Carnarvon Park offers many recreation opportunities, from a multitude of sports fields to a fitness circuit and a children's playground. The dappled shade of the tree-lined walks makes for a very enjoyable stroll, with a diversity of trees that include ash, plum, crabapple, and hornbeam. This park was first assembled by the Point Grey Municipality prior to the City of Vancouver amalgamation in 1929. It was secured by tax sales from the B.C. Government. The Park is named for one of its bounding streets which in turn is named for the Earl of Carnarvon who was Britain's Secretary of State and introduced the British North America Act thereby bringing into confederation the Canadian provinces.

This is a brilliant park! Big, wide open spaces, lots of room to dance, play sports, BBQ and have a wonderful time with friends. Has a baseball diamond and football uprights, and even a concession stand during games. Wonderful, and another gem in Vancouver. So glad we found it! Peace.

Plenty of park space around the elementary school. Big fields, sports spaces, a fenced in gravel field, some cozy spots for outdoor exercise, and a big playground. Plenty of dogs in the mornings and evenings, but sports and school children occupy most of the space during the days.

Very well maintained field with sprinklers and green grass (even in August during a heat wave). There are a few baseball diamonds and a football field. Washrooms are in the small building on the West side of the field. There's plenty of parking all around the park.

Carnarvon is a beautiful park, especially because there are no students (No offense intended). It is very peaceful, and you can see people lying down or playing with their dogs throughout the massive field. I definitely recommend it if you live near it. …

Washroom facility is there which is clean and nicely maintained. park is also properly allocated for parking and spectators to sit around.

I like this place. It is right near our house, and we are playing croquet, and it is super fun. I really like the place and the area.

There were about 1000 snow geese grazing there. This is new, they haven't been seen here for about 30 years.
