  • "I really liked the place, the dim lighting, which doesn't let you worry about how you look, or how crazy you look trying to follow the instructor, the trainers, the girl with the cute dog, nice hair by the way, the asian guy, you were my favorite because you were so nice many times you would go straight to me to see if i was okay, the padded floors, the vibe, the energy, the music, the motivation, the enthusiasm, I totally recommend it, what I didn't like is that the classes are not for beginners, it is not easy to follow the training, they should have classes for beginners and advanced, but that's not why I take away a star I do it because before I signed up I asked if it was with commitment, or could I stop it whenever I wanted and they told me yes, but later I realized that the page didn't let you cancel the package of classes until 3 months later, I mean, in those 3 months he would charge me 999 classes, of which I could only use 3, maybe, every month yes because I was stupid and chose the 999 plan when I couldn't even get to 4 classes a month "

I really liked the place, the dim lighting, which doesn't let you worry about how you look, or how crazy you look trying to follow the instructor, the trainers, the girl with the cute dog, nice hair by the way, the asian guy, you were my favorite because you were so nice many times you would go straight to me to see if i was okay, the padded floors, the vibe, the energy, the music, the motivation, the enthusiasm, I totally recommend it, what I didn't like is that the classes are not for beginners, it is not easy to follow the training, they should have classes for beginners and advanced, but that's not why I take away a star I do it because before I signed up I asked if it was with commitment, or could I stop it whenever I wanted and they told me yes, but later I realized that the page didn't let you cancel the package of classes until 3 months later, I mean, in those 3 months he would charge me 999 classes, of which I could only use 3, maybe, every month yes because I was stupid and chose the 999 plan when I couldn't even get to 4 classes a month . But thank God I changed my card and they couldn't be charged, although maybe if I had told them I wanted to cancel it they would have done it, who knows, but I won't go back there to find out, not because of this, but because I hate cardio and I already lost the weight I wanted to lose. Very intense workout but worth it!!!! If you are into HIIT - the very intense kind, this is the place to go. 1. The space is very clean and neat. It is minimalism in prison theme while you do feel the quality details the staff put in the area. From the cleaning product, dryer, toiletries, etc. It has everything you need in a cozy space. No shoes in the work out space. 2. The workout space is very well designed. It is cool and feels open but also like in a camp. The whole space makes you feel like you are training in a prison cell (a lovely version, of course). It helps to focus on the workout with the black wall and very upbeat music, The floor is all yoga mat material, so it is very soft. If you tend to sweat a lot, I suggest wearing good grip socks. I find it slippery sometimes when I go barefoot without knowing what to expect. 3. The instructor has very good energy. He will do the demo. He is strict and encouraging. So you have someone to push you but don’t worry if you can’t keep it up. Just go with your pace with quality workouts rather than quantity. After the workout, I am a total hot mess drowning in my sweat. I had a nice shower right after and felt like a refreshed soul.

We are from out of town and wanted to take a Conbody class as part of our fitness themed vacation. We booked the 8am Manic Monday class online. When we arrived the front desk person felt really bad because the 8am class had been cancelled and we hadn't received an email saying it was cancelled. However, Coss (the owner and founder) came out and not only apologized, but offered to stay and give us a private session so we could still participate. He even offered us the chance to come back for free. They could not have handled this little snafu more beautifully than they did. The class was awesome even though I was pretty much dying by the end (curse you Gorilla Hops). Coss was a great instructor. He does get in your face and push you to do your best, but never do you feel like you are being disrespected. He was a very nice guy and even chatted with us after the class even though he had told us he needed to get somewhere. Definitely a cool thing to check out if you are ever in New York or if you live on the LES. However, make sure you read their website to learn about the workout style ahead of time. It is definitely not for a person who has never done intense exercise before.

That a person can take and accomplish what the government has failed at . That instead of allowing the system to brake his spirit . He has created hope. Not just for himself but for his community. We must stop looking at those who commit crimes as just namless faceless criminals. Instead of investing in the punishing of our fellow human beings . We should ask why does a person feel that is the best solution? If they were wealthier. They would likely have a Doctor write a prescription and help them overcome their issues. Tellinf people that in order to be a valued member of society. You must have $ cars clothes houses. So long as we teach people that to be fulfilled you must have things. The sickness in our society will only get worse. This man has discovered what brings true fulfillment.

I had heard about Conbody many times, but one of my friends told me about it in detail and I had to try it. I love the concept and I am 100% supportive in the platform and foundation it is built upon. I’ve been to multiple classes with various trainers, and I am obsessed! Every single class is challenging, wether it be cardio based full body or a more specified class. The instructors are knowledgeable, and correct your form if needed. They push you very hard, but in a loving and motivating way. I have been telling EVERYONE about this place! People tell me they are intimidated by the idea and that they aren’t “in shape enough yet to go” but that’s why we are all there! To be pushed to our limits by people who know what they are talking about! Don’t be nervous! Just GO!

best boot camp style class i’ve ever tried. It’s very intense but it’s only for 45 minutes so it’s not as bad as it seems. I will say certain instructors give different time segments for water breaks than others but mostly there isn’t much of a break. the style of the workout is to keep your heart rate up and high, therefor giving you the best quality workout. If it’s my first day back in a long time, it’s usually really difficult for me, like anything would be but particularly so with this style workout. Meaning you WILL be sore!! The staff are always very helpful and informative. If your asthmatic, i would bring an inhaler to this one! not to scare you it’s the best body and mental state you could achieve in such a short time, i’m sure of it. so try it!!

No matter which instructor you get, and I've taken class with each, whether it's Coss himself (the owner), Shane, Sultan or Ray you are guaranteed a great workout. The pull-up bar class is usually smaller, and can even result in a private training session, as it did for me when I was the only one signed up. The bootcamp classes, which are different every time, always leave me with a solid sweat and I leave the class knowing that my body is better now than it was before I entered the studio. It's also a great studio to support because of it's social impact and mission. This gym makes it a point to hire formerly incarcerated prisoners, providing employment to a population that is very often neglected and ignored, and helps to combat the high recidivism rate.

Conbody - well, I have been coming here for a year now. These classes are like nothing I’ve ever done before. I love the challenge of my own body weight, HIIT style, minimal breaks. I’ve noticed improvement in my form for certain exercises in my time being here. If you are doing something Incorrect, the trainer will come over and help correct form. Also, they will give some modifications if the position is too difficult. I keep coming back because I’m challenged every time and I see results!! Love the dark lighting, especially at a 7am class. Music is good, depends on who’s teaching. All in all I’ve made good relationships with almost every teacher and I will always recommend this studio. DO THE TIME!!!!

Would highly recommend this workout to anyone! I've been an avid Orange Theory Fitness goer for a few years now, but it's crazy expensive in NYC so I was looking for a more reasonably priced option that's still effective. This is it- a no nonsense style boot camp class that is both challenging and fun.. Everyone I've met at the studio is super friendly and the atmosphere is unpretentious. You see all fitness levels in the classes and everyone is encouraged to push themselves to the next level. Do yourself a favor and try it out!

I discovered Conbody thru the Classpass app on Christmas when they were one of the few gyms open for me to do a workout. Since Christmas I have become addicted to their workouts even though each workout destroys me, but in a good way. The class is basically 40 minutes of intense cardio and agility training. I thought I was pretty fit before but doing the Conbody workout the last month and a half has taken my cardio fitness to another level. Love this workout and the guys who run this place!

Conbody is an amazing workout. Be prepared to get your heart rate up, burn calories, sweat and push yourself in ways that you didn't know you could. It's a 45 minute high intensity workout using body weight only (no equipment), the room (cell) is dark and the music is loud. The trainers are encouraging and interactive. Coss the founder has not only created a unique workout but also built a business that focuses on community and giving back - so inspiring! Try this class!

I’ve been coming to Conbody for over a year now. It’s an amazing class, environment, mission statement and energy. The instructors push you to do your best and make the most out of your time there. It’s a tough class but you find out what your body is capable of in those minutes with a Conbody instructor. I look forward to when I have a class scheduled and love the mission of the studio. Highly recommend this gym! I love the concept that all of the instructors and staff were people who were formerly incarcerated and have gotten into fitness. The classes really get you to work up a sweat and while you are pushed, you can also go at your own pace, whatever that looks like for you. I've taken the Manic Monday classes with Derek and he's great! Very motivating. Definitely check this place out! :)

ConBody is the hardest bootcamp in NYC, and all just with your own bodyweight! To add to it, the owner, Coss, employs trainers who were previously incarcerated. It's a step towards reducing recidivism, by helping people find employment and reintegrate into society. It's fun, it's extremely challenging, and you feel like you are doing a bit of good by supporting this small business (with a big cause).

Took their classes several times a week for about 2.5 years, had a monthly membership, unfortunately had to move so wasn't able to continue but these folks are the real deal. If you want a killer workout, this is the place to go. Derek is my favorite trainer, even if he's personally responsible for making me do untold thousands of burpees. Take their classes! You won't regret it.

Conbody is the best workout class in NYC. I was never big into classes and have always enjoyed doing my own workouts. After trying out Conbody, I now try to make sure I add a Conbody workout to my week every week. Shoutout to Kenny Chan and Full Body Fridays - truly the best group class I've ever taken and I always look forward to starting my weekends with Full Body Friday!

I’ve been going to conbody for years now and it’s one of my favorite workouts in the city. Everyone working here is very friendly and you might also have one of the instructor’s dogs greeting you as you leave the class. It is one of the harder workouts on classpass (expect push-ups and burpees) but you can always modify. Overall it’s a great full body workout.

I highly recommend conbody. I don't like to workout at all, however the trainers provide me with support and motivation so that I hold myself accountable. Also, they are very flexible with providing personal training sessions. In addition, the trainers also provide great health tips...I personally love 'lock down Wednesdays'. This is a must try!

There’s absolutely nothing like Conbody. I have a yoga studio and bootcamp gym membership near me, but I make the journey to the LES on my one day off to get a REAL workout in. I have never found a workout like this before and the energy in the room is unlike anywhere. The people who run this gym are as real as the workouts. Thanks Conbody!

This class is insanely good, would 100% recommend. The 45 min flies by, you’re working nonstop and at the end you got the perfect mix of satisfaction, exhaustion and pride. Type II fun (only fun after it's over), and worth every minute. Take the 6:30am 30 minute class for a more condensed version than the hour-long (i.e. less stretching).
