When I was a young mom raising my two daughters as a single parent, I was dating someone who lived in my neighbourhood. when I was breaking off the relationship, in my home, he tried to kill me, right then and there. He flipped me onto the floor onto my back, then proceeded to get on top of me and chocked me, I couldn’t breathe! My mom came knocking on the door and he ran off. I then called our Calgary police, they came to get the information then went to his house. When they came back, all they said ‘He seems like a nice guy ‘ I was appalled and disgusted at their response. Shrugging off a violent incident, what could have been a death. He also tried to come back to my home later that week. I think about this situation with the Calgary Police often, not caring about me and letting this man go with no charges! Very disappointed with people who should have protected me!!!!!!

I wish i could say some good things about the department. Unfortunately i was let down by CPS and i bin waiting on them for about 3+ hours and also wasted my 3 hours last night just for the officer to call me and tell me to call in the morning, but still no show. I had a police cruiser drive down here but they didn’t even consider stopping and making a police report even after honking at them... This is not how you build the relationship with the local citizens. Situations like this make me feel like i am being ignored on purpose for being brown skin. I was threatened to death by neighbor in front of a witness and CPS still did not consider this as a serious matter.

Extremely disappointed in the service at this station. When you come in, you are suppose to check in with security. You tell them what you need and they give you a number. After waiting a lengthy amount of time for service, you then are told what you need. You have what you need in your car and it would take 45 seconds to run to your car and get it. Yet they don't allow you to do that saying that the next person in line is due to be helped....EVEN though a citizen at Another window was allowed to come back to another window. Regardless of how impressive this newish building is. They should have more courtesy for their citizens.

I went there for a police check June 18th. I was told to wait for ten business days to receive it. After over 12 business days I still haven’t received my police check. I contacted the station only to find out they mailed it on July 2nd? Due to this I lost an employment opportunity at foothills hospital which is not easy to come by. I paid $55 for my police check, why was it so hard to do their own part and send it out within that ten days frame instead of now? That’s so disrespectful and disappointing. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. I don’t recommend this station to anyone.

I find them to be the most rude and frustrating public employees I've eve dealt with. They convey an air of arrogance and have just been simply unpleasant. I've watched them sit in their cars or stand on the street smoking while traffic sits at a standstill on many occasions. Apparent actually doing physical traffic control is beneath them. They are always there to write up a techno ticket and generate that revenue though. Good work boys. To annoy and obstruct, that's the motto right?

Service was fairly prompt and quick. The Visitors Entrance is located in a odd location on one of the south facing corners of the building with no to minimal signage indicating the entrance. The parking lot layout guides people towards the middle of the southern side of the building where an large entrance once existed, but is walled off. Would be helpful to invest in even minor signage to indicate which door a visitor is to use to enter the building.

I've almost always found the members of the CPS to be very courteous and respectful. It is a tough job dealing with all that negativity. I have a lot of respect for our police force. They try very hard to do a good job and are constantly under scrutiny and pressure. They are human and have their own stuff to deal with. Their resources are limited. I like the community policing approach. Nobody likes to get a ticket. Drive carefully.

It seems that the police are just a cash cow to collect more taxes. No longer interested in safety and justice. Completely unreasonable and disappointing. Times are so hard right now and there has been no empathy from the police force, perhaps because they haven't been impacted and aren't losing money personally.

i visited this place today, staff were very polite and help full and wasted no time to complete application on computer for background check. A very pretty female officer who told me, it will take 15 business day the letter will come to my home address. right now i believe it just wait and see.

I am an Uber driver and applied for report and did not receive the report even after 26 days I am still waiting. My Uber account was suspended by Uber due to non-availability of report, it is my only source of income and I suffering loss of income due to our noble Calgary Police. .

Went in to get a police certificate for an immigration visa. The ladies who helped me were efficient, kind, and really went above and beyond to help me. The place wasn't too busy, so keep that in mind. But this experience has definitely left a positive mark on my life. Thank you!

Background check now days takes too long. If you could try to provide people with an option of expedited background check for an additional payment that would be helpful and people will highly likely would be happy to pay extra for the fast service……$55+$20,or $25… …

Despite these reviews, I'm giving this a 4. My mom had to come here one time for some reason (I don't really know haha) but looking at the place, it's clean and well maintained and the staff are really kind and helpful. A bonus star for the owner responding to some comments!

Very very very nice layout Calgary Police New Westwinds campus location has many different buildings and is state-of-the-art in design the Starbucks within the main building is a nice touch officers are very helpful and very professional in dealing with in day-to-day matters

I need a police check for work and usually I do this online but for some reason the site wasn’t working. Called the non-emergency who said to call this location, and got through a string of menu commands only to get to a voicemail that was full. *Super helpful*

Found my bike on kijiji after the CPS sold it at auction. I filled out a police report with pictures and serial number. They couldnt care to actually cross reference. But hey they almost made a few more bucks at auction for their slush fund

The Calgary police department is a bunch of cowards and traders may God's cup of wrath overflow on you wicked people. May your cup of suffering be full. The way you'll treat a man of God . May you receive the full Justice of the most high.

Had the worst service experience at the district 7 (watch out for a female officer there) so I had to visit this location to get my Criminal record check done. Security and the clerk at the counter was superbly helpful.

Went in for a one hour or so session on drone usage in Calgary sometime in late 2016 or early 2017. The staff at reception was not helpful and very rude. Everyone else seemed to be polite and helpful.

I went this morning to get a police report for the damage on my car. The Police officer was a woman. She was really helpful and respectful. Thank you so much for that, it was a good experience for me.

I went fory police clearance check on August 21 2020. Majority of people was there nice and professional but the lady in the botth number 3 was very rude and disrespectful.she was very unhelpful.

Calgary police don’t know how to listen Around people voice opinion. Note i am not happy person. The cop I talk in the phone he was disrespectful. The cop that talk to last week was rude .

Real nice place, good amount of room in back seat of squad cars, good driving for the most part. Will definitely be getting arrested again by them in the near future. Keep at it you guys!

They were very gentle when they handcuffed me, and their patrol vehicles are beyond roomy. Overall, very professional. Will get arrested by them again, for sure. 10/10 would recommend.

Response time of CPS is ridiculous, they're so many police officers in Calgary but if its non emergency call be prepared to be ignored, especially if youl live in the NE.

We went to the police station after work, and found that the station had already closed for the day. Should have gone to a donut shop instead.

Appointments were being handled on time, most credit cards and bank cards are accepted for payment, and visitor parking had spots available.

CPS sent officers to ottawa to arrest peaceful canadian citizens. i hope nothing but the worst for this force and everyone involved
