Could have been better. I stayed recently at the Canad Inns Regent for one night to have a "staycation" of sorts. Super Bowl weekend I typically head south to Grand Forks or Fargo for a little escape and to watch American commercials during the S.B. broadcast. This year with Covid and blockades , that wasn't possible. To get to the meat of the matter. I received a decent price ($90.00) for the room and the room was clean and comfortable. There , now that that is done, the bigger picture. I was so eager to 'get it right' that a week earlier I attended the hotel to be shown a room and to check out Tavern United ( their sports lounge) to ensure my experience would be all it could be. The plan was to bring a laptop in order to watch the American commercials if the lounge wasn't showing the American feed. The advertisers had to pay $30,000,000 per 30 second spot this year and , because of that cost, the commercials are often better than the game. Having a room rented also meant no drinking and driving plus , the aforementioned "staycation". The menu was surprising in a good way with several types of menus. One of which is "keto" which I appreciated. The food was tasty and the WIFI signal strong for the Laptop. All was looking good for the Super Bowl! Check in time at Canad-Inns is 4pm, not wanting to miss any of the pre-game show , I checked to see if I could get an early check-in. You'd think I was asking them to relocate the building! After being on hold for 20 minutes the Friday before the game (giving ample notice) I was told that " this is a central switchboard" and that I would have to call the hotel directly on the day of , to see if I could check-in early. I thought I was calling 'the hotel directly' but obviously redirected. So Saturday I called the hotel directly to give some notice hoping that I wouldn't get rerouted again. I didn't, but I did get the same response. "Call on the day" . Even thought I live in the City I picked a Hotel that was far from me to give the illusion of going somewhere. This created a problem as to when to leave. If I couldn't get an early check-in I would have to leave later and just sit around waiting with my bag packed biding time. I consoled myself with the thought that I could have a beer in T.U. while I waited. Hold that thought :-) Super Bowl Sunday arrived I phoned to inquire about the room and was told that they should be able to accommodate my request and with eager anticipation I headed to my "staycation destination". Things got off to a rocky start when I was charged double my room rate and not told about that. I received a notice on my phone of the charge and immediately called the desk. I was told that this was standard procedure and that I would be refunded the extra charge upon check-out. I replied that maybe this should be mentioned on check-in but got the same 'standard procedure' comment. As someone that doesn't frequent Hotels in my own city (let alone Canada) , I was not used to this. No big deal just quite the surprise. My next surprise was coming soon. Apparently Tavern United does not open until 4pm. Which is their standard opening time. I talked with the manager about it being Super Bowl Sunday but he said that it wasn't a big deal in Canada so they wouldn't open sooner and they wouldn't have any specials.(understandable and not a huge deal, just another let down). To give perspective, myself and my buddies would have been setup at a table in whatever lounge in Grand Forks we had chosen , by 3pm at the latest. Watching the pregame shows and 'cheaper' commercials and cheap beer & nachos. I asked the manager if they were going to show the game and he assured they would. "With audio?" I queried. "Yes". When I arrived at T.U. they were playing a hockey game and music was playing. It was 4:05 :-( This has been a long enough review so I'll end it by saying that, the food is good , the hotel room was good and the service was ok. Just "it could have been better".

My family stayed here for the weekend for our son's baseball tournament, which was in the area. It is by no means a bad place to stay, but we definitely had some accumulating issues that led to just the "OK" experience. First, we noticed the extra doors requiring a key card to enter, including hallways to rooms. On one hand, you're comforted by the extra security, on the other hand you curious about the extra security needed? Then on the 2nd evening, we were sitting in the foyer as parents and 2 or 3 of us had an alcoholic drink with us as we visited. In hindsight we should have realized this was not allowed, however we didn't think of it at the time. A young female employee(a manager or supervisor by appearance), came by to speak to us and it wasn't in a pleasant manner. I think she tried to keep her composure, but she was rude, plain and simple! We were essentially talked to as though we were idiots for the few of us that had a drink. Only one was an obvious drink, the other 2 were in travel cups. We were not being noisy or obnoxious in any way, but needless to say, my wife's drink was told to be given up and it was taken away. I think a pleasant explanation and an opportunity for us to return to our rooms with our drinks could have been offered. We also as a group inquired if a hospitality room was available for our ball team to gather in and possibly order pizza so that we could come together as a team, for supper. We were told "no" and that outside food was not permitted. I've been to many hotels for ball tournaments and other functions and these kind of amenities are usually available...not here. And the comment about outside food not allowed was just another point of contention. The rooms were clean and nice, but the bathroom was one of the smallest I've encountered in a hotel. We had a suite, which had 3 TV's. Only 2 of the remotes worked. Lastly, do not by any means put any extra money into the vending machines. They take bills, not only change. On 3 different occasions these machines took $5 extra dollars each time, and the front desk would not refund the loss. They would only tell you to contact the vending company for refunds. Really? These machines are in the hotel for the guests convenience, by the hotel. It should be their responsibility. Paying $7.50 for a gingerale was just another annoyance or inconvenience upon others. I would stay again if I had limited options, but at least I will have learned about some of the issues to expect now.

Great rooms, but front desk consistently poor and disappointing housekeeping service The room was spacious and updated, but the front desk service was sub-par. Each time we approached the front desk we had to wait in line or specifically ask for assistance. Often the person working the front desk was busy with paperwork and didn't acknowledge our presence and/or greet us first. When my wife and I were assisted the service was positive and they were very flexible with the swimming passes. We didn't appreciate being greeted by the cigarette smoke of staff at the rear entrance. Our room overlooked the service entrance -- not a great view. When we arrived in our room there was someone (not a guest) hanging around outside our window (presumably an employee?). We did ask for another room that had a better view with a bit more privacy, but that wasn't available for our two-night stay, so the front desk person gave us a small discount for the inconvenience -- that was appreciated. But Monday morning around 7:30 am we were woken up with the sounds of a delivery truck and staff. We had a snack and multiple drinks at Tavern United. The customer service was good and they made poutine for us, even though it wasn't on the menu, but the four different alcoholic drinks that were ordered were all watered down or had poor mixes. While it's not uncommon to receive a poorly made margarita, the other three drinks were equally poor. It could have just been a bad bartender -- we don't know. The main pool area was well-maintained, but the switch for the water slide was not working when we arrived. Fortunately, staff was able to get it started without using the public switch, but it was yet another snafu. We left our room for much of the day on Sunday, but when we returned around 3 pm housekeeping had not yet done their work. We asked the front desk to have that taken care of and they did while we left for another two hour period ... but when we returned, the bathroom sink area was not well done -- the cup by sink was not replaced with a new one. Again, we've been to many hotels over the years and this was another "first time" for us. Last, I forgot my bathing suit on the bathroom door hook. Friends came by around 6 pm to pick it up (we had already left the city) and the bathing suit was not to be found. We're not sure what to think of it, but we don't understand how it did not end up in lost and found.

New Years Day breakfast was a little alarming this year because of a mix up on deciphering the menu. Saw the Holiday Breakfast on the menu, showing THREE eggs, choice meat and toast for $9.99 and ordered one of those. Saw the New Year Special showing THREE eggs, two of each meats ( bacon, sausages, and ham), toast or two pancakes $13.99, also ordered one of those. Plus two coffees. What we received was ONLY TWO EGGS on either plate. Asked waitress about discrepancy, said she would find out. FIFTEEN MINUTES LATER, ask her about eggs and she said, your eggs are being made now. Told her, but we are all finished with the meat and toast/pancakes! I'll find out, she says. Hostess comes over and says there was a mistake made on the menu that was printed (60 COPIES). We said, but how is that our problem, usually B&E is $7.99 and you charged $9.99 & 13.99 ? I'll find out, hostess says. 20 MINUTES LATER, we are presented with the bill, which shows a $3.00 refund per order plus $2.95 for each coffee plus refills for a total of $40.03. As I bring the bill up to the payout counter, I scoop a menu that we ordered from and take it to the hostess. She grabs the bill I'm reading from and says, I'll correct it. Five minutes later, she excuses the restaurant for making the error and presents us a bill for $38.97, at least she's going in the right direction. We previously penned a napkin and calculated the two orders og $14 & 10, plus 2 coffees at $6.00 equalled $30.00 plus 12% tax of S3.60, making a total of $33.60 in rough figures would have been our bill taking in account that there was a mistake made on the menu. The hostess made a point of saying, I took off for the eggs, and said your total is $38.97. I gave her $40 and waited for the change of a dollar five. Never once did we hear the waitress explain to any patron the mistake on the menu or an offer to reduce the price of a meal. Take this for what it is worth and watch the short changing from menu to final bill. The meal was good, the hassle with the bill wasn't.

The room was dated but very clean and had everything we needed! The kids loved the pool and slide. Our only complaint was regarding the pool maintenance man. We were in the hot tub the second day and this man came and was very abrupt in telling us only 5 people in the hot tub. There are no signs anywhere with this rule. He came back 30 minutes later and yelled at a new group of kids and told them that if there is more then 5 people next time he came back he will close it down. We are on our holidays and the last thing we want to do is police the hot tub and have to tell new comers they can’t come in. Sure enough, 30 minutes later he came and closed it down because there was 6 kids in the large tub. It is a long weekend and people stay at this hotel for the slide and hot tub. Everyone else that worked at this Canad Inns was great. But this man was rude and on some power trip. (He even said 5 people with not even a foot of another person can be in the water…come on!!!!) We did talk to the front desk, but they didn’t do anything about it. So, the hot tub was closed down for a couple hours on our long weekend vacation. Ugh.

Was having brunch in their restaurant. Aaltos. To which what I ordered was ABSOLUTE NONSENSE. Nothing like what I read. Taco salads arent limp lettuce, small cubes of chicken and chips......complained of course to which the floor manager who barely spoke English properly brings me a menu and claimed i still had to pay for the dish I had ordered, to which made me more upset at the fact I didn't even touch the PLATE. I don't know who put her in charge of that place considering her English Is off, she puts on a "Fake smile" to seemingly seem polite, and to top it off I got some guy screaming purposely so I'd hear, and couldn't say it to my face. Wasn't even an apology from that either. The waitress is the only reason I'll give 4 stars for the service because she was very polite and friendly, and SHE apologized. Not that manager with clearly zero floor managing skills as I've worked in that field before. I will not be returning here and just letting everyone know if you aren't happy with your meal. You still gotta pay full price. Not even a dock off the bill.

Due to the proximity of my work, I have stayed here many times in the past couple of years. The rooms are pretty good. Nice beds and sound proofed well. I would recommend a king room on the second floor. The service of the hotel in total is some of the worst I've ever seen, it feels as if your over staying your welcome in each of the areas you go in. For the most part, the front desk is friendly. Unless you have a complaint or issue. The food here sucks, actually its terrible. No way around that one, the buffet is ok in the restaurant area closest to the lobby. It resembles 2nd rate bush camp food. The lounge furthest from the lobby, could possibly be the worst establishment I have experienced . Drinks are similar to small town pub quality, the service is non existent and the food is here exceptionally bad. There are pro's to this hotel however. Cleaning staff are good and the off sale staff are friendly. The parking is good, the halls and neighbours are usually quite and it's close to many amenities. All in all its a good place if you need just a room, but if your like me and live out of hotel rooms go to the casino down the road.

It was the worst experience I have ever had, we went for breakfast with family here and waited for almost 2 hours for our food because of the chef. When we had to pay we had to pay the full amount which shouldn't have happened, They are not only unprofessional but resist. I can't believe the way they treat people here. They also refused to give my family extra bracelets for the pool not that anyone was wearing them in there. They wanted my family to wear them while they had to do shopping and running around, they do not live in Winnipeg. I will not be going back nor letting anyone I know go here. I wanted to do my bachelorette party here but after what we went through it will never happen. They aren't doing anything about this so please keep in mind for when booking to look at reviews.

2 nights stay was a nightmare, the room I got was in the first floor across Housekeeping room. Very noisy and will wake you up early morning. I didn't bother requesting for another room for I didn't had time. Second night, I downloaded a white noise app on my phone to help block the sound coming from Housekeeping room. It is the endless opening and closing of doors that really annoys me. The white noise app helped a bit but a very loud banging sound of a door woke me up again 6:30 am. (I guess this is pretty early when you are vacationing) I can't helped it anymore so I looked outside my room and there were 2 guys making very loud noise cause they were trying to open their room door, I do not know what happened to them or why they were banging the door but it was 2 nights of awfulness.

I was there last night. The service was fantastic as always. However, i ordered country fried steak and eggs, and the kitchen had no idea how to prepare a proper white gravy to top the steak. What i received was brown beef gravy with mushrooms thrown in. Anybody who's had this dish anywhere knows that's completely wrong. The server was great and got it remade and i didn't have to pay for it but it was just brown gravy again but with milk or cream in it to lighten it. To make a proper gravy you start with a roue, grease and flour in the skillet toasting the flour. Then you add milk or cream to it and salt and pepper. That's it. Easy to do. But the cooks couldn't figure it out. I've included a photo of the remade dish that was still wrong and a photo of how it's supposed to look.

There is a lot to like here - a pool, hot tub and slide and a pub (thanks Paige, Brandi, and Tiffany!). Good for families, food and drink options for adults. Location puts it close to shopping and a few other food options. The problems - some of the staff treated us CN people as if we were a problem and an annoyance. Food is hit or miss, sometimes good and sometimes a complete miss (the pizza wasn't worth it. Ever.). Something about the hotel (may be beds or pillows or the slamming doors at all hours) made it impossible for me to get a full good night sleep in my three weeks here. In contrast, one night at the Club Regent due to a power outage at the Transcona and I slept like a baby. The good outweighs the bad, and 3 stars it is.

It's either that Canadians are just very friendly, helpful, accommodating, and polite people or this place is just that! Special mention to Andy and Jaspreez at the check in desk, and the Assistant Manager Jalen. I have very high standards when it comes to cleanliness and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who appreciates nice, very clean, comfortable rooms. The whole facility is well maintained and cared for. It shows pride in every level. Amenities are great. Beds are comfy. Water pressure good. Close to everything. And best of all, priced right. They have a family restaurant and a pub. We ate breakfast at the restaurant every morning and they are delicious, generous portions, and reasonably priced.

My son and I have mini vacations at hotels within the city. This was our first time going to the transcona location and we were pleasantly surprised!! We spend most of our time at the pool, and immediately I noticed how clean the pool the area was. In comparison to the Windsor park location this is a huge win for me! Old band aids and empty cans stashed in fake plants just grosses me out. Although before 9am I woke up to cleaning staff knocking on doors to clean rooms .. and my key card expiring before check out time when we were getting in our last swim before we had to leave... Everything else was fantastic!! We definitely will be return customers!

The location of the hotel wasn't bad, close to lots of amenities. With the exception of laundry, if you are staying for an extended period of time be prepared to travel a lot or pay a lot. The closest laundromat is about 10 minutes away in a car and the hotel laundry is roughly $20 per load. The hotel restaurant is decent, the afternoon staff has a few new hires who are very very friendly and helpful however the morning staff seemed to be grouchy and would give lots of attitude to anyone who had dietary restrictions or asked for changes. The hotel itself was in just okay repair. My bathroom smelled like urine from the time I arrived until the time I left and was never dealt with.

  • Annabel Townsend

Not the most attractive end of town but that's not a big deal! We got the 2 bedroom suite and it was ideal for a family holiday, and pretty good value too. Clean and comfy, just a little stuffy in the one bedroom that didn't have the a/c unit in. Friendly helpful staff. The main attraction was the pool which was exactly what the kids wanted out of our trip. Hot tub was lovely, the waterslide was a lot of fun and everything was clean and safe looking. If you stay here, take advantage of the hotel's location and go for breakfast at Ben and Florentines down the road and avoid the awful Aaltos buffet.

I arrived at the hotel Tuesday February 18 2020 I was very distressed as my boyfriend had just passed away and his company put us in this hotel. Upon arriving the next morning to the coffee shop I noticed that the management had gave me a plant with a $50 gift card in it I have never seen anybody in my life be so kind and considerate to me and I recommend this hotel to anybody for its hospitality friendliness cleanliness and location. Will definitely be back to this hotel when in the area. Thank you so very much Linda Hollas ( Quick transfer moving company)

I'm giving the 5 star specially to the manager on duty in Club regent casino. We mistakenly booked our reservation in the Casino instead of Canad Inn Destination center transcona and we have kids who were looking forward to play in the pool. To our dismay, the staff in transcona said there are no available spots. So we've decided to go to the club regent and see if we can cancel it instead and just go home, the manager was too nice to cancel our reservation and went over and beyond to call transcona canad inn and confirmed that there is a newly vacated room for us! We gladly went back to transcona and were grateful for their service!

  • Ryan Potter

Only booked the room because I needed a hotel with a hot tub. Called before purchasing the room to confirm amenities were open. As per experience, this hotel chain is terrible for not having everything operational. The lady at front desk told me hot-tub was open got to the hotel 2hrs later and hot tub was closed for maintenance. Asked for a refund or to transfer to another hotel in the city and she refused. I asked to speak to manager and she said she would call me. 5 days later still no response from hotel. The service gets worse every time.

Facility is above average because of having two 2 restaurants. The Tavern offers above average bar good so if you are staying over and don't want to eat at the buffet you can satisfy your hunger at the tavern. Great selection of wing flavours. The eye candy is pretty good as well. Enjoy. The downside right now is the renovations in progress. I suspect they will be completed in about 4 to 5 months. After I am thinking my rating will go to a 4. Great staff at this facility. Quite a bit of CN employees however no so much to affect the ambiance. Enjoy....

Dear Tracy Gehring Here in Pakistan, a travel agency is giving jobs offer letters to job seekers and telling the story that Marriott Grand Altan hotel Winnipeg Canada, is going to buy Canad Inns Winnipeg Canada branch this year in March. And he is taking money from the job seekers too. Is it true that Canad Inns Winnipeg Canada will be sold to Marriot Grand Altan hotel Winnipeg Canada? Please I need specific answer because many people are paying heavily too get these jobs. So please be specific about it. We don't want to be victim of any job scam.

We had a good room.. fridge a bit small but staff is super nice and accommodating.. My only dislike was the fact that there was not a lot available for my youngest daughter. Xbox in the room was good for my older two but... The one thing she did have was the kiddie pool, which was closed for maintenance in the morning of our second day... This was not great as she had nothing to do after that except hit the hot tub but that only lasts five minutes she's afraid of the big pool and slide... So last day pretty much is sucking for her right now lol.

  • Glenn Bewcyk

The ambassador rooms were very nice for the wedding we attended. The food was somewhat lacking. The soup didn't have the same amount flavour as it did at my wedding at club regent. I got the chicken and it was overcooked and dry, otherwise tasty. The bar ran out of red wine before dinner even started. The dessert was delicious! Also had a mishap where it was difficult for our table to get any coffee. We had to ask 3 or 4 times. I've been to other events at other Canadian inns locations and they have been great. This one fell kinda flat.

  • Pat Mc Devitt

Pool was good. But.. that's about it Then reached out and asked for more detail but left no contact info either then a name via generic copy and paste reply. Service was sub par. Pool was fun but we had to clean up the food left behind before swimming. Room was nice but was not as clean as I would expect and smelled a bit off. As far as business travel, decent spot As far as family goes. Take it for what it's worth I guess.

I had a great time at Canadian Inns Destination Centre Transcona! We had our holiday party in the conference rooms downstairs and it sure was a fun time. There was a DJ with light show and mirror ball. The staff was kind and attentive. Whenever someone finished their meal the staff would be out in no later than a minute to pick up your plate and cutlery! They would also fill water up on a regular basis. All in all the conference rooms were spacious and clean. The staff was great and the food was quite tasty.

Hallways and rooms smell like smoke despite being a smoke free hotel. Internet is horrendous, just barely beating dial up speeds (I'm not exaggerating, check my pic). It's 2017, come on. Microwave in the room hasn't been cleaned in some time, food splatter everywhere. If you stay more than one night they will not change your bedding. Ever. I stayed for two weeks before I had to specifically ask for a fresh set of sheets. I'm skeptical if they even change them between guests as long as they look clean.

  • Koddos

I have given a 3/5 because the service is great, the restaurant has very good food, and a very modern looking hotel. The thing I am sad about his how hot the rooms can become at night. Temperatures can reach up too 20-30 degrease on a hot night. Not a comfortable stay through summer, but when I stayed here during winter, it was perfect. I gave the location a 1/5 because it’s near a total of about 3 stores.

If you're on a budget this is an okay hotel. The room quality was poor with the expectations they sell on booking sites. Mold in the shower, ac was broken and the bed felt like it'd been pounded out over the past 30 years. Only reason it's a 2 star, is because the front desk staff were very hospitable.

We rented 2 rooms overnight. We were not very impressed. Bar fridge was not working properly. Found bathroom to be unclean. Lots of renovations happening throughout the hotel. Aalto's restaurant is another story. Never eat there again. Waited 15-20 minutes to be seated although there was no one in there & waited 45 minutes to get our breakfast. Waitresses were very slow. We decided never to return there.

Good place to stay with kids. The pool has a big water slide and one of the restaurants has a buffet. There is also an Irish pub attached to the hotel for after the kids are in bed. I stayed here with my 2 year old and he had a blast! Staff was helpful while being almost unnoticeable. I would stay here again, they also have many discounts including one if you're in the city for medical reasons.

I was at the Tavern United in Windsor Park. It was a good experience. The wings were delicious. The five alarm sauce was super spicy and delicious. Had some Rye and cokes and a Stanley park beer. They had the Gold medal game on for the world Juniors on plenty of television screens. there was even trivia to play during the down time. Great experience. Service was quick and attentive as well.

I only have a superficial impression from the lobby and front desk staff as I only stopped in to inquire as to monthly rentals which were not available. That said, and despite my odd hour of arrival, the staff was entirely courteous, friendly, efficient and helpful. The lobby and visible adjoining spaces were immaculate. Good job Canad Inns Destination Regent team! You are most impressive!

I wasn't there for a room. Went for the breakfast buffet. I was not disappointed! The hostess(if I spell this wrong, forgive me, Mirena was her name) was a remarkable lovely lady who made sure the tea was topped up and the food was to our liking. The bacon was better then I expected also!

We decided to give Aaltos a try after the good reviews we read, but our experience was not a good one. The food was over cooked (even though there was hardly any people in the restaurant at the time) and the unpleasant server was not very helpful. Maybe only the buffet experience is good On a pleasant note once we paid and expressed our concern they reduced our bill.

  • Taylor D

Attended a day-long conference here in the downstairs hall. The staff was kind and helpful, the hall and washroom was clean. The hall was accessible by stairs or elevator. The washrooms only offer male or female rooms and lack a gender neutral option. The food was delicious, though there was a delay on two of the trays that held up the line.

It was very frustrating in the fact they wouldn't take a cash damage deposit for a room. They would only accept a credit card which not everyone has therefore we were unable to get a room. In my opinion cash is a totally acceptable form of payment and they need to look into their policy and allow everyone a chance to book a room Thanks for taking time to read this

  • Jacquie LaRiviere

We were informed hours before check in that our room had been damaged and we would have to stay at another location. We informed them this was not acceptable. They called back and gave 2 adults a queen size bed and 2 bunkbeds. The walls are so thin we were awaken by a child in the next room having an hour long tantrum. Highly do NOT recommend!

Hotel looks like it was recently renovated on the inside don't let the outside fool you rooms are like new. There is no breakfast included but they did have a good-looking breakfast for purchase. Good location lots of amenities around. Had an awesome pool area with a big waterslide. It wasn't overcrowded like your typical chain hotel.

The service and food was great. And it was very clean. Our waiter was so nice and she came by often ,even though it was so busy. The washrooms were so clean. That is a huge bonus.

Went to Altos for bunch with the family after church. Buffett was huge with lots of items to choose from though the set up for the waffle station needs improvement doesn’t make sense for the staff to cook a waffle then bring it to the person’s table to only have them come back up to put condiments on. Room was a room. TV has bare minimum cable package. Breakfast was good, price was high. ($15 for eggs and toast...) A/C not working in room. Chose this location just due to proximity to industrial work.

I travel a lot for work and this is prolly the BEST BUFFET I've ever had. The staff here are AMAZING, super friendly and very accommodating. Got an allergy, no problem. Celiac? Also no problem. Friday night Lobster, Saturday night Prim Rib. Weekend brunch, delicious. Does not disappoint.

  • Brittany Perrin

Needs updating, bathroom needs work as it's very dated. Spacious room, with a king size bed. Would be nice for more blanket options, we got 2 thin sheets and a huge thick comforter with nothing in between. So I was either cold or hot at night. But the service was good at the front desk.

  • Shlomo Stackman

Rooms are ok fairly unimpressive. Food is ol at the tavern but the service is total garbage everything takes forever to come out. I once sat at the bar for like 4hrs and no one once asked me if I wants a drink the waitresses don't have a clue. The food is not that good at altos.

  • BadBrowny (keko0o0o0)

Was there at 3:10AM delivering orders. The Asian short lady at the front desk is a dire need for manners adjustment. You can tell she's too comfortable to the point she won't even look at you when she's talking to you or you're talking to her. I'll make sure to spread the news.

You can't go wrong coming to an Altos. There is ALWAYS a good menu selection. Mother's day brunch..a VERY good variety of food. It all looked sooo good. I chose off of the regular menu however as I go overboard at such well appointed buffets. Great service, friendly waitresses.

If you are looking for any kind of vegetarian food these guys socks big time. They only have fruits or just salad or potatoes, doesn't matter you are having breakfast, Lunch or dinner.

Had my Birthday party there. Friends & family had dinner...food good. Many stayed the night. Rooms clean & comfortable. Little ones enjoyed the pool & water slide. Only complaint is you can't see your kids getting on the water slide and entrance/exit is on the way up.

  • Katy unruh

I find this chain less enthusiastic about your stay. It's somewhat comfortable, but noise can be the main issue. It's a good family hotel in my opinion. Has a restaurant and kid friendly activities. For business travel, I would prefer a quieter place to stay. More

Nice place. Excellent and friendly staff. Currently under re-construction so you should confirm whether your room renovations are finished. 2 night clubs and a restaurant. Lots of free local parking. Minutes from shopping and casino.Great place to host an event.

  • Jason Kiyan

Sadly a very poor evening out tonight. Our waitress seemed to be unaware that refills and table checks were a thing. Sent wings back because they were cold. Manager apologized which was a nice touch but would much rather have just had good service and hot food.

  • Trent Carriere

The service here has been fantastic and friendly. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. (Kudos to housekeeping for their hard work) We normally stay on the 3rd floor. The kids love the pool and water slide.

The service was great. Drinks were brought promptly and without any gaps. We ordered the half rack of ribs and the quality was not quite there for the food. The ribs seemed to be of lower grade meat. The service helped make up for the food. We will go back.

Had the breakfast buffet - my bf is picky and thought he wouldn't like it, but we both loved it! The food was fresh when we went, and they had a large selection even though they call it "express." Service was also great. We'll definitely go again!

I don't know why I even bother giving Tavern United another chance. We waited an hour for our lunch, while on a timed lunch, and of course, I had to get it to go, because it took a whole hour to get my food. A burger and fries. If you can't

The hotel was good rooms themselves were clean and spacious a lacking a bit of sound barriers as I could hear phone calls is the next room that were just being spoken in a normal volume. The food was lacking very small portions of protein.

Nashville Event Centre..venue for Honeymoon Suite was wonderful. Great staff and a safe fun concert! Great 80's videos playing before. Cash only for drinks so make sure you come prepared. For such a reasonable price it was a great evening.

  • brianna mason

The room is all together good but let me talk about the pool!!!!! They no joke were intending to kill me....... the night I stayed there I was coughing up really harshly it gave me a major head ace and while I was walking up the slide my

This is probably the biggest hotel in portage la prairie. It's clean and the beds are comfortable. It has a full restaurant and a huge pub attached to it with lots of selection for food. There's also a full size gym that's complimentary

Very secured and updated from when I stayed in a Canada inns room quite a few years ago. The splashers waterpark is what my rating is for. Nice to have but sooo dangerous. No view of the slide stairwell from the pool so kids need to be

The food at The Tavern is good. I would appreciate a little more quiter rooms (nothing to with the hotel or its staff itself though). Bathrooms feel a little cramped. All in all an okay place to stay around Club Regent.

  • Heather Lavallee

Great place to stay for 3 or 4 days if you're on a business trip or if you're with kids, great place to stay with a water slide. Well definitely stay again.

Good wing nights Wednesdays and Thursdays. Lots of flavors. Happy hour drinks are a ok deal. Wings are a bit smaller than I remember. Smash burger is very good, better when it includes a beer.

  • Marian Warner

The kids theme room was great, my son enjoyed it so much! Room was clean. Staff was friendly at the restaurant and the food was fantastic! Pool was cold. Overall it was a great time!

  • Macey Matthewman

The manager at the tavern was very good. When she saw our server had not been to our table for a while she got us drinks. Our food was very good and lots of options for new drinks.

  • Krista Shyntak

Nice size rooms. Great restaurant (Aaltos) had the Friday night seafood. It was AWESOME. Great pool and slide. My kids love it. We were visit Family that were staying at the Hotel.

I was here for a conference. The food was decent, servers friendly in the restaurant and in the conference room. Typical chain hotel place but clean. No issues at all.
