Where to start? A week after I'd paid the rqstd down payment Paolo asked me for more $$. I said that's not our agreement. He mocked me saying "Are you short of money?" I had clearly requested Benjamin Moore paint and provided paint samples. Paolo ended up getting a cheaper knock-off paint without telling me. When I questioned the name on the paint bucket he made me buy my own paint at a cost of $500 to do the downstairs. This is over what I had already paid him for his cheap paint. The upstairs remains done with the slightly off-colour cheaper paint. His paint peeled off sliding cupboard doors, and the basement and powder room doors. Paint on the hand rails chipped quickly. Only one coat? There were paint marks left on the shower head, various knobs, door handles, kitchen hutch, dining room floor etc. I believe that to have been his assistant who was a messy painter and whose hands were always covered in paint. Besides repeatedly asking for additional money, after the fact (not in the quote) Paolo demanded $600 in "moving fees". It was an altogether unpleasant experience, fighting about money, with the assistant chiming in to side with Paolo, leaving me feeling frustrated and outnumbered. My $4000+ quote ended up costing me $6000+. I treated them well, leaving the Keurig and coffee to use any time, and cutting veggies for them to eat with their lunch sandwiches.

Dear reader, I have used Capital Painters five times in the past 11 years, and I have always been very happy with their work. I usually consider my interior paint jobs on the more challenging side, for instance we asked them to paint our living room in three horizontal colors, which requires laser guided frog taping and all that. They did an amazing job. As well, they pay very close attention to details and instructions which is always a must for me. And when they are done, the job site is super clean which shows how much they care about their clients. I personally would not look for another painter and I am sure I will be calling on them in the future. I highly recommend Capital Painters.

Palmo did a great job painting a bedroom and walk-in closet, including all trim and 3 doors. He was very fast, clean and professional. I am completely satisfied with the finished room. Palmo and Lorne did an excellent job painting the pillars outside our house. They honestly look brand new! They also painted around our garage door with the same attention to detail. They are meticulous workers, and I would highly recommend them! In addition, the price was fair and reasonable. We will have them back again in the near future to complete some indoor work for us.
