I came here for business with a group. My first inpressions as I get to my room on the second floor. As I walk in it looks like a pretty good room untill I notice things. I walked in with an ugly smell that filled the room. Musky and heavy like smoke and dirt. I noticed that most of the vynal wood strips on the kitchen floor are not attached and with adhiseive or glue. I looks like they tried to use tile mortar which is incorrect. I found the fault when my barefoot stuck to a few and i tripped. There are also a few tiles in the restroon that are loose. The shower head is also not clean and has green calium deposits on it. There might also be some sort of grounding issue with the power outlets as my travel powerstrip with built in usb ports does not work anymore. The refredgerator more a loud humming noise once in a while. Also about three days into my stay it seems that there was some contruction going on in the rooms above me. There is alot fo noise outside because of the freeways so opening the windows was a issue. Othere than those issues it looks like a standard hotel room. I did tell the front desk about the issue about the smell and the kitchen floor but noone has come to fix the floor since I have been here.

The location is great, right off 295 and close to grocery stores and restaurants (although would not recommend going to the Golden corral right in front of it). The beds were the best part, really cozy, pillows were perfect, blankets were soft and fluffy. The kitchenette was small but worked great for me. I had an issue with my room and they changed me with no problems, and everybody was very kind. My only problem was the bugs, if they are able to get that under better control, this would be absolutely a fantastic place to stay. It's still really good if you get a room that has been treated recently, but the bugs are definitely the only downside I had. Well, that and no breakfast. But breakfast isn't a deal breaker for me. Tons of food options nearby and they have a little shop in the hotel. Internet was also really good, I was able to game online without problems. Miss Alaina at the front desk was super awesome and has a warm smile and help every time I came by.

Quiet, Great value

When we arrived at the hotel, we were met by a room that immediately showed the lack of care from cleaning staff. The more we looked around, the worse it got. There were stains on the carpet and furniture, hair in the shower, stains on the doors, a prior guest had stuck take on the vanity and it had not been removed, they had not filled the soaps in the shower, the phone and remote were STICKY and CRUSTY… the list goes on. Staying at this hotel was so uncomfortable because it was obvious that the staff had not cleaned certain areas and we could never be sure that other areas were cleaned either. Front desk is only open until 11 and not 24/7. This didn’t pose a problem to us, but is good to know. There was never any staff at the front desk without us having to wait for a while every time, even in the daytime. The location is decent as it’s easy to reach major highways, but the entire area would smell like sewage at certain points, which would drift into the hotel. We stayed for 4 nights. Beds were comfortable.

It was great until the morning of check out. Went down to front desk at 9am asked for towels for kids swimming lady asked me room number and asked me was I aware of check out time. I said yes maam I know. She only gave me 2 towels for 3 of us and told.me to return them to the desk. Why would I give you dirty towels back and not just use hamper in room? It really came across as if she didn't want me to use pool which was cloudy and full of bugs so close to check out and like I was gonna steal her towels. The hotel is nice but the dirty pool and the rude staff is enough to ruin it.

Just spent the past 11 weeks at this hotel and the staff is just great. The room was always clean and if you have any issues at all, the front desk gets right on it. Grocery shopping and everything else you need is within a 1 minute walk out the front door. The staff did everything they could to make me feel welcome. Thank you Sunny, maintenance, Lawanda, front desk, and Mr. Tan, Sales Manager for everything and I look forward to staying with you all again in the near future. I would highly recommend this hotel for extended travel or even a single night. Thank you again.

had an issue in every room i’ve been in. smells, water problems and a couple bad customer service altercations. not to mention two dead roaches in the top cabinet that hadn’t been cleaned and also a couple unalived ones i took care of. every hotel i’ve stayed in, ALL THE BEDS WERE KINGS; here, they’re all queens and is an extra charge for a king.

Booked queen, got full size. Room toilet running. Gas grill igniter broken, had to use lighter. Not enough gas flow to sear steak (possible regulator problem). Front desk attributed grill issues to previous guest not cleaning..Email link for comments, but form unresponsive. Close to Interstate, supermarket, gas station and fast food.

If you going to have someone work there they need to know how to check someone out of the hotel. Never got a receipt when he said he would have them email me one. Will not stay there again.

We had to change our own sheets. They would not even bring them to the room. We had to go to the front desk to get fresh towels too. Only after we bring our dirty towels to them.

This hotel is great because of its wifi, kitchen , bathroom, bed, and every other service it provides. The grill under the gazebo is great too because I was able to hang out with my coworkers while they grilled. Would recommend this hotel to anyone in the Jacksonville area.

My wife and I stayed a couple of nights at this Candlewood Suites along with our dog. The room was clean and well appointed. There was plenty of space to walk our dog, and it was very convenient to downtown. We look forward to our next stay!

Please consider new pest control, rooms are experiencing a pest control problem as of May 2023 that needs to be addressed. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Location is conveniently near Jacksonville University, Publix, and Mayport Naval.

After a late check-in, the room was incredibly clean. The bed was quite comfortable, and the location was really close to downtown. Overall it was an incredible stay for my husband and I to spend a portion of anniversary in Jacksonville.

Clean, easy access, good service, clean pool. Many restaurants around. Will consider to be back again and again. IF staying long time, make sure to ask for room clean, since they do it every week. Very easy to check-in and check out.

I truly enjoyed my stay. The bed was super comfortable. The room and the hotel premises were clean. There was disinfectant all about the hotel. The front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again.

We stay at Candlewood Suites. We paid over $240 a night for the room but it was not anywhere near that great. Candlewood Suites are nice for the kitchenette but this one was dirty and buggy. We would not recommend this one. More

My overall stay was pleasant. When I first walked into the hotel I was greeted with a smile. I checked into my room and it was not only clean but it smelled amazing. Yes I will visit again and Yes my husband and I was satisfied.

Out of the way thus making it a noise free accommodation. Gas station and Publix about a city block away. Checking in was easy and very courteous. Checking out with E. Kelly was extremely helpful and most appreciated.

This is a fantastic hotel with the friendliest staff in the country. Elena was so good to us both at check in and when we left - giving us great advice. The rooms are spacious and the bed was so comfortable.

I enjoyed my stay. I would recommended the hotel to people I know. Continue the good customer service and friendly staff. Over all I would give you a 9 out of 10. Free breakfast is the only reason for the 9

Very comfortable bed. Pillows need to be replaced. Customer service was fantastic. The oriental lady at the front desk is the nicest person I have ever encountered with at a hotel.

The TV wouldn’t shut off with the remote. I think it needs a battery but when I called the desk there was no one there to bring one up. I unplugged the TV from the wall.
