I usually don’t review but this just irked me. On Christmas Eve day at 9:50 AM I stopped in for the first and last time. As I approached the door I looked to be sure they were open and noticed all the lights were on and grabbed the door handle and walked in. As soon as I stepped in the woman (girl) stated we are closed. I said oh sorry, open at 10? She stated “the same as every other day!” I said again, sorry my first and last time! Just a very rude person. My business will be at Specs. To bad this place is just a mile from my new house.

Came in to pick up something for a friend. Person working was not wearing a mask and was on the phone. He did not put on a mask when I and another customer walked in. He continued talking without the mask even as we both approached the counter and did not make any effort to assist (I was clearly wandering the store in need of assistance) nor did he acknowledge us or attempt to put on a mask. After a couple minutes I left. Will not come again because they clearly do not care about the safety or needs of their guests.

The selection is ok, the prices are good, and the people are great! They might not have exactly what you are looking for, but they do what they can to keep you coming back. They are also the only place within walking distance, but do not act as such. The reason I give 4 instead of 5 stars is due to the selection, but I also understand that a small place like this cannot always stock your favourite! I will definitely return.

I've been going here for the past 2 years, once every three months. I don't drink alot so I get a $1.00 sample size of ruby red vodka. There's an older guy that works there, a white man, glasses. He told me as I was buying one last night, (i used my credit card because i didnt have cash) not to buy those anymore because I was costing him money. And he was serious!!!!!This guy is a total ass and needs to be fired.

A nice local neighborhood store with a knowledgeable and laid back team and decent prices too. On weekends there's usually a lovely lady giving out samples of the flavor of the week, Wild Turkey was the offering the last time I was there. They also always have limes at the register which is a great and welcome last minute addition. Stop in and check them out.

Didn't have what I wanted and was also kind of freaked out that the only employee (in view) working at the store did not have a mask on and only pulled it up when I asked if he worked there....we are in a pandemic, the least we can all do is where the damn mask. Not going back there.

I went in to buy some liquor. I paid for a nice bottle of Macallan 12. A man approached me, and insisted I give it to him. When I refused, he advised me his name was Chris, that I was in Chris's Liquor... And that all of it belonged to him. Nice atmosphere. Helpful staff.

Neighborhood Liquor store. You know it if your from Southside in my hood. Still has good enough prices that I'll go to Chris' Liquor before Spec's anytime I don't have the time or energy to deal with a huge store.

Great location, I have been going here for years and have never felt used for my money. Anytime I need anything ordered they get it for me and are more then happy to help. You have another permanent customer!!!

I have asked several times for the store to get in the liquor I like and the person who works at the front said that they would. That was months ago and I will not give them any more business.

I will go out of my way to go to this specific liquor store! The employees are the best! They sometimes have free samples, super knowledgable, and clean. You won't regret it.

Fantastic South Austin liquor store with a great selection and some of the best staff and prices in town. Momo's Michelada Mix is also now being sold there for only $19.99

Good selection but every time I go in here the staff is rude. One girl sighed and acted annoyed because I used a chip card. Never had a professional experience here.

The man at the counter was nice, the store is very clean, there is a decent selection for a store this size. Overall good experience, I will continue shopping here.

Very friendly staff and good selection. Often have a "tasting table" to view and sample various liquor products. Easy access with a neighborhood feel.

We walked in and were immediately greeted by Chris and offered samples from his staff. He was extremely helpful and friendly. Great team and service

Not the biggest or cheapest. But their pricing is lower than most (excluding Specs and Total Wine). Kind staff and nice whiskey selection.

I like this location better than the one closer to my home, 'cause here they're friendly. The one at Slaughter and Manchaca, not so much.

Be sure to ask the old guy at the register his opinion on "foreigner" shopkeepers if he doesn't tell you it unsolicited.
