I’m a (public) library aficionado and I’ve got to admit that I’ve been impressed with both of the Frankston Council libraries that I’ve visited so far. I’ve just visited the Carrum Downs branch and I’ll just repeat what I said about the main Frankston branch … Frankston is a large’ish city these days (100,000+ population) and the (Carrum Downs branch) library shows it. It is very large, well staffed, well stocked with all the functionality I’ve come to expect from a “library” these days as they move from the traditional “shoosh” to a lively community centre designed to encourage access and interaction. To which I’d add that it comes with a large car park alongside, which makes it much more accessible than the Frankston branch. Plus it abuts the Carrum Downs Regional Shopping Centre.

A lovely library with all the facilities and activities you need. Much quieter than some of the ones nearby. The only negative I could find is it has just one printer so when it breaks, no printer. Aside from that, it's perfect for studying or visiting and has plenty of kids' books and a few DVDs too. CDL - Please keep your nice long hours and increase on weekends if possible.

The staff are super super friendly, understanding and helpful. I just want to say a huge thank you for your assistance for everything. They are super patient and help me find the unreturned book on the self when the return scanner didn’t scan the book properly. Anyway it is the best local library you could relied on.

Quite a small library, but has easy parking outside, a few stores outside (takeaway) if you're hungry, and very quiet even on a Saturday afternoon. Perfect for studying! Also has desks, chairs and powerpoints for laptop. Huge thumbs up for friendly staff and how tidy the space is inside. Love it.

I haven't visited with my 3 boys 3, 6 &9 since before the first lock down and had forgotten how lovely this library is. The had so much to look at and do and they had story time at 4pm with a dog. It was adorable. And the staff are absolutely lovely. Highly recommend.

Our local library for the past 18 years or more we still find the selection of books really diverse its great for our 5 year old to browse and pick usually 5 books per visit and the staff always have a chat with him. Its a special place we love it ❤

Great bookstore, wide range of books of varying shapes and sizes. Kind lady refused to take payment for a copy of the Alan Sampson autobiography, very generous. Not sure how they will stay in business with that model, but good luck to all;

Neat and tidy library with so many services available to the public. Kate was very welcoming and super willing to help with anything and everything. What a great place for people in the local community.

Small collection, well suited to younger families, kids and home schooling. Open until 6pm and an even later 10pm Thursday evenings. Tea and biscuits provided. Great for the home school teacher

One of my favourite places to go and unwind! Lovely helpful staff and I especially love the libraries after dark initiative, where the library is open til 10pm each Thursday night

Quite a good range of books. Very helpful staff. Peace and resource to work on projects. Ample parking and easy access. After hours books chute is available too.

Nice place to enjoy books. Hope they can open earlier at 9AM so that parents can drop by after bringing small kids at school.

Nice little spot to hang out and catch up with some reading/research. Inside Community Centre with many other facilities.
