Poor service regarding reinstatement of membership. In attempting to convey account history to an employee... I repeatedly heard the young man say... "I don't understand..." I asked him his name so I could address him properly. He refused to give me his first name and after a four minutes and forty four second phone call, the employee hung up with no verbal disconnect. I called back... a female employee answered without identifying herself. I briefly explained the reason for my call and asked for the Corporate telephone number. Her response to me was "You need to look that up...". I asked her her name and she too hung up. I spoke with ABC Finance Company after looking up Charter Fitness. Apparently, Charter Fitness is a difficult company to locate and work with. I will search for a District Manager regarding the Beverly Charter Fitness 'club' and discuss employee protocol when a potential member/reinstate calls for info. After all, there seemed to be comprehensive issues with both employees. Remember this: "You need to look that up." Unfortunately, there is no less than one star, to rate Beverly Charter Fitness.

Great gym in my opinion. I prefer going at late hours (think midnight-3) which is why i chose a 24 hour gym in the first place the stuff is pretty clean and my ONLY issue is sometimes the cord for the egg massage chair is missing so its unusable and for the angled leg press free weight machine, it doesnt give you the starting weight but i googled it and it said that it's about 118 or so. Just google the brand and machine. Its not super important but helpful to know if you want to know what the weight of your set is. Other than that, it's nice. They have a little grassy patch where some of the hand weights and steps and half yoga balls are. Nice atmosphere. Showers in the locker room. PT's and a room for that. For women working out alone, they have these little lanyard arms that i think will contact authorities if you press the button. I've never used it cuz i dont Trust myself to not accidentally press but its still nice that they gave you an option to have some security. And you have to use the app to unlock the door during unstaffed hours so thats nice.

Nice place lots of tv's and most bikes and treadmills have a jack and screens for headphones plenty of parking locker rooms are average a couple of vending machines for water and power drinks Over the last week or 10days all the low stationary bikes #'s 64,65,66,67 are all in states of disrepair have brought it to the attention of the staff with no success also the tv channels on the screens on all the machines are not right channels are infomercials and doubles of the channels left again have brought this to the staff's attention nothing done will you please take care of this. Changed from 5 stars to 3 fix this and get the 5 stars back.

I’ve been a member at this Charter location, since 2016. Since the summer time I’ve noticed declining changes with frequent staff turn over, unorganized management, and broken equipment. I’ve had an incident concerning requesting my money back from unused training sessions ( because majority of the training staff left and the training availability was not feasible with my work schedule) . Only nice thing to state- is the Trainers ( Curby/William/Dan) are awesome! They helped me hit my fitness and health goals awhile back. Beware. I would not refer this location to a friend, nor family, due to these obvious reasons.

If ignorance is the only sin, this place is the Original. A mixed crowd of friendly locals has a good culture, but this is NO thanks to the management. Constant water leaks and sub par maintenance leaves guests wondering if it isn't a slum Lord operating here. BLARING music even in the wee hours is the absolute testament of IGNORANCE on a scale once abhorred by average people. The staff blends in well but their overlords haven't the slightest idea what comfort and pleasantries are. IGNORANCE is the only way to describe the way this is run.

This gym has gone through some major changes over the past few months, all for the better! The place has been nicely fixed up, ceiling is no longer leaking, they added hand sanitizer pumps and machines seem to be in much better order. The staff here are friendly and awesome at what they do. The team training classes with Renee are so fun, she makes working out challenging but engaging, which is a difficult thing to do! Since training with her I've seen major gains throughout my entire body. Keep up the good work, Charter!

I really like this place mainly because nobody bothers me. The staff doesn't bother you. You check in and they're there if you need them. The other gym goers mind their business. It's like everyone here has unspokenly agreed that we're here to workout and mind our business. This is especially great for the ladies. I've never been hit on, offered unsolicited advice or felt uncomfortable here EVER. Because of that alone I will continue to choose this gym/location over all others. I wish other gyms were like this.

I only workout here because of location. Rude and unprofessional staff. For some reason unknown to me, whenever I greet and or say goodbye to the staff they don’t respond, they either put their head down or turn their head. That could be very discouraging for a beginner, I haven’t recommended this gym to anyone and I wont. Most of the equipment is outdated, thanks goodness I can make anything work for my purpose.

I haven’t been to this gym in 2 years. Yet they have been charging me. And hit me with a $148 cancellation collection fee, once my debit card number was changed. I paid fee and they keep sending me messages about my account being in collections! Terrible customer service! Especially since the membership was being sold as no commitment! Do your self a favor and do not use this gym!

I’ve been working out there for over a year and I love everyone that works there. They take the time to show the proper use of the machines so no one gets hurt. The work out classes and individual training are really helpful because they focus on what every individual wants to accomplish. Keep up the good work!

Great location nice staff but cleanliness is not their thing no one wipes down the machines even with covid around. It's pretty gross watching people sweat all over a machine and walk away. Coughing and spitting in the weight area no masks at all except most senior members

The gym has really came a long way from when I first started, the new GM’s has really taken some time and getting the gym together one staff member that really stands out is Megan, she's very helpful, knowledgeable with information and very sweet! I love the new gym staff

Got my girl friend a membership here. They said we were just signing up for the month. She wasn't sure if she would like it. A male employee was giving her a hard time so she never went back. Now they are hitting us up for a bunch of money. Don't trust the employees here.

Yo, if you like lifting weights then you like this kind of gym. No frills, but everything you need to get a good workout. It's nice walking into a gym with a wide variety of folks working out - older folks, body builders, middle age folks. Everyone is welcomed here.

The employees are very kind and always seems to be happy to do their jobs. The club for the most part is always kept clean and sanitized and i feel really comfortable working out here. Some of the equipment could use some touch however, this is my go to gym.

Every elliptical machine is either shaky, makes horrible noises, or grinds as you use it. It's one of the few cardio machines I'll actually do, so it's making me rather hate this gym. Also it's a cell phone reception dead zone, but that isn't there fault.

Ok gym to get your workout done , sometimes the gym is empty which is a plus compared to the one on cicero staff is friendly, mens bathroom is nasty, rusted just flat out discusting don't see how people shower here but other than that it's a good gym

Charter Fitness is doing a great job of keeping a safe environment. Scheduled cleaning of machines and an abundance of spray bottles for individual use. 98% of the members were in mask and because usage is down, you can social distance comfortably.

The atmosphere in this facility is amazing! They have really stepped their game up! The staff and management really caters to everyone and if there is ever a problem they do their best to fix it! It's a place I look forward to coming to every day

The staff here is the best. They go out of their way to ensure the club is clean and especially the staff here looks out for us. Ive been to several Charters and this is by far the best one around....Kepp up the great work and customer service!

They don't follow the Mask or Covid-19 mandates put in place. The place is a breeding ground of potential infection! No masks, no social distancing and they don't check vaccination cards like they are supposed to do. It's an absolute shame!

They're very professional and motivating. Highly recommend this gym over any big chain just by the fact that they'll guide you stage by stage to get you in the best shape yet and no time restriction since it's open everyday at every hour.

Its a dump. Nothing is maintained. Machines seem to down for ever. Carpet is terrible. Granted its 15$ but its truly a hole. Be wise, by pass and move on to somewhere else.

This place is very convenient for me and it’s not as crowded as most gyms. I am able to get my work done with no distractions and get out. And the massage chair is amazing

This gym is kept very clean and the staff is very welcoming. It's small but they use their space wisely. I always feel really safe here no matter what hour I go.

There cardio equipment and tv's are always broke. It's the worst gym of the franchise. Also the roof leaks every time it rains.
