We have a very overly anxious pup and every time we go to the vet, he barks constantly, hyperventilates, and stresses out to the point where his eyes get red and his breathing gets labored. He doesn't like going to vet and last year, to get his annual exam and shots done, they had to muzzle and also sedate him. We've tried trazodone, cbd oils, etc. He's due for his annuals again now and we decided to try a different vet to see if maybe a change in environment would help. We really didn't want to sedate him because the last time we did it, he woke up and looked so confused, angry, and sad. He was drooling and wasn't himself for days. We decided to bite the bullet and call here. I spoke to Fatima and she was so kind, caring, and understood our predicament. Her voice eased my nerves and confirmed our decision to come here. She got us in quickly too! As soon as I arrived, the entire staff were super friendly and accommodating! I called ahead of time too when I arrived and they had a room ready for him so he could go straight in. It was so cute that they had a sign on the room for our pup!!! The room felt very comfortable and had dog toys and blankets! It wasn't the traditional exam room where it feels cold and stoic. At first, he seemed to be okay and started exploring the room and toys but then he started to get stressed and anxious and barked alot. Megan, the vet tech was amazing! She was very gentle, calm, and understood that our pup is alot to work with. She took him back and he did really well! I heard some barks but for the most part, he was actually not as stressed out. When he went back into the exam room though, he started getting stressed out and barking alot again (we think he may have had a bad experience in an exam room), so Megan took him back again and he did great! She took her time with him and made sure to walk him around the area to get familiarized with things and even let him chill with all the techs and vet back there! I gave them permission to do all his vaccines and exam back there since he was more at ease. Megan is such a doll! I spoke to the vet, Dr. Huitt and he was super nice, very thorough, and came up with a plan to help our pup be less stressed. He suggested "happy visits" in which we would bring our pup here every few weeks so he could become accustomed to the staff and area. Happy visits consists of lots of treats, pettings, and walks around the vicinity. This is the first time that a vet has suggested this to us and I thought it was a wonderful idea. This is to hope that our pup will become less anxious and stressed when he comes! You could tell he was very passionate about the work he does and truly cares for the well-being of our cherished pets. I didn't feel rushed at all. He answered all of my questions about medications, vaccines, the exam, etc. I truly felt welcomed and at ease here. Our pup didn't need to be muzzled or sedated at all! He was barking alot but it wasn't nearly as bad as last year! We're excited to work together with an incredible vet and team for our pup! Thank you so much Dr. Huitt, Megan, Fatima, and staff for making our first visit here so much better! Please do yourself a favor and come take your pets here!

I wouldn't recommend this place unless it's the last resort, you're better off at looking for other vets within the area. My pup was misdiagnosed and was put on a variety of medications that eventually caused back to back bouts of diarrhea and sickness. Although it was costly due to having to pay for vet visits, medications and even emergency visits at night at Blue Pearl (amazing place), luckily she is doing fine after going to another vet. Unfortunately the same thing happened with my kitten, she was given strong probiotics for dogs. Another issue is the front desk representative and the manager are unprofessional and rude. My elderly / disabled mother went into the clinic to get clarification on a quote that advised my pup needed 8 teeth extracted, when she got a second opinion at Capital Animal Hospital (also a great place) they advised no teeth need to be extracted only a good cleaning is required. The front desk rep (not Fatima, she's great) proceeds to have an attitude and refused to assist my mother. Advising that once my pup is in for her procedure, she can get an explanation. 1. People need to budget as the service is costly 2. If it was advised by another professional that the extraction is invasive and is not required why would you not provide a paying customer info as extractions ran the price up? She proceeds to say she does not want to talk any more and rushes to the back. Finally she gets the manager who comes out extremely rude, raising her voice, claiming my mother was being aggressive with representative (which did not happen), and proceeds to say my mother is "fired" and that she call the police. If you look at reviews on Yelp, this is not the first time that people have had issues with the same rep and the manager also threatened them with trespassing. It's really unfortunate that 2 individuals here lack professionalism, have a horrible attitude, and treat elderly / disabled people in this manner. Never coming back again, extremely shady way to conduct business when people are clarifying prices for their animals especially after mistakes have been previously.

Chimney Lakes Animal Hospital is one of the best vets I have been to. I found my boy, Ash, back in June and gained his trust to eventually enter my house. Ash was in worse shape than I thought after I gave him a look over. He had a gash in his head, a terrible allergic reaction to fleas, and some trauma related issues. Fatima, Sarah, Dr. Begg, Dr. Huitt, and everyone else (I am so sorry I cannot think of everyone off the top of my head) thank you so much for your help with him. It has been a long road for recovery but I am grateful for all the help. I will continue to come here for years to come!

Love this place. We have been using this vets office since 2004. We loved the original Doctors Dr. Dressel, Dr. McKee and Dr. Bonner when they were there. They have since retired or move. The new office went corporate I think a couple of years before Dr. Dressel retired. There was some changes but we just had to get use to new updates. The new Doctors that came on board are very nice and caring and spend time with you if you need questions answered. They always follow up the next day checking on your pet after their appointments.

The staff here is incredible. Scheduling is flexible, needs are always met, and everyone seems to genuinely care. We unfortunately had to have our 14-year-old dog put down, and the Dr. and staff made that experience as comfortable as possible, both for us and our little girl. They comforted us all during the process and even sent us a card with sympathy messages from the staff a few weeks later. Highly, highly, highly recommend if you live within a reasonable distance that you use this group to take care of your loved ones

Just moved into the area and was looking for a new home vet, we chose Chimney Lakes at random, and are glad we did. We had a great first experience. My dog had been sick and needed to be seen ASAP and I was able to get an appointment the same day. The staff was nothing short of amazing. They were all super helpful and listened to all my questions and concerns and were very informative on my options. My baby was treated like royalty and even made the "pet of the day." We will be recommending this vet to all my pet lovers.

I cannot praise Dr. Begg and Sarra enough. Sarra helped me get in and was so pleasant- quite the CS skill when dealing with emotional fur parents. Dr. Begg was the most pleasant veterinarian I ever had the pleasure of meeting. I went to him for a second opinion on my kitty and he gave me hope that my baby will get better. Cats and dogs are common pets to have but when they have something go wrong, we need Veterinarians that hold our hands and tells us everything will be okay. Dr. Begg did that, and I am so grateful.

No wait is worth a few extra dollars! You can go to a discount place and sit for an hour and a half in the lobby with many people and animals (often with no seats left) or you can make an appointment here and be seen without a long wait. (I waited maybe 5 minutes) This place has Awesome doctors who care about your animals and value your time! My bill was reasonable and I think I’ve paid close to that at the discount vet. My appointment was at 10:40 and I was home by 11:15. I Highly recommend this vet!

The Doctors and staff at Chimney Lakes Animal Hospital are kind and compassionate. I’ve been taking my mini dachshunds there for a year and always get an appointment immediately. I trust the Doctors completely. Recently we had to say goodbye to our 14 year old, Neko, and I will never forget Dr Tyler’s compassion during a most difficult time. Saying goodbye is never easy but Dr Tyler honored Neko in his final moments by helping us remembered what we loved most about him. I will be forever grateful!

2 weeks ago we came to Chimney Lakes for care and my 12 year old dog Katie was having a hard time walking and was diagnosed with Diabetes! Friday, 2 weeks later she walked right into CLAH and the greeting she received was so sweet!!!!! All the techs and girls came right out to see her in the waiting room, and everyone was amazed at her progress!!!! Thank you ALL at CLAH!! . I feel like I have support trying to manage her new diagnosis, THANK YOU DR. BEGG, you are truly amazing!!

We absolutely love this place! Gizmo receives outstanding treatment. Dr. Begg is the sweetest, most caring, amazing, and knowledgeable Vet we have seen. Gizmo absolutely loves him and Christina/Christine (I am sorry for not renumbering her name). Dr. Begg explains everything thoroughly. The Brisco family, especially Gizmo Brisco, could not be more pleased with this practice! 10/10 would recommend every time!!!

Every single person we came in contact with was kind and personalized our experience. Dr Huitt was amazing and even called twice to follow up on my dogs well being. I can’t begin to describe how meaningful and such a relief this was for me. Charli is very fearful and would not even allow anyone to touch her. Nevertheless, we were given the utmost care and concern while at our appt and after.

Great people and great experience I had sorta emergency with my boy and his vet wouldn't see him for 2wks. I called y'all and you had no problem seeing him even thou he wasn't a regular client. Dr.Begg was so good at checking out my dog who has heart issues. He explained the medications and was so informative. He put me at ease and I actually felt that he really cared. That alone was very comforting! I felt we were a team on moving forward with what will best help my dog! He is a caring vet and full of energy! I hope to see him on the next visit!

Staff was very friendly, they all listened to my concerns and took everything into consideration. They answered all of my questions and most of all took very good care of my cat during her appointment. Also, they have decent pricing; I would recommend to come here with your pet if you’re looking for the great quality and care for your fur baby.

Chimney Lakes is pretty awesome. Our favorite vet is Doug McKee. He was able to get a prescription I needed for me to pick up at Chimney Lakes. The receptionist was so nice, the vet techs are amazing and office manager, Sherrie, always works for miracles for us. They treat my babies like their own. Thank you ❤️

Our sweet girl Princess Daytona has panic attacks and seizures. Normally, she is very nervous and shakes. Was suggested to give her a treat. We started using CLAH back in 2004. The new group who took over has been amazing & supportive. The only downside is they went from having your furr baby's nailes clipped for free & now it's $20. I think that's a bit excessive for something that takes them 3 min to do. Other than that, it's 5 stars

The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable! My rescue who is quite skittish is fine when we go in. That’s always a sign of good people. They’re also very cost-conscious. I’ve seen three different veterinarians and all three were very good with my baby. I’m so glad someone recommended them to me!

They take their time with my fur baby. My baby is scared of vets but the tech put down a blanket and sprayed a natural product my dog was at ease. The vet also got down at my dogs level and loved on him. They take great care of my dog and don’t try to push test that are pricey if not needed.
