This place has great coffee and breakfast. I tried the paninis for lunch and they're tasty too. I stop by about once a week and the guys that work their are friendly and work really hard. I don't think some of their customers appreciate that since it's located in a wealthy neighborhood filled with a lot privelege.

The food is fresh and delicious, but the counter service is inconsistent. I’ve been to Champignon at least 3 times a week, if not daily since I’ve worked in the neighborhood. Some days they require a credit card minimum, some days they don’t. Inconsistency is the demise of any business - especially in hospitality.

I was stay by this cafe while my mother was at Mt Sinai for surgery. I'd get a Tiramisu Mocha, that was delicious every single time. Can't go wrong with anything on their menu from breakfast to lunch. Staff members were always friendly. I remember one girl who greeted everyone with a smile and a friendly hello.

I love this place it’s been here forever and has always been so lovely inside, nice staff, quick turnover and the food is just perfect. Fast service for excellent fresh food. The eggs were scrambled just right with a perfectly toasted bagel. The fresh squeezed orange juice was truly fresh and delicious. I highly recommend Champignons cafe for a local spot that serves excellent food.
