If you are looking for a vet that cares for your cat this is the place! Dr. Whitlow is amazing. Originally when I adopted my two kitties in March of 2023, they were being seen at the humane society. (If you care for your cat please DO NOT take them to the humane society. Your precious kitty will not be treated with love and care the way the cat doctors do). After being treated poorly by the humane society vet staff, I decided to take my time and research vet clinics. That is when I stumbled upon the cat doctors. What first made me pick this office was that they specifically specialize in cats which made me feel at ease that I could bring my cats to a comfortable kitty friendly location. With every visit I have had at the cat doctors, I was always treated with kindness. Not only was I treated with kindness, but my two cats as well. Dr. Whitlow is hands down the BEST veterinarian in the whole world. He should win an award. Even with my countless questions, Dr. Whitlow always answered them graciously and would even repeat any of his answers if I needed a better understanding. While we were trying to find the root of the problem regarding one of my cats being sick, Dr. Whitlow always showed sincerity and concern in wanting to figure out what was going on. Shortly after, Dr. Whitlow was able to diagnose my kitty with FIV and asthma. Even with my cat being FIV+, he was always treated with love and care regardless of his diagnosis. I could say so much more on how amazing this vet clinic is including all the staff but I truly hope that if anyone is in need of a cat vet this is the place you bring your kitty to. I have recommended this office to all my friends who own cats because they are that amazing. This is truly the best clinic for cats!

I would highly recommend The Cat Doctors and especially Dr. Farrow to anyone in the Tampa area looking for compassionate and thorough cat care. I started bringing my cats here after moving to Tampa in summer of 2020. For most of my time there, my cats were under the care of Dr. Farrow. My older kitty - Bailey - who had been healthy (but chubby) her whole life developed a series of complex (and competing) health conditions starting in late 2021/early 2022. Dr. Farrow and team went above and beyond to support Bailey throughout this time. The office was accommodating to her needs and trire to ensure she wasn't overly stressed during our many repeat visits (by allowing me to stay with her for procedures if possible, combining as much of her care into a single visit, and overall being very patient with her). Dr. Farrow was always willing to answer my (many and often complex) questions about the challenges we encountered in managing Bailey's health. Even after we moved out of Florida, Dr. Farrow was wonderful - she provided us support from afar as we worked with our new local vet team. Bailey passed away in February of this year and we're still coping with losing her. After learning of her passing, Dr. Farrow and the staff at the cat doctors sent flowers (which was truly unexpected and so thoughtful) and the whole staff sent their condolences. I don't think we could have found better care for Bailey than we did at the Cat Doctors. While I know all vets love animals, I really felt Dr. Farrow loved Bailey nearly as much as we did (and still do) and were invested in her wellbeing until the end.

Where to even begin! I absolutely love everyone at The Cat Doctors, and if you have a cat this is the place to bring them. I have an almost 7 year old cat Jasper who has hyperesthesia, as well as some anxiety issues, and before we found The Cat Doctors no one would take him or me seriously. Last year we finally came in and saw Dr. Farrow, and I knew instantly this would be our permanent vet moving forward. Dr. Farrow takes her time and listens to my concerns, and is always suggesting new ideas for things we can do to help Jasper live his healthiest and happiest life, and I have no doubt the other doctors here are the same way. From the front desk staff to the technicians to the doctors, everyone is so kind and you can tell how much they care! Last week Jasper decided to eat some ribbon off of a cat toy, and when I called they took quick action and had me drop him off so Dr. Simon could see him. I was so sad about having to leave him there, but Holly our technician was so compassionate and assured me he was in good hands, and texted me updates which meant the world to me. I also had an opportunity to speak to Dr. Simon and she was just as amazing, and took the time to thoroughly explain everything to me from what they tried, tests they did, results, what they meant, and what options were for next steps, including what she would do if it were her own cat. (Jasper is doing great by the way!) Thank you so much to each and every person at The Cat Doctors for caring about my Jasper. I love that I have found somewhere that loves cats as much as I do :)

I cannot sing the praises of this business enough! My last week was filled with so many restless nights and tears and they gave us comfort and hope again. We had a regular vet for our fur baby but moved and had to take her to a cat/dog vet about a week ago. We planned a routine visit for bloodwork to check up on her thyroid. Unfortunately, that visit ended in disaster. Our Purrl girl came back with a head tilt and extreme vertigo and was unable to walk or eat for almost the whole week. We were told to take her to the Emergency Vet but thankfully a divine intervention led us to Cat Doctors. They were kind, thorough, and so patient. They all had such calming voices, amazing personalities, and treated Purrl with respect and love. I want to say a special thank you to these ladies -> Amanda, Gina, Courtney, & Dr. Sullivan. I rarely write reviews, but when I do it is because I was graced with a special group of people. I can’t say enough good things about the Cat Doctors. My cat is approaching 15 years old and all his life we’ve been trying to find him great care. We recently moved to Tampa from New York and between all the practices we’ve been to in both states, Cat Doctors has provided the best care by far for our cat. Everywhere else it can feel as if cats are an afterthought to dogs but this practice is specifically designed with cats in mind and the doctors here specialize in feline care. We see Dr. Connolly and in our first visit with her, she was able to provide more insight and a more accurate diagnosis of our cat’s health concerns than other vets had been able to provide after countless emergency visits. Our baby boy had been struggling with weight loss and vomiting for close to two years before Dr. Connolly diagnosed him with IBD. He’s doing so much better now and we couldn’t be more relieved. Everyone at the Cat Doctors goes above and beyond to make sure your fur baby is well taken care of ❤️

The Cat Doctors provide excellent care to the feline fur babies. They have been established in S Tampa for as long as I can remember and their empathy and compassion are equally matched with their experience and expert veterinary medical care. On my visit I was lucky enough to have Holly as my technician and Dr Simon for my vet. From the beginning of my curbside service intake to the diagnostics ran on my kitty, Frankie, every step of the process was seamless and professional. Patience was sweet to send me pictures of Frankie while he was back there with them and it made me happy to see him doing well. They really go the extra mile for their patients and their clients and it shows in their excellent reviews. The checkout process was easy, efficient and all done from the comfort of my car, and I left with a game plan that was easy for me to follow through with at home. If you’re in need of excellent feline care, I would highly recommend the staff and doctors at The Cat Doctors.

I could not be more grateful that I found this amazing place to take my cat Josie. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was calm, homey and clearly suited to cats. All of the staff we interacted with were so friendly and accommodating. Despite being a cuddly angel at home, my cat gets really stressed and aggressive at the vet, and I loved that this office operates with a “fear free” mentality and asked me the best way to go about handling her versus grabbing her and forcing it. Dr. Farrow was absolutely incredible - so kind, patient, transparent and made me feel totally comfortable with having her sedated to do her exam to ensure safety and comfort. I also loved that they gave me an estimate without me even having to ask before doing anything - that is true honesty and integrity at a practice that is hard to find. All in all I LOVED this vet and everything they are doing! It’s a 30 minute drive from me and I will still only be taking my cat here going forward!

Oh, where to begin? Our fine, fine, seasoned gentleman had his first trip to their office in quite some time. I was pinned by a migraine and could not go but they got the far superior option, my wife. Barf ("Spaceballs" reference, I call him Mr. Mew) is an indoor/outdoor, seventeen year old, seven and a half pound wonder. He's a people guy. These pictures were taken in the exam area where he once again had the time to familiarize himself with each inch on His terms. Angela said that that was very important, especially in such a warm, spacious, and genteel of an environment so invitingly geared towards the Patient. Angela said that literally each staff member, from the front desk to the Doctor, were still as exceptional and sincere as they were when she started ten years and four cats ago. I can not understate how important hearing those things are to someone who was not there. I truly mean when I say, I am excited or relieved for you to join their family.

First time there my cat had a blocked bladder & they had to run a catheter... they discussed a $250 bill and I said that's fine & left the cat with them. After they performed the work they called me to tell me the bill was $2500, yes $2500, 10 times what was discussed. I did complain & they dropped a couple hundred(even though they almost bought a cat). They may do good work hence the 2 star but when it comes down to costs they are going to cost you much more than any other vets. I've been dealing with them for a while now & even getting a prescription filled that cost $3 from petco they were charging me $30. Now that I'm getting from petco they give me a hard time to fill them. Won't let me get more that months prescription. So the shipping is twice the cost of the prescription but they now won't let me order multiples to save shipping money. At the end of the day save your money and find a vet that isn't trying to take advantage of their clients.

We have only been in the Tampa area for about six months, and since our last vet was a cats-only practice, we decided to take our geriatric kitty to the Cat Doctors. Yes, it is pricey, but absolutely worth it. Everyone there is so nice, the staff is so friendly, and the doctors are great. They were very helpful addressing the health issues that come with a geriatric kitty and helped us get his necessary medications. Yesterday we brought our baby in for some concerns, and it turned out that he had several serious health issues, which meant we would have to put him to sleep. The staff was so patient with us, helped us make cremation decisions, checked in on us, and let us stay for several hours while we cried and prepared to let him go. Dr. Vaughn even cried when the time came to say goodbye, despite the fact that she didn't know us very well. When we are ready to adopt again, I will not hesitate to bring any of my kitties back to this clinic.

I could not say enough good things about the cat doctors! The most amazing staff and vets, all around. I’ve never had a vet experience where every single person in the practice is so caring and compassionate. I had brought my special needs kitty Squish here for all sorts of problems and the whole staff was so helpful and always answered my questions and got back to me as quick as possible. The vet staff took literal hours out of their time talking to me about her condition and she was a SPICY girl, and they always were so good with her! From her first visit, to her last when she was unfortunately put down, I received nothing but amazing care and compassion from the whole team. They even sent the most beautiful card to me after she passed. I will continue to take my cats there and every single cat owner should take their cats here! Nobody does cat veterinary care like the cat doctors!!

My tabby cat is a new patient at the cat doctors. She had a physical and just underwent her first dental cleaning yesterday. During the physical, the doctor was very thorough, knowledgeable and happy to answer every question. They also offered her toys and had a feline away plug-in in the room to calm patients down, which I thought was awesome. Now on to the dental cleaning which I was very nervous about since she had to be put under anesthesia. I honestly wanted to cry when dropping her off because she’s my baby, but she truly needed the cleaning. Everything went very well and her teeth are pearly white. They treated her so well, and even washed a towel for me which I placed in her kennel and she peed on from being scared. They also followed up the next day to make sure she was doing well. I would definitely recommend the cat doctors, they are pricey but you get what you pay for.

I knew this was going to be a great experience from the moment I called the girls that answer the phone actually answered and was able to keep me on the phone and make an appointment. I even had to rearrange the schedule, and I felt like I was not a problem or inconveniencing them. The customer service was excellent then to download the app is the most easiest app very easy to navigate . The day of our appointment we were brought right into the room. They have received the records and uploaded them from my previous vet in another state, very impressed with that. The doctor came right in conducted a through examination, all vet vet techs were friendly , compassionate, and found something that had been an oversight at a previous vet s , absolutely love the cat Hospital the service, the compassion, the professionalism, the caring is worth it for me to drive from St. Petersburg

The Cat Doctors make our vet visits so easy. We love our furry roommates, but they are high maintenance. The staff at The Cat Doctors take our stress away, deal with our cats’ stress easily, and provide our cats with excellent routine & specialized medical care. The Cat Doctors are equally as wonderful over the phone. If we call with questions, we are given great solutions to problems & it’s obvious the staff are familiar with our cats and they’ve read their files or notes/records. Many times our issues are solved w/o the need for an office visit. My only criticism would be that appointments are difficult to get (unless it is an emergency) so you need to schedule well in advance, but I believe it is because The Cat Doctors’ reputation for excellent care has gotten out. I can’t imagine taking our cats anywhere else & wish I could give more than five stars.

Living alone can be lonely! Many people who live alone have pets, which makes so much difference in their lives. My pets are elderly cats, whom I've had for over 15 years. Like you, if you share your love with your pets, I want the best, most loving care for my pets that I can find. After moving last year from Orlando, I knew that The Cat Doctors sounded like a good choice. One of my cats suddenly quit eating, and I found out that he had severe tooth problems. Dr. Norden did an amazing job on Albert's teeth, and he is so much healthier now, and I am very appreciative. The Cat Doctors' staff is also right there with amazing assistance and caring help for all of us who love our pets and want them to be with us for a long time! Please check them out if you are new in the area, or just unsure of where to take your pet.

I cannot say enough kind things about every single person that works here. I recommend this facility for anyone with a feline companion. From start to finish. They are professional yet so personable and have a genuine care and compassion which is so hard to find these days. I would like to give special thanks to Dr. Simon She is truly a gift. Technicians Jess, Alayna and Holly. Cat in reception helped me so much she made me feel not so alone amongst going through one of the most difficult times as a pet owner. Those of us who own felines know they are special and particular which is why Cat Doctors is such a blessing to both pet and owner. I have so much love for this facility and all the staff. If I could rate The Cat Doctors (TCD) with more than 5 stars I would do so willingly. The entire staff is very knowledgeable, patient, welcoming, and so very kind! We take 2 of our 15 cats to TCD as they have special health issues and needs in which no other vet has been able to resolve. The health of our babies is of the utmost priority for me and my husband. I have been there laughing and I have been there crying. Immediately after entering TCD I am put at ease and my worries melt away. Thank you to the ENTIRE staff at TCD for making me and our babies feel like the only ones in a sea of other customers and their babies who are being treated at the same time on the same day, and for easing my mind, heart, and soul, knowing my babies are in the most knowledgeable and loving hands!

Amazing experience..the focus is on cats and their owners. The vets and staff here are above and beyond. I was impressed how quickly they could accommodate my cat , Hey Jude, when he suddenly became ill with an ear infection. I was beyond impressed with the follow-up phone call by the doctor shortly after returning home, to explain what steps she took to treat my cat and answered all my questions. My cat seemed very happy and relaxed when I picked him up. He seemed to enjoy the cat friendly ,dog-free office. He felt at home and so did I. Thank you Cat Doctors for taking such wonderful care of my cat..I am looking forward to the follow up in a couple of weeks. I will be recommending The Cat Doctors to everyone lookong for excellent care in a clean and comfortable setting.

We love the Cat Doctors! They have been A+ since day one. My older cats have complicated health issues and Dr. Simon and the wonderful vet techs do an amazing job helping us understand what the issues are and how to manage them. Our old vet at a different practice told us that one of our cats was severely ill and had only a few months to live. We then took her to the Cat Doctors, and Dr. Simon and her team were able to treat our cat for her issues, get them under control, and she's still her happy, lovable self nearly four years later! I sincerely believe that the Cat Doctors team love our cats as much as we do and treat them as though they were their own. Their genuine care and concern is obvious in every interaction. I truly can't say enough positive things about them!

They took great care of my girls! One of my kittens is normally very nervous when she goes to the vet, however, she did so much better than she normally does when we went to the Cat Doctors. All of the staff was so sweet with her and treated her like a princess! We saw Dr. Norden and she did so well explaining everything in detail and helped us figure out potential solutions to help my cat's skin problem. They also gave her and her sister some toys to take home! The staff was also extremely understanding and helpful with my bill for all her tests, and I was very appreciative of that since I am a full-time University student. I highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed! We will be back!!

We started using the Cat Doctors in 2020. They accommodate both drop off and in person appointments. They are thorough, compassionate, take the time to make sure we understand what is going on with our babies, and treat our cats with love. If there is a problem, they will get you in quickly. They significantly improved the quality of life of our 18 year old girl over her last few years and smoothed her end time for both her and us. They were great with our two new family members as well. They are more expensive than our old vet, but to me, it is well worth it for the quality of care that they give our pets. Dr. Christine Simon is simply the best in our book.

Office cat, Socks, had a gash on her foot that needed immediate attention. After calling area vets, Cat Doctors were the only ones that said bring her over, everyone else was too busy! Office is in a residential neighborhood and has very inviting, cosy offices. Doctor Savarese was absolutely wonderful with Socks and she loved the doc! Major points there! Socks got stitches and even a free ear clean. Jessica was wonderful in going over the bill and medication that was to be given. Ladies at the front were very friendly. All in all, excellent, excellent experience and if you have a kitty that needs a doctor, this is certainly the place to take them to!

So impressed with this facility. I saw Dr. Whitlow but I had assistance from both Kade and Savanna who were so kind to me and my kitty (even though he wasn’t being very nice from having to go to the vet lol). We immediately got put in our room and Savanna did her best to try to get my cat to feel comfortable which I appreciated so much. The examination was so thorough and informative, and they even go over estimates before they proceed with any treatment. I got an email of the health report card from the visit and it is by far the most thorough report I’ve gotten from a vet ever. Thank you all for a great experience and awesome care for my kitty!

What is this sorcery?!?! How could we have been in a veterinarian clinic with my cat? She must have been hypnotized in the parking lot; she was so calm! She never cried or trembled. She was happy and curious just looking around while waiting patiently in her carrier. My sassy senior even came out of the carrier on her own to say hello to the doctor! With an appointment our wait-time was only a few minutes. Every one was kind and compassionate with my sweet Bella Boo, and super sweet with us humans. The exam was thorough, not rushed, and their Petly Plan is awesome. Hooray! We have found our new vet! ❤️

I brought my kitty in for a yearly visit. The staff at the office was very nice, helpful and accommodating. They allowed us to sit in a room, even though I arrived early to our appointment. The room environment was extremely relaxing and quiet. My kitty was very happy, where she is usually very agitated and scared at other vet's offices. I love that this was a cat only establishment too. Dr. Whitlow did an excellent job and was very knowledgeable and pleasant. I felt like my kitty's health was in good hands. Going on 2 yrs that we moved from the Bronx. My Yella has been suffering with “Allergies “, I have taken her to 3 vets, and has been treated with steroids which have helped but I needed a Solution not a quick Fix. Harmony Vet referred me to Cat Doctors . Dr. Whitlow was very informative, took his time to listen to my concerns, and placed Yella on a Medication which hopefully will aid her allergies. The office was very clean, staff was very nice, Alayna was very great with Yella. Hopefully we do Not have to visit to often!!!and the medication works

Cat Doctors are the best vet I have ever brought a cat to. I’m always nervous due to some not so great experiences with other vets in my past. It seems so simple to expect a vets office listen to your concerns and have compassion towards your pet, the Cat Doctors excel at exactly that! They’re upfront and honest, while making sure that you understand and are comfortable with your choices and decisions. I love that they also recognize how cost may impact care, and offer the options that they can to help with that. I trust this office and am so grateful to have them for my babies!

I've never been in such a space where it's clear that everyone in there cares about my pets almost as much as I do! Every person there is very knowledgeable and professional. I feel at ease. All my questions are always answered, and I never feel judged or dismissed. Dr. Farrow saved my cat's life by completing surgery on her when she was almost 20 years old! Dr. Connolly watched over Mama post surgery, making care decisions that saved her from deadly surgery complications. Mama is cruising to 21 because of the dedication of the staff and vet's at this wonderful place.

The vets office is very clean, the staff is nice. What I dislike about this office is that 1) they’re expensive. 2) both times I have brought my cat there they have tried to up charge me, which I find unethical in a doctors office. It’s the vet tech who saved the day for me, and dropped my bill down from $1300 to $200. I didn’t need all the procedures the vet tried to sell me, and I would have much preferred an honest and direct answer rather than speculation and an attempt to just take my money and put my cat through unnecessary trauma.

Cannot thank the staff enough for how they helped me through the difficult time of my cat's passing. The Dr. Simon was honest, patient, and kind. Her understanding and advice helped me make the best decision for my baby. And to the vet tech who helped us, Holly, I cannot thank you enough for the love you showed my cat and for being there for him when I couldn't. Even during the hardest moment for a pet and pet owner, this facility provided me with the best possible experience and I will never forget that.

This place is great if you can afford $700 $1000 everytime you visit. My cat has failing kidneys -stage 3 and a thyroid issue. They demanded to see her every couple months to refill her special medication that is transdermal. Unfortunately the economy is not great right now for me, and so they rather let your cat die than refill her life saving medication because they need to see her and run a million tests to come to the same conclusion. They don’t care about you and even less about your cat.

I’ve been taking my cats to the Cat Doctors since early 2022. In every interaction they have been kind, compassionate and are extremely knowledgeable. The vet techs, front desk, doctors, everyone is great! Have been bringing in my (not so) little guy more these past couple of months due to some stress and weight issues and Dr. Whitlow got him on the right track and he’s already making improvements. I promise that bringing your cats here will be worth every penny.

I have been seeing The Cat Doctors for over 15 years with my sweet cats and have always felt they have the best service and recommendations. They have always worked with me when I needed something big or small. I even moved away from South Tampa and the vet I went to with a new kitten misdiagnosed a costly eye infection and despite being further away, I decided TCD was the best for my kitties, so I continue to go back. There isn't a vet I would recommend more.

I am consistently amazed and delighted with the level of service and care at Cat Doctors. Every single employee from the support staff to the techs to the vets, are all cat lovers. They are empathetic and supportive - and very knowledgeable. The many instances that they have gone above and beyond to help me are innumerable. Highly, highly recommend this vet for someone who really cares about their cat and wants to provide the best possible vet care.

The Cat Doctors have changed the way I am able to care for my cats. They taught me so much about being a cat parent, and they have always been patient and kind with my questions. They have always explained all fees, needed tests, and preventative care we can engage in. I can't thank them enough. I have very nervous cats, and the vet and techs so patient and understanding with them. Every appointment is so much easier than I expect.

The Cat Doctor was exactly the place I'd been looking for these last few months. Not only did everyone I interact with make me feel heard, respected and appreciated, but they doted on my cat, Ivan, in ways that had him (and me) beaming! I'm very thankful to have found a veterinarian that respects my wishes as a cat parent and offers the knowledge and insight required to keep his health and happiness top priority. Thank you!

They give out “report cards” with all the info from the exam, like weight, blood pressure and heart rate. My doctor doesn’t even do that This office practices stress free visits, which is so beneficial. My cats are not afraid to come here, suspicious sure, but once they see the doctors they love getting treats and butt pats from them. They also know they get to come back with a new cat nip toy. Love the Cat Doctors!

Unless your want to be broke after every visit DO NOT come here. 1200 dollars is what they charged me for testing and shots on my cat between 2 visits. Found out the humane society will do the SAME THING for a quarter the price. This place made me feel stupid for trusting a nice and friendly face. They just want your money. Save your time and your money skip this place and go to the humane society.

Our kitty Isabella always gets THE BEST care at the Cat Doctors. She recently had a UTI and Dr. Simone diagnosed her quickly, gave her pain meds and got her back on the road to recovery. The office staff are so kind and caring and I can't recommend them highly enough. Shot out to Holly our vet tech who explained how to administer her meds and was SO patient in answering ALL of my many questions!!

One of Cat Doctors' customers found our lost cat and brought him in to them. They went through all the trouble of checking him for a microchip and tracking us down, and ended up reuniting us with Ziggy after he'd been missing for a year. Everyone at Cat Doctors was so kind and we are so grateful for their loving care and efforts to get our little man back to us. Wonderful people!

Wonderful clinic! Just moved from Georgia and wanted to find a cat only clinic for my sweet Alex. This is the place! Even though we had to drive from Tampa Palms to South Tampa it was worth every mile...Alex LOVED Dr. de Gale and the whole staff. They are all lovely people and you can tell they love cats as much as we love our babies. I highly recommend this clinic!

Dr Norden is the most caring vet I have ever encountered. She takes extra care and concern for my cat with a heart condition. She explains everything each time he goes in treatment and always remembers all his health concerns. The staff is also amazing, caring, and go the extra mile. If you are wondering if you should go there, the answer is yes.

The people who work there are awesome. They obviously love cats. They will look at pictures, listen to stories and offer suggestions when your feline is known to freak and you come in an hour after your appointment time that you canceled and was the 3rd scheduled appointment in a month. Plus? One of the people who works there is named Kat. LOL

These guys are amazing and their prices are fair! My poor kitty was having anxiety attacks everytime he got in the car and had reacted to a medicine a previous vet gave him. Took him to these guys and we got him all worked out. He's much calmer now and even gets along with his sister! Would definitely recommend : )

We've been going to the Cat Doctors for the last 5 years. They really are the best cat doctors in town. We always receive great care from the team and are thankful for all their knowledge! We recently took Sage, our Tortie, to Cat Doctors for the first time. They are the best vet practice I have ever been to. They are attentive to both Mom and cat, and listened/answered all of our questions. I never felt rushed and felt the prices were reasonable. We will definitely be back.
