Coworker sexually assaulted me the detective was very rude and unprofessional. I didn’t do a recording I later requested for a supv so that I can have someone reassign to my case. The supv called me and stated she needed the number of my coworker. I provided it and left it on her voicemail. Called me today another detective never heard or spoke to this person since the incident took place and was very rude condescending on the phone. I was at the airport and everyone heard our conversation. I requested for the supv call me immediately. I spoke to the supv after I called her and asked why was Murphy still assigned to My case after I told her the way she’s been activist towards me this entire time. She told me Murphy’s been working on this case and that was that. I requ dyed for the next person over Rooks she told me she was walking in the office to speaker to her lieutenant ! Never received a call back this man tried to rape me and all they can say is no probable cause ! Now I have to continue and see him at work and no there was no justice served. Now I guess it’s okay for a person to forcefully grab you pull your pants down tear your bra off and belt. And get away with it great job North Carolina. This pervert will do another Perosn like this he has a track record! It’s okay ? Maybe because I’m black and doesn’t seem this was a big deal these women here were all very unemotionalist individuals she have the nerve to tell me to stop screaming lady I’m crying know the difference. Heartless people! Thanks because this man ruined my life and now I know he can walk around as a free man with no worries !

I hope the right people read this to change their training protocol. I called on March 24 to report what looked like a down/ exposed power line…I have always been taught that that with is EXTREMELY dangerous to the public and could kill someone should they get electrocuted. These lines were on the sidewalk. I told the operator who answered the non emergency safety line and she told me to call duke energy. I explained to her that this is potentially as high as 480 volts which could KILL SOMEONE. And she simply told me to call 911 instead if I “thought it was an emergency”…like hello..?!? You have access to the police and emergency crew! That’s why I called! I ended up calling 911 to get someone out there since id prefer someone not die. But my god, retrain your operators…

Waited 19 hours for animal control (who never contacted me or came by as far as I know) after two large dogs almost attacked my dogs. Called back after 2 hours, and was told an officer had not responded yet. Called back the next day and was told the officer tried to call me, but my mailbox was full. My phone never rang and there were no missed calls. I was not on the phone much at all, plus I have call waiting. The dispatcher could not tell me when the officer had supposedly called or come by. Don't expect to be protected if there is a real emergency. This whole experience has been a disappointing joke.

My car was hit in my apartment complex and it took TWO months for an officer to come out and ask for footage of the incident. TWO months too late because cameras roll over. If my situation had been made a priority by the third phone call rather than the 6th after talking to multiple people then justice could've been served to the person who hit my car and ran from the scene. SUPER annoyed and frustrated that all I get is an apology for fault of the cmpd for not taking my situation seriously because they aren't paying for the damage to my car, I have to.

I agree that all officers have a rough job..no matter their location. However, this office failed when I needed them most. I will never forget it. My husband had to locate and lead a seven car chase for my stolen vehicle through Mecklenburg because they wouldn't act. They didn't act 48 hours earlier when I personally located my stolen vehicle by myself. I called them personally, 911 included, 3 times. It was a paperwork issue from Union, I was told. Then..when they did act..they let the guy go. Thanks so much!

Shut down access to the main downtown parking ramp – Lot 1 – from the I-77 / I-277 direction. Forcing ALL of this game traffic through a long 2 mile circle that ended up back on the same ramp entrance that people were trying to get to in the first place. Only one block away from this entrance on way in, yet ALL this traffic was forced to go around this huge loop through all the other traffic and pedestrians. REAL SMART use of your resources. Someone really has there head you know where.

I spoke to two people on the phone who were very unhelpful and condescending. The “Law Enforcement” team here is completely unprofessional and have provided any sense of safety for people who have been through a traumatic event. There needs to be a lesson in customer service and what it really means to serve the community. Very disappointed with the level of care here. I would recommend calling on god before seeking their help.

On Friday night, I spent 14 hours riding along with officers in the Westover Division. The calls for service were non-stop so I saw a lot. These particular officers and all responding officers I encountered stayed calm and very patient with folks from the community. I witnessed officers deescalate many situations that could have easily been instigated. I have a new found appreciation for law enforcement after this experience

The police officers that I’ve encountered was extremely polite an very respectful. They had to come out an talk to a young teen I'm caring for and he kept getting into trouble at school so I called the police dept. a few officers came out had a conversation with him, gave me great leads to help further if the behavior continues to escalate in the future. Thank you Mecklenburg!!

Thank you for saving kids today. Without your quick response there would have been more injuries. My eyes never want to see what some of you saw today. What I saw was all of you running into danger and everyone else running to safety. My heart breaks for the families and friends that lost their loved one. May God hold all of you in his arms. I spent 45 mins on hold before hanging up after I was robbed. My homie got bodyslammed to the point where he has permanent scars down his back. Two people very close to me were murdered in the past year and I have seen no signs of effort in either investigation. Idk what Yal are doing here in Charlotte besides handing out drug charges like Halloween candy.

Spoke with 4 separate officers on a person committing online fraud living in Charlotte, having their identifiable address, information and documentation of the issue they would not let me even submit a claim. I do not live in the area, but this is not acceptable behavior. Why would you make someone in your city immune to the law?

The officers are a credit to the community they do an outstanding job. They listened to the complaint and are very fair and just. I want to thank the two officers that came out this morning to my house, I appreciate everything they did. I just wished I'd gotten their names

They were very gentle when they handcuffed me. Patrol vehicles are incredibly spacious with lots of leg room. Overall, they were very professional and courteous. Likely to get arrested by them again, for sure.

CMPD is a smart police force. The officers treat members of the public well and listen to their concerns. CMPD officers work very hard to keep us safe.
