Best place for bread or any bakery items in Barrhaven or in entire Ottawa, always maintain proper covid rules , always quick service and most of all everything is super fresh and loved the quoute that they wrote on the pizza label . The best before is two days from now but it will not last that long and it didnt i bought 6 pizza bases and two of us finished in 1 day so yum and delicious. Really cheap way to make pizza compared to dominos . get 2 pizza bases for 6 bucks and then just put some pizza sauce lots of cheese chicken and bake and there you have it . Awesome guys keep up the good work. Now moving on to their breads . Best best and best and no other word. very competitive pricing but breads are far superior then store bought breada. You can make sandwiches french toasts or just plane raw. I rarely write a long review but this place truly deservs every word. only one thing I can add as improvement is or just for my own sweet tooth satisfaction add more sugar to everything lol. We dnt care about gaining weight its alright when it comes to baked goods i like me some sweet.

I've already been a handful of times since it's opened and tried new things each time - and everything is AMAZING. You can't beat freshly baked goods with a very wide variety of selections. It is on the pricier side for a bakery, but it very delicious and made with quality ingredients. Even after a few days the bread tastes good. The first time I went I had my daughter who was being more active than usual, after the cashier rang me up she didn't charge me for the scone I ordered and said it was a little pick me up to make my day better. I thought that was very sweet and absolutely top notch customer service. The staff was able to guide me in choosing great options which is hard to do with so many choices, but I've loved everything I've tried. Croissants are nice and flakey, Scones are crumbly yet soft and flavourful, and the sourdough rolls are so good! We also just tried the cheese and chive pull apart bread which was fluffy and light and very delicious. I'm more than happy they opened up in Barrhaven! Just what we needed!

Delicious bread and always a great selection and bread, scones and other treats. I only wish the staff were trained equally. Everytime we go in, we always get a staff member who offers to cut the bread (which we decline because it's so fresh and warm) and then puts the bread in a plastic bag. Every single time while this is happening, a coworker beside will be telling customers she can't cut the bread since it's too hot and then will put the bread in a paper bag and provide a plastic bag on the side. Note that we are ordering the same type of bread. Other than this hassle of having to open the plastic bag in the car so the bread won't sweat itself out, we will continue getting our bread here because it is so fresh and the selection is amazing.

4 stars. The rest you know if you've been there. But if you haven't it's good...different...but the wait can be excruciating. The lineup is rediculous. Sorry owners...but there is no reason in this day in age to have a lineup and only two cashiers. My favourite is the -25C Covid special. The wait outside in line and freeze your rear end off special. I suggest that if it takes that long to serve each customer...have a server...and a cashier...don't have the server also take the money too. My time is valuable. Nothing is that good to be in line for 10 or 15 minutes to me.

We got a baguette, a pane di casa (house loaf), a raspberry custard teatime, and a savoury chive and garlic twist. All for $25 which is a great price considering the volume of breads. The savoury twist was very garlicky and delicious. The raspberry custard teatime was just the right amount of sweetness, but not enough custard. Both bread loaves were fantastic. The pane di casa and baguette had the perfect crunchy crust and soft inside. Since the products are fresh, make sure you store them well and eat them quickly.

One of my favourite bakeries in town! The food is delicious - my favourites are the cinnamon bread, cinnamon rolls and spinach & feta croissants. Every time we get food here, we are never disappointed! Amazing customer service, too! This weekend, I went with my young children and there was a line out of the building (so worth the wait)! They waited patiently and when we got inside, they gave the children fun buns on the house. So kind and made our already good morning even better! Definitely recommend!

I love bakeries, and COBS has a good variety of pastries and breads. It's very clean, and the display of breads and baked goods is impressive and nicely layed out. Their prices seem reasonable, and the staff is super friendly. I tried the hot cross buns (raisin, and chocolate chip). The buns weren't very soft and felt a bit stale. The flavor is great though. I preferred the chocolate because I have a sweet tooth. I'll have to try their breads to see what they're like.

I have been coming back in this bakery since we moved in Nepean 2 years ago. The bread are delicious and looks good. Yesterday I bought 2 apple licious and 1 blue berry and custard. It sure taste good but I am dissapointed with the apple licious. The display looks appetizing but what i got is way different. The saleslady got it from the back and i was not able to see it. I was hoping to bring it to our company for our coffe time but decided not to. :(

Scones, cinnamon rolls w/ icing, and sourdough bread. Delicious options here at COBS! Always a pleasure to come by and get a testy treat. Come early if you want sourdough bread though! The ussually run out by the afternoon. They have a rewards program when you buy loafs of bread. The used to offer this openly when they first opened, but now you have to mention it. Definately worth working towards a free loaf as long as you remember to bring your card!

  • Kevin

It's rare to find a business that is able to consistently provide both amazing products and service but this is one. We've tried dozens of different products and have always been impressed. On top of the awesome bread and treats their staff are super friendly and always happy to provide recommendations, samples and even a treat on them for kids. Oh, and dont forget to get a loaf card because you can even get a free loaf after about 10 visits.

  • Jean-Sebastien Kouassi

Ordered plain loaf of bread, it's good. There's some and miss. It all depends on your taste. Price is reasonable for what you get. Cheese and chive scone; good, although I've had a more savoury elsewhere. Double chocolate scone, not bad but tasted like the tim hortons chocolate donut. According to other review, I'm not sure if they increased the production but at 11am on a saturday they had everything that we asked for.

Great sourdough, good customer service great selection of various breads and bread products. Their pull-apart cheese bread is SO good. I love their little pizza and focaccia too.

Attended the beautiful grand opening today and bought a few products... I am floored at the freshness and quality of the products. As a vegan it’s so hard to find good fresh bread at a reasonable price and i will be going back to buy my bread here from now on. I recommend the sourdough baguette, but beware you may eat the whole thing!!! Amazing people, really friendly staff and a great atmosphere. 10/10.

  • Kerry Coughlan

Always alway always a must stop. I refuse to buy from anywhere else, the product is always fresh. You can ask for extra icing for your cinnamon buns, like come on!!!!! Customer service next level. Tonight I was served by Sydney B, the most lovely human being ever. 10/10 best service ever, I ended up buying more just from the recommendation of the pumpkin scone, and how divine. I need more now aha

  • Vicki L

Best bread, bagels and desserts in town. Selection is huge. Their loaves are excellent. They have a slicer so ask for them to be sliced. Bagels are really fresh. Freeze them right away and when you defrost it they are good as freshly baked. The desserts are the best, not too sweet. I’d recommend the chocolate croissants, best ever.

First time visiting the COBS Bread Bakery, went to the location on strandherd and the selection is amazing! But the real experience is the staff, the best customer service I’ve experienced in quite a while. The pastries are amazing but the workers made the experience everything a business should be. 100% will recommend to others and go back myself probably more than I should! Lol

  • Jeff Orange

Cobbs is my favourite bakery. Now yes it’s a chain bakery, but everything is fresh and delicious. My only gripe is I would like to see more variety in breads and buns, and add some of the extras that most bakeries carry like muffins cookies and pies. But I know it’s a bread bakery. I love that I can place my order at opening and pick it up later in the day, freshly made.

  • Lama Najjar

My far my favorite place to get bread in Ottawa! Not only is the staff so friendly, the selection of breads is absolutely amazing! We love their sour dough loafs. I would also recommend trying their feta cheese and spinach croissant. My son absolutely loves going there. Love this place! Oh and whatever is left over at the end of the day is donated. Isn't that amazing?

  • Stephanie de Montigny

Anytime I have visited COBS (or been surprised by my husband bringing some home!) I have always enjoyed my special treats. I much appreciate that they do not use nuts in their locations (allergy family) and while the scones are my favourites, when we use the cinnamon bread in our bread pudding breakfast treat, tastebuds sing! THANK YOU for bringing joy into my life.

  • Monika Doe

Update: Changed the rating from 1 star to 4 for the prompt action of the manager. We placed an online order today, and the order went through, telling us to pick it up in 30 minutes, for 5:33 pm. Closing time online listed as 8 pm -- no holiday hours. My husband showed up, the door was open, and was refused his order. Incredibly rude service. Will never return.

  • Anna G

So happy to find a bakery with fresh bread and pastry! White mini loaf with sesame seeds is my favorite one! You just eat it within a few hours! Nice service. Actually, at my first visit they gifted me a loaf for free! Just wish you could grab a cup of coffee with your loaf as well. I really like the fact that they donate leftovers to a charity every night.

  • Vishal Shah

Quality of bread is fresh and preservative free. You don't find sugar added extra in breads compared to branded packaged ones which I don't prefer. They are a bit expensive then your store brand breads but it's fresh and really good quality. Their Croissants are too die for. I still have few more varieties to try....Service is always with a smile.....

  • Kasper B

This is such a great addition to the areas. I’ve tried a fair amount of their bread now and have not been disappointed. The cinnamon buns are fantastic, the icing is not just plopped on top of the bun, it’s a part of the whole thing. The kids love to come for a fun bun and the super friendly staff. The prices are very good for the quality you get.

  • Michael Wood

It is important to remember that national brands are franchises owned by local people from our community. Cobs in Barrhaven is so good and LOCALLY OWNED. The only thing better than what they sell is their staff. They are so friendly and kind. Please support local during these unprecedented times. I can't wait to try these cinnamon buns tonight :)

  • jay golzari

You owe it to your self and your kids to try this place. Freshly made, great prices, friendly staff, and most importantly Deeeelicious with real ingredients. They always give you something on the house, cherry on top they donate all left over food / baked goods to 6 different food bank. I wish i could give this place 10 stars! Ty Cobs Bread.

  • Jennifer Graham

One of my favourite bakery’s in Ottawa. They have amazing cinnamon chip bread and cheese bread with big pockets of aged cheddar inside when you slice it There hasn’t been anything that I’ve tried that hasn’t been absolutely divine. I also love how they give all of their leftovers at the end of the day to charity ✨ Thank you! …

  • Alysha Flagg

Cobs is always amazing! I have been a few times now and every time I get great service and amazing products. They are often warm from being fresh out the oven! I always try something new and leave with too many scones but it is always worth it! Highly recommend their baked goods, especially a cinnamon bun

  • Elaine Nichol

A while back I was waiting for a friend in the corner of this shop and the friend was getting increasingly late, about two hours in I received a free scone and three hours later my friend arrived and we bought some really great bread. I would absolutely recommend this place and it is wonderful bread.

  • Anwar Abas

I went there to get some baked goods and I wanted to pay, the IT system went down. The cashier said this is on us. I offered to wait but she insisted. I was very impressed with how they acted. The stuff I bought was all delicious. The olive loaf was very tasty. Highly recommended.

  • Kimberly Villeneuve

Amazing! Just amazing. Everything I have tried so far has been delicious. The staff is very friendly and always have lots of smiles. I don’t usually like making detours after a one stop shop at a grocery store but this place is definitely worth the extra stop. Love it. Thank you!

  • Lynne V

Amazing staff and awesome goods! The high fibre white bread is such a treat! Scones were lovely. Thought the cinanmon bun was a tad over cooked. The staff look like they all own the place they are so charming and nice to deal with! When are you opening more locaions in Ottawa?!

  • C

Although the selection was outstanding the service was not. Where were the gloves when taking cash and handling my bread? Customers also dont expect to be yelled at when entering the store...purple haired staff needs help with customer service. Sorry...my first and last visit.

  • deem

I love cobs bread so much, words do not explain my love for this bakery. Their bread? Incredible. Their pastries? Extraordinary. Their staff? Remarkable. They never disappoint. Emily, an employee at the Barrhaven branch, made my whole day the other week! She is so very swag

  • Andrea B

I had a great first experience here! Their prices are very reasonable for the large sizes and they are very knowledgeable about what items are vegan. Most bread is vegan and they even have a few pastries that are as well! Definitely found my new favourite bakery in Ottawa!

  • Peter Sheriff

It's not close to me but when I go to Barrhaven, I make sure to visit. Their bread is second to none and pastries are delicious. Service is always friendly and professional. Prices are great too. I understand they are opening a branch in Kanata next year. I can't wait.

  • Matt

Been there a couple times, most recently today. Went in at 11am for rye bread and some treats.... Sold out of all types of rye bread. It's not the fist time this has happened. Great baked goods, but poor inventory management. Go early if you want something specific.

  • John Sankey

This is far too tiny a shop for the customers it attracts. With two counters serving, a lineup of 11 people outside, even on a Saturday, is testament enough to the excellence of their products to need no further comment but I will anyway: gee I wish it were closer!

  • Tziona Greenberg

Very good in store baked goods. Doesn't use sugar in alot of their products. Bread, desserts, hot cross, hot dog, hamburger and Cinnamon buns. Also has challa (Egg bread). Has discounts, stamp cards for free bread. Very well set up. Most of all very good stuff.

  • Adam Smiley

A welcome addition to Barrhaven! Delicious pizzas, scones and baked goods. I would definitely recommend the vegetarian pizza and the spinach and feta rolls. I ordered a pizza yesterday and it was still hot from the oven. Welcome to the community!

  • Adam Mouhammed

As a bakery owner my self I rate Cobs bread 5 stars. Not only was their service impeccable but their bread and pastries were amazing. Very few bakeries in the city can bring food to this standard. Keep up the good work and welcome to Barrhaven.

  • Minhaz S.

If you're in Barrhaven and not going to this store you're missing out big. I mean just pass by their store and see if you can stop yourself. My kids love their challah bread and I love their Cinnabon with fresh icings. Nothing is overly

  • Mike Chapman

Cobs is always a delight. You are greeted at the door with the smell of fresh bread and the people behind the counter are very pleasant. Even when there's a lineup it goes very quickly and I've always been happy with their products.

  • Lee Chouinard

Yes, they have great bread choices, but for me it was their pizza bread that blew me away. It was stuffed to the brim with excellant cheese and fresh vegetables. At the small price of $4.99 to fill me up I was extremely satisfied.

  • Alberto Tempo

Line up out the door, but well worth the wait. Everything was fresh, and tasty! I should also mention I was very impressed by the genuinely friendly and kind service from the employee serving. Looking forward to visiting again!

  • Shanny Foo

There was a line even before 9am! The staff were super friendly and nice. The Danish pastry crust was flaky but so soft and the filling perfect! They even indicate caloric content so you can balance your cravings and guilt :p

  • Rich

Started going here with my wife and we love it! The girls at the front as always in a good mood and one of them took the time and told me the story of the family who started this business in Australia. Keep up the great work

  • Jane Wismer

Delicious baked good and employees are always friendly and helpful. Their manger, they are happy to tell you, treats them well. So many places in retail do not understand the value of customer service ... this business does!

  • Emily Logan

Had never been before and the girl at the counter was so friendly and helpful in her recommendations. Bought several scones and a loaf of bread and it is so incredibly delicious! So well made and tasty! Great, great bakery!

Favorite new (to me!) bakery. Favourites at our house are the sourdough sunflower flax loaf and the cape seed loaf. Great scones as well. The staff are really friendly. Well worth the wait in line in the morning.

  • Lonny Gallant

We've been to COBS Bread several times over the last year. I'm so glad we found this place. It is easily the best bakery we've been to in entire Ottawa area and beyond! Very clean as well. Keep up the great work!

  • shirley xuan

I used to like shop their bread but today’s experience was not very pleasant. The white girl who served me acted like she really does not like her job and would like not be bothered by any customers.

  • Jennifer Green

Great bakery with lots of variety. I always a have a hard time deciding what to get or more accurately only getting what I planned to get. The family loves their cinnamon rolls and their buns.

  • Dec-Hadden Family

First time having cobs bread. I actually quite enjoyed it. Good pizza and of course pastries. I found it odd that they didn't have drinks but not the end of the world. The pizza was good!

  • Pankhuri Bhatnagar

What a delicious bread. My favorite is the Turkish flat bread. The whole wheat loaf is phenomenal! No other bakery can challenge the quality and the real taste of COBS bread.

So fresh and delicious, worthy of sharing and bringing to friends as gifts. ❤️ the policy of donating day-old product to minimize wastage and help others enjoy the products.

Super busy local bakery. Selection of sweet and savoury scones, buns, croissants, and of course fresh breads. Prices are higher than downtown but staff are super friendly.

Nothing’s better than freshly baked bread! So much variety to choose from and they also have desserts. My favourite is the apple pie scone and cinnamon buns, YUM!

  • Tuyet V

Very good bakeries. The sweet bakeries are not crazy sweet, which is how I like it. The bakeries are not dry either. Sorry about the half eaten goodies picture.

  • Kristy Drain

Love the bread, service is always nice and friendly. Unfortunate that pizza crusts are not ready until noon-ish. Have loved everything we have tried here.

  • FotisCanada
