With the new management here, the place has gone from being a mediocre club to the worst club night in town. I've had some great nights in button factory but where do I even begin. The event was oversold to the point where there was literally no room to breathe let alone dance. It felt unsafe. The drinks, a small child-sized plastic cup of spirits and mixer, for €10. They weren't even measuring the drinks which looked much smaller than they should be. We had to ask for ice and lemon in a gin and tonic. A bottle of beer was €6.80. If you want to go for a boogie in town, go to izakaya, Tengu, Mother, Wigwam or literally anywhere else that creates a fun, safe atmosphere to have a dance and a good time with your friends. The bouncers created an atmosphere of fear and made a lot of people very uncomfortable - this was the general consensus when speaking to a lot of people. According to many of the guys I spoke to, they were waiting outside the cubicles and making them empty their pockets. I witnessed them being needlessly aggressive with several people. The bouncers were constantly bulling through the crowd pushing and shoving, grabbing and threatening people they didn't like the look of. .
I've been frequenting this venue for nearly 20 years as it changed hands and names. When I read horror reviews here on the current iteration I was really worried. But our night was great. I like what they did with the venue, there was plenty of room, very friendly staff, and good overall atmosphere. The queue to cloakroom was crazy long most of the night but we didn't use it so no bother for me personally. Perhaps it all depends on the crowd and the gig but on this occasion I saw no issues with people misbehaving or being treated poorly by security. Bouncers are always on a power trip but we haven't seen any drama. We loved the vibe of the bar upstairs with sofas, balcony and djs playing great tunes to start the night. 5 star experience. Not many clubs left in Dublin so we have to cherish and enjoy the ones we have and always bring good energy with us :)
Absolutely awful experience visiting this venue on Saturday 4 February 2023. I couldn’t believe it. I’m still in awe. Bought tickets online to see Major League DJz play. I flew out from London to Dublin just to see them perform. Tickets clearly stated doors open at 11pm. Arrived at 11pm. Waited 2 hours in the freezing cold and couldn’t get in. Centre Point staff didn’t have a clue what they were doing. It was absolute chaos. It got to a point that people were not queuing up anymore and were pushing their way to the front. I’m surprised that nobody got injured or died. I’ll never visit this venue again! I’ve requested for my money back. If I don’t get it back initially then I’m suing. I would love to rate them 0 stars but unfortunately that’s not possible.
Review is based on Folamour event : Pros : security while a bit rough on the edges were constantly walking around and checking on people, make sure place is safe. This could be annoying to some people but I felt this was a good thing. Cons : drinks - I paid 12.5 for 2x vodka shots and you usually expect 50 ml shot but the ones they had was a rip off, it was tiny, half the size and was about 20/25 ml the most. Drinks in general were overpriced. Cloakroom - was there but you had to pay 3 euros per each time wish cash. Those who did not have e cash we're screwed. The price and not having contactless payment is also not cool at all.
Honestly, the sound system is great, the venue is nice but the bouncers go way too far and intimate with the search. The female bouncer cupped my bum cheek. I actually screeched involuntarily. She also opened all of my make up bag one by one, my powder, lipstick, mirror etc. It was genuinely worse than airport security and felt a little violating which isn't a nice start to a night out. Please tone it down your customers aren't criminals and I'm nearly sure bouncers do not have the power to have such close contact with our bodies.

To be fair to the venue: Service is good, quick and professional. Bartenders are on the ball and the prices are as you'd expect for a venue. Great atmosphere too, there's a dance floor and also an upper level if you prefer having a bit more space. Unfortunately, the people who run and book acts have no sense of gravitas. They have no qualms with cutting off an acts swan song at precisely closing time. Waited all night for this song and they ended it directly in the middle. Be warned before attending a gig here!

Nice club (amazing DJs) with not so nice bouncers :( Going to centre point is like going to Apache pizza without money. You see delicious food being made and served but unfortunately you cannot eat it because you did not bring any money. If you go to centre point you get to see and hear amazing DJs but unfortunately you are unable to have a good time and enjoy yourself because the bouncers are overly aggressive and abusive. A request to the amazing DJs that are thinking of playing here: please have your gigs somewhere else, the crowd will thank you
Organisers don't care about people having an enjoyable experience in their club. Bouncers curse and shout at people before you even get inside. I asked did we have to queue if we had tickets as there was a long line only to be cursed at, when I said I was only asking a question, the mullet haired bouncer with the hat cursed at me. Couldn't believe it. Also heard them cursing at other people. People seemed very and uncomfortable. You pay a lot for a cramped, expensive venuw where you'll be treated horribly by security.
There cloak room was full so had to hide jacket. Came back and found it was gone, turns out the bouncer took my jacket because he thought I should pay cloak room. I spent three weeks trying to contact the club and nobody got back to me. I rang them, emailed, reached out to their social media, useless.
bouncers open up your wallet and thumb through it without even asking, the event was oversold beyond any crowd safety limits, no room to dance or move around, dreadful experience. will not be returning
Aggressive female bouncer cussed me out and threatened me most unprofessional thing I have ever seen. Other staff were nice still managed to ruin my night though.
Great venue with great DJ Daniel Avery. Amazing club at the heart of Dublin!

Not a lot of clubs left in Dublin these days but that does.not mean beggars can't be choosers, get rid of the power tripping bouncers
Bouncers were harassing people. Drinks were a rip off and had to tell the staff how to make the drink.
Bouncers intentionally try start on people who are minding their own business.
Constantly oversold, no space to dance and impossible to move around
Bad staff bad bouncers and all around bad place to enjoy yourself
Needlessly aggressive and hostile bouncers.
Staff are outrageous, wouldn't recommend
rudest securities at the city so far
Isn't this just the Button Factory?
Great spot for a DJ set
Good bouncers
