I unfortunately was quite sick after my recent experience as mentioned previously I haven’t been contacted by the store at all that I am aware, but I appreciate you taking my feedback on board and hope to build up the courage to return in the near future Since opening I’ve been here a decent handful of times to give it a good go. I have had some good coffees through drive thru and I’ve had some s**t ones too. However for the dine in experience and the actual food… I cannot say I’ll be back. I’m not one for complaining but every time I’ve been the chips have been terrible.. and I mean terrible, undercooked and terrible quality. I’ve had eggs Benedict on a couple of occasions and the eggs have been pretty undercooked on every occasion (supposed to have runny yolk, yes, but not runny white ) bacon is undercooked and so much rind. Now today I tried the cheeseburger. Wow. Just wow. If you, as the owner reads this, I highly encourage you to order, and eat one. It was BAD. I’m talking, gross. Actually gross. I’m not sure what ‘meat’ you use, but I’d reevaluate that in a heartbeat if I were you. I am now sick with food poisoning symptoms, not sure if coincidental or what… But I do not recommend food from here It is not good

as a fan of the mild end villi’s, I half expected at least some quality and professionalism. Ordered pie, chips and gravy and got home to only chips and gravy, an understandable mistake. Drive the 25 minutes back there after giving them a call just letting them know I’d be back for the pie and fresh chips and gravy and all was well. Went back through and was told I could have the pie, but not the fresh chips and gravy (probably over an hour old by then). Had to ask for a meal compensation just to be offered the fresh chips and gravy instead (still not the end of the world). Got back home and opened it up to the same stale chips and half cold gravy. As a consumer I think it’s reasonable to expect a bit better. Nothing personal to the workers, they were polite enough for 10:30 at night but for them to be difficult in the first place when I’ve come out of the way for something that wasn’t my mistake is upsetting. Anyways, wouldn’t recommend, probably going to be on the toilet for the half cooked pie later.

The staff are better, but they need a high quality manager to really make them shine. Good cooking overall, but let down by the chips, which are pretty average, too oily ( and you can taste the low quality burnt seed oil ). And some ridiculous notion that a conventional oven can heat a pie in a minute thirty. It just ends in overcooked dry pastry and a soggy mouth burning inner mess. The t bone is 5 star, rare, but paired with 2 star chips. (And by 2 star, I mean it's suitable to eat if you are facing starvation, but you would prefer to starve rather than eat those chips for any length of time) There is also this thing called 'salad' which, as far as I can make out, is a quaint Hungarian tradition where they serve the food of your food to you at the same time. Unnecessary, but it does add some colour to the plate.

After waiting to be served for 10 minutes we spent $80 on dinner for our family of 5 I asked the young girl in there if she could wipe the tables she just grunted and walked off so my husband moved a table and chairs around the chair hit the table and made a noise the same girl said with the most attitude do not slam chairs around! Food took 35 minutes to come out and it was shockingly bad the kids ate the sausage rolls I mean pretty hard to screw that up but the stroganoff was microwaved runny slop on rice had one mouthful s left it in the table the chicken schnitzel burger was impossible to pick up they cut the schnitzel into little pieces and it just fell out everywhere I have never had such a bad experience in my life will not be going back there again

Came here for lunch and was horrified. I got the pie floater and they gave me a knife and fork that still had food on them. I asked for a spoon when they came back and told them about the knife and fork. My wife got the pork schnitzel and all the crumes fell off and in side was a minute steak of pork. My kids got the kids burger meal and the counter person did not know they where meant to come with drinks we had to remind them. Also they never got the ice cream that was meant to come with the meal ether. My eldest got the baguette with the lot. The bacon still had the ryns on he had to spit them out. Also the so called baguette bun was just a normal hotdog bun. All the chips where under cooked. We will never come back. The one star was because they have a kids play area. Also super expensive.

It was my first time visiting since it opened. The time of day I went there was no one there. I have provided 4 stars but will update as I start to go more. The place was clean. It's bigger than I thought. Parking was fine. The fact that they have click and collect and a drive through is a bonus. The staff were friendly and food was good. It could have easily been a 5 star. I wouldn't usually leave a review, but I was less than impressed with today's visit. My pastie tasted like it had been microwaved, however still managed to taste stale, and cold. Pastry was soggy and oily. The staff member handed us our cutlery by the end used to go into the food, not the wrapped handles. The "medium" serve of hot chips was served in a rather small bowl, and again, left alot to be desired. Not hot and fresh like the other stores, even though we waited a good 10+ minutes to get them. Then I almost got hit in the head with the tray that the waiter was serving the chips from. I'll give this store another go in the future, as I hope the service and food quality improves in months to come.

Waited over 1 hour 40 minutes for our delivery to be on its way, we had to call for an update as we were waiting so long. They simply advised they were busy. Received basically raw bacon on my potato, no cheese, no coleslaw and drowned in sour cream. Really disappointed to pay $18.50 for a meal I could make better at the age of 8 and not receive half of the specified toppings. Our other meal contained ingredients specifically requested to be removed however meals were made so fast and sloppy they did not regard the removal of these items which they had specifically had an option to remove them. Would not recommend delivery from this restaurant as food quality and service is poor

Been to vili's a few times but this time ordered a couple of large thick shakes. They usually come out n the massive silver thickshake cups. This time they came out in the takeaway cup which is about half the size so the breakfast already got off to a bad start. Then the pancakes came out. I have never seen my kids not finish their pancakes anywhere ever. They had a few bites each and that was it. So i tried some thinking they couldn't be that bad. Hands down the worst pancakes i have ever had in my life. It was that bad my 11 year old son has been cracking jokes since we left about what a waste of money it was.

Excellent food & service. Coffee is great too. Their salad is the best of all 3 Villis stores with plenty of cucumber, tomato, capsicum and onion. Other places (pubs etc) just drown you in lettuce or cabbage and call it a day. Sometimes the chips are undercooked or cold, but the rest of the food I've never encountered an issue with. The prices are higher than you'd pay at a pub, but the food and service makes up for it.

Sorry for the negative feedback Villis , as a patron of all the stores over the years somehow Elizabeth is lacking the quality of the others. It’s as though the people out this way are receiving the factory seconds. I’ve eaten in lately and tonight take away. My Cornish pasty was black on the inside I’ve never seen one like it. I believe it was rancid and as I only took one first bite I may well have avoided the sickness that may still follow. The custard berlina was stale and dry. Last week the villi dog was as dry as could be and a pie I had in a floater was full of dreaded gristle. Cmon people do I need to visit the other stores just for a higher quality?

Just there for lunch and already quite busy at around 12.15pm. My wife and I both had the pie, chips and gravy which was fine but I always find the Vilis pies seem a bit over cooked but maybe it's just the type of flakey pastry they use. Service was also fine. Really just a bakery and cafe but quite a wide selection of food and drink is available. This cafe is quite new and already there's not enough parking.....If you go right down the end where the drive thru starts, you cannot get out that way except to go through the drive thru or do a very tight 3 point turn to go back the way you came in. 3.5 stars.

Big and loyal fan of the other locations so wanted to come and test this out. The service was awfully slow with no sense of ambition or hustle to avoid wait times for the no more than 6 customers in store at the time. Half order was left on the counter randomly while waiting 15 minutes for hot chips that came out undercooked and awful. Dining area was spotless and well spaced out. Plenty of different seating options from booths to benches and outdoors undercover. Separate pickup/collection point for food ordering services outside as to not get clogged up with instore customers is a great touch!

Staff named (wont name publicly) stood there looking angry while i was waiting to be served. She moved to the counter and didnt even say hello or a word and looked at me. I asked for flat white coffee, she again didnt say a word. She made my coffee within 20 seconds. As I picked up the coffee it was so light that I thought she had forgotten to put milk. I removed the lid and realised she had filled the cup with froth. I wouldn’t usually complain when you atleast get either good service or good coffee but this time i paid $$$ for nothing.

So excited to try the Elizabeth Villis as we have always enjoyed the original at Richmond. Chips & gravy isn't something I have very often & certainly won't be having again from the Elizabeth Villis. Night and day compared to their Blair Athol store. Service is far better....probably one of the best service I have received from a cafe in recent times. The food was decent portions and the chips were crunchy with all food cooked quite well. Staff often communicated with where things were at with your order (ie. This is the first half and the rest is coming right up)... Coffee was good although a little bitter for my pallet. Will definitely come to this one again.

The chips have been fixed....!!!! I cannot stress how happy this makes me as my wife loves the chips and gravy from Cafe de Villi's and was extremely disappointed with how the chips were cooked. At around 4pm on Sunday, 20th of August, I experienced unfriendly customer service by two young ladies who did not provide friendly support as to what I was trying to order. They seemed not to understand what I was ordering [ in spite of showing them the menu on the wall ] and made me feel uncomfortable with the unfriendly way they answered to me, so we better left. There should be basic training for better customer services in these food outlets.

Understand you have been playing around with your pricing these last couple months. All I can say is you’ve now lost a regular who would come at least twice a week. I use to come for the nice bacon and egg muffins and usually get a coffee because it’s convenient (coffee is average), but $15 for a little muffin and coffee isn’t worth it. It’s really unfortunate you had to ruin such a good thing. I hope others see this and also refuse to fuel your corporate greed.

Great place for a quick bite or a full meal. Reasonable prices and great selection of pastry and cakes. Bright a cheerful setting for a Cafe. Easy parking and access. Close to shops and other services.

Went in yesterday for coffee with my mate. Found the lady serving us to be very friendly and the service was fast and good. Nice environment and very clean establishment. Will definately return to try the food.

Probably one of the best double egg & bacon rolls I've had for a long time. Great value with an ice coffee for only $9.90. excellent toilets the dining area was spotless. Will definitely be visiting again. My wife had an excellent serve of fish chips & salad which she thoroughly enjoyed.

Food was a terrible disappointment. At 12:15pm lunch time, I bought 3 basic sausage rolls which were the most expensive I have ever bought and they were not even enjoyable. They were dried out like they had been in the warmer since 6am. Will not go back and would not recommend.

Have been to Vili's Elizabeth a few times, the food has been quite good. Service can be a bit half-hearted, the last two visits they have forgotten one dish of our order. Disappointing

My favourite Cafe De Vili's out of the two I've been to. food is tasty everytime I've ordered from here and everytime I've physically gone. Staff are friendly everything is great definitely will keep this as a favourite spot. Their burgers and chips are amazing and of course the pies never fail to impress

Very disappointing and overpriced. Over $19 for 3 cakes Ordered a apricot turnover but when i got home found out it was an apple turnover. For over $6 per cake Get the order correct. Next time I will be double checking the order before I leave the store.

We dined in. You're not going to get a mind blowing meal but you're going to leave with a full belly. Open 24 hours and convenient for anyone who needs a quick meal or is catching up with friends or family. There's a playground for kids. It's also a great place to stop if you've been travelling. Quite a few baked goods and drinks to choose from. The staff were very friendly.

Opposite the Elizabeth courthouse and police station, this restaurant offers a basic range of baked goods to offer those taking a cheeky break from their court hearing. Chips and gravy are considered an exotic delicacy and takes an exotic 20 minutes to make and somehow always get served luke warm.

Omelette hugely overcooked, dry and tasteless. Hash brown's Luke warm and oily. Won't be back. Second time with similar experiences. The Mile End cafe 5 Stars. Maybe the cooks should do some training there first!

Staff & food excellent. Disappointed, so cold at 9.45pm it was like sitting in an igloo. Mentioned this to staff but beyond their control, they cannot change the settings. Would have bought more coffees & cakes if it was warmer inside & stayed longer. Won't come back again in the evening.

Wow so bad, my food a crossont was served straight away but my hubbie had to wait for half an hour for breakie roll and chips. The roll was cold and the chips oily and taste less, will never come here again.

WOW. First time in there since they opened. Very surprised. Large choice of food not just pies. Beautiful premises. Kid friendly. Food fantastic. At least when other places are closed and you've missed dinner time you can still get a great meal. Will definitely be back soon.

Food is cold and tasteless. Its a shame when OTR petrol station serves better pies than villies. To top it off they chuck a holiday surcharge on, but dont tell you until you are paying. Shamefull behaviour, and a blight on a legends name

Ordered soup of the month, chicken and corn 6 ocloxk on saturday night paid and sat down. 15 mins later we have none. 1 person gets there meal and 3 others still waiting Had to call staff over to get meals.

Was a bit disappointing to be honest. I'd rather travel that extra mile to go to the main Villies on South Rd. Cakes were stale the few times I've been here!!! Service was good and the staff are friendly.

Four of us came for a feed and it was a little busy, but we got served in good time by friendly helpful staff and the food arrived at our table within 30 mins. It was hot and tasty. We had 3 different burgers and a wrap with drinks. Not a bad feed.
