Sep29 I submitted myself to ER met the 1st nurse Jennifer (Cambodian) who assured me not to blame myself for doing varies wrong things to speculate the possibility of my internernal bleeding. She helped my mind to alleviate lots of burden so I could focus on the mending. My 1st ER doctor (forgot her name) she's skinny and blond, who eliminated my worry of blood transplants and got in touch with the physician quickly. Night shift Dr. Kelly remained optimistic about my condition so I got through my 1st tough nights. When I got transferred up to the 6/F my 1st nurse was a Korean lady who was super hands on she wouldn't mind, in fact insisted in doing the most gross chore around my care, very attention to details. After her there's Robyn who's also very smart experienced and fun to talk to. Dr. Josephine Haneidaz took time to convince my stubborn mind what I truly needed for my condition since I was somewhat rejecting the notion of being operated on. She was both assertive yet very respectful of how I felt. Dr. Mani came back confirmed with me with my concern and brought it back to his doctor team to re-evaluate what needed to be done. None of them mind my time consuming attempts try to influence them. And they know what's best for me. I finally let go of control, which is the best way to be. Nurse Daniel took me to the 3rd floor operation room he kept telling me how skillful Dr. Chung is so I feel less nervous, also he talked to me about other things to distract me. He told me I was in good hand. Needless to say Dr. Chung did an amazing job found the ulceration sewed it up. No issue after :D Abraham and Kristine are my nurses on the final day who are very engaging with my care. Both very passionate with their jobs and very confident in their positions. The very last nurse assistance young man who took my last blood pressure was also a very attentive. The last Doctor I met was Dr. Dinh, who has excellent bed side manner, she answered all my questions and made sure I had all the supplies I needed to check out the hospital. Thank you kitchen staff for making nurturing food too that actually tastes really good. Even when I walked out my room to leave the hospital, a nurse whom I never met bumped into me as she's heard everything about me, she insisted to walk me out and say goodbye. This hospital is filled with angels. I feel like I'm the worse person on the floor. Lol Thanks you very much everyone . An experience beyond just being cured and grab my life back. I flew in from out of state to check on my brother . I have never witnessed such lack of patient care . I asked could my brother be freshened up and provided with lotion and soap and towel . I was told by a nurse ( Waverly) that she was busy and about to get off . She also stated with a tone that he “ could do it himself “ He had not been cleaned up! Another nurse was kind enough to get the items so I could care for him . He has severe swelling in both legs and feet . When the Dr. came in she seemed very agitated and begin to tell me how she had worked for six days straight. They are treating him for COVID and a UTI . But no one seems to be concerned about about the swelling. She did say they would order a CT BUT that’s not until Monday ! Today is Saturday and he’s been here since Thursday night ! He was just in Zuckerberg with the same issue. The doctor there said he had Venostasius ? . Gave him compression hose and OxyContin and released him . That was just a week or so ago .Since then he’s had a fall and the swelling has not gotten any better . There just doesn’t seem to be anyone here on the floor that will take the time to speak with me about a diagnosis or that will offer proper care. I had to travel by plane not only tp witness his condition but also lack of care ! Im planning on contacting patient services and hospital administration. The room hasn’t been cleaned and food trays aren’t picked up timely . There were two nurses that remember why they do what they do . Lizzy & Jazmine .They were helpful and weren’t even his nurses. This is appalling to say the least . I pray my brother gets well so that he can be discharged because this place is utterly ridiculous! I pray for those who have no one to advocate for them !

Don't go to this ER unless you are 100% desperate and this is your absolutely last option. My full experience was as follows: I broke my nose in basketball. I went to the Urgent Care first and they were about to close at 8 pm so I went to the ER here instead. I walked into the ER at ~8 pm, waited 45 mins for the doctor to come by which was fine. They took a scan of my nose and told me that my nose was broken which was obvious since it was making a zig zag looking at it in the mirror. I was told to see an ENT doctor within the next few days and I left around ~9:30 pm. Basically, I walked in with a broken nose and walked out with the same broken nose plus with a nose scan, in ~1.5 hrs. And a month later I received a $7k medical bill. A plastic nose surgery costs about ~$10k. I walked in and out with the same nose, spent ~1.5 hour, and got billed $7k for it. My insurance covers 65% of it and I will have to pay the remaining 35% out of my pocket. If I went to the Urgent Care instead, I would have paid only $30 copay but now I will pay $2,450 instead. I leave it to everybody's judgment if they think this is fair.

AVOID AT ALL COST - MALE NURSE VIOLATES Since YELP does not want to show truth at all these days and decide to eat my sincere review, I’m posting here for any future patients who might go through surgery here. I was a recent patient of this campus and this young tall Asian male nurse with soft voice is absolutely nightmare who CONSTANTLY VIOLATES MY PRIVACY. He took out of my urine bag which should not have happened at all causing me a bloated belly with pain. My doctor was shocked when she found out this happened the next morning she came to check on me. She immediately instructed the nurse to put it back but he NEVER SHOWED UP UNTIL two female nurses was helping putting the bag in. THEY INSTRUCTED HIM NOT TO COME IN TO PROTECT MY PRIVACY BUT HE INSISTED ON PEAKING IN. I was talking to other RNs later during the week when I felt better and they CONFIRMed that it’s the not the first time they heard about this. THIS IS SHOCKING AND DISAPPOINTING that sutter health still hasn’t investigated over him and continue letting this person working in health care.

There is a war being fought here that involves everyone in administration. The fallout is that you can't get any doctor or department to confirm or deny what the last department said or did. A 32 year employee went so far as to say that..when requesting to speak to a nurse for advice...that "we have never had nurses you can call for advice." There's an ideology at the top that insists that an indecision on whether an entire hospital can be run by doctors alone...and without any administration degree. Both sides may be right but it's costing the patient base. Just how much remains to be seen. Btw, this facility does not offer Covid testing at the time of this writing. You must rely on home kit companies.

Stayed for 24 hrs to accompany a relative's surgical procedure. Very good experience. Loved the fact this is basically a brand new building (opened 2018) so it was super clean, warmly designed environment. Spacious waiting areas with free wifi, comfy sofas and tables and plugs, with digital signage showing status of patient. Breakfast food quality in cafeteria was so-so, albeit nice dining room. Room-service menu, quick delivery and much better food quality (delicious soups, jook). Friendly staff all over made you feel in good hands. Private room had fold-out sofabed, and hospital provided sheets/blanket and pillow for guest. Parking garage on same block, with validated parking for patients.

Lost my day trying to get a PCR test here. No notes on the door that there wouldn't be any PCR tests during the holidays. They did not move a finger to add a note on the door. I ended up writing a courtesy note to other patients. The clinic that always sends us to this lab is at the next floor. They have not been informed, so she (Rachel?) wrote an order for my PCR test to them. Their website was down. Simply they didn't care. I ended up not getting my PCR test done in the middle of a big city.

Ive had surgery here more than once. I love the size of this hospital - it’s not so big that it feels stressful or overcrowded. This time around the post op care I received from Shaw was awesome. I felt like I met an old friend who happened to practice medicine. Such a comfortable balance of casual, knowledgeable and caring. By the way, pre op was great too, it all just happened so fast this time that I didn’t catch names :)

My husband stayed on the 6th floor for three nights in July, whilst recovering from surgery. Overall the level of care was very good. The medical staff were efficient, yet empathetic and tried their best to make his stay as comfortable as is possible in these situations. The cleanliness of the room could not be faulted, and the personnel that brought his food were pleasant too.

Admitting process is the worst, never have I’ve seen a outpatient center make patients stand and wait for over 30 mins (without process for online check in, or ticketing system). Only 1 person on duty and not understanding to open up another desk.
