I need ANSWERS! Let's start at the beginning. I have been running (driving) all over the place today (because life, and I don't need to justify to you, canada post, why I'm busy). So, I wasn't home when you came to "deliver" (in quotes, because your idea of delivering is putting a notice card, then scurrying away like a frightened soft jellybean) my package. However, my HUSBAND was HOME, (according to your website, you were here just after 4pm), but...you DID NOT attempt to knock, because he would have heard if you did! No..instead, you slipped the notice card in the mail slot like the useless paperclip you are. I hurry home after my errands because I'm tracking that my package is out for "delivery" according to your useless app, which never notifies me until it is too late. Well, what do I see? The infamous NOTICE CARD! Oh I was so delighted to see that beautiful piece of paper, instead of my package..NOT! I call up the canada post on the notice card (if it's not clear, it's the canada post location I'm complaining about in this review), the guy puts me on hold for almost 15 minutes, so I drive over there and expect a long line of hungry customers, but noooo.. There's one customer in line (I'm 5 mins drive away from this canada post, if there was a long line, it wouldn't have moved much in the time it took me to get there). Like buddy, (he's indian, average height, slim build, no it's not racist to describe him, I'm indian too) you don't even have many customers so why did you put me on hold for so long? I go up, show my notice card and identifications, he doesn't make much effort to look for my package, and says it's not there, maybe it's in the depot.. (Incompetent employee number one). I ask if he can contact the driver, he says NO. I ask for canada post customer service phone number because I'm busy and the sunday and monday that I'm free, canada post is closed (I know, not their fault for the being closed), and want to ask where the hell my package is and when the hell will I get it, so he gives the number. I call the number and go through the menu options to speak to a live human, and stay on hold until I take my shoes off at home, because once I'm home, I decide I will write a ticket online. Nah..even that doesn't go through because my address is saved as my parents address (where I used to live), and it will NOT let me put in another address, and I'm not about to make another email address so I can make another canada post account to attempt to submit a ticket. My questions are: Why is your customer service absolute garbage? Why do you continue to hire incompetent idiots? Why do you not deliver even when someone is home? Do you enjoy making your customers frustrated, do you enjoy making them cry? Where is your depot, so I will go there next time because I know for a fact that there will be more notice cards in future "deliveries" but no package at the location on the card? And last, but not least, because this is the most important question, WHERE is my package?! I'm busy all day Tuesday. I will be at your store on Wednesday if my schedule allows, and I very much HOPE that you have my package waiting for me, or else I may break down crying in front of everyone at that mall (like I cried at home when submit ticket wasn't letting me go through the address step). Thank you for your time. Please have a worse evening than what you made me endure. Bye.
Can't say much about sending out mail/packages as I rarely send out anything, but I always choose canada post for my Amazon returns and drop it off here as it's walking distance from my place. For returns: here you come to learn that you can just drop off your return on the table and let them know it's a return and walk away. No line up. The staff will scan your order right away if it's not busy or keep it with other returns for later in the evening before closing when they check and scan everyone's returns. I always get my return & refund notification the same evening or next day, unlike some other carriers where it can take up to a week which always makes me worry that it didn't go through. Note: there seems to be a lot of complaints about packaging tape? The one time I mailed something out I was carrying extra tape in my bag and lent it to another customer who hadn't tapped her box. Although it may seem unfair that you have to buy packaging tape for 1 package ... I always thought it was common sense to seal your package before dropping it off? Unless your paying for a box and for them to package it for you, packaging your parcel is your job? You can get packaging tape for about $2 (gst included) at dollarama.
They had stacks of empty card board boxes high to the ceiling against a whole wall. I was looking for a small box to send a parcel. I looked around for any labeling describing price or ownership, and found none. I took it and started to walk out. The husband and wife team looked up and started accusing me of stealing without asking. So i stepped back and took another good look for signs or prices, found none, again. I offered to buy the box instead. The guy working at the post office told me to go to the Hallmark store checkout. I walked there, stood there and waited for the till person to show up. 3 minutes later, the same guy at the post office walks to me, a literal 10 meters away, who accused me of stealing 3 minutes ago scans my small used card board box, pauses and contemplates and says 3$. I am trying to be polite, so I said no thanks and put the box back in his giant piles of boxes. I found free boxes at another store 30 meters down. I have lived around here for many years. I purposely avoid this office and use another one further away. I wish the Brentwood Post Office success at their new 2nd hand resale card board boxes business. Over priced, and stale merchandise with terrible customer services.
There is a reason why people is so sick with Canada Post. The "service" she provided here is a joke. She was trying to save paper and used all old paper with one side already printed for my shipping slip. The paper got stuck in once with only half of the page got printed out and the reference number/tracking page left blank, but she was not willing to redo it. She asked me to take a pic for the tracking, but I was requesting the other half of the shipping slip with reference number on it. She said everybody took a pic for tracking, which I thought it's ridiculous. I asked for a receipt at the end and she started to nod her head. Instead she yelled, take a pic and go! I usually judge people if they do not service professionally. But here, I do not need bother to evaluate. There is no service at all!! The whole shop is surrounded with this woman who is extremely RUDE and not even know how to communicate with customers. DON'T go there if you do not wanna get your day ruined.
I had a terrible experience with Canada post at Brentwood Calgary. I was trying to ship a small box to Toronto and the staff told me the cheapest way is purchasing an envelope. I followed his recommendation and filled in the address. The staff then told me the price would be more than $60! I was surprised and asked if there’s any cheaper options. he told me I can spent $25 and it takes 6 days. I felt it’s too long and remembered last time I used a box and it’s faster with reasonable price. Only after I asked he told me the box is four days and it’s less than $25 (but why didn’t he tell me earlier?). So I ended up with choosing the box but he insisted to charge me the envelope as well. But even after 6 days the parcel is still not arrived. So disappointed and feel the staff is so unprofessional!
The store closes unpredictably and randomly during their own posted hours, so good luck if you need to pick anything up from here. Staff are not helpful. The place doesn't even have a listed phone number (nowhere on the internet, nowhere on the receipt) so if you have to call them, good luck. If you need to contact them, you'll probably have to drive over to this decrepit, run-down, sad mall, HOPE that they're ACTUALLY OPEN during their stated hours, and hope someone is working who will A) be willing to help you, and B) actually be capable of answering your question. Utter trash. This place makes me want to train carrier pigeons so I can handle my own mail and never have to set foot inside again.
Since the change in management, we have noticed some issues with service over the last year or so, particularly with parcels, though the staff is alway friendly and helpful. It is typically a busy post office location, which might account for some of the little issues. We've had a few hiccups wiht parcels, either not receiving a notification of delivery (and the item was sent back), late notifications, or notifications for packages already picked-up months prior. We also get "old" mail on occasion or someone else's mail by mistake (always return these items), which typically isn't an issue unless related to a statement or bill.
Most Incompetent run Canada post Iv ever seen. The people there dont know what they are doing. Needed to ship an item for a customer, they gave me the wrong Xpress package and try to make me pay for their mess up, and they try to blame it on me. I fought with them until i only have to pay the different. I am pretty sure they lied about the price. Avoid this place at all cost. Its worth the trip and time to drive to another location to avoid such unprofessional-ism. Would give a 0 if i could. Also, im pretty sure many of those 5 Stars are bots/friends of the owners, since anyone who comes here knows its terrible.
Terrible service. Got a notice that my package was going to be there at 1pm, went later that day at 5pm. Was told to come back in 20 minutes since their delivery man just got there. Went back and was told that it was not there and that they could not gaurentee anything. When my boyfriend called in later they told him that they had received the package and had sent it back to the depot because they weren't my designated postal office, even though they're a block from my house. Now I don't know where my package is. Thank you for asking so much of my time. The most inconsiderate people ever.
One the slowest Canada Posts ever. The person who helped me was eating her food and told me she will finish dealing with my packages after she finishes eating . Super ignorant of the main customer service basic facts all the time . Lack of listening and paying attention to customers needs. On top of that , there is no social distancing measures or signs there and the next customer was less than one meter away from me . I will never go back there , and don't suggest the Canada Post location to anyone specially if you have more than one item to ship.
My experience does not match the mostly negative comments on this thread... but it does seem like this mall has fallen on hard times, and that management has responded by slashing the staffing budget, meaning that the staff who are at this location are helpful, dedicated, but hopelessly overworked and not given the support they need (nor anybody to cover when one of them needs to leave the store). They have always been helpful to me so far, but perhaps potential customers might expect delays that are not the fault of the front line staff.
I could not believe what I was experiencing. The store was closed when I arrived at approx 2:10; a sign indicated they would be back in 25 minutes. One woman traveled in and out of the store giving the excuse each time that she needed to close in order to get lunch. Then she needed to get soap because there wasn't any in the public washroom?!? There were 3 of them in the backroom of the store "having lunch" despite the 3 people waiting outside. Regrettably, this is where Canada Post brings my mail otherwise I would never return.
Every I call this post office she puts me on hold and then I sit on hold for 10 minutes while she helps 3-5 people and I have to sit there and listen to it. I currently am trying to call back but the line is busy because she has yet to put the phone back on the receiver. Also several times I have gone to pick up a package she will only check the computer and quickly say "no it's not here" and won't even check the back and quickly dismisses my questions because "she knows every parcel that comes through" there.
I received a notice that a package for me would be delivered to this post office in one business day after they delivered it to my house when I wasn't home. It has now been almost a week and they're still saying they don't have my package. On top of that, the tracking number for my package doesn't work on their website and they tell me there is no package linked to my postal code even though a package was delivered to my house when I wasn't home. Thanks a lot Canada Post.
People are so dumb! They need training how to work! I have to teach how to set up a printer! The guy told me that my courier is still in transit. But, I got that notice that says the courier has been returned to this branch! I was polite and I visited 3 times and he said it’s in transit! I lost my patience and told that I will report it to the branch, then he started searching and he gave my courier! It was in the back and he was lazy to check!
Terrible service, and I would call it as an abuse. This manager told me that I have to give them an English address of the recipent or go to some place else. I told them that I just marked the country of the recipent and I have been sending my parcel to the other coutries without English address from other outlets without any problem. How many places in the world without English address and we can not send mail or parcel to them?
So it isn't the staff that is a problem here, she was very very nice, it was Canada Post that sucked in this case. Poor lady was having technical issues with equipment they installed so I waited 30 minutes or more while she tried to get IT help from them. Line of us couldn't get simple services and the lady was so embarrassed I felt awful for her. No wonder people hate using Canada Post.
First time they claimed they "attempted to deliver but failed" even though I was at home the whole time, and no one knocked or called. Then I waited for the second time delivery, same thing happened, and the status of my package changed to "a notice was left for pick up" even though I was unable to find a notice anywhere. Your delivery service is a joke.
I went to this place to confirm my identity and 3 separate times they could not confirm and would not help me confirm at all even getting packages they either lose them and camt find them or just forgot where they were and sending something out is a huge hassle in its own I would highly suggest going somewhere else
If you choose 'Chaos Post', you might as well send it by donkey train. My friends in the U.S. and Europe received their packages from New York in about five business days at the most. Mine took over a month to arrive..., as per usual. Our tax dollars at work! Only 'Air Chaos' may be worse, but a hard call.
Great service when my package was lost, not lost by the retail store but mistake was made by Canada Post, and rectified by the Canada Post delivery employee as well, going out of his route to fix the mistake. Retail store owner called me immediately once the delivery employee showed up with the package.
No Idea why the reviews for this Canada Post office are so low. The lady who helped me was super kind and extra helpful to make sure I had everything I needed and my package would be processed without issue. Highly recommended! I will definitely be using this Post Office going forward
Customer service is horribly rude at this location. Unhelpful and short-lipped. You ask them for a sharpie? They ask why you didn't bring your own! You ask for some tape? They make you buy the whole roll! Each and every time... Gotta love a postal service that hinders mail delivery.
IDK what peeps are complaining about. I use this post office a lot being a avid Amazon shopper. Never had any issues with pick up. Today she really went above and beyond helping me get my student loans papers sorted and sent in, which is great because I had no idea what I was doing.
Stood in line for 30 minutes then was refused service because there were “too many parcels to sort through”. It’s your bloody job. Then he continued to help people after me rather than helping me. You can’t just refuse service because you don’t want to do it. Complete BS.
Convenient place (close to my home) to get the courier done and receive packages. Staff is friendly, well trained and went out of their way to assist me with securing the lowest parcel delivery rates + the correct packaging for an international courier that I had to do.
Terrible service, have called multiple times to be left on hold for 20 mins+ and never got a call back. Was left a note on my door saying to pick up following day at location, came after 1pm as stated and they have no package and says package does not exist.
I've had good experiences here with friendly staff that have been able to get me my packages on-time or earlier than the recommended pick-up time. It has been opened late on a few occasions forcing me to wander Safeway and the surrounding storefronts.
Slowest post office in Calgary for sure. Everytime I've gone here I've waited 20+ minutes even if there's only 2 people ahead of me. The other low star reviews definitely match my experience here. I'll do anything I can to avoid this location.
I went there the other day to sent an international package. Waited in line for a while because the staff is not the fastest to process things. When I reached the counter to get a customs form, I was told by the older lady that I had to
Worst post office in the city….slowest service out of any post office I’ve been to. Canada post needs to shut them down. People need to start calling the Canada Post 1-800 number and file a complaint. The fake 5 star reviews are a joke.
Absolute zero customer service. Can you imagine going to a post office and they tell you they have no tape to close your box but they ask you to buy it? Well welcome to the circus party at this location. Sorry but this place is a joke
Horrible service and poor supply of stamps. 1) They do not sell any stamp denominations under the Canada permanent stamp. So if you need 10 or 11 cent forget it. 2) Gave clerk CPost card for discount. He punched it in but no discount
My parcel has been missing for 2 days now. I was sent to two different locations and neither of them have it. Nobody knows where it is and all that they can say is that they will call, IF it shows up. Such a waist of time!
9/10 times I have to wait a long line. The tall male and old female staff are moderately efficient, the young female one is less so. If there is another PO in the neighborhood, I'll ship my packages there to pick up.
not sure what is wrong with all the reviews at this location, lady working behind the counter was very helpful and sweet and it was a really quick line too Must be other staff who are the source for poor reviews...
Terrible Run Post Office, NO STAMPS, NO BOXES, NO BUBBLE MAILERS! 1 STAFF ON AND LONG LINES AVOID AT ALL COST! Save yourself the disappointment and take the extra trip to the Northland Mall Post Office!
They don't follow their own posted hours. Current hours are actually 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm and no weekend hours. This location should not be a post office. Please put it back in the London Drugs.
Best Canada post location I've ever visited! The employee was kind, patient and super helpful. I saw him deal with all customers in this manner, yet the line moved fast still.
Massive long line-up to mail Xmas parcels and letters. Where's the clerk? Having lunch!! Terrible staff management and a store full of useless junk! Last time I go there!
This should not be a 2.2 rating! I was there today. A lovely lady served me. She was efficient and friendly just the right kid of service I'd expect from a Post office.
Ppl hatin on this place have zero patience empathy and probably hate their lives so yea The lady here knows what she’s doin and works hard so that’s perfect to me
Absolutely horrendous service. Always behind on sorting and never on top of their stuff. Lost a parcel once and I had to negotiate a reshipment from Hudson's Bay
This is the slowest, most inefficient outlet. Give yourself at least 30 min to pick- up a parcel. I wish this wasn't the default location to collect parcels.
Do not know why this location has mostly a negative feedback. Have always had good service regarding mailing packages and receiving them. Friendly staff
The man Srinivas who is working very diligently, very hard at Brentwood Canadapost, he did extra work after worktime to find my parcel. Really nice man!
Don't expect to get things done at this location, very often the staff isn't even there to assist you, their license should be taken away long time ago
It was great experience over here, she was well informed, kind and wrote address by herself on my request so that the package don’t get delayed.
The lady working at the post office, she was rly nice. When there was something wrong happened on my post label, she helped me to figure it out.
Hands down the worst location to ship anything. They made me buy tape to tape my shipping label. They also hassle you to always pay in cash.
They lost my package, and were rude to me about it. I am beyond pissed off at their service. Will return tomorrow to rectify their error
Worst canada post ever....charge me 8 dollars for 4 pages print.....3.5 dollars for a tape....and they did not answer my questions
One of the worst things about Canada is Canada Post. There is always a line that takes upwards of 20 minutes for grumpy workers
Great service....Manthan helped me a lot with money gram....explained the entire process and was over before I knew it...
This is the second time I have been here in the morning and they are still closed at 9:20 am (weekday). Unbelievable!
It’s just a Canada post collection centre not like the one in shoppers drug store …we can’t send anything from here…
Great service with great staff!Recommend everyone to visit the gift shop with a huge collection of gifts as well.
By far worst service: customer service does not exist there at all. the worst canada post I have ever meet.
They don’t have the national envelopes and the worker talking with a really impatient attitude.
The staff did an excellent job helping me today. They were friendly and went above and beyond.
Always a pleasant visit to this paticular Canada post. Staffs are approchable and helpful.
This privately run post office should be shut down. The worst outlet I have ever been to.
Simply the slowest and most lethargic service I have ever experienced at a Canada Post.
Very helpful staff with a complicated delivery. No hesitation to return in the future.
the lady there wasn't wearing a mask every time I visited. Please WEAR A MASK!!!!
Terrible service, letter never reached it's destination. Pretty much sums it up.
The postal clerk was helpful and very polite. Short and brief, i appreciated it
Awful service! Had to wait in line for three times to send a single package!
Says they open at 9, it's still locked up at 9:05 with no signs of life.
Very slow. Had to wait 30 minutes in the line to pick up a package. :|
Love my little local post office! They are always helpful & efficient.
I've always had a good experience here. Staff are polite and helpful.
Mean place to go, no service, rude. The owner do not care you at all.
The worst office ever, customer service doesn’t exist in the place.
I received good service and the staff was so friendly and helpful.
By far worst service: customer service does not exist there at all
The service is suck,do not go there unless you have no choice
Very good service, Deep was very patient to help me, thanks!

The staff was efficient but friendliness can be improved.
Rude, unprofessional. Do not know how to do their job..
Worst experience ever. Nor professional and very rude.
