In a simple statement I would suggest you avoid Cape Express Removals at every opportunity. In my recent move at end of August from Jhb to Paarl they delivered late after multiple issues with communications and missed deadlines. Their team were under pressure and literally threw all our belongings in half wrapped and packaged. They then delivered the goods in boxes which were soaking wet and damaged which they tried to slip past us. Goods which were damaged and broken in transit, other goods (furniture - like antique and valuable pianos) wrapped in a single layer of bubble wrap which was completely inadequate. To cap it all they bumped our loads for other people who had "significantly larger loads" than anticipated. This meant our goods which were booked and paid for earlier never came down to our destination on time as agreed, but the people who were "over" had theirs delivered first. On unpacking we have had a number of major furniture items which have been damaged, boxes which were loaded under other heavy goods and consequently crushed and their contents destroyed. To cap it all a number of very portable high value items have simply never arrived, which they cannot explain. I have as a result lodged claims with my insurers as I have exhausted all avenues to try and liaise with Cape Express and Jannie as to what has happened to these goods. His final call to me was to deny all responsibility and to insist that his team were innocent. I have found him immature in the extreme and seemingly inept at managing a team of people who work for him, hence my review. Again should there be a response i have photographic evidence and video of the above to substantiate it. Right now my next step is to lay formal theft charges at the police. Avoid this company at every turn of the way. FWIW i have also contacted multiple other people who have recently moved as i have and they have corroborated having a similar experience. My insurers have also indicated that this is the 6th claim they are seeing this year of a similar nature when removal companies are involved. This is and has been extremely disappointing to have my personal belongings treated with such disdain and then have the company ownership from Cape Express (Jannie Steenkamp) refuse to accept accountability and ownership. Again should there be a response to this i will upload photos and videos as evidence. Going on from my initial review the only contact i have had from Cape Express is to ask me to remove this review as its hurting their business. Nothing else. the matter has been reported to the police and i have had to lodge claims on my personal insurance. In my last communications with Cape Express i asked for manifests of what was loaded and details of the reasons my loads were treated like they were. Nothing has been forthcoming other than a request to delete this review. No accountability or pro-active events whatsoever to address my issues. My review therefore still stands as the vendor has ensured nothing has been done to address his failings.

Cape Express Removals did our move from Jhb to CT. I contacted 10 companies & Cape Express came out top not only with the extremely competitive quote but also with responsiveness & service. Jannie responded immediately & called us as well. He helped with advise on more complex items such as moving a piano. The entire team worked hard to get our load done with a lot of care. We are very happy with this service & highly recommend this company. We will definitely use them again!

If anyone is looking for a moving company PLEASE do yourself a favor and use this company. They were BY FAR the most inexpensive quote I received as well as friendly, kind and caring during the whole process. They packaged up all my furniture and made extra sure they packed everything so that it would be safe and secure. I received everything in one piece when I unpacked everything. Truly appreciate this company!!!

Cape Express Removals was firstly a lot cheaper then other removal companies. They were highly efficient and professional when loading and off loading our furniture which was moved from Joburg to Cape Town. They kept our furniture in storage until we found our home and delivered when we called without any delay. We really thankful for their amazing service.
