"This is a subtler Barragan house when it comes to color schemes, but otherwise his personal touches are everywhere, like the glass balls of various sized, the preserved volcanic rocks in the backyard, high ceilings and a variety of materials used in the interior of the house"
"A distinct and iconic house designed by Luis Barragan"
"The house is beautiful, but the tour is really poor, and the price is borderline outrageous"

This is a subtler Barragan house when it comes to color schemes, but otherwise his personal touches are everywhere, like the glass balls of various sized, the preserved volcanic rocks in the backyard, high ceilings and a variety of materials used in the interior of the house... The guide gives you some basic information but otherwise leaves you to explore on your own, unless you have questions then he will provide many details since he knows a ton. Since the family still lives in the house, it is quite touching to see how the house is still being used as Barragan intended. Not very many historic houses can say so.

A distinct and iconic house designed by Luis Barragan. I arranged the tour about a week in advance via email, and I’m so glad I did as it was very worthwhile and interesting. Thank you to the owners who let us visit. It was cool to see how the residents are using and living in this masterpiece.

The house is beautiful, but the tour is really poor, and the price is borderline outrageous. Our guide was bored and not particularly engaged. He spent a fair amount of time during the tour on his phone. For 800 pesos (close to $50 US dollars at time of writing) I would have really appreciated a more in-depth explanation, and considerably more context. This is really for Barragán completists.
This is an amazing Barragán house, nestled in the Jardines de Pedregal residential area that Luis Barragán himself designed. Our guide was very knowledgeable, took the time to answer questions in detail, and let people stray a bit to take photos.
I’m so grateful that the current owner restored the house and made it open to public. The residence is absolutely magical.

Beautiful house with impeccable spatial design. Barragán is an architect genius! You can only view this house with a private tour.
