Update April 2019. The serpentine belt in my car was NEVER replaced (see my earlier review below). That was agreed at the sale of the car (Written in sale contract). My mechanic noticed that was not done when I got the car and took it in for an oil change. So, I contacted Janex, they agreed to change it as it was supposed to and apologized for "the ommision". I went to their mechanic, waited 2 hours while they "changed" the belt. In fact, they probably tried because someone bent the adjustment bolt for the belt and I was eventually told the job was done. Nearly a year after, the serpentine belt started squealing. My mechanic took a look and told me that the belt was worn out and the bolt had loosened and was bent. By all accounts, the Janex mechanic did not replace the belt and lied to me that he had done it. I feel cheated and would not recommend this place as a result. ---Original review that I posted in 2018--- I am very satisfied with the service that I have received when I purchased my car from Janex. The negotiations were courteous. They presented me with a car inspection report but I had the car inspected by an independent mechanic. ‎Janex had identified all the same safety concerns that my mechanic had. My mechanic also noticed that the serpentine belt needed replacing which was not a safety concern. But, Janex agreed to replace it as part of the sale at the previously agreed sale price and that was properly recorded into the sales contract. However, my mechanic subsequently noticed that while all the safety items had been corrected, the serpentine belt had not been replaced. I contacted Janex and they immediately scheduled the maintenance. Moral of the story, always apply due diligence and always track work when making an expensive purchase. That said, I found Janex‎ to be very responsive and accommodating. I always treated them respectfully and calmly and they returned the favor in kind. Therefore, I will gladly return to see them next time that I buy a car and I will recommend them to my friends and family.

NOT RECOMMENDED..!! They robbed me. Dealer increases the price at time finance, hide paperwork, passes safety with damaged tires, didn’t provide things as discussed in deal. I bought BMW in January 2021 from this dealership. Deal was including winter tires. They said need to find tires for the car and i took delivery without winter tires. They asked me to sign paperwork twice they said they made mistake. Sales guy took the signature without letting me read or informing me the changes they made on the paper work. They increased the value of the car, put extended warranty (without my permission) and charged 800$ of Finance Fees. I asked them for the paperwork they said they dont give paperwork to customers and they only email it. I followed up for 2 weeks to get my paperwork from them. When i asked for winters tires they told me there is no mentioning of winter tires on paper. After getting the car, on the next day i noticed the front two tires had small bubble and cut on the tires. I tired reaching them they wont answer. When got in contact manager said he was the one working and is busy and will check on it soon. After following up for couple of weeks manager gave contact of the owner. Owner asked to meet and resolve the issue. He said you can return the car or keep the car with the increased price and pair of winter tires. Total increase in price was 6k so i decided to give car back. On the next day owner calls and says if you want to return car you will have to pay 2k. I didn’t agreed and after couple of arguments owner turned back on me and said you keep the car as is. During the conversation got threatening call from sales guy, abused and owner is also the same turns back on deal.

I'll start by saying I did not end up buying a car here (due to unrelated circumstances) so this review isn't influenced by having found my perfect car. My wife and I visited Janex to go see an Audi we were interested in. When we got there, the car was out front, cleaned and warming up. Sal gave use a walk around of the car and showed off some of the interior features. He was very knowledgeable and honest which we greatly appreciated. We went for a test drive and Sal accompanied us which was unusual but ultimately we didn't mind as he answered many of our questions. After all was said and done, we discussed the details and Sal proved to be extremely patient as my wife and I went back and forth for hours. At this point, the dealership was closed but they stuck around to make a sale. Sal got us a really good deal, allowed us to schedule an independent inspection and handed us off to Oday to work out the financials. Oday is a super charismatic and funny guy but above all, he works hard to get you the best financial terms. He followed up with us very quickly, contacted the bank directly when we couldn't reach them and overall did everything he could for us to close the deal. Ultimately, we ended up having to pull out of the deal due to unrelated circumstances. Both Oday and Sal were rightfully disappointed given the hard work they put in but ultimately made it simple and easy for us to walk away. They didn't give us a hard time or try to strong arm us in any way which is sadly too common nowadays. I would definitely consider them again for my next car based on the service, honesty and knowledge of German luxury vehicles.

Incredible, amazing, friendly and honest. This review may be long but well worth the read. These are just a few words to explain the ultimate customer service and experience we had with Janex Auto Sales and specifically Jan Zahariev. Purchasing a car and specifically a used car can be a very stressful experience if you are not purchasing from a non-major dealership. There are many ‘used car lots’ around Ottawa and you always hear the bad stories and experiences sometimes too late - usually after the sale has been made. Our dealings with Jan right from the very start were nothing but positive. His friendly and welcoming personality, non-pressure attitude, product knowledge, listening skills and integrity shone brightly. Coupled with incredible customer service skills we knew right from the very start that we were in good hands. The car we chose needed some mechanical work as well as some ‘clean up’ and all was done quickly and efficiently to our utmost satisfaction. The engine compartment and interior of the car was a little rough but their detail person made it look like new, and I am a very fussy person. All to say, we would without hesitation refer and recommend Jan and Janex Auto Sales to anyone looking to buy a vehicle without having to worry about the process of the sale and quality of the vehicles they sell.

My experience at Janex far exceeded my expectations. The level of patience, kindness, and respect I received was immeasurable. Sam spent the entire day with my family and I, answering all of our questions, and providing us with the right information. His approach was never focused on just selling us a vehicle. He took his time to properly explain things to my family and I, and provided his professional expertise whenever necessary. He also went well out of his way to try to help us find a vehicle that would accommodate all of our needs. Overall, it is because of Sam and the other Janex employees, that our visit was so enjoyable. I would like to additionally add that, even the staff we did not directly interact with, provided us a pleasant experience. The owner was very kind and patient, diligently answering all of our questions, while also humouring some of our googled inquiries. There was also another female representative that was very welcoming. Her brief but polite comments on the vehicles we were considering, provided much needed reassurance. Overall, the staff and car selection at Janex are all of top quality, and Janex is definitely an auto dealership I would recommend.

My family bought a vehicle about a month ago from Janex, and the experience we've had so far has been fantastic. We may have slightly overpaid compared to buying privately, but they took care of everything from start to finish. This was the 5th same vehicle we had test driven over the past couple years and it was the cleanest and drove the best. The most important thing for us is that my elderly father was happy with it, and for the ladies, mom loved the colour. All that sealed the decision for us, as well as Sal's friendly and patient approach. There was a minor problem with the A/C shortly after the purchase, but it was taken care of by Sal and Janex. So even though we may have paid slightly more than other similar vehicles we saw elsewhere, the service we received from them was nearly on par, or even better than buying a new vehicle from a dealership. We've had brand new cars from other makes (H***a) and they didn't care about their customers at all. I'd be more than happy to buy another vehicle from Janex again. Thanks for making it a painless, even enjoyable process - my parents are happy, and so am I. Thank you Sal and the rest of the Janex staff.

We went on a whim because they had a lot of cars in the range of what we were looking for. Salesperson Sal was really friendly and personable and helped us find a vehicle that suited what we said we needed pretty easily and quickly. Unfortunately, during the financing step their finance specialist Oday was friendly but not very professional. He was “joking” about how women have too many rights and shouldn’t have any more. I think he realized and sort of apologized at the end but it left a bad taste in my mouth. After we left I also discussed the vehicle and it’s history with my mechanic (Sal had showed us the CARFAX but went over it a little too quickly for my liking) and we decided it wasn’t for us after all. Since we hadn’t reached the point of signing anything we decided not to go ahead with the deal. Reached out to Sal (on a Sunday when they’re closed, mind you) and Sal replied promptly and professionally. They also refunded my down payment the very next day. So that’s my honest review! I’d say Sal was what made the experience good, but the experience had its cons too.

I'll admit, I was hesitant to buy with Janex because some of the reviews were scary. I even asked about a vehicle and then said no thanks because of the reviews. That being said, my experience with Janex was excellent. We dealt with Sam as well as the owner and they were honest, attentive, and went above and beyond. They had our SUV ready several days early to surprise my husband for his birthday. They gave us a special pen to use for any dings in the paint. The price they were asking was very reasonable and what they gave us for our trade in was higher than anywhere else. I've also waited over a month to leave this review just in case we got through the warranty period and the engine blew up or something lol Instead, we're still just as happy with our purchase as we were when we picked it up in February. We paid cash so I can't speak to their lending department but overall they came through on all of their promises and we wouldn't hesitate to come back for another purchase.

Selected a vehicle on Jan 15 which needed some work. Owner made list of items to repair and offered us a conditional sale, pending our approval. We gave a deposit of $1,000 and waited 16 days. Not all repairs were completed. During test drive the check engine light came on again within blocks of the dealership. Owner refunded our deposit immediately. The conditional sale option is great. Their 30 day warranty for a $6000 purchase is not very great. Unfortunate that we couldn't make a sale. They did, however, attempt to get the service engine light to go out two more times and were honest with us about it. Just two pieces of advice for Janex: (1)Lose the basically naked women videos playing on the tv in the waiting room. Seriously offensive and very sexist. (2) Go ahead and invest in a few giant bags of ice melter, and get someone to break up that ice field out front - it's dangerous to drive or walk on - other businesses on your street have cleared theirs.

On Sept. 18th, 2021, I picked up my "new" Honda Civic at Janex Auto Sales. I love my car, but I have to say that since my first contact with Chelsea (Customer Service) and Jude (Financing), I only have been impressed at every step of the way. They made me feel welcomed and explained everything to me without making me feel like "I was taking too much of their time", it was all about me and my needs. I never felt pressured into making decisions I could end up regretting. I bought the car on the first day I went to "look" at cars, probably because their priority was always to give me all the information I needed, to make an informed decision, and not a pressured one. No pressure, answers to all my questions, patience, great customer care from the time I first opened the door, until I left with my new great car are the reasons I give 5 stars to Janex Auto Sales and recommend Chelsea and Jude to anyone ready to receive an A+ Service.

Janex has a big selection of very good quality vehicles. I found the right car with all the options I needed there. Met with Jason who was quite friendly and knowledgeable. Made me feel comfortable and important. Answered all I needed to know about the car and how the dealership prepares the car before delivery. Met with Sofiane the sales manager who was very personable and honest. I completed the sale and felt that I got the car at a reasonable price when compared to other similar cars on the market. I chose to finance the purchase and met with Faysal. The man is a wealth of knowledge and very articulate. Explained the process well and spent time going through the options. All in all a very good experience at Janex. Next time I am in the market for a used car I will certainly look them up.

I bought a bmw 2013 328I 2 years ago from them with a warranty cost me (5000$) before the purchase they told me they repair the timing chain problem, after 3 month my check engine light came on the dash i been several time to their garage they told me nothing its included in my reparation when i had full coverage warranty i change the thermostat at another garage because they told me its not included.I been 20 times to their garage they told me its was the timing chain problem they probably didn't repair it good and they don't want to assume i talk many time with the manager he didn't help me he kicked me out of the dealership. Im stuck now with a 4000$ problem in my car i do not recommended at all buying car from them u will put all your money on reparation.

I went to four different dealers before Janex - all of them either 1) forgot about the appointment, 2) didn’t update me when the car I wanted was sold after making an appointment, 3) didn’t even leave their office to show me the car, or 4) were just plainly unfriendly After I made the appointment but hadn’t yet gone to to Janex, the salesman I was talking to, Sal, would reach out and update me on vehicles and cater to what I needed. When I arrived, he was super welcoming, worked to find the car I needed, and did his best to get me a vehicle at a reasonable price despite the shortage. Even afterwards, he’d reach out to check in. Save yourself the time, stress and money and ask for Sal. Honestly the best customer experienced I’ve received in a long time

I was just looking around as I was in the market for a Audi Q5 for the family, and Sal, the Salesman, was able to find me a beautiful 2014 White on Beige Audi Q5 Tecknik Plus that was fully loaded and I am absolutely loving it! The stereo is amazing and the family love it already. Even though it's only been a couple months since my purchase, I feel like this car was the perfect car for our family and will last us a lifetime. Big enough for cargo and all trips we plan to have, as well as compact enough to not be a hassle to put my bikes on the rack, or to park it. Anyways I wanted to thank Janex for this great experience, even though I don't do google reviews ever, I felt like I had to let people know that Janex is actually a great dealership.

Ali helped me get everything sorted with the car, was very professional, and even went out of his way to help fulfil even my last minute requests. Robbie made the financing hassle free and transparent. From start to finish it was a zero pressure atmosphere that got me into the car I wanted quick and painlessly. To be honest, I’ve always been a skeptic of going through dealerships (probably to my own detriment in the end really), but these guys changed my mind on that. *UPDATE* After 3 months of trying to get service for my back window defrost line not working and paying an extended warranty, I am now told that they will not fix it! This is the worst costumer service I have ever had! I DOT NOT RECOMMEND this place. Don't get fooled by all the warranties and don't expect good service. We are very happy with the BMW X1 we purchased from Massi. The car was immaculate when we took it for a test drive. Massi was great to work with. No pressure tactics, and was extremely knowledgeable about the BMW. When we picked it up he took the time to explain all the features to us and help with all the personal settings in the computer. There was a slight issue with the front rotors after we had the car for a couple of weeks and Massi and Jan looked after it right away at no cost. Massi was also able to find some winter tires for me and delivered them personally to my house. We are very pleased with the customer service we received from Massi and are really enjoying the X1.

I test drove a car and was prepared to buy it pending my mechanic's inspection. Following the inspection, the car had clearly been in an unreported accident and was in worse shape mechanically than it appeared. I had placed a deposit to hold the vehicle, but since I did not end up buying it, I was told I would receive a full refund of the deposit. It's been over a month and I have yet to receive a refund, as promised. They have had very poor communication with me via email and phone. I called and left a message and never received a phone call back. Very frustrated with this dealership and their professionalism. I do not recommend you go see them to buy a used car.

Got my first car in here. I am very satisfied with the service and the quality of the car. Long story short: I purchased a used car that included winter tires. Come winter, they "couldn't find them" and I called and/or emailed them nearly every day for FIVE WEEKS. When they did respond they kept saying "we're looking, we'll call you back in a few minutes." They never called. If they had just been honest, I could have made other arrangements earlier and saved myself a lot of stress. In summary: - dishonest, I suspect the winter tires I paid for never existed - I've lost money because I had to buy tires elsewhere - I felt completely abandoned and devalued as a client I would avoid using them unless you want to make your life difficult.

My husband and I recently purchased a Mazda3 GS-Sky from them. When we arrived at the dealership, we were allowed to walk around and take a look at things without being hassled, and was then greeted by Sal after a short while. Sal was very informative and helpful. This dealership was honest, not pushy, and helped us get into a car within our budget. Both Sal and Fayez and everyone else that we worked with to get this car was very kind, helpful and accommodating during our purchase. Even though I did not end up purchasing from here (not their fault), I was more than ready to do business with them. Very professional, clean inventory, hassle free interaction overall. I dealt with Dax specifically for over 2 weeks, and he was a pleasure to speak with, and quick to respond. I did not feel pressured by him to purchase a car I wasn't convinced about. Clear, factual, and professional communication throughout the entire process with him. It didn't feel like he was just trying to sell me "some car" - it was very tailored, and he looked for ways to ensure what I'm looking for was met. I would recommend 10/10.

What a wonderful team there at Janex, I was first greeted by Sal, and he walked me around the lot, he was very knowledgeable about cars and about the specific SUVs that I was looking at. They weren’t pushy at all, very nice people. I decided to come back another day and purchased a 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLA. I really like how they don’t pressure their customers into buying cars. I just bought my 2016 Audi A7 from Marcus at Janex. What a great experience!! Marcus guided me every step of the way, explaining every little detail about my contract and taking me for an extra test ride just to be sure I was making the right decision. Chelsea was an angel in our lives, during a time when things were getting really dark. With my husband's recent diagnosis and inability to work, bills have been piling up and we were looking to trade in his 2020 car and get some cash back and purchase a cheap, older car. Chelsea came up with a much better solution for us and pulled us out of a very dark place. We are forever thankful for finding Janex and taking a leap on a Facebook ad! Thank you Chelsea! You are a God send! The process was painless, quick and pleasant! This was my best car buying experience ever.

I met one of your agents Chelsea Briscoe who showed me a car I was okay with due to lower mileage, cost and Make.later she said because of the year she wanted me to leave a deposit behind for a newer car( 2yrs newer) of the exact same make that was the one color I said I dont want and had higher mileage. Later the conversation got more condescending when I said I am not confortable with the a mileage of 100,000K or leaving a $500 deposit towards no car with no paper work to show the deposit. One of the most painful experiences I have had with car shopping.

Great and knowledgeable sales service when we came in to look around. The sales guy listened to what we wanted and didn't push us to spend more than we were comfortable with. As the van we chose had winter tires on it, they put all seasons on and packed the winter tires up for us to take. Great prices and Faysal, the financing manager was great. Easy to talk to and explained everything really well. They were able to get our minivan ready for pick up in a condensed time frame as our prior lease was almost up. Very positive experience overall!

I asked more than a couple of times for all the documents regarding the sale and when I double checked them after I got them, the price they sold us the car for was more than what we agreed on. The biweekly payment was also increased and they did not let us know about it. They sugar coated everything which made it sound fishy. I trusted them and I should have had a little more discretion when signing the papers. They delivered the car on time but with the dealership plate. I had to drive all the way back again to get my actual plates.

Jan was a pleasure to deal with. The car we purchased had a few scuffs and chips but Janex included the minor body work in their price and took care of everything. Great dealership and great experience. Friendly staff and honest service at it's best! It did take a bit longer than anticipated to have the car safetied but they compensated me for that with a discount on a new set of rims and tires, which was greatly appreciated. Bought a nice GLA 250 from Janex auto. The process was pretty straightforward until the financing portion. But James in financing sorted it all out and gave me specifics and what was going on and what the banks needed. He got me a great interest rate for my curcumstances and kept looking until he found me a lender. He has your back if you want a car and will do whatever it takes to get you the best deal. Really happy with the experience at Janex.

Didn't purchase a car here but Priyam was very kind and easy going when showing me cars. Overall, going to rate it 4/5 as it seemed like Priyam was packed and was helping multiple clients at same time. Multiple times he had to apologize for taking long time to get car keys or license plates. Not sure if there's lack of sale reps on the floor but they should be helping Priyam in those cases so he doesn't have to cover so much.

I recently purchased a suv threw janex. Chelsea and Jude were an amazing team. I picked a vehicle that was next to impossible to find lol. These two found this vehicle with every possible upgrade for me in quebec city and were able to get it here and on the road in 4 days. Not an easy task. They were available anytime I need to talk and helpful. They went above and beyond. Thank you Jude and Chelsea u guys where amazing.

Do not recommend this dealer. Purchased a car a year ago, although it seemed to be a good deal at the beginning with the salesman (Sal), I ended up having up having to pay more than promised at the time to hand over the car. Since it was my first car purchased felt that I felt like I had no choice since I had given the down payment. The price was shot up by “protection packages”. Better off negotiating on marketplace.

I had been looking for a couple weeks for a car around the Ottawa area, and my search ended at Janex. They have a good selection of good cars at reasonable prices. No pressure, no bull, just a friendly deal with Jan who gave me the impression that he cares that I'm happy with my purchase. And the other staff I encountered were equally friendly and respectful. I'll definitely go back when I'm in the market again.

BEWARE!!! If I could give less than 1 star I would. Bought my first car and I was robbed blind. Car was clearly in multiple accidents and I was never told. Car shut down completely in less than 2 months after I worked so hard to make a down payment and to this day I’m still paying for the car and I’m put on hold everyday with no hope. Definitely will report on OMVIC if I can’t find a solution.

This dealership scammed my friend. They said her car was coming from Quebec and that they would have it delivered to her on Tuesday. It has been almost a week and they now won’t answer her calls and inquiries about when she will get the car. They have all her financial information and she still has no car. Very very shady.

The dealership is very clean and well organized. Friendly staff with great customer service. Sal was a great sales person. Their finance manager Fayez Hattab was exceptional! His communication was great, very caring, and truly looks after the customer. He is easily reachable and will get you a great deal for your next car!

Bought a car from here and got scammed with every part of it. Literally ask anyone in town and they'll tell you how low key dirty scammers Janex is. I wish I bought from Kijiji and never came here. Literally wastes my last buck and I'm broke because I'm still fixing their car till today.

This dealer did not provide a contract with the advertised price per OMVIC rules (MSRP was inflated on the contract). In addition they mandated GAP insurance through their provider instead of having it through my own provider. Very shady.
