. Taco seemed comfortable with all of the staff and was well cared for. We would come again for any emergency situations that arise
Everyone was so kind even though they were understaffed on a busy Saturday morning! I was the only one there with a cat so they put me into a private room which I was so thankful for! The room was super cold so they even brought me a blanket and offered to bring me a coffee Dr. Robyn was the absolute best! She was so kind and sweet even though she was the ONLY doctor there. She was warm and kind and made me feel so much better.
I would recommend VEG to any pet lover. They saved my dog’s life. Mary was poisoned with an unknown substance and she was in a life threatening situation when we arrived. Their expert care is the reason she is alive today. In addition to their excellent medical care they let me stay with her the entire time. They cared for, and supported, me all night as well. My family and I are so grateful that we landed at their doorstep.
I have no words to fully explain how awesome this group is. As terrible an experience as having a horribly ill dog is, the vets and nurses - all caring and kind and extremely competent - made our ordeal bearable. I have had occasion to use other emergency vets and those practices pale in comparison. I am so happy to know that such a place exists and that not only my dogs will be in good hands, so will I!
Absolutely the most greatest and caring staff. My furbaby went in a critical state on a verge of death and we can’t thank you all enough for granting us another opportunity with him. Literally a miracle happened in front of our eyes. Thanks to you all we were able to bring him back home with better understanding on JJ’s condition and continued care. Thank you for your compassion and care.
We called because our GSD woke up with a limp that was causing him pain. The Dr. who answered was very helpful and we decided to bring him in. They got us in immediately and checked on Toby to confirm is was not serious and gave us a plan to move forward. The whole team was friendly, helpful, and knowledge. This was the best experience I've had with an emergency vet. Thank you all!
My cat had a life-threatening issue with his urinary tract and I ended up having to take him in on Christmas Day. The VEG team was able to have him seen as soon as I called and began treating him immediately upon arrival. The team was friendly, informative, and professional. Hopefully my cat does not have another medical emergency, but I will definitely come back to VEG if he does.
Caring, compassionate personable staff that offers immediate attention, takes the time to explain the situation and their action plan. Treats you like your pet is their number one priority even though they have other pet patients they are tending too. Emergencies are awful. Don’t waste time googling places to go.Just stop right now and call VEG. You’ll be glad you did.
I had to bring my cat for urinary issues late the night before Thanksgiving. From the time I called until I walked out of the building I received exceptional care. Everyone was very helpful, kind, and informative. This was my second visit to VEG and I can confidently say I will continue to trust them with the care of my pets in the event of an emergency. Thank you all!
We are eternally grateful for the amazing team at VEG. Their expertise, gentleness with our dog and caring attention to us was amazing and made all the difference. Their philosophy of treating the patient and their owners as all valuable and allowing us to never be away from our dog meant so much. Five stars is not enough to express how wonderful this clinic is.
We had a wonderful experience and received great care from Dr Huff and his team during an unsettling time with our pitbull mix post snake bite on a holiday! Their model of care is wonderful. Loved being in a room with everyone else receiving care. I k ow out girl was more at ease having us there while we waited for exam, lab work and results.
Can’t say enough good things about this place! I found this sweet puppy battered and bruised on my front porch and they were able to see her immediately. Everyone was super friendly and I appreciated that they do everything where you can be with your pet or watch from close by. I left very confident with their care. Thank you guys so much!!
My sweet, Fancii Pants is feeling better now thanks to VEG’s care on 12/6 & 12/8. This week, she began showing signs of being in pain. Had it not been for VEG, I wouldn’t have known that her tail was deeply wounded. The staff was very kind and helpful throughout the entire process. Thank you all for the work you do!
These people are a Godsend! I appreciate not only the service but the love they showed my puppy and I. It will never be forgotten. Even watching the team work together was amazing. By far one of my favorite vets in Charlotte. Thanks Bentley is doing so well …
Edit: No one reached out. No one cared. My girl is gone and that can't be changed. And I'm still paying on the extra money charged without consent. If you need more in depth care (like an internal doctor or other specialist) PLEASE, please
This group was absolutely incredible and put my mind at ease when we brought my diabetic cat in. They were so kind, caring, attentive, and professional. After having a horrible experience at another emergency vet and deciding to bring her
This was my first time coming to this 24hr emergency vet. I couldn’t be happier with the way my pet and I were treated. All of the employees made a difference to our experience. They were very attentive and helped me understand what was
Our 14-year-old daughter has loved snakes since she was 2. Three years ago we bought her a ball python. Last night it unexpectedly passed away. We live up in the Huntersville area and rushed down as fast as we could. They rushed us in
I am so happy with this place! We were visiting our son over the week of July 4th and late one night my dog’s nail got caught and ripped. He was bleeding and was in pain. I had to rush him here from Mooresville since there was nothing
Not knowing the pain our cat Winston was going through, we went to our vet and was told he had a UTI. They gave us medicines and we came home. The next day he was worse. I called every place for emergency vets and came across VEG.
What an amazing staff! Everyone was welcoming, caring, patient and very informative. They realize how important our pets are to our families. Thank you for providing a trusted place in an emergency situation.
I was frantic to get my little Coco to the emergency room. Unfortunately it was too late. But the staff was amazing. So kind and caring and patient with me. This is the best vet emergency care in Charlotte.
Emergency Vet was very concerned & helpful throughout the process to ensure the best care of our Golden Retriever (Rennie Bea) regarding her Snake bite!! Thanks Doc Katie Morrison!!!
Hands down the best veterinary care available. I called around midnight desperately seeking treatment for my injured cat, they had a spot available and I brought her in.
Caring staff, but a lot of up charges. First, I want to say I had nothing but a good experience with the staff I met.
