Started using Carly in 2022 and in the beginning the service and customer service was fantastic. I have adjusted my stars to 2 stars because now I am nearing the end of my contract, it is becoming evident that I am no longer valued, despite being with them for a year. Firstly, don’t believe them when they say you can swap your car once or twice a month. You’d be lucky to swap it once in a month with the things you need to do in order to swap a vehicle. Next, I fell short with money one week and sought an extension to pay the amount in full, but was rejected, then when I followed it up, they ignored my email until after I managed to make payment with no acknowledgement of issues and an extremely sarcastic comment about the amount being paid. Very poor. I also provided 30 days notice by their website and a follow up email - given my experience with trying to swap the car, I did not want to miss out on this timeframe. They responded at around 4:30pm the following day to tell me I had to respond that night otherwise the 30 days would change! Thank goodness I checked my emails - again, very poor customer service. And responses to my emails and queries now take longer than 48 hours, not good service at all. I now cannot wait to return the vehicle, as their service, lack of empathy, flexibility and communications are very poor. It is a disappointing ending to a service that started of promising.

I've used Carly more than once and I've found the service to be very helpful and affordable - having recently moved to Sydney from Overseas, Carly provided a fantastic alternative when I was hesitant to invest in my own car right away. Unlike other similar subscription providers, Carly doesn't ask you to pay an extortionate "sign-up fee" (looking at you, Carbar) or even a deposit - which is super convenient. The customer service team are prompt and very helpful, even issuing discounts to compensate me for some minor issues I faced. The service isn't perfect though, a few things that can definitely be improved: - Carly subscription includes insurance, however there is a damage excess that you have to pay upfront in the case of an accident, EVEN if you are not the faulty party. You would eventually be reimbursed from Carly's insurer, but this is still a big risk that could put you out of pocket for thousands of dollars for a while. Damage excess should not apply if you are not at fault. - Subscriptions can't be cancelled without a 30 days miniumum notice. Even if you return the car early, you still have to pay for the entire 30 days. This is inconvienent and should either be reduced or alternatives provided. The Carly team is excellent however and I hope they can take this feedback onboard to make the service even better.

Starting from the pick up experience, when I arrived at the place (an airport parking), it seems no one knew what Carly was and what I was doing there. Luckily they could find the correct person to get me the car and to do all the papers. But, when the car arrived, for my surprise it had a flat tyre. The person from the parking (not from Carly) said she couldn’t do anything. I had to call to Carly customer service, to be told they were sorry and if I could take the car to a tyre shop and get a new one. Although they paid for the tyre, I had to spend my time driving with a flat tyre and going to a tyre shop to get a new one. Second thing is that they gave me the car with less then half fuel in the tank. Please be aware of that because they are going to charge you in the return if fuel is not full. After 5 months with the car, I decide to return it since I no longer needed it to my daily commute to work. Car was very good taken care of, and including taken to a car wash before return. For my surprise, I just received an email from Carly saying car was not return in the same conditions and that I would have to pay 75 dollars for a cleaning, and they sent a generic picture of the car, where whatsoever I can see any kind of dirt in the car. Carly has a poor customer service and they’re careless about they’re customers.

Not keen on handing out bad reviews but these guys deserved one. Hire a car and they were unable to deliver so we had to trek to Belmore to collect it. Car had a strong deodorant on collection. After about a week it faded and we realised it was there to block out the stale cigarette smell. We advised them and they simply told us to pick a new car but the trek to Belmore and back made it a full day trip. We cancelled the car and were told we had to give one month's notice. Gave notice and took car back after 1 month. On arrival we had a staff.member go over the car with a fine tooth comb. He found a tiny crack in a rear brake light and a tiny dent on the roof. We argued about it for a while and then remembered that we had taken photos on collection. The crack was so small, I had to get my laptop out, transfer the pics onto the larger screen and show that the crack was there prior. If we had not had this evidence we would have been liable for damage that we had not done. It was a shocking experience and we would not use this company again. We also dont think a 1 month notice period is reasonable so be warned when you sign up. Its in the fine print. (Just don't sign up.)

The positives : The cars on fleet are great all usually modern and run great, look great. Picking up a car is easy enough and drop off as well. I really like that you can see the car you will get including its features before you get it. So if you’re looking for a car to subscribe this is GREAT. Most important is no deposit you just pay for your first payment upfront and the car is yours. This is one thing they have over the competition. Negatives: the cars can get pricy once you go into the mid tier plan with higher KM’s/ week and less excess. You also have to give a months notice to return a car that takes you two days to pickup. This is absurd to me because with subscription you can cancel before the next payment is due but with them they force you into two more payments before returning the car. Next THE EXCESS is insane and the whole process if you get into an accident can be real sweat inducing! So if you get a car pray you dont damage it on purpose or inadvertently. Overall they’re probably the best rental option I have seen if you want to get straight to the point and they have great cars but they’re pricy and damage payment is a premium !

Sign up was simple enough, though the T&Cs had some glaring errors (quick call sorted them out). Car was great. Literally brand new, perfect model for us and the price was MUCH lower than a typical rental. Pickup was painless (staff member was terrific). drop off was by appointment (slightly odd) but again staff were great. If you're seeking a car for running about town and want to avoid endless Ubers and the insane cost of rentals, this is your best bet. If you're seeking something to travel longer distances check the milage allowance, cos it might sting. Would have been 5 star, except its all too much money for a damn car. But thats life these days it seems. Be wary of the insurance excess!!! Its EXCESSIVE!

It’s so easy to set up. For religious reasons I need to stay away from any interest bearing services so I found that Carly Subscription was a great alternative to getting a loan and “owning” a car. It was also a much cheaper option than other car lease companies or rent to own companies as well. The Team are super helpful and really offered a great service. I was disappointed that the car I subscribed to wasn’t clean so when I asked the Team about it, they offered to reimburse me for the cost of a professional clean. I sent them the receipt and received a reimbursement within a couple of days.

This is another review for Carly, but this time I had a better experience. Following my 1-star review, I was contacted by the team (RG Milana, Emmanuel) to check what can be done for a better experience. I'm mentioning it because both were really helpful and understanding, and were willing to go above and beyond to help me. It is good to know there is someone to communicate with on the other end. Also, prices are fair when calculating monthly car payments, rego, maintenance, etc. I highly recommend Carly!

Carly works pretty well and it's a good deal compared to the cost of a novated lease, especially for small business owners. It's great to have the flexibility of switching cars. Just take extra care to avoid scratching or damaging the car, to avoid paying for repairs. Also take note of which cars can be delivered to you and which can't. The delivery option is definitely more convenient - several cars come from dealerships, and some dealers are not very familiar with the service as it's quite new.

We are current subscribers (second time in last 12mths). A fantastic service that is causing uber level disruption to traditional car hire models. We have taken advantage of the switch function once and it was also seamless and has allowed us to "try before we buy" a new car. My only suggestions that would improve customer experiences: # Tint the windows of the cars - this is Australia and it's going to be a hot summer. # Offer an pick up / drop off service (aka to your door).

If you need a car urgently or you have a plan to travel , this company is not for you. I found Carly not trustable, I reserved a car after 2 days I received an email that the car I subscribed is not available then I received an email that I can choose another car, I accepted the suggestion, surprisingly after 2 days after I followed up, I received another email that the car is not available again. Now the email says a car might be available for the next week!!!???

Carly's product and services are convenient, flexible and cost effective. It is a brilliant idea. You don't have to think about the cost associated in buying a car and holding it for long time. Their cars are quality and faultless I never had any problem while driving their car for long time. Staff are always quick and responsive in their support if there is any problem. Great experience! My personal car needed to spend a few months at the mechanic and Carly came to the rescue. The customer service team was easy to work with, quick response times and immediately addressed any concerns. Thankfully I didn't need to use the roadside assistance or insurance, but it was great piece of mind knowing they were included in the cost. I would definitely recommend Carly and would use them again if needed.

I would recommend Carly to everyone reading this. I ordered a car, and was able to pick it up the very next day. The entire process has been amazing. No hidden fee's /charges. No sign up fees was the cherry on top. Some other companies were charging up to $500 just to sign up (crazy). A special shout out to Jasper who has been nothing short of amazing. Thank you for assisting me and making the process seamless.

I am a current subscriber and wouldn't recommend this company. Had issues with the tolls which they made me pay $10 per transaction. Verbally I was informed putting the eTag is fine. I asked if this could be waived off. Not at all and when I said I will give up the car, they are happy to do so. It's very clear this company is after profits and do not care about customers so take your risk with this company.

Rented an MG for a 3 month period, pricing was accurate with no extra charges, whole process from applying, pick up & drop off was seamless, turn around from customer service was 10/10, it is pricey in general, however a great alternative if you do not wish to outlay a great deal of cash on a brand new car. Only reason stopped renting as travelling, definitely look to rent upon return

Initially it was a great service and the car I was given ran well and was good, however, the buttons on the key were very worn and eventually two of them fell off which made it inconvenient to use to unlock/lock the car. Not only that but they wanted me to pay for the key stating it was returned damaged. Their customer service is poor and their policies are unreasonable.

We found ourselves suddenly without a car week before Christmas - lots planned and no way to get repairs until late January. We did our research and with some scepticism approached Carly. We had no reason to fear or doubt as they were transparent with pricing and quick in all responses. Best of all - we ended up with a car from Carly within 48hrs and everything was saved

Worst experience ever! Majority of calls/emails are all off shore and the off-shore team lack any interpersonal skills. Poor responsive time and quite an arrogant outlook to dealing with customers. I’d check out another option to Carly or use a hire a car- pay a little more but the customer service would be any day better! Dont recommend using!

One of my worst experience in booking the carly subscription. They just inform you on the date of taking the delivery that supplier has not delivered the car. They give you last minute surprises.They don't even call to inform you that car is is not available. After booking my car for one month.They never called me at all.

Poor Customer Service Hi Richard, As a business, you should be aware that when you deduct money from an account you should provide a tax invoice, in addition you should be more transparent when original invoices are requested you should provide them, Carly generated statements are not the original invoices.

Carly is an excellent service and I love the concept. That said they have some obvious operational issues and I put this down to the business being quite new. They need a better inventory of cheaper / small vehicles - I hope the partnership with Hyundai will help here. Love them and would use again.

If I could give zero stars, I would have. Sent a signed contract which I signed and returned promptly and was then declined. Why bother sending the contract if the verification process had not been completed. Poor form by Jasper and company.

Love Carly because there is no need to queue for a long time at car rental booth, the cars are newer and less damaged, know what car I am getting (compared to rental which you don't know) and the pricing is also lower even compared with 10

Easy sign-up but ran into issues subscribing on mobile, had to finish up on web browser. Service was quick and really helpful. Only bugbear - car delivery available if outside 20km otherwise you need to pickup and drop off at location
