Be really careful when you are planning to rent a book from the bookstores. My friend was recently forced to pay for the book, with a reason there was a stain at the corner of the page, even though she had explained the stain was already there the moment she rented it out, and she actually never used the book and kept it on the bookshelf all the time, since she gathered her study materials directly from the handouts her tutor gave her during class. There was a case where someone intentionally or accidentally put the damaged books on the bookshelf, waiting for someone gullible to rent them out, and when they are due, the staffs would find whatever excuses they could, not to receive the returned books, and eventually forcing you to pay for the damages you never did.
The Majority of staffs working there is absolutely no help. They are not at all concerned about the situation of international students or their money. We rented one textbook as per our faculty’s instruction and after One week he allowed us to use alternative sources. Even after one day of they due date they are not ready to accept the book or return the money we paid. We a bunch of six students are really disappointed with their behaviour especially the person who talk with us. They were rude and not even wanted to listen what we wanna say. We thought this as a service for the students studying in this college but realize it is nothing but a place to earn profit by exploiting the students. Really disappointed.
Its okay, i mean i didn't have very pleasant experience with some of the employees I've encountered. They need to seriously take their tracking of the book when ordering a book serious though, because i waited half of my semester for a textbook that i need in order to do work properly in the class to only find out the order was cancelled and i had to reorder. The books are pretty expensive for multiple pieces of thick paper that you have to do assignments based on the book. For textbook, just find a friend or a classmate to share the pdf textbook or buy from some student. Otherwise, like its a college with probably college staff. What'd you expect?
Books are overpriced with no sales. Don't accept returns for reasons like stains on the bottom of the book which was not caused by the purchaser but in order to save their hide, they won't take it back. Some options they have like renting is sort of reasonable but not widely available for every book. They don't keep enough stock of books but there are ebook options sometimes. 3 out of 5 stars unless they introduced some kind of sale option.
You can find all the textbooks assigned to you (for that particular semester) in here and the staff is good, too. To avoid wait times for check-outs, you can visit it either early when they open or after most people leave for home at around 4.30-5. The stationary items are also good. Printed College Tshirts and other merchandise is costly though. They also have a home delivery option for an additional fee.
Not a great experience. No one told me that it takes 48hours to process your time table before you can pick up books so I wasted my time. I was also told that you are charged $25+ extra for plus size uniforms. If this true , it's disgusting and I will be speaking to the right people to get to the bottom of it.
Terrible customer service. The person that answered the phone had no idea what they were doing and was, in fact, very rude. They tried to end the call as quickly as possible rather than listening to my questions, and interrupted me several times. The Progress Campus students deserve way better than this.
Expect it to be busy in the first few weeks of school. But they work at a good pace so the wait isn't terrible. Better to go early in the morning for a shorter line. Clean and tidy, had everything I needed except for safety boots. It's not a shoe store so, makes sense haha.
The staffs at the Bookstore are not very helpful to the students. The staffs need to be trained or re-trained about soft skills and how to handle an excellent customer care and service. All they care about is dismiss students in queue. As a
You buy $200+ textbooks then don't use them. If I knew what I knew now I wouldn't have fell for the college scam just to sell you textbooks that you'll never read. I spent 4 years here and did not use any of the textbooks.
Most items are over-priced. Staff are not welcoming and it feels like they just want to get over with your concern and doesn't care if you are helped or not. Not nice, expensive and poor customer service.
Too expensive. No response to email we send , they try to make profit out of students education make no sense. I really like our college. but not the bookstore for sure
Worst place to be called as college. Never go these college ever. These college is just a waste of time and money. Just pay to get a degree and learn nothing
Clean and tidy, somewhat busy when I have gone, but friendly enough staff. Wish they were cheaper, but every college store is overpriced.
They don't just sell books they have other things as well. Clothes (not many) paper, pens, reusable water bottles and snacks!
The prices of the clothing are very expensive and also they are off cheap quality , you can purchase either Nike or Adidas.
VERY Expensive books, it's not okey to make money on students, who cannot avoid buying books with codes and keys for tests
Super expensive books. Can't even resell them because they make it only good for one semester.
Try to find and buy used books before visiting. Here's also selling used ones but limited.
Only charging students extra for every book, its better to go on fb marketplace or Amazon
not the best place to get a second-hand book! wayyy more expensive than other sources
It might be a great bookstore but too darn hard to get to with the pandemic hurdles.
Unfriendly service, never rent a book from them again, unprofessional money grabber
Super unkindness super expensive, it just the one way to take money from students.
Every book for your course is available here...but the prices are bit expensive
All the books are available here but somewhat expensive to other stores.
It's a very good source of text books. Staffs are friendly and helpful.
Prices are on the higher end. Books can be bought online for cheaper.
