I recently had a horrible experience. After 4 years of going there, I took my dog because he was in pain and Ros didnt even do a thorough check and diagnosed him with degenerative myelopathy. Gave him some meds for the week and said 'if these work, then it's not that, but I'm pretty sure it is'. So knowing this info at the time I was distraught - and my intuitive was telling me to get a second opinion. I went to another vet a few days later for a second opinion and they had confirmed that Ros' diagnosis was completely wrong. He had a slipped disc in his back (which is all fixed now by the way and he is feeling 110% better) So I definately wont be going back to this vet and wont be recommending anyone take their fur babies there. That's a disgraceful way to treat an animal and it's a misdiagnosis. Who knows how many innocent animals have been misdiagnosed?

we had a devastating experience with this vet. we took our 8 yr old Burmese cat there because he seemed under the weather, they did blood tests and said he was diabetic, then we took him home with insulin, injected him as instructed, then he seemed to get worse after a few weeks, we took him back, and the vet said they'd keep him at the hospital for observation, so we left him there. and we heard nothing at all, then after 2 days they called to say he was dead. we paid thousands to get to this, felt terrible guilt that he had died in such a horrible place by himself, then we even paid for an autopsy, and they told us they couldn't see what he had died from. it was catastrophic, we have never regretted anything as much as we regret taking our cat there. And in reply to your response: It was definitely this clinic. There is only one in Switchback rd.

I went there today for my puppy husky nine weeks old I had a booking and when I arrived I was told to wait outside I did that 27° While I heard the receptionist and veterinarian laughing about their personal conversation absolutely disgusted with the service they were very nice over the phone and when I arrived that they turned out with a different attitude I don’t recommend have you ever heard of a vet clinic having a waiting area outside so disgusted this happened on 7/3/2020 at 12.15pm my appointment was at 12:15 they did not even call me until 45 minutes later and said please call me back on the message they said we are ready now for your puppy I am so disgusted this place is a guarantee money pit where they don’t look after you don’t recommend at all I could give a zero star I would

I cannot speak highly enough of the team at Chirnside Park Vet clinic. Over the past 4.5 years Anton, Sae, Yuwen, Ros and the team have gone above and beyond to take care of my dog, Ollie. From routine checkups and vaccinations, emergency visits on a long Easter weekend after being involved in a car accident to stomach surgery from ingesting bones including after hours checkups, the team have ensured Ollie was always comfortable and well cared for. Ollie and I have tried many different Vets in the area, none of which can compete with the level of care and compassion shown by the team at Chirnside Park Vet clinic. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for all the furry friends in the community.

Such a wonderful place and staff. We sadly and unexpectently had to say goodbye to one of our Fur Boys yesterday, and the Clinic welcomed us with open arms, gave us a room telling us to stay as long as we need with our dog, giving time for family to come say their goodbyes to him. We ended up being in that room for 2 hours, and not one staff rushed us. Upon the passing of our dog, they had lit a candle out the front in memory of him. It was such a hard day for us, but the amazing team, their compassion and support, and love for animals made it even more special and memorable for not only the family, but for our fur boy.

Dr Ros is so busy talking about herself you wont be able to get a word in about your pet and the reason you are there. I have even heard her shout disrespectfully at a member of staff while walking through the reception area which was awkward and upsetting. I have also been asked to wait outside in the cold as there were too many people in the tiny waiting room and this was way before COVID times. While she may have sold the business to Anton and Sae she still holds the Director position and controls the way its run. So while the practice is cheap - you get what you pay for! Its low price and low care.

Ever since we moved back to the area we started going to this vet. Anton has been beyond wonderful and so have the girls at the desk. From general check ups to questions and anything else, then we had to say goodbye to our beloved fur baby Harper and he was just so kind, caring and gentle about our situation. A candle was burning at the desk for the passing of a pet in the clinic which is a beautiful gesture for their clients. Thank you all for being so kind. If we ever get another pet we will be back with this clinic in a heart beat.

This was my best friend. I called you in tears Tuesday. You saw me hours later. You treated us with compassion, honestly and dignity with love. You were so kind. You were gracious, understanding. Harley left this world an hour after we arrived. I'll never forget your care of the whole family. The candle burning as I left with tear filled eyes. When the next pup enters my life you have us for life. Outstanding. Thank you for the bottom of my heart. Well done.

Great vets!/ edit, I used to see the male vet here he was great, last visit I got a young female and she felt judgemental, kept trying to upsell and force blood tests I couldn’t afford; all I wanted was my dogs vaccines and heartworm injections, there was other things she said and tried to get me to see a heart specialist which I said I didn’t need to as I was moving interstate and couldn’t afford but she insisted. Please learn to read people better.

Anton and the staff here are amazing and so caring. I bring my breeders terms dogs here and they are so knowledgeable and helpful. My vet of 40 years is about to retire and i was panicked about finding a great vet in my area for my cat. Aldo will be a new patient at Chirnside and i know he will be well cared for. Lola & Rosie will continue to come for all their general health and breeding requirements.

We had to have our little man put to sleep. They where amazing and so companionate, even sent us a beautiful card signed by every body there and a foot print of our beautiful little man on it. Spoke with two Vets at the clinic today. the more experienced vet was very good! the younger one less experienced was very nice and helpful. however personally I wasn't given enough specific detail about the treatment the itself. It was very good but I would have preferred more precise information! they are very good breeding clinic! AND, not too expensive!

The vets are really good at what they do here, and the prices for a consultation are very reasonable! The medication is a bit pricey (like all vet clinics though). Only 4 stars because during covid I had to wait for my appointment for about 20 minutes and it was cold and windy that day. I will keep coming to this vet though. Happy with it :)

Great people, great service, and looks clean. My many various pets have been looked after well and after a couple years with them now, i am very happy. The business has been running for over 20 years atleast as i've been past it all these years. My pets really like it here and don't fret too much either. :)

My dog got attacked yesterday and we rushed to the clinic. Kasey and Yunhan offered us help beyond their work. Their kindness and expertise helped me and my dog calm down and my dog loved them so much that she refused to leave. Thanks heaps you guys are the best …

The best Veterinary clinic around the Yarra Valley area. All nurses and Vets are trained in latest treatments. On the few occasions I have had to attend there for my cats, I have walked away with full confidence that my feline friend has been extremely well looked after.

Amazing care and concern during a sunday evening emergency. Emergency surgery and ICU overnight care from a 3pm sunday call. I was 10 minutes away and they were ready to go. We are so appreciative our dogs might not have survived without them.

Always a pleasure. Afforable and thorough consultations, with great service during and outside business hours. They have always been so helpful and have calmed me down heaps when my border collie has had various issues.

Were very helpful and caring when putting down an animal EDIT: Would also like to put they made a very loving card that arrived 1-2 weeks later that had our dog's pawprint on it and encouraging words from the staff.

Ros has an awesome team here including a great out of hours service (any time). Their knowledge, equipment and expertise is great and we have never had a bad experience with them. Our dogs love to visit.

They provide ok service. Very cheap, fast turnaround for breeder related things but it is visible they rush things. Take it easy and slowly, if it comes with a slightly larger bill so be it.

Good, knowledgeable vets, excellent friendly staff. Will keep taking my pup here. Very busy little vet, always open to bring in emergencies. Accommodating most issues as far as I can tell.

Most caring and affordable vet of all the different ones we tried!! (and we have tried many). Our Mia has to go there every month due to her age and is always cared for exceptionally.

Went for the first time for in house progesterone testing as part of their breeder services. They also have general vet care and 24 hour emergency carem. Very lovely, calm vet.

Great place for your pet. Staff are fantastic & provide all the information you need. Took excellent care of our kitten who needed surgery. Highly recommend.

nurses were really nice, but vets were shouting and directing the nurses around, we saw sae a while ago and she seems to have very little empathy for animals

Always take great care of our fur babies at regular check ups, even complicated surgery and on occasion supporting us through painful goodbyes.

The vets here are always very helpful, and genuine. I always learn something about caring for my cat, and they offer great tips and advice.
