Shopping mall
"Castle Plaza is great for having both a Coles and Foodland, as well as various fresh food stalls like Springfield Butchers, Baker's Delight and other smallgoods and fruit and vegetables sellers"
"They bulldozed the old Castle Pub just to build this sterile and ordinary mall in the early 80s"
"Small, modern shopping plaza with the necessities - Target, Lowes, Drakes, banks, etc"
"Need to remove some plants, signs, seats etc from the middle of the narrower corridors! I visited on a rainy day so it may have been busier than usual, but was quite difficult to navigate! Difficult for 2 people to walk side by side in most corridors/walkways and impossible to let another person comfortably pass as well, yet lots of 'stuff' that could be removed"
"Castle Plaza has everything you need to be a great all rounder shopping center"
Castle Plaza is great for having both a Coles and Foodland, as well as various fresh food stalls like Springfield Butchers, Baker's Delight and other smallgoods and fruit and vegetables sellers. Also has an EB Games and a couple of good cafes, but I personally don't go to any of the clothing retailers as they're mostly cheap and forgettable. Definitely use the shop directory if you can't find a place you want, it helps to save time not arriving to find there's not the place you're wanting. Check out the surrounding shopping places too, lots of fast food options available to you. Recommended if you can't get to the city instead.
They bulldozed the old Castle Pub just to build this sterile and ordinary mall in the early 80s. Where's Woolworth's, Kmart and Big Dub? If you're going to totally destroy an icon of Edwardstown, why not go ALL the way and build a proper mall. Unlike all the tourists who've commented here, I remember when it was just Target, Target supermarket (then Arrow) the Red Apple restaurant and the chicken joint where Hungry Chucks is now. Castle Plaza is a most underwhelming complex.
Small, modern shopping plaza with the necessities - Target, Lowes, Drakes, banks, etc. The open air car park was upgraded not too long ago with solar roofs (thumbs up to management / owners for going green) which provide much needed shade on sunny days. However, do be careful parking as the car park lots are the smallest I’ve experienced. Not all drivers are careful when parking or leaving, or when opening their car doors. There is an extremely high risk of getting dinged.
Need to remove some plants, signs, seats etc from the middle of the narrower corridors! I visited on a rainy day so it may have been busier than usual, but was quite difficult to navigate! Difficult for 2 people to walk side by side in most corridors/walkways and impossible to let another person comfortably pass as well, yet lots of 'stuff' that could be removed. Otherwise, very nice range of shops, great undercover parking, and a nice little-kid indoor playground.
Castle Plaza has everything you need to be a great all rounder shopping center. They have a great selection of shops for everyone to go, with a range of eateries to check out and try. This place is nice to go to for your shopping as it's rarely ever packed with shoppers with ample supply of parking. Parking Note: If you drive an all electric vehicle, there is two charging station parks out at the back end of the center for you to park in. Great stuff!
Take your thumb out an open your back gate for the delivery drivers to unload in your trucking lane early on Sunday morning forcing the delivery drivers to cart all the fresh food so far in the hot sun will make all the bread and fresh food go off if you prevent the delivery drivers from making other deliveries on time you can be changed or they can refuse to make deliveries to Castle Plaza on Sunday just because the management is too lazy
Sitting in the "updated" centre its hard to see the improvements. The new tiles are more unattractive than the old ones, the cane chairs are really horrible, as one has to sit way way back on seat to even reach the backrest!! Oh how a REAL update would do wonders for this out of date, dilapidated centre. Reminds me of ingle farm shopping centre which is far more interesting than this place! Although visitors are much the same !!
Castle Plaza is very accessible when we were still living at Edwardstown so we do our food shopping there before. It is not big but it is clean and you can get all you need from food to medicine. Shoes bags and clothings and a lot more. There are also banks there. A dry clean shop and a massage shop. I love going to Castle Plaza. Even if we have moved to another suburb. I still find time to go there from time to time.
Medium sized shopping mall that has a target and supermarket along with a great lunch area with a sandwich bar that makes the best food. always has plenty of parking also at the rear. Not a enormous range of socks but you will generally find what you are after. It is arranged in one long so if you have physical disabilities with motion it can be a long walk from one and back again. not heaps of disabled parks
Has everything to do a good weekly shopping trip, nice delicatessen, bakery, super markets, butchers, fruit and vegetables etc. There is a big bottle shop drive through on the south side. Also has news agents, health food store, cafe's, jewellers, clothes stores, Target and many other speciality stores. Easy to park in the front off south road or in the back.
Definitely our go to as a local mall. Love Sidewalk Cafe with the friendly staff. Good selection of stores for food, clothing, shoes and gifts. Good butcher and veggie shop. Buy a new phone, check out EB games and pick up your prescription. Banks, post office, get your hair cut, nails, massage. Finish up with new glasses and a hearing test! Love it ❤
Shopping centre with Target one end and a Tavern on the other, parking out front where Caltex and Hungry Jacks is, or out the back. It has Coles and Foodland supermarket's and a decent amount of specialty stores, like Betts shoes and Bakers Delight, Cafés, greengrocer, butcher, Westpac and ANZ banks, Telstra, Optus and Vodaphone stores, EB Games and more
I attended Revive Massage in Castle Plaza and after complaining that they kept swapping masseur the owner finished my massage. But took advantage and took his frustration out on me. A week later I'm still bruised. He got another staff member to take payment who asked if I was ok. Been going for years, but this behaviour is unforgivable.
Unfortunately my experience at HOUSE - kitchen appliances store was less than ideal. The shop assistant racially profiled me and volunteered that the item I was interested in buying was “ very expensive ” .!!!! ??? And subsequently offered cheaper options. Unsolicited , inappropriate and unacceptable .!!!!
Castle Plaza has undergone a significant refurbishiment over the last few years with a face lift front and back and undercover parking. Gone are the smokers, banished to dedicated (under cover) spots away from the entrances. Inside has modernised with better lighting and newer range of shops Well Done
The cigarette smoking mall of the south. I am always getting covered by second hand smoke at the main entrance to the mall. The main culprits are the men from the Barber boys mens hair dressers. Centre management don’t seem to care, I have reported it many times. It’s easy, I take my money elsewhere.
I often go here when I need a few different things. I can get in and out pretty quickly too and there is always parking close by. Love the free soft play gym for my kids. Often we'll make time to do some shopping and then give the kids some playtime, especially when it is baking outside.
Disappointing in the dining room. Finger marks & sauce splashes up the wall.... just needs a good clean. Our 2 meals were average BUT the wait staff were very good. Watched the cook wipe his face on a green T towel, not a good look when he then used same to carry plates to counter....
We recently found this place. It's pretty good considering the availability of parking places and shops. Target, Foodland and many other shops makes it easier to do your shopping. All other retailers like JbHiFi and SuperAmart are pretty close too (5 min drive or 10 min walk).
I have always loved shopping here although this is not in my neighbourhood. Everything you need under one roof and very friendly people. Meagan at price attack is my favourite hairdresser. Make sure you call in and have your hair done. You won't be sorry.
Great shopping centre. Fantastic variety of shops. Good butcher, baker. Fruit and veg. Several coffee shops. Big target. Coles and Foodland supermarkets. Several clothing shops plus service shops banks . Everything you need... Lots of parking. Excellent
I like the sushi train here. We eat at sushi train and get yoghurt sidearm from food land :-) whenever we need to buy something from target in the evening. Yum yum. Our son likes kid play ground in the mall, very tiny but it somehow attracts many kids!
Parked at Castle Plaza on the 28.10.2023 had a 2.30 Hair appointment. Drove my old 1970 Chev. Vehicle doesn't fit in one space. Large doors did actually want to get out. Received a ticket from Marion council for the amount of $59.00 for
Been shopping here since I was a youngster. Great vibes when the place is abuzz on a Saturday morning and yet melancholic and depressing when wandering the back parts late on a Thursday night.. Castle Plaza why you play with my feelings.
I come here from Glandore to food shop at Foodland rather than go to Kuralta Park for Coles. There is a pretty decent selection of stores as well as the two super markets here The carpark is much bigger that Kurralta Park and easier to
They have the friendliness staff in all of Adelaide plus anything and everything you need from the shop, my most visited and favorite place to shop in the world, they have everything and great service with the greatest smiles always.
An older shopping mall with hand dryers in the public toilets that don't always work... have a purse pack of tissues handy but you'll need to go find a bin to put the wet tissues in. There's none in the bathrooms for general waste.
A full on shopping complex. Telstra shop, a couple of supermarkets, and lots of specialty shops. Gets very busy & parking can be a problem. The small green grocer at the back of the carpark on the south western side is good.
Definitely catered towards older people. Not really any 'young, modern' clothes shops - mainly stores such as Sussan, Rockmans, Millers, Black Pepper, Noni B, etc. Only reason I ever go there is to got to Soonta for lunch!
Great smoothies but closes early all the time without any notice so beware if you come at the end of the day, like the ideal time after you've been working and it's the time to go and get food, they're probably shut.
Fairly typical suburban shopping mall. They've just done up the outside but inside is oretty standard fare. Two supermarkets, Target, a couple of banks, post office, pub and the usual smattering of small stores.
Easy parking most of the time, try not to park your car under a tree the birds might leave something for you. Inside the shopping centre food is very good and shopping in general is awesome where every you go.
Castle plaza is always good its not as big or as busy as a lot of the bigger shopping centers but still has a big car park and the spaces are reasonably generous in size we go there a lot its easy to use
I go here all the time to get my eyebrows threaded and eat out, shop ect. It's not as busy as say Westfield or the bigger centres but has a few good shops so I find it great, plus parking is easy..
Many good shops easy to get to them a great place to shop , and to meet friends for coffee or a meal there's the Castle Tavern very friendly people.A quick and easy place to shop at.Castle Plaza.
Staff in Castle Plaza store really helpful. I spent one hour waiting on the phone to be given the wrong answer. Clarified in store in 2 mins, Nick, Andrew and vik helped instantly
Went for coffee and cake today "Easter Saturday" and notice a sign up saying there will be a 10% surcharge for public holiday's. Easter Saturday IS NOT a gazetted public holiday.
Castle Plaza is good for a quick shop when you might need a few different things but don't want the bother of a big westfield type shopping centre. Park around the back …
Much nicer than you think it is going to be. They even have a little tv corner with comfy seats and a couch for any bored patrons obligated to remain in the general vicinity.
Hasn't changed since the 1980s when it was built. Most of the same shops too. Handy for the locals but it's not a proper shopping centre so much as a strip mall with a roof.
Castle is only a fairly small shopping complex compared with other malls these days, but it has most of my favourite shops, and I like the fact that it's easy to walk around
A great shopping centre with many shops from supermarket to sushi trains. The whole of Castle Plaza is a surprise to walk through, even with a little play ground for kids.
The Plaza is looking great, with new flooring and very attractive eating benches. Shopping is good, with a variety of stores, including a post office, CBA and ANZ banks.
Great little shopping centre with 2 supermarkets, a department store (Target) + loads of specialty shops, food merchants and cafes. There is also a pub in the Centre
Is starting to improve and take off. Great variety of shops for clothing, food, electronics and cheap shop. Great place if you want to avoid bigger malls or centres.
Castle Plaza is the perfect size shopping centre, big enough to do all your weekly shopping and have a good car park. Better than shopping centres that are too big.
Like it cause it a practical centre. Not for boutique clothing shoppers but more for everyday business. It has at least three banks with NAB just across the road.
Who approved of the new kids ‘play’ area? It’s the worst updated play area I’ve seen. A basic tunnel and touch screen? A slide would had been a better option.
Easy to navigate, fairly standard shopping centre. Plenty of food options, some clothing stores. Not bad for a local shopping centre but nothing too exciting.
Good amount & variety of different stores for a local shopping centre. Also has recently been done up bit & there is quite few popular take away places there
This shopping centre is improving with service and variety of stores. We used to only ho there for Target but now find more reasons to shop at Castle Plaza.
Smaller mall, good size for the area. Large target, foodland and Coles. . Shops, banks, bus stop outside, misses a few things, but OK for something to do.
I frequently Shop at Castle Plaza.Good range of shops- food, clothing, Banks, Excellent Chemist, plus Target Foodland, Coles and more. Plenty of parking
Compact shopping centre but good variety of stores including places to eat or to buy groceries, fruit and vegs. Free carparking. Very accessible.
Good local place to get things and stuff. Very useful but the name is misleading. It is not a castle. It would be cooler if it was a castle.
The renos of the tavern look they went well! i love the layout and the store variety! i enjoy coming here to get my hair cut at Barber Boys!
Grocery shopping - everything i need is there. They're friendly at Baker's Delight. Charged my Vodafone. And gift shopping for birthdays.
Target and Coles are the ones to look for shopping goods and groceries. Adequate parking, spacious. Hungry Jacks offer u great burgers !!
I enjoy shopping at Castle Plaza I never have any trouble finding what I want. Sales staff are very friendly and parking is easy.
Removed kids play area for a tunnel leading to a massive touch screen. Like kids dont get enough of screens already Pathetic.
A one stop for all your shopping needs from grocery, clothing, footwear, pharmacy, beauty, post office.. the list goes on!
Great shopping experience, good facilities, plenty of free parking, good variety of specialty shops. Highly recommended.
It’s old but modern love the new skylight with the plants coming down oh it’s a nice place to shop with the new tiles
A large commercial center in Edwardstown, south of Adelaide. Shopping, dining, leisure, etc. Lots of parking spaces.
Nice selection of shops, and friendly staff. Parking spaces on the smaller side. Uneaven roads, newer cars beware.
Nice little stores etc. but height for pretty much the whole car park is now 2.4m - not ideal for 4x4 …
Good little shops easy to walk around not too big.You can even find the store you want without getting lost.
Parking was easy, straight into the store, looked for particular product, none on shelves so left
My second favourite shopping mall. Coles, Target, Asian market, sushi shop, and so on..
Decent place to shop. Pathetic replacement of the kids play area. Very disappointing.
Plenty of car parks sheltered , Target and a few places to select for variety of food
Good Centre well mannered and know there product Wish I didn't have to relocate..
Love shopping there and getting eats and drinks to make a nice day's of it.
A Great Place to Shop, Fresh Fruit and Vegetable shop, have Great produce.
Easy parking. 4 entrance areas. Clean. Easy to move around.
Decent selection of shops considering it's smaller size
It's OK. Much like any standard shopping centre.
Come after 4:30 some food stalls give discount.
Nice quiet shopping centre. Easy parking.
