Based on other Google reviews, it would seem that Car-On is a reputable spot to purchase a used car. However, I personally would not recommend *selling* a used car to them. Earlier this summer, I approached them about buying my 2011 Subaru Forester, and their Sales Manager Ken was extremely interested. His mechanic checked the vehicle and gave it a test drive, and Ken gave us a reasonable offer to purchase it. He advised us to return four days later with our registration paperwork to complete the sale. When we returned on the agreed-upon date and time, we were advised by the receptionist that Ken had mysteriously left for the day. Fortunately, another salesperson was happy to assist us with the paperwork; however, after signing the documents we were advised that we would have to return the following afternoon to complete the transaction (i.e. drop off the vehicle and receive payment). As agreed, we went back for the third time, the following afternoon. Ken advised me that he was going to have his mechanic look over the vehicle before completing the sale. When I politely reminded him that his mechanic had already checked and test drove the vehicle a mere five days earlier, he advised me that another check was required. Less than five minutes later, he returned to tell me that they were no longer interested in purchasing my vehicle as the mechanic had noticed a "thumping noise" that is "common in Subaru Foresters made around that year". I asked why his mechanic had not flagged this apparent "well-known" noise five days earlier, and he did not have an answer for me. I understand that it is well within their right to not purchase a vehicle if they choose not to. However, it was completely unprofessional and extremely poor customer service to have us drive out there to meet them THREE separate times, all the while leading us to believe that they were set on purchasing our vehicle. They completely wasted our time so they lost a potential future customer.
I Will not recommend and I wish I could give 0 stars. I bought a car last year there and throughout all the conversations the agent George never mentioned that the car has been involved in an accident in the past. My appointment to sign the documents was close to their closing time and I didn’t have time to go through all the documents which include the carfax. I only found out about the accident when trying to trade the car in for a new one at another dealership. When I contacted Caron they told me that George doesn’t work here anymore and that the carfax was presented to me. They mentioned that they can’t do anything for me and that they won’t accept the car back in. I pushed because three weeks before I wanted to trade the car with them for another one and they were able to work on my application. How come three weeks after you can’t ?… but any how. After pushing they came back to me with a quote for a car at $529/bi weekly while my payments are currently $575/semi monthly. They couldn’t even help and I could tell that they were only willing to help if they could make a sale for something equivalent or higher. I will not recommend them overall and I will. It recommend Saffy who’s definitely not helpful at all. They wouldn’t even take the car back , which is very odd since I bought the car with them a year ago. Dishonest, profit savy and sales oriented that what they are. They wouldn’t even take the car back and the agent Saffy straight told me that they have my signature on the document so there’s nothing they can do for me. I would not recommend help from Saffy as well because he’s sales oriented and dishonest. Multiple people keep complaining about those issues in the reviews and they don’t change their ways of doing thing. I believe that they will keep screwing their clients until they start receiving multiple lawsuits. Failure to provide important information regarding a product you’re selling can be sanctioned by the law.
Sad I can't give them 0 stars, 1 is more than they deserve. We agreed in a 5y loan of 264 + trade in + 5500 down. I agreed with that because the biweekly payment was right oh the maximum I was willing to pay. Paid 500 down and visited to their payment/loan sector, I started working with Melina (rudest person I saw in the past 3 years, at least), she had some papers and I told her 5500 is the down payment, she confirmed and wrote in sheet "you should bring 5000 on the pick up day, proof of insurance". A day later she called me saying that everything was all approved, CONGRATULATIONS! however the biweekly payment would be 297 instead because their proposal was wrong, their proposal was considering a 9500 DOWN. I never talked about 9500 down . Based on her words "SIMPLE MATH", no agreement over the phone I visited them again 1h later. Talked to the sale agent right after parking my car and he acknowledged they made a mistake on the down payment. Came to Melina's office and she came up right away with a new value 289 biweekly, she then started to say that this is SIMPLE MATH, kind of a game to make me feel not smart enough to understand that meant 4k more. She had no lucky and her boss came up. I wrote down the proposal that I agreed for him, he then came up with 270 biweekly for 5y and 4 months, i didn't accept and requested my 500 back, at least could get it back. Left the store with an unnecessary hit in my credit score. Here is what they do: They agree with a value and come up with another higher after you sign. They play a game to make you feel bad, not smart and then they make more money. They want you to sign and will get more money from you if you let them do. Not going to get in this store anymore!

I really wanted to give this place a 5 star review. Alex and Richard were amazing at getting me the f150 that I wanted and were very friendly. Update: After owning the new vehicle for 2.5 weeks I decided I wanted a refund on the extended warranty. As per the contract with global warrenty I have 30 days to cancel. Melinda from car on auto quickly got this refund issued to me and when I went to pick up the cheque they were very welcoming. The only negative interaction I had was with Mike Brown. Unfortunately after owning the vehicle for only 4 days I brought it back for them to take a look at the backup camera. It's one of those faulty cameras the f250s and 350s were recalled for. (Ford is recalling more than 277,000 pickup trucks and cars in the U.S. because the rear view camera lens can get cloudy and reduce visibility for the driver) When Mike Brown, Sales manager, came out to inspect the issue I could tell I wasnt going to get help. His entire demeanor was unfriendly. He took one look at the camera screen and said I'm not going to replace that. He claimed it was just fine. I just stood there shocked. You can't make out any details during the day and at night, well, you see nothing. The lens is fogged up on the inside due to moisture. Even the service tech that took a look at it first recognized the image was not good. I went in thinking that they would make it right. Everything I experienced from their team had me thinking I'd get the help I needed. But when I spoke to Mike Brown I was left feeling very frustrated and confused. How he could be okay telling me that that camera was good to go I won't understand.
BUYERS BEWARE! They said the inspection cost was included in the advertised price when they knew the car was to be used in Quebec, then charged $250 for a Quebec inspection (when on top of that the cost is only $110 if we arranged it ourselves). They took a deposit and then presented a document they asked to sign where the price was several thousands higher than the advertised and discussed price (they claimed afterwards it was their mistake). Furthermore, they added other charges never discussed. On the bill of sale, they asked us to sign a clause to cancel the 30 days money-back guaranty and when we refused to do so, torn down the bill of sale saying the relationship was "severed". There was no prior discussion that they would not honour the indication, no indication on their website or in any written documentation that the 30 days money-back guaranty did not apply in our case. There is just a mention on the website regarding the warranty that "some conditions may apply.see dealer for details". Basically, that means that they can arbitrarily decide that the warranty may not apply to any type of vehicle, for any reason, making that warranty just a misleading and deceitful gimmick and scheme to get people to come to their place. In our opinion, this type of dealer behaviour is just plain dishonest. In any case, we are actually glad they tore down the contract because we bought the same model of vehicle somewhere else at less than 80% of the Car-On-Auto Sales price.
I have recently traded in my 2012 Honda Civic for a 2017 Honda Ridgeline at Car On Auto. The experience I had with them was beyond my expectations. My main contact was Saffy who handled the entire process and made sure I was able to get everything I needed for my new truck! He made sure I was able to get a reasonable deal on my trade in and made the entire transaction as smooth as possible. On the finance side I had Oday taking care of everything. He was able to get me a good rate and made sure I was clear on everything that I was signing. I really appreciated the fact that the Carfax was provided and we went over it together! They allowed me to inspect the vehicle at a third party garage and repaired everything that showed up during the inspection. I would also like to mention Mike (Sales Manager) and Ricky (Service manager) for being understanding and took in charge of the repairs after my purchase of the vehicle. I had a few things that needed to be swapped that showed up after the purchase of the truck (backup camera, tail light etc.) and they took full responsibly of it and got them fixed asap! Every dealership has cars, but not everyone can keep up with the level of customer service I got from Car On Auto! You have definitely got yourself a repeat customer! Thank you for all you did!
Car-on provides their clients with a rushed and impersonal shopping experience, even limiting the test drive to 15 minutes (yet suggesting a route that takes less than 10). Once I committed to a purchase by leaving a deposit, my delivery date was missed by several days with little to no communication in between. When I was finally contacted by the finance manager, I was told the delays were to my benefit and received a shopping list of repairs and new parts the car required to pass a vehicle safety. When I took delivery of the car, I was able to confirm that most of these repairs were not as recent as I was led to believe. More recently, 2 emails have gone completely unanswered after I reached out to inquire about a missing lower engine shield that may (or may not) have been left off during the servicing at Car-On, and to get an invoice for the winter tire package I had purchased so I had a record of the wheels and tires fitted to the car. No reply. Absolutely zero after-sales support which is unfortunate as the overpriced window tint I paid for already requires repairs but I will pay out of pocket to get it done somewhere else. Unable to recommend this business. A vehicle purchase is a big deal, best to go somewhere else that will treat it that way.
Pleasure dealing with Mario and Dan, great guys! When it comes down to price negotiations, be prepared to hear "we priced our vehicles accordingly" every time you open your mouth! Furthermore, I didn't feel like management worked very hard for my future business... Not much motive/desire for me to return. Everything else was good! Cheers ***Just to clarify the below statement made by the dealer" "Despite the fact that you purchased your vehicle based on its condition, when you returned a few days later and asked Mr. Brown, our sales manager, if we could re-paint a few spots on the vehicle, we agreed immediately, brought the vehicle into our shop that same day, did the touch ups you requested and did not charge you. This was done as a goodwill gesture to show that we value your business. Had we not cared about your future business, our answer would probably have been quite different." This statement is false and very misleading for the purpose of this review. The truth is that the touch ups were negotiated and approved as part of the sale of the vehicle. Nothing was ever done out of goodwill gesture - this is completely false and untrue. If I were the dealer, I would remove this statement as it makes them look worse for bending the truth. Cheers
Walked in and the first thing I told him was that I was suffering from anxiety and depression tried to buy a Ford explore the sales person who is very nice Mohamed indicated that it’s subject to financing he will repair the bumper He told me that the deposit was refundable upon going to financing they offered me $420 per by week told him no 10 days later I will walk back and they told me they could get just just under 6% was still left my bar week appointment at $389 by week I indicated no that was not was promised I was promised 355 biweekly I told him I wanted to walk and then they took my money I had a major panic attack passed out in my vehicle in the parking lot no one checked on me even though I was showing signs and symptoms and I told the agent and financial advisor that I was in the middle of a panic attack still no money back be wary they are scammers they will tell you verbally that yes you get your refund yesterday deposit is refundable but then at the end of it they give you another song and dad story stay away from Car on AUTO stay away. One good thing is that not all dealers are the same I went to another dealer who walked me through everything and even gave me $1000 discount to make up for the deposit that I lost at car on auto
I want to take the time to really express what true customer service is in this age of misery and inflation and hard times. My wife and I recently purchased a new vehicle from Car on being our second vehicle from them. We were greeted by two staff members that my wife was in contact with about an SUV. Both of the gentleman came in on there day off to accommodate my wife as she was dead set on this vehicle. This was my first interaction with them as I was not there for previous purchase. I was astonished how accommodating they were offering hot chocolate and water before we even had a chance to walk through the door. After agreeing to the vehicle and sale we came back another time with our 4 year old and 8 year old which around supper was testy time... They welcomed the children with open arms allowing us to play a santa clause movie to keep them occupied and some of the staff where sharing there lunch snacks with my children. The son of the owner alex did not even Give me the chance to unbuckle the car seats from my other vehicle before asking to help put them in. By far the best experience I have had at a dealership hands down. Koodo's for there teamwork and amazing customer service. Keep it up Habibi's
I sent multiple emails to the sales representative to confirm the availability of the car I was interested in. He responded affirmatively, saying, "Yes!" On the day of the appointment, I double-checked with the sales rep, who again confirmed its availability. Despite enduring a one-hour drive through heavy traffic, when I arrived and approached the sales rep, he asked me which car I was looking for. Surprised, I replied, "I'm looking for the car we discussed via email." He stared directly into my eyes and informed me that the car I had shown interest in was sold just two minutes before my arrival. To make matters worse, he attempted to persuade me to purchase a similar model and year with an additional 50,000 km on it, all for the same price. Upon realizing this deceitful tactic, it became evident that they had used an attractive car deal as bait. They would claim its availability over the phone or email, only to present a completely different car when you actually arrived. It was an immense waste of my time. It would have been preferable if they had simply been honest and said, "No, sorry," rather than resorting to lies. I strongly advise everyone to avoid dealing with Zain Amjad at all costs.
I set a high bar. I've visited about 50 BMW dealerships and probably 500 sales people in ON and BC. I know more about BMWs than most BMW dealership sales people. I constantly find things wrong with information and workmanship. Okay, I'll say ALWAYS find things wrong. But, every once in a while there is an outlier. George and Jason in sales with Richard in finance were spot on. Well, not quite, they actually blew me away. Friendly should be a given. Knowledgeable, responsive, accomodating, passionate and engaged is too much to ask. Not at Car-On Sales. By now you might be doubting that this is a real review from a real customer. Ya, I get it. Anyone that's a friend, parent, grandma or second cousin can post publically. So call them up. Ask for George or Jason and ask about the guy who drove 12 hours round trip to purchase this car he'd been looking for for a year. If you are as particular like me and still reading, I have been a Process Improvement and Productivity Consultant a long time. They have processes and checklists that I am impressed with. But most importantly they have what I call the "Three Ps". Passion, Processes and People. This is rare. So are my reviews at this level.
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!! They have shown a complete lack of respect. I had shown interest in a Ford Fusion model and had scheduled a test drive. On the morning of the appointment, I received a call to confirm my attendance for the test drive, to which I responded affirmatively. Furthermore, I received an email reminding me of the appointment just an hour prior to my scheduled time. However, upon arriving at the dealership, I was shocked to discover that the car had already been sold that morning. Not only did they fail to inform me of this, but they also seemed unconcerned about the inconvenience it caused me. When I mentioned that I had come specifically for that car, no apologies were offered. Instead, I was urged to consider other cars they had available. Some might interpret this behavior as part of their marketing strategy, but I certainly do not. To Peter, who dresses in expensive suits and stylish shoes, I want to emphasize that these outward appearances do not earn respect. What truly matters is valuing others' time as you value your own. I have never encountered such arrogance and lack of integrity in my entire life.
Amazing experience! There was no "greasy car dealer" vibe at all, just real humans. Saffy really cared, and wasn't pushing me towards a particular vehicle, like most dealers do. He was really honest, knowledgeable, and super patient with my indecisiveness. He was an open book, and made sure I understood all the ins and outs. I've been to many car dealerships in Ottawa, and they have all sucked. I finally found one I can trust! In the end Saffy was able to get us in a vehicle me and my little ones are SO happy with (we gave it a name already). Originally I thought I'd have to use my motorbike as trade in, and was absolutely heart broken. Needless to say I almost cried in the office when I found out Saffy had went above and beyond to get me an excellent deal WITHOUT having to trade my 3rd child in!!! On a final note, I have really bad credit, like....REALLY bad. At Cars On Auto, I got a payment that was cheaper than every competitor, a newer vehicle, with lower mileage and way more suitable for me and my kids. Finally I can start building my credit! THANK YOU!
My wife and I were interested in a Nissan they had for sale. As we communicated with Mario at the dealership we agreed to see the car Tuesday at 1pm. As we were visiting family out of town it was still a 4hr drive one way to the dealership. Upon arriving we were told oh that car was sold on Saturday ( the day we were arranging the appointment) This car fit all my wifes wants and needless to say we were furious that we made an 8hour round trip for nothing. We were not interested in looking at anything else. Had someone notified us that it had been sold we would not have made a wasted trip. On top of that Mario was totally aware of the time, gas expense wasted on the trip but in no way attempted to at least compensate us by way of at least some gas for wasting 750kms of our gas for nothing. Not impressed with this dealership at all. No one from the dealership has reached out to us so prospective clients are not important and treated as such. Will never recommend this dealership to anyone. A very horrible and traumatic experience especially for my wife.
My wife and I have never had such as a good experience buying a new car "this place rocks" they really know what they are doing, Mario was amazing he worked all day and still he stayed late to greet my wife and I when we arrived in the evening to pick up our new SUV that we purchased. We found them very very fare, their offer on our trade in was extremely good and every thing was well explained to us. Simon you did a great job handling and explaining the finances, the owner,Pierre also took the time to personally meet with us. Their service and detailing shops are amazing and well organized, they gave us a car that looked and ran like new. We will absolutely recommend this business to every one we know. The sales team is very professional and made us feel like family. And you know what, my wife and I live in Waterloo Ontario, we were here in Ottawa visiting our daughter ,son in law and new grand daughter when we discovered this dealership and purchased our vehicle here. Hats off to Pierre and all the staff at Car-On Auto Sales.
Everything started off really well. Great service from our salesman, friendly reception, water, coffee, toys for our son while he waited, everyone laughing and encouraging him to pretend to drive the cars on display. Then we bought the car and we went from being valued customers to just being pushed out the door. Our salesperson changed, but no one told us he'd left. He just stopped answering. When we went back to sign the papers for the purchase: no coffee, no water, no welcome, and rudely being told "keep your kid out of the cars". The car was given to us dirty (so much for full, thorough detailing: someone else's dog hair, coffee stains and goldfish crackers came free of charge) and while we were told we could come back for a complementary detailing, surprise! No answer. Did we get a good price? Sure, but not remarkably so and comparable to others in the area. Did we get good service? Nope, not after the very first visit when they were still trying to get the sale.
Shafted described my experience.. I purchased a 2017 Jaguar XE for $32k and was promised to have side boards painted. Said waiting on paint will call. They never did. Also never got full gas tank as they advertise, safety check was flawed (rear driver parking light was burnt after safety signed off) and suddenly have faulty PCV valve and lean conditions as per check engine light appearing 4 months later. Just after period I could do something. Also was not told the vandalism report on carfax was $8100k which I’m now told significantly lowered vehicles value if I wanted to trade it in ( loss of $10k value). Was suggested likely something like camera or laptop stolen from inside. That’s bs. Should be honest and not shady. Do your research and have independent safety done and vehicle inspection. Not first person to have similar experience and absolutely no service or follow up by CarOn Auto. Buy elsewhere. Let’s see if the manager will do me right but unlikely.
Sold a Toyota highlander with a Faulty AC to me. Lied it passed inspection and blamed me for not checking it when I got it. I trusted every word they told me during purchase because it was my first time getting a car and I believed them been that they're a big dealership. Got the car during winter of last year, October precisely, never had to put on the AC. During Summer, this May when I needed the AC, tried it for the very first time and discovered it wasn't cooling. Took it there and they were like, is passed warranty. Very bad after purchase service. They later checked and got back saying AC hose got leakage. This means they lied about inspection because this shouldn't have passed. I never used the AC. Now they want me to pay to get it fixed, can you imagine. I called but am always put on hold ever since. I feel so used..so disappointed. How can they be so mean.. I don't recommend this place to anyone..
- You NEED to go to Car-On for your next vehicle AND all your current SERVICE needs as well. - I bought a Van from them in excellent condition at a great price. They have a 30 day guarantee on any issues with the vehicle. Because cars can sit for a while in the lot, they can have some small quirks during those first 30 days. The guys at Car-On fixed every minor issue FOR FREE during those 30 days and we have had ZERO problems since then. - I now bring my other vehicle to Car-On as well, for all regular maintenance and any other Service I need. They have great rates, they diagnose and fix the problem quickly, and they don't try to up-sell you on repairs/services you don't need. - Absolutely the best place in Ottawa to buy a car or get work done. - Thank you guys for restoring my faith in dealerships/mechanics. - Special shout-out to Lev and Alex in Service for coordinating and taking care of all my needs!
My worst experience at Car-On Auto Sales on March 18, 2023. I was at Car-On this afternoon looking at the Audi TT that was in the show room. and the sale rep Mike was extremely help full; his work ethics was excellent his customer service exceptional. On the other hand, the appraiser body language and customer service were unacceptable and his body language not to mention his personality came off very abrasive. He failed to introduce himself or his acting position. He was requesting to test drive my vehicle without showing me any credentials which is unacceptable. As a customer service I had the worst experience he was very judgmental, and prejudice and walkway leaving me with no further service. I will never forget the said experience and will not hesitate to voice my option to others in my profession and to publish on my portfolio concerning the business work ethics that was portrayed by Car On.
I was first drawn to car on for the prices, very good prices for very good quality cars when you take the time to look. Our salesman Phil was patient and helpful when we knew what we were looking for, and taking the time to show us multiple vehicles with the options we were looking for. We had our heart set on an Audi and when they came back with the payments, we were amazed with the numbers they provided us. After meeting with Richard and going over financing, everything was good, but later on we found out some issues that were preventing us from getting the car we wanted. Richard and Simon worked out some numbers, and helped us out so much to get into the vehicle we had our heart set on. After shopping around online we ended up coming to Car-On as they had a number of vehicles we were interested in looking at at reasonable prices. It turns out the price you see is the price you will pay. This actually made the buying experience easier for us as the vehicle we decided on was already the best priced from the ones we had seen online. Robert was great to work with and helped us with the test drive and ensured us that is we found anything that needed their attention that they would take care of it. He put zero pressure on us to buy. Very refreshing. Oday did the paperwork and warranty and was excellent to work with explaining everything clearly. Also, no pressure from him to purchase a warranty. (but we did) Overall the buying experience was great. Thanks again.
No proper costumer service. I had a deal to buy a car from this dealership and they said that you can pay the car for full price with a credit card. I was supposed to pick up my car on a Saturday and it was ready on Thursday. They lied 3 times about the time my car was supposed to be ready. When we sat on the table to sign the papers they told me that we can not accept the credit car payment and it has to be paid with a check or debit card. They are liars and wolves hiding in a sheep’s clothing. When we started to discuss our problem with the payment and called the manager, he canceled the deal and tear the papers in half in front of me. I have never ever been this much disrespected in a formal place and I would not recommend a single person to buy a car from this place.
I went to look at a Honda Civic and was unfortunate in getting acquainted with their salesperson Mr. Peter Owens. Peter would not let me complete my questions about the car. Always interrupting me with some random facts about Hondas that had nothing to do with the car I was looking at. He wanted me to put down $500 deposit otherwise he had two other buyers waiting to pick up that Civic that day itself. He tried to bully me into making a hasty purchase so that he could meet his quota for the day. He did not even have basic information on when the car was last serviced and would need oil change. He said he would get me all that after I paid I got out of there and suggest everyone to stay away. If you are a new buyer, these guys will damage your trust in people forever.
We had an amazing experience with customer service at Car-On Auto sales. We were placed in, not one but two vehicles that we are very happy with. Moe was an excellent sales associate in finding what we needed while working with our budget as well as going over extra concerns that was made all included in the sale price. Melinda made the sale so easy and was very knowledgeable when it came to what was recommended for warranty. She 100% looks out for the customer and makes sure everyone’s happy. The service and body shop did a wonderful job in cleaning up and servicing the trucks to make sure they were safe and clean for us to take home. They also provided a detailed report on everything they worked on. Big thank you for moving us into our next chapter guys!
I went to the previous dealer I got my other car from and had an absolute HORRIBLE experience this time around. After many issues with the last dealer I was nervous to trust another used dealer. I have horrible credit and just really wanted to build mine and get a reliable car and car on helped! Saffy was friendly from the second he seen me. Stephanie the receptionist was amazing and the help I received from saffy was amazing. Even dealing with finances was amazing. I got a car I really like because they took the time to try and make the customer happy. They didn’t just want a sale, they wanted a happy customer and they got one. Great experience buying a 2021 dodge ram back in Sept 30, 2023. I was dreading having to car shop and had gone to a few other dealers in Ottawa, but this is not the typical car dealership experience. Sellers not spewing cringy sales tactics and no back and forth with the person in the “backroom” on price, as all prices are what you see on the tag - so, no awkward negotiations and feeling like you are getting screwed. After sale/service was also great … had an minor issue with a light bulb, but they said to come on by and they’d take a look. It was super fast and got fixed right away. Everyone was really friendly! I would definitely (and have already) recommend friends and family in buying a car/truck there.

Really bad experience purchasing an Audi Q3. Highly skeptical that safety was even fully done, sold the car with existing/long term exhaust leak (pictures to show), asked if any modifications were done to car to which they stated NO (outright lie) , once I put car on hoist, car has complete downpipe system from CTS, car has obviously been tuned and has an intake. I also asked them to fix GPS and radio and headlight sensors, none of it was fixed headlights beam up randomly, radio doesn't connect to Bluetooth half the time and randomly switches to Czech language by itself. Called and no one ever returned my call, they do not care about you once the car is sold. Do not waste your time here.
Called on the 11th asking about a specific vehicle. Mike told me it was available. Showed up on 13th, Mike was gone, another salesman showed me that the vehicle I asked about had been sold on the 7th. The man flat out lied to me. On top of that, the second vehicle I was interested in was sold pending loan approval. Lied to get me to show up and m Made me deive across the city during rush hour for nothing. Even now, almost 2 weeks after that vehicle was sold, it is listed on auto trader and car gurus so they can mislead people onto their lot. The other salesman I then delt with was nice and I almost didn't leave a negative review because of him but what Mike did is inexcusable.
Stay away from this place, bought my Mercedes from this place almost 6 months ago. Recently found out when I was getting buff job done,that doors were painted poorly and paint start coming off. Took it back to them and ask the manager, why they never mentioned anything about painted doors on 50k vehicle. Manager told me by law it's not their responsibility to tell anything about paint related defects to customers and they are not responsible for that and they are not going to fix it either. Such an disappointing and con dealership i ever came across. Was thinking of buying another car from these guys along with few of my friends, guess what not anymore.
Terrible, just terrible. The worst car shopping experience I’ve ever had. I booked an appointment to see a car. Appointment was confirmed, but shortly I got another call from the shop and I was told the car was sold and it is no longer available. Few days later I got a call from same sales agent and he said the previous sale was not completed and I can book another appointment. I booked another appointment. This time, just 10 minutes before the appointment, the same sales agent called me and said sorry the car was sold and his manager had not informed him. I believe these guys either don’t know the business or they play a game to make more money.
I live in Quebec and still decided to buy From Car-On. Anik and Melinda really helped my partner and I get the SUV we wanted and gave us very fair price for our trade in. I am a big BMW fan and I could really tell that Anik was very knowlegable on that matter. I had a problem with one of the mirrors after the sale and they got it fixed for me. They provided us a very trustful feeling wich we greatly apreciated. Dan gave us good help with financing and was also very nice to us! He can hook you up with some very good extended warranty. I recommend to give Car-On a try if you are looking for good customer service even after the sale is done!

They had great deals but after being left "on-hold" twice and emailing the "sales co-ordinator" Eva for a truck they had listed online I just gave up looking for info. I guess the sales team is too busy to answer the phone or return calls. It's good that the dealership is soooo busy...I guess? UPDATE: I took a chance and drove out to east end to look at the diesel Ram but found out from Saffy that the particular Ram had a person already pre-approved. Everyone there was friendly but very busy. I also learned that Car-on does not negotiate their prices which I did not know. Thanks for responding Mike Brown I appreciate it!
I can highly recommend both the sales team and the garage at Car-on! We had a wonderful experience with purchasing a new-to-us vehicle at Car-on, and they have been my regular garage for some time before that. We needed a new vehicle quickly, and after taking a look at a handful of dealerships, we kept coming back to the inventory at Car-on. Not overly happy with our experience at car on, I honestly wouldn’t recommend to anyone. They say they care about customer service but truly do not. I’ve been on site at multiple occasions and sales people have just looked at me and turned the other way no smiles no greetings. We’ve bought 2 cars from here and I’ve never had such a hard time with any purchase ever. My husband bought a car from them asis and thought they would at least put enough gas to get past the red empty line but no they apparently have a policy of not putting gas in an asis vehicle but no where do they disclose this policy? Not impressed at all.
Long time coming for this review as I purchased my car here maybe 4 months ago now. Mario is sales helped us, due to covid he went above and beyond to help us try out cars safely and efficiently. Sometimes it’s not easy moving a car seat around and takes up time by Mario was patient and helpful. I used to think used car dealers would be a little sketchy and they would try and pull fast ones on you. Not here. The price they show is the price, it’s a fair price and they work on volume. I had a great experience, Mario in sales, Richard in finance, Pierre helping finalize the deal. I would recommend to others for sure.

I couldn't ask for better service. I have bought used cars before from other places and had terrible service. Car-On has honest staff, they are upfront with you. Mario spent a good part of the day to make sure I was choosing the vehicle that was right for me. I didn't feel pressured, I was able to ask questions and they were addressed honestly. Richard in finance made my transaction hassle and stress free. Car-On also makes sure I'm having a good experience with routine follow up phone calls. I will definitely be buying again in the future and referring my friends and family.
Alex was fantastic throughout the entire sales process and after sales support. He was honest and upfront, my wife and I came out of the experience with a Hyundai Tucson that we are very happy with. Dealing with Melinda for the financing was smooth and she made us feel very comfortable with our decision. She got us the best deal for financing and even made it with our own bank so we can go through our own bank app to see it! All together this was a very good experience and i felt supported and comfortable the entire way through. This was a very much no-pressure environment!

We just bought a used car here and have to say our sales rep, Peter, was terrific. We were test driving the car that we thought we wanted, and that we were prepared to purchase, when the discussion turned to another brand that we were curious about. Peter happened to have the other one in stock and insisted that we test drive it, too, before making a decision (even though this one was less expensive) and, you guessed it, we went with the one which better meets our needs. Oh, and they had it ready and delivered in two days. Now that is service, thank you Peter and team!
I bought Dodge grand caravan from this company, just next day check engine light on dashboard after3 days I visited to fix that problem and I spent 3 hours their after that I drove to home and next day problem was same engine light then I called back them and fix appointment and I drop car there at 9:30 am and pickup car at 3:30 pm they waste my 6 hours but didn't fix properly then next day problem was same. So guys don't waste money and time with this company, I will never recommend any one to go this company. I can't give them 0 star, this is fraud company .
My car was delivered to Sudbury from Ottawa on a flatbed - which I paid for. It arrived with a 1/4 tank of gas and no electric charge. Very disappointing. Makes me wonder what else was skimped out on - was the oil really changed as they claim they do? Service was OK but there wasn't much to it. I contacted the dealership and told them which car I wanted. They just had to do the paperwork and arrange for delivery. I will say that the finance guy I dealt with (Dan) was helpful but I think if you pay $30K for a car the least they could do is fill it up.

My family buys all our vehicles from Car-On. I just purchased our 7th vehicle and yet again the service was amazing, and they have a great selection of vehicles. I cannot suggest any salesperson as they are all amazing but we have always dealt with Mario, and Alex (a little soft spot for those 2) Dan is the best in financing, works hard to get you the best rate and deal. Simon, well I cannot say enough about Simon, always there to help and solve issues quickly. You always feel welcomed and cherished as a client.
Probably one of the worst car buying experiences in the city. You enter their "show room" which feels more like a call center and are greeted by a bunch of salesmen who instantly look at you like vultures. After you meet the salesmen, they could care less to actually show you the lot. Instead they tell you to go out and walk the massive lot with little to no guidance. After walking for a minute I got in my car and left. I will never return and will advise people not to go here. Customer service at its worst
Sales department has always been good, but of course who’s isn’t when you’re dishing out cash. Service, nice group, but horrible service. I’ve repeatedly taken a 7:30am booking for regular maintenance and my vehicle doesn’t get looked at until 3+ hours later! What’s the point?!? There’s been other issues each visit, but not respecting my time is my biggest pet peeve. Unfortunately, or fortunately depending how you look at it, today was my last attempt. My money will be spent elsewhere.
My husband and I were in the market for a new vehicle and had already been to several other places for test drives before going to Car-On Auto and while loving the vehicle was obviously a big factor, the amazing and friendly service we received from Dominic gave us the confidence that making our purchase with Car-On Auto was the right choice. Had to take a 2013 Kia Sorento back for repair that was supposed to be done before picking it up. After 1 canceled appointment by them, I finally got it in 2 months after purchase. After they had 2 days with my Vehicle, I was informed by them it still wasn't finished. Mechanic guide says it's a 8-10 hrs job. I was finally told to get off my high horse and they'd call me when it was finished. I don't recommend anyone buying from or getting repairs done by this dealership..
Bought a vehicle from car on auto sales. Had the vehicle for 34 days and drive 4730 Kms. Had to replace 2 x front wheel bearings, sway bar linkage and front drivers side axle. Recommend not buying a vehicle from them and if you do take it to another garage to get an inspection done for overall safety to make sure it is safe before you put you kids in it. I regret not doing that and this is what happens when you put your trust in so called professionals in the industry.
I'd love to give 5 stars and my issue isn't with the vehicle. I was promised $1000 if I referred someone and I referred 3 people, one of whom even bought two different vehicles. Every time I went in I was told they just mailed the cheque that morning. Seriously shady, untrustworthy characters. We're talking used car salesmen here so I never held my breath but this level of unprofessionalism is absolutely sickening. So no, I won't refer anyone here ever again.
I would like to commend Kevin one of the car on auto representative. He really helped me a lot on choosing my car. He goes beyond his effort to accomodate me. He is easy to talk with and very professional. It's our second car we had with him and we're very happy. Just bought my daughter her first car from Saffy at the dealership. Second time buying from him and happy to report that after a few months of ownership I have purchased my second quality vehicle for cheap! Very happy with the professionalism and help getting a car! NOTE: My first purchase from CarOn my check engine light came on and it was just a O2 sensor from bad gas - the sales staff directed me to service center and relieved my worries - very happy!
Only 1 of a few more bad reviews coming. Employee health is degrading in this workplace. Not a single care on the world is an employee lost his mother. Unexplained days off and a release. Days off were explained and office staff knew. Would not consider this a work place or a place to buy cars. I got some dirt on this place from 5 employees hahaha 2 in sales and 3 in mechanics I have to edit my review as the owner can’t remember. My brother Ben.

This company scammed me and is untrustworthy there is a sales man named safi and his manger who showed us a car and when we asked him for the safety he said that any car that is more then 10 years old doesn’t have a safety. And he told me that the car just needs a small fix. When I took it to the mechanic he told me the body is extremely rusty and the car is not safe for me to drive. They scammed me and sold me a piece of garbage.
I felted scammed leaving after talking with the Finance guy only told me how much the mounthly payments Turns out I'm paying 19500 for a car that's as is. Five days of having the car the pedal assembly fell apart and bracket detached from the firewall. I regret this because now I'm stuck driving a not so great looking wrx now. I still suggest looking at there cars just don't trust Richard he's only cares about the company.
Excellent pre-buy service, after not quite as friendly. Have called the salesman and finally got through. There seemed to be a disconnect between sales and service. This was not the salesman's fault. Over a week later, I am to go in and have a clip replaced on the left front panel. Make that a third 80-minute round trip and finally have the clip replaced. Personnel have been courteous overall. No follow-up from staff.
The team at Car-On has been friendly, professional and trust-worthy throughout the entire process. Alex is clear and straight in his answers about every aspect of the car, Richard is meticulous and extremely patient with every relentless inquiry and Mike is accommodating and true to his word. A family-business with integrity selling cars of exquisite quality; they have my loyalty for at least a generation to come.

Had a bad experience buying a car from this dealership. After agreeing on price with manager over phone, I drove out there (40 min drive) and found out it needed a new transmission. Went ahead with the deal as it was still affordable only to be told that the owner didn’t want to sell at original agreed on price. My time was wasted and managers don’t seem to have any authority. I wouldn’t recommend.
I finance a vehicle from them and 6 months later from the numerous issues that occurred since driving it off the lot and come to find out the vehicle has a cracked engine brought it to two mechanic shops to check it out and both confirmed the same things since the crooked people who work at this place failed to tell me this in the first place . I’m escalating this to MTO. This place is a big scam
Everybody here is super helpful. Boyfriend and I purchased a truck here recently and we were very impressed by the staff's service, transparency, and thoughtfulness during the process. We even had to bring it back to repair an issue with the door and there were no questions asked - they took on the repair free of charge right away. If I was looking for a car today I would absolutely go back here.
Experience was good. The only problem is they don't answer their emails and also please DON'T BELIEVE WHEN THEY OFFER THE REFERRAL OF SOMEONE TO BUY A CAR FROM THEM AND THEY GIVE YOU $100 OR $150 BECAUSE THEY DONT. I referred 2 people and NEVER saw the money. Even after calling them. They just tell you excuses that they need to wait 30 days blah blah blah. It's been months and NEVER received it.

I walked in to car on looking for a truck. I was paired up with Zain as soon as I walked in. It was about an hour and a bit till close. Zain narrowed down some trucks based on my preference. Took a couple for a test drive. After that the rest was history. Smooth and easy dealing with him. Got the deal done and just picked up my new Tacoma yesterday. Would definitely go back!

Made an appointment to view a Toyota Highlander. On arrival, there was no place to park. The salesman who I was to meet kept me waiting 10 minutes while others stood outside and smoked. After finally meeting the salesman and looking at the vehicle, he told me I could not test drive any vehicle until I was pretty much ready to buy. What a waste of my time!
After breaking down in Ganonoque we contacted Steve at the dealership and met with him the following morning after we had gotten a ride to Ottawa. He had picked out a truck that was set up to pull the 5th wheel trailer. He and Alex went the extra mile to get us back on the road so we could enjoy are holidays to Newfoundland. Good car. Ok service. We did wait for more than two hours to pick up the car in store (with appointment), rushed to sign everything, then it took two months to get our deposit back, and an extra key - but everything worked out in the end. The sales manager, Mike Brown, did a great job at solving our issues. Thank you for your hard work. :)
