Great Family Park & is also fun for ALL ages since there is not only a large & very nice playground area but they also have the walking path(which is a paved sidewalk), an exercise/work-out area), picnic area with bar-be-que pits, the very large pond(which the walking path goes around) the is fun for fishing & feeding the ducks & geese that live there @ the Park, & then it also has a very large field area where you can play football, soccer, disk golf, baseball, tag, softball, etc.! It is also has lots of trash cans & was kept pretty clean back when I brought my kids there pretty much daily back when my oldest(a girl) was between the ages of 3 to 7-8 years old & my youngest(a boy) was 1 to 5-6 years old (they are now 11 & 13 years old)!!! It was our family's favorite Park to go to & was only about a 5min drive from our old house on Santiago Ave. over by the Woodway Elementary School!!! So if you live in that area, have children or heck even if ya don't, I promise if you like the outdoors, & you haven't tried Candleridge Park...I promise you'll love it, Scout's Honor!!! ⚜️
I take my grandchildren there to play on the playground. The water area is peaceful, but please do not let your children play in the water for their our moccasins that live in the cement cracks around the water. Also it's nice to fish there but please don't eat the fish
Playground
The playground is under construction at this time. But when they're done with it it'll be a great place to take you're children
Dog-friendliness
There is a sidewalk that goes all the way around the water and the playground a lot of people take their dogs and walks there too and they are always on a leased and kind and so are the people
Picnic area
It's nice to have a picnic there while your children are playing
I like taking my kids here for little picnics and to feed the ducks and just have a good time. The playground area has two different play areas for different ages- toddlers and big kids, there's also a exercise area. It's doesn't have a portable toilet, or restroom facility though there are stores nearby that do. There's no parking lot so you have to park on the street. There are two covered picnic table areas and several benches scattered throughout the park. My only complaint is that the lake can be polluted at times and that smells bad. But overall this is a nice park and the other people who come here are respectful as well.
When I was a little girl, I used to play at this park. This place will always have a place in my heart. I recently visited with a friend to enjoy a nice and quiet picnic under the gazebo and thoroughly enjoyed my time. The park has stayed well maintained, it was clean, thriving, and beautiful. The pond was clean, filled with ducks and turtles. The ground was free of trash, the bridge was well cared for (we were safe from splinters), and the playground was small, pleasant and safe for children to enjoy. Very pleased to see that this place is still in good shape and I hope it remains that way. :)
This big, little park is nestled within a neighborhood. It has all the things. Strategically placed benches, trash cans, and doggy doo stations. Giant old trees, a creek, ducks and other various wildlife. Nicely paved walkways wide enough to accommodate passing. Equipment for the kids. Being adjacent to the neighborhood also means walking across the street to the park. It spans a huge portion of the neighborhood, so many get to enjoy its view from the comfort of their home.
Beautiful park. Very clean and spacious. Ducks, squirrels, and birds to enjoy. But... Parents of elementary aged children, the playground is not a drop-off spot for you to leave your children and go walk a few laps. I will say that not all children left alone are a nuisance. But it only takes one child to be loud and speaking in a vulgar manner to ruin a nice day in the park. If you're not hanging out at the play area, you're in the perfect park.
I live across the street from this park. I take my morning walks here, when I do them. They have a walking path around a beautiful small lake. The ducks are adorable. It's always a beautiful scene when I walk. They have a nice little playground for the kiddos to play and I play there too. It's just nice and it gets full sometimes on the walking path, but everyone so far have been courteous and friendly. It's a great to have in the neighborhood.
Candleridge Park was a treat to visit. It was nestled in a well kept and quiet neighborhood. It had plenty of open spaces and cool shady trees. There was also a paved path that encompassed a small creek bed. The path had several sturdy cool benches that were positioned in the best areas. My son and my little pet Chihuahua also thoroughly enjoyed all that the breezey and beautiful Candleridge Park had to offer.
Well it was the best in almost a year, let me explain the wife and I were getting lunch on the road and it was a beautiful day too, so i was thinking about a place to go and eat outside and we ended up at the Candleridge park and the very sight of seeing of people playing, jogging and birthday parties was absolutely heavenly. Suicide rate is up, Life is too short to be locked down.
We have been using Candleridge Park and French Lake for the walking trails. People and dog friendly! The creek litters up from time to time due to storms, but locals keep that pretty clean. City maintained, Candleridge HOA keeps after the City to keep the grass cut. Picnic tables and bbq stands in some areas. Some areas are nicely shaded, others are wide open. Nice park, overall.
Great place for exercise, or just getting a peace of mind. Beautiful lake and scenery.
Playground
Brand new playground
Dog-friendliness
Very dog friendly
Picnic area
Trees, benches, Pavillion with tables.... or, old fashioned blanket on the grass beside the lake. Lots of greedy ducks, squirrels and turtles, lol
Great place to walk or relax, geese and ducks, and the occasional turtle can be seen. Nice bridge for pictures. I have seen some homeless around every now and then towards the end of the evening, but that's to be expected at any park near apts. They aren't bothersome, never had anyone ask me for money or anything like that
I adore this place! I get to go everytime with my lover and especially when it’s night time. The stars reflect off of the little pond. The creek is nice and the ducks are friendly too! I recommend this place to go to with your lover, family or for partying! Maybe even if you need some time outside (Disc- NotBlushing#7880)
Large variety of equipment for all ages. I enjoy bringing my one year old here since there's a plastic toddler playground. I don't have to worry about her hurting herself as much, and it's a great way to transition them into the bigger playgrounds. There's even a swing that accommodates mothers with smaller children.
When I was growing up, this was always our favorite park to go to. It has a very nice walking trail, a couple of fields to play on, a medium-sized playground, and a lot more. It also has a pond with ducks in it, hence the nickname my family gives it, "The Duck Pond Park". Great park, a lot of memories were made here!
This is a linear park with a lengthy paved trail for walking, running, jogging, and bicycling. The trails run alongside a creek and the main center of the park features a small lake. The main center of the park also has a playground. While this park isn’t drop dead gorgeous, it is a nice place to unwind.
I love this park. It's peaceful and even though it's next to some shady apartments, we don't really get a lot of drama over here like we do at Patricia Le Blanc. This park is like right between the good and the bad neighborhood lol, and it gets a nice mixture of people. Never had any drama over here.
Park great for strolling or sitting on a nice bench under a shade tree. Large scenic pond with ducks, saw a guy fishing from edge. Stream fed. Wide spacious walkways. Pedestrian bridge at one point over stream. Family and pet friendly. Lots of people strolling. Very nice, comfortable experience.
New playground is very nice. Right now, they are dredging the lake, so the park is not at its best. Otherwise the rating would be 5 Stars. If you like feeding the ducks, they love it. If you like feeding the squirrels, bring walnuts or pecans. The ducks and geese don't like the nuts! More
This park has a nice trail around it, seems like visitors respect the beauty by cleaning after their pets. A few fishermen was spotted during my visit. Plenty of turtles, ducks and squirrels throughout the park. Nice play area for the kids along with seating around the walking path.
We walk here regularly. A nice neighborhood park where you'll see plenty of wizards uniting! Beautiful, still, but needs some shaded areas where people can sit.
Restrooms
They don't have any. And don't pee in the bushes!
Picnic area
Needs more shaded table areas!!
Nice park. Grew up here since I was a kid. Must say city needs trim the trees....otherwise a special place for me. Nice expanded walkways and the ducks are always chilling...sometimes they will come up to you...as they are used to people feeding them.
They are currently working on the playground and it was honestly kind of a bummer. It was very nice outside and there were literally like 70 people at the park, but the kids didn’t really have anywhere to play because they tore the playground down.
Nice park for a family walk. Park has a nice Lake with fountains and lots of ducks as well as large path that goes around it. Good place to walk the dog, go for a run, fly a kite, or feed the ducks with some bread. My family comes here frequently.
Love this park. I always bring my toddler here to feed the ducks. While me and my son's throw the pigskin around a bit. There's enough safe playground equipment for all the kids. And enough field space to throw to Superbowl games . …
Landscape was very good, very pleasant, peaceful away from the hustle and bustle of city traffic. I really enjoyed my walk with family and everyone that we came across was very nice and everyone spoke to each other in passings, very friendly.
I Love that park. It's so Beautiful and Peaceful. I can relax and clear my mind. And feed the Ducks, Geese, Turtles, Squirrels, Doves, meet nice people, walk around the trail and lose some weight. And all the pretty houses. It's So Green!!!
Unfortunately the water is not as clear and clean as it once was. It's still a nice place to run or utilize the playground and simple self workout equipment. The city of Fort Worth needs to clean it up and turn the water fountain back on.
A nice quiet place with a walking path around a small lake. It has a small fountain and Playground equipment for kids! You can walk here and see people of all ages, and get a friendly smile and hello from most! Ducks and geese too...
Candleridge Park has been a gem for years. Playgrounds of all types, a walking trail with a cute little bridge and a small lake with a fountain. On any given day/time many use the park for exercise and gatherings at the shelters.
I had a great time today. Brought my pole and tackle just for fun. Got a few nibbles but no hard bites. Was using punch bait on a double-drop at first. Switched to worms and slip-sinker by the end. Nobody was hungry today.
I can only speak for the calisthenics side of the park its decent for what it is I was hope for actual bars for dips instead of bench dips. I also wish they didn't put wood pellets as the flooring in calisthenics area.
Kids playground is maintained fairly well just wish they had a canopy over it. Good area to go bike riding or for a jog. Good place to relax and feed the ducks too, don't feed them too much though they'll bunch up.
Just looking around haven't been there in a couple years the water when down in the pond getting to much trash in the pond ..time for a clean up.. alot more ducks now....other then that it was good little walk...
Nice little park. Clean and the trees provide some shade on hot days. Only complaint is that there is no dedicated parking. You have to park on the street.
Dog-friendliness
Nice trails for walking dogs.
It's a great park however there renovating the playground area and it seems to be at a standstill waiting for new equipment. It's still a nice park tho, there are ducks and turtles many things to explore!!!
Large playground, large pond with ducks & walking path. Park used to be alot nicer and cleaner but has gone downhill in recent years. No public restrooms. Park would be much nicer if they kept it cleaner.
I love the Candlelight Park, the ducks, squirrels, turtles the benches where you can just sit & relax . The only thing I think the city can keep the edges of the water clean it blocks to nasty and trash.
Great park with a good amount of equipment for the kids to play on. Tons of trees for shade so it's not ungodly hot for them either. They got a kick out of seeing the ducks and turtles in the water too.
Nice park with a small pond that is frequented by ducks and geese. Kids playground equipment is getting old and starting to crack and show signs of wear... one tunnel definitely needs to get replaced.
Been coming here since I was born. Always been a great park, and a great place to take the kids. Great walking trail, great fishing, great playgrounds. Great family place to get out in the outdoors.
One of my favorite places to go to to to relax my mind and clear my head walk around by some water and some ducks very nice place but my mom car got broken into years ago so still gotta be careful.
The fountain, the creeks feeding off and the playground are all very well kept and a very nice place to walk and spend your evening. It's a little piece of tranquility in the middle of the city
Squirrels , crows, geese and ducks live here all in harmony is a good place to relax and watch the animals but please don’t feed geese and ducks bread feed them lettuce and better alternatives.
I took my 2 year old here and it was so magical for her she talks about it all the time and wonders when we are going back and I loved it as well such a great adventure and memorable experience
Candleridge Park has a great paved trail. The entire park is shaped like a huge T, running through several neighborhoods. Has a nice pond and playground on one end and it's well maintained.
nice place to walk , my daughter love to play but there are not enough games , the park has a huge empty area it will be great if the city adds more gamea and activities and a bathroom
Lovely park, have been taking my children here for many years. We lived in the area and love this park. We relocated to Haslet last year and still frequently visit this park.
Always a lovely visit. A very peaceful and clean park. There is a playground for children, a nice trail for bike riders and/or walkers, and a body of water(for viewing only).
My hometown park. Courteous walkers and friendly people in the park. Good place for a leisurely walk or exercise. People tend to walk to the right with passing to the left.
Love this park. From the ducks to the turtles to the different playgrounds, the huge walking track, and the fitness stretch area. Nice family park. Highly recommend
Lovely paved trails around small lake with branching trail into quiet neighborhood. Benches and trash cans allow convenient disposal. Thank you, City of Fort Worth!
my wife and I walked here for the first time , and we both loved it .It appears clean, even the Picknick aerea. so this will not be the last time we go walking here
Pretty nice area. If you want to take a walk around the lake, make sure you take your camera and your loved one with you. You will catch a lot of gorgeous pictures.
This is a fun park with something for all ages groups. There is a pond to feed ducks, different play areas for different age groups, and a little exercise area too.
Such a lovely place for a nice stroll. Love the water with ducks especially! The trail goes along further in lots of directions for those wanting a longer walk/run
First visit to this beautiful park. The pond has some big turtles and xs I saw a few fish jump up. Nice to bike and walk and good shade. Small park but super nice.
I love this Park!! Very clean and peaceful!! A great place to bring the family and to also get in those much needed steps...the walking path is very nicely done!!!
good park to take your kids. Has a nice playground. There is a workout area for the grown ups. Has a nice trail that goes around the pond. Lots of ducks to feed.
Beautiful small lake, fountain, ducks, turtles and clean and beautiful park. Perfect for walking or just sitting with your thoughts and the kids love to play.
It's beautiful. I didn't even know it was there. My grandson's mother called me to come boost her car off. She goes there every morning to read and meditate.
Family member invited me here for an early morning walk! Very nice, clean, quiet, & peaceful place! Didn't spend a lot of time here, but overall loved it!
What a neat place! Squirrels ate right from our hands. Not sure that's a good thing though. I'd hate for someone to hurt them, or take one home as a pet.
It's a nice park for walking. Sometimes you have to watch for the loose dogs but outside of that it's a decent place to chillout at and sit by the pond.
Very nice views and well kept lawns. However, no place to park. Very bad planning for a park with no place to park cars except the street for visitors.
This is a great park to exercise or simply just to relax. This park is in a beautiful neighborhood as well and residents pride in the care of the park.
I grew up within walking distance of this park. It has always been a great place to relax, play and even fish. Wonderful place for families.
Wonderful park , a good sign some development work is taking place but it would much nicer if the park has a public toilet...... …
Love this park it has alot of sight seeing there from the ducks to the turtles..and my kids and wife love walking it and the park as well
Great place to walk. Ducks, pond, open view with trees along the path. Felt safe. One trip around walking path was almost 3/4of a mile.
The playground is small and could use a power wash, but suitable for toddlers. There is a nice path to walk around the little lake.
Beautifully laid out walking path, on cement or iin the grass. Playground, picnic tables and plenty of ducks, geese and squirrels.
It's a beautiful park great for walking and bikes very peaceful and relaxing. You will see lots of ducks and turtles at the lake.
This place was beautifully kept up.The residents that lived nearby were friendly and welcoming. I loved walking my dog here. More
Wonderful park lots of trails, the ducks are amazing and plenty of them around the park to admire..!! Beautiful trees and scenery
Very nice place to go and take your family you can feed the ducks take a walk and let the kids play in the playground …
Feeding the ducks is fun. Park is ok. Some of the play equipment is out dated and more more wood chips are needed. No restrooms.
Great little hidden Park to hang out. I've been fishing with my son. Walked the dog here. My son likes the playground as well
Great place to go. I walk my 19 month old grandson around the whole thing. There is a park area, bridge, and a water fountain.
We love to take a walk around this park and end with the new play area. Really fun. Needs a longer handle for the zipline
Great for walking, bikes and scooters. Ducks and turtles. Playground is for toddlers but currently under construction.
Long paved trails, some tables and grills, lots of room to jog, walk, or dog walk. Trash cans and bags provided!
It really uh nice place to visit and with some of the new upgrades it is really uh nice place to take the kids..
Clean park with nice walking trails. The pond is ok. Shallow and full of carp.
Restrooms
There are none
Very nice park. The playground is nice, the walking trail around the large pond is quite peaceful.
Candleridge is a very scenic park. It has a path to walk and a variety of play sets for children.
Beautiful park. Lots of shade on most of the walking path. Most people clean up after their dogs.
Peaceful with lots of shade. I spent my lunch break there to unwind during a tough day at work.
I enjoy this park. There are lots of ducks. It is a great place to walk and enjoy the ducks.
Amazing, Beautiful, and clean. Ducks, turtle's and squirrel's. A great place for the kid's.
Always have terrible fishing luck here. Definitely a lot of ducks. Nice neighborhood park
So beautiful and lots for the kids to do. Playground a bit outdated but still very nice.
Quiet, Clean, plenty of Duck, Geese, and Turtles to watch, feed and enjoy. Even Egrets.
Nice atmosphere and different play sections for kids of all ages. Very nice park.
My son's favorite park, he loves the playground, the ducks and the turtles
Nice, clean park. Playground for kids and walking paths...it's all good!
