I have been using the CVS on Shelby and Raymond for years! Well over 10 years, for my whole family. We recently switched to this one because my husband was just in a really bad car accident where he was EJECTED from the car and almost died! His doctor's is on Alabama so this was more convenient for us. The experience we had 2 weeks ago was the most ridiculous experience EVER! THE RED HEADED PHARMACIST (whose name i believe starts with a K, she covered it so I couldn't see.) Is by far the rudest and most miserable person I've ever come into contact with. She out right REFUSED to fill my husband's gabapentin because she obviously couldn't comprehend simple rules? His doctor, his doctor's nurse, the original filling pharmacy and the insurance lady from Anthem, all of them called her and told her it was authorized and to please fill it and she wouldn't!?! My husband has already had a seizure, this medication clearly states if you stop abruptly it will cause seizures. He already suffers from a tramatic brain injury, spinal cord injury and a broken shoulder/arm. I went back and forth with her for A WEEK! I have NEVER had any problems with ANY pharmacy in my 30 years of life! It was so ridiculous that the INSURANCE lady called them into Kroger and they were ready a few hours later. Thank God because he was already out of them that day. I stretched his last 3 over one day so it would be in his system, he is supposed to take 9 a day! Shame on you for using your position for power! Everyone I spoke to said you were just being unreasonable. We will never use this pharmacy again. Although the pharmacy is whack, the inside of the store was clean and nice and the staff up front were wonderful. Plus they have u scans. But be warned of the pharmacy, I wish I would have read these comments 1st, I read that we're not her 1st victims. I hope you find happiness and stop trying to spread your misery red head K
I was in Indianapolis for New Year’s Eve and I had not had my medication in several days. I called the pharmacy in Vincennes and they said my prescription was due to be picked up so I asked if I could still pick it up in Indy and they said “of course”. So, in the cold we walked from hotel to the pharmacy where they told me I am actually somehow a day early on my medication and that they couldn’t do it without a doctors authorization since it showed I had picked them up early “several times” is what they were telling me. I go to the doctor every 4 weeks and my medicine runs out the day before I go to the doctor which is henceforth where they write my new prescription and I get a new dose for the day. The doctor was out due to it being New Year’s Eve but the Red Headed Pharmacist insisted that I try to contact them. Drove back to Vincennes in the period of 2.5 hours and they released my medicine to me immediately. It is an absolute joke of a pharmacy and the red headed pharmacist woman is also a complete joke. Don’t take your business to CVS on Delaware because I swear to you it is nothing but a waste of breath and time. I will forever remember how my vacation was cut short and ruined due to a single pharmacist who cannot read properly
Pros: Location and convenience. It's a CVS and not much more. Cons: the front door, prices, and stocking issues. First, the location is basically perfect for nearby offices, so I drop by here pretty often. Unfortunately, the front door has been broken off and on for about a year, with no signs of them trying to fix it? Requires going around through the office building it's within, which is a bit more out of the way. Prices seem to be artificially inflated a bit because it's ~downtown~ despite stores another few blocks off being much cheaper. I try to minimize purchases here because of this. Stocking issues just seem to be due to their limited space available, and the amount of people who pass through, though it does get annoying at times.
Garbage location. Always out of stock of most items and now they close at 7:30pm. Who closes at 7:30pm in a downtown metropolitan?? EDIT: Just tried to pick up a prescription before 7:30 pm. BE ADVISED their pharmacy closes earlier than their posted hours. How is this possible?? I got a photo of their accurate hours as of 5/29 for everyone. 2nd EDIT: showed up during their posted hours on 5/29 9:00am and they haven’t opened their doors. We didn’t get inside until 9:08am. Here is a photo of everyone outside waiting and the managers names. The pharmacist was unapologetic and they didn’t even have my script
I am not one to write a review but this pharmacy is a disaster. I have been on hold for 20 minutes the past 2 days and then when I was finally connected today was hung up on. I am diabetic and they filled my prescription with the wrong kind of syringes. Last week, I got a text saying my prescription was ready for pick up and it wasn’t. I had my doctor call in a prescription a few weeks ago and they didn’t have it and made no effort to reach back out to the doctor or call another CVS to see if it was available. I know they are busy, but there is an issue every.single.time. I’m moving my prescriptions to another cvs.
This is the rudest and slowest CVS I'd bet across the country. A brand new CVS to serve all of downtown and i've never had a good experience in the last 2 years. The only decent employees are the techs. I have to call to refill and have been waiting for an hour. You accidentally picked up my line after 40 mins and said "Sorry I meant to click the drive-thru" and hang up. WOW. Terrible service, incompetent and rude. Close this one and re-open the one on the corner of Illinois. I'm transferring to Walgreens.
This CVS needs some work done to it, for example it needs to be open later and on Sundays and good luck trying to get in and out of it during the week because the cashiers are so slow, its even worse on Saturday afternoon especially if you take the bus if I get off one bus at 3:30pm and go in here, by the time I get done picking up a few items it will already be time for the one I was going to wait on to come, so avoid if possible on Saturday
Most frustrating, rude service I have ever experienced at a pharmacy or any business for that matter. Multiple calls to customer/pharmacy relations got me no where and I received no follow up. I understand that everyone is short handed right now, but there is no excuse to treat people poorly and complicate a person's attempt at staying healthy. I will not use a CVS pharmacy again after this experience.
Let me talk about Grace, in pharmacy. I have stage IV breast cancer and my doctor called in a slew of prescriptions for me. I NEVER would have been able to afford any of them if it hadn't been for her! She applied some type of discount for me and I'll be getting the meds I need. It's these small acts of kindness that make a huge difference! Grace, your name is appropriate!!!
The pharmacist and pharmacy tech that are here now are the rudest people I have EVER met! They should not be I the healthcare field at all. If I could give zero stars, I would. I will be reporting both to whoever's I have to. They don't have any type of pictures of pharmacist here, so I will report both names, as soon as I get my wife's meds. HORRIBLE.
Very very rude ladies , so arrogant and not helpful U can never trust the pcr test for travel they say it’s 1-2 days but no guarantee and most international flights require test 72 hour before arrival call center rep knows nothing , text results on their number service is not available Not a trusted for travel and don’t risk missing ur flight
The CVS main offices people needs to go undercover to this Pharmacy and just to see how rude and disrespectful the employee are in this CVS. My prescription went there by mistake. So I thought OK I will give them opportunity because sometimes people do have bad days. Boy was I wrong. Nope i think that how they are. Never again!!!!
This CVS stands out for its remarkable efficiency and the exceptional assistance provided by its dedicated team. From the knowledgeable pharmacist to the skilled pharmacy techs and the friendly cashiers at the store's entrance, you can expect top-notch service. They're all committed to ensuring a seamless and helpful experience.
Long time customer and CVS suddenly decides they don’t take my insurance. Instead of them picking up the phone to notify my doctor and save us the trip, their two pharmacists coldly deliver me the news with no other offer to assist, dropping us as customers just like that, as Im with my sick kid. CVS has lost it!
Pretty useless pharmacy. Can never get basic prescriptions filled in a remotely timely manner (3days). Unfriendly techs who at the end of the day really are no help at all. Look elsewhere for competent pharmacy needs. Only good thing about this cvs is the friendly front staff and Buffalo Trace
They're very friendly but the store is very old and dated. It really needs to be a beverage and snack bar, about everything else doesn't sell well since it's in an office building where most of us walk a couple blocks or more to our cars. So buying even a case of water isn't practical.
I love this staff. I can just walk up and they know me and my mom by name and my mom doesn't even go into the store. They're always so nice and informative! You might have to wait but it's never long and I could see if they weren't working (and multitasking at that)...
Website says they’re open till 7:30. Got there at 6:15 to pick up prescriptions that they said over the phone were ready, but sign on the window they closed at 6. Too much trouble to post the actual closing time on their website? That’s just laziness.
I travel extensively and I have had prescriptions filled and refilled at this location several times with no issues. The pharmacy staff have been most friendly, helpful and accommodating in each instance. I enjoy the central downtown
It's pretty much like any other CVS. Convenient walk if you're downtown, decent selection, and courteous service every time I've been there. I've been here probably 30 times and I have not had a bad experience yet.
The pharmacy staff is friendly, helpful and very professional every time. Also very helpful over the phone. I've been going to this store for 10 years and the pharmacy today is the best its ever been.
Refusal of instacart shopper to use bathroom. Picture of employee attached who refused such service. Instacart shoppers do not have easy constant access since its work for them too
Waited 45 minutes for a script to be filled and asked for a restroom since I waited so long. Restrooms for a customer waiting this long should be an ADA requirement for a pharmacy.
The Pharmacist was rude and disrespectful after she turned me away at 6:01 pm although I was there at 5:55pm patiently waiting for her to finish up with the previous customer.
The passport photo service costs more than $10, but it's just soooooo crappy and I'm not able to use it at all....I can even use my phone to take photos with better quality
I’m so excited the red head pharmacist will be coming back at the end of July. She and the techs are such an amazing team and truly are there to help each patient!
The pharmacy here is perhaps the least helpful pharmacy I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I will be transferring all my prescriptions somewhere else.
This CVS was supposed to be open until 7:30 pm, on January 1st. I showed up a little after 3:00 pm and it was locked up and dark. So much for advertised hours.
Rudest pharmacists and techs I have ever encountered…every..single…time. Unfortunately I’m stuck going here every month to get my meds and dread it every time.
If you have time to waste sitting in the drive-thru for 30 min an hour before they close only for them not to help you, then this is the pharmacy for you.
I don’t understand these other negative reviews. The store was very clean, well stocked, and the staff was very friendly! Overall very good service!
I love this CVS! Everyone is friendly and helpful. Very clean, well organized and has a nice selection…better than other stores not too far away.
It's there. I appreciated the cashier using my newly printed photos as a fly swatter in front of me before giving me my photos... not
Pharmacist is helpful and friendly. She does not mind checking different manufacturers to make sure your insurance covers the cost.
Similar to other CVS stores. However, I find this location is frequently out of drinks (cold bottles of coke/pepsi/gatorade/etc).
Horrible service they lied and said the don't sell gift cards after hours while I was stranded their jus horrible people
Usually picking up pictures. And the staff are ALWAYS delightful, helpful, kind and a pleasure to be around. Thank you.
The pharmacist is condescending and rude. Highly recommend taking your prescription anywhere else in Indianapolis
Great little cvs on edge of great downtown Indy . Great location, full service cvs pharmacy and small store .
Great location. The hours aren't bad but this is not a 24 hr location. It's always clean and well stocked.
Very disrespectful staff. Definitely don’t see myself shopping here or even applying here again…
This particular location on Ohio St will close permanently this month, January of 2020.
Not too busy. Pharmacy efficient with little wait. Rest of the store understaffed.
Hours said they close at 6. I was there at 5:39 and they were already closed
Solid CVS with above-average product selection and a great pharmacy.
This CVS is ALWAYS out of drinks with half empty fridges.
The negative reviews are all in regard to the PHARMACY.
Disgustingly horrible customer service at this pharmacy
I come here all the time I’ve never had a problem here
The actual pharmacy part of the pharmacy closes at 6.
The pharmacist and techs that work here are AWESOME!
It's true what they say about the pharmacy staff...
Lisa is Awesome . She is very patient and helping
Pharmacy employees are rude and incompetent.
Love this place friendly staff very helpful
Management need to hire more staff
Never open even when supposed to
No public restrooms.
Very rude service!
