Hmmmm… I’ve given Chubby Baker a couple of go’s and I’ve settled on not really making any more trips. Listen, unfortunately they branded themself as a “donut and cafe shop” to have your filled donuts ready everyday at 1pm is kinda lame considering it’s a breakfast staple. I understand to have donuts ready for the morning takes some sacrifice and dedication. Based of this I don’t think the business will succeed in the long run. The times I have had the filled donuts they were nothing to moan over. For todays order I wold rate it as the following— Sugar Ring Donut - 2/5 Butterfinger Ring Donut- 2/5 Brown Butter Donut l- 3/5 Banana Pudding- 4/5 Hot Dark Chocolate- 4/5 Iced Ube Late- 3/5 Service- 3/5 My major issues with the donuts is that they taste mostly of the frying oil and not the yeast and I’m not a fan of a crunch skin. Should be light and fluffy throughout. Additionally the sweet to salty ratios in the filled donuts seem to be off. As for the iced drinks, 90% ice 10% drink which is annoying. Give them a try but don’t expect to make it a regular spot.

Three of us split two donuts, and my wife said it's the best donut she's ever had. Which really is saying something. She normally doesn't get excited about a donut. There's no question. They were excellent. The standard donuts cost $5 each, and the seasonal/specialty donuts cost $5.50. We had one of each. Was the donut worth five bucks? I'm not sure, honestly. But I am sure that no other donut I've ever had came closer to being worth that much. The gal at the counter was super nice and professional, cute little shop, would probably go again.

I’ve been following them on Instagram for a while and was excited to give them a try. First impression is that it’s a smidge dirty in the inside. There was garbage in the floor and the chairs and couches had quite a few stains. That being said, the service was nice and they had a good selection of items, considering we stopped it later in the day. The donuts are good. Lights and not too sweet. We tried the ube, mango coconut, and the ferrero. The ube was by far a favorite with the coconut coming in a very close second. We just wish there was more mango flavor, since we couldn’t really taste it. We also got a chocolate and tiger cake. I would try these again, because the flavor was there, but they were also very dry. Also shared a strawberry milk which is a winner. Overall super good and we won’t hesitate to stop in again.

This bakery had me at PASSIONFRUIT donut! They have lived up to their HYPE and I can't wait until they officially open their doors on a daily basis! Right now it is pre-orders for curbside pickup. Their donuts are some of the fluffiest donuts I've ever tasted, (coated with sugar), and then each donut is topped with a specific topping, which is also the filling inside. Their passionfruit donut is out of this world - slightly sweet and slightly tart, the most perfect balance you'll have in each bite. The creme brulee donut is also exquisite, with a slightly caramelized top and I love the airiness and the texture of the dough. I can't wait to try her other flavors, as she switches her flavors. She has also expanded her menu to cake slices and refreshing drinks!

Chubby Baker is one of our favorite Sunday donut spots. We always stock up whenever we are in SLC. The UBE filled donut is my absolute favorite. The passion fruit, strawberries and cream, and guava are amazing. Update: Ube latte was very good. I love anything with Ube, and Chubby Baker has several options to satisfy my cravings. The ube filled donut is still my favorite, but their brown butter glaze and seasonal apple cobbler donuts were a close second. Go check out this cute little shop.

My wife heard about this place from a social media post. I was worried that she was not going to like it, she is often disappointed since she has plenty of training as a pastry chef. She often tells me all that was wrong or missing from a pastry. This time she was quiet, and as soon as a i saw her face i knew this was the real deal. Decoration is simple but cute and has a great vibe. Their motto chubby but happy is now my go to phrase. Place was pretty clean, yet some of the furniture in the parlor was stained. All in all - rating the food - AMAZING. Gets the stamp of Wife approved- which means I will surely be going back! Ps...staff was friendly and helpful. (Ice water cup was refreshing, spring water)

LISTEN TO ME, i have tried a lot of doughnuts in my lifetime. I LOVE doughnuts and these are by far the best doughnuts in utah (possibly in the world) we had such a hard time picking out which ones to get, we just wanted to try them all. the staff was so friendly and answered all our questions. she could tell our excitement and even threw in an extra doughnuts and i’m so glad she did because the peaches and cream doughnuts was my absolute favorite and the coconut cream doughnut is out of this world!! we live in provo but we will definitely be making this place a monthly commute. thank you chubbys <3 also the inside is so pink and so girl we loved everything about it

Wowee!! What a good time! The donuts are humongous and the decor is immaculate. I’m a big fan of the flavors. They remind me of snacks from a bakery I frequented in Singapore as a peddler of Mormonism. The passion fruit was especially nice. The sour, subtle flavor is not something easy to find around here. If you’re into baked goods that are more interesting than the bakery aisle at Smith’s or (and I know I’ll get flak for this) Banbury Cross, the this is the place to visit. They have more than donuts but alas, I am but a single boy. I am also a huge fan of the fact that this bakery doesn’t cater to morning people. Why should they get all the baked goods‽

Home-made Asian American Bakery. Whaaaaaat! Oh Yes! I have to tell you, when I wrote this review these were all gone and now I need more. Luckily these guys sell these amazing soft delicious stuffed donuts at their new location and no longer three times a week, and you should try them. They have a variety of Asian infused flavors that change weekly. I tried the their signature flavor coconut also lychee and Thai tea, and was impressed with them all especially the passion fruit. One bite made oh so happy, it was soft, fluffy and full of delicious filling and powdered sugar. 100% foodie approved!

This place has three things going for it: 1. excellent bakes on all their products. Thier donuts have a springy, dense but light texture that is so unique. The cake we tried had a loose crumb that paired well with the cream and fruit toppings 2. Amazing flavor combinations. We tried the hot guava donut, the passion fruit donut, and the chubby tiger cake. All spectacular, especially the hot guava, which is covered in spicy sweet tajin sugar. 3 Rotating flavors. The menu is updated frequently with new creations, so you know I'll be coming back for more.

After many months of waiting and them teasing the open I finally made it over. The dough itself was some of the best I have had in Utah. The filling was not as good. The sweet potato donut had virtually no filling inside of it. And it may be the Asian play on sweet dough to have a salter filling, I am not sure. But it didn’t pair well for me. I would be willing to give it another try with new flavors. But honestly I found the cost to higher than I would find for donuts in high cost cities such as Seattle, Boston, and NYC.

I thought this place had very good donuts but the customer service is awful and I tried to come back to get the donut I once enjoyed and every single time they don’t have it. They said they start making the cream ones available at one and I have tried showing up right at one and they aren’t done, if I show up at 2 or 3 or 4 they don’t have them either and are sold out. Thanks for all the wasted gas I spent driving to this place just to be disappointed time and time again with false promises.

LOVE the vibes & the treats! Such a cute shop with excellent customer service. We ordered the coconut cream and strawberry cheesecake donuts which were TO DIE FOR! The donut dough itself is the perfect level of sweetness and softness, paired with delicious creamy flavors. We didn’t get any pics of our donuts because we DEVOURED them. 10/10, will be returning again. *Side note: If you go in the morning/earlier in the day, they’ll have more options than the evening because they sell out.*

Hands down my new favorite place ever. DELICIOUS. These are airy, sweet, flavorful and pretty. Amazing presentation and spotless in bakery. The different flavors were glorious. I got a lavender, ube, strawberry cream, browned butter, coconut, guava, and passion fruit donut, and honestly still can’t decide which was my favorite. If I lived closer to salt lake proper I’d be here EVERYDAY…..good thing it’s a drive for me. They deserve every star and positive review. Go there.

We’ve heard nothing but great things about this cute bakery & had to come try it for ourselves. The staff was friendly and answered all of our questions. It’s always super exciting trying out new flavors every month from Chubby Baker. My sister got the tiramisu latte (not pictured) from here once and it was extremely tasty!! I got the lychee tonic drink and it was a little hard to mix the syrup into the drink but when I finally did, it was very good! If you like to mix fruity flavors with coffee like me you will enjoy it. :-) Try the chubby tiger cake it is my new favorite cake when it used to be the strawberry one!

To surprise my husband today, I ordered some donuts from Chubby Baker and I genuinely wish we got a picture before we scarfed them down! They were beautifully presented and SO yummy! We ordered the passion fruit cream cheese, strawberry cream, coconut, and brown sugar butter glazed donuts. They were all delicious, but that strawberry one was next level. The dark chocolate iced drink was awesome too. Seriously the best donuts in the entire city.

Best donuts we have EVER had, hands down. The decor is so so cute, and the staff is helpful and friendly. She went above and beyond to give us a great experience. I’m glad I don’t live in this area or I’d be in every day, and I just can’t afford new pants AND daily donuts. Absolutely fantastic in every way. Definitely make time to come in, when you’re in the area. Or come to SLC just for the donuts, it would be worth it just for the visit.

They had a closing deal tonight and I got to try Chubby Baker for the first time. I had been following them on social media for some time. Their donuts always looked good but I had never tried them. It was worth the wait! The chocolate peanut butter cup filled donut was soooo good! It wasn’t overly sweet. It had flavor. Texture was spot on. Super fresh. I loved it! EASILY the best donut I’ve had in SLC thus far. Thanks, Chubby Baker!

I've only experienced this place via delivery but my experiences have been pretty great. The peaches and cream donut situation is out of this world! Beautiful, soft, and perfectly filled with cream and fresh fruit and caramel. If you prefer something basic, the sugar donut is really lovely and soft. The only think I'm not crazy for are the butter glazed donuts and the wildly sweet latte - get that half sugar if you order it!

First, the decor is straight out of animal crossing. It's all pink and cute with heart shaped chairs, everything you could ever need. Everything is cute. The food, the drink (before i stirred it), the lighting, everything was just adorable. Second, literally the best matcha I've ever had. It's perfectly strong and sweet, and they have oat milk. The strawberry cake is also amazing, and i can't wait to try the chocolate.

Came here to find some good donuts and was blown away in love with their strawberry creme one. we also got a banana cake and it was *chefs kiss*. the staff was super friendly and inviting and the decor of the place was so cute. i can’t wait to go back again!

In my wife’s own words: “This is special.” In my own words: “Wow, wow…wow” I had the Banana Pudding Bomb. So simple yet sooooo delicious and light. It is perfectly fluffy and the bananas are fresh. My wife got the Chubby Tiger Cake (pictured). This one is a complex and multi-faceted dessert. If you want something rich but not overwhelming, I suggest you try it. One of the best desserts I’ve had in SLC to date.

This place lived up to all of the hype! We got the coconut crème and the passion fruit. Neither was too sweet, both had tons of filling, the donut itself was soft and tender and perfect… I couldn’t find a flaw if you paid me to! We also had lattes and they were also good, if slow (it’s not a coffee shop, I know!). Sorry that I didn’t get pictures of the actual donuts we ate - they were gone too fast!

I went to Utah for a work trip and one of my best friends told me this was a place I HAD to go to. Now, I've traveled quite a bit - have had hundreds of donuts in my life; this is hands-down, the best donut I have ever had in my entire life. The vibe of this place is so heartwarming and the passion fruit donut is to die for. If you do anything while in SLC, make it this place.

Cute donut shop. They have some tables inside if you wanted to sit and eat there. For donuts, we tried the coconut and hot guava and for cakes, we tried the strawberry fresh cream and banana pudding. The donuts were pretty good. The hot guava had some interesting flavors. For the cakes, they were okay. Nothing special and not really worth $8.5 for a small square.

Always on the look out for a good donut and definitely found one here! Not a ton of selection, but that is okay because that means what they do make is better. I haven't tried the cakes but the donuts were very good! The only reason I didn't give five stars is because the person who helped us didn't really seem happy to be there, kind of curt. Maybe a bad day???

The ube cake was yummy, my only issue is that it felt like 75% icing 25% cake, it’s a little disappointing because the cake was very soft and moist and I would’ve loved to enjoy more of the cake itself. It does have great flavor though. The strawberry shortcake was delightful, fresh strawberries and not too sweet which was very pleasant as well as airy.

Fantastic pastries! A must hit if you're looking Loved the sweet milk (Hokkaido Milk Donut) but they were all fantastic. It was truly the best donut I've ever had. And I'm no stranger to donuts. Chubby Baker definitely hit the spot. I took my kids in for the first time last Saturday and I couldn’t be more happy I stopped by. I got the U e and passion fruit doughnuts. Such a cute little bakery. I loved how it was decorated inside and there’s some space to sit and enjoy your sweets. The strawberry cheesecake (seasonal) donut was so good! Definitely recommend. The lavender donut was delicious too. You have to try their fizz drinks, 10/10.

Absolutely delectable donuts. I have gotten six or seven? boxes now, with continual new flavors so I am never bored, with each one rivaling the last in tastiness. Light fluffy dough, fresh fillings, and fresh fruit. Leaves your mouth watering. If you’re in SLC it’s a must.

The donuts are great and I haven’t had any bad donuts from all the times I’ve gone. The drinks aren’t too bad honestly I think it depends on who makes it, because there have been times where it’s great and more times where my drink comes all watery and barely any flavor.

Paid $10 for the gooey chocolate cake and it was terrible! The texture was gritty, even the cake was gritty. It was like eating MUD. So confused on how this texture is even possible for cake. Unfortunate because I'd been before and got the banana one and it was good!

The brown butter and blueberry lavender doughnuts were both excellent. Then my mind was blown with their strawberry cream doughnut. Love how their doughnuts are lighter and their icings/fillings are flavorful without being overly sweet. Definitely coming back soon.

I'm leaving a review for the Orem bakery. Nobody knows you are open!! You really should put up a Grande Opening sign and offer free samples to bring in business and make people know how yummy the donuts are. You won't last in this spot without some major publicity

The cream cheese was off. The cream tasted acid, and the donut, in general, wasn’t at the right temperature to keep it good. I went with my family, and we ordered six donuts, and we couldn’t eat it. Also, expensive. It is the worst donut that I have ever tasted.

Ok, this place is AWESOME. Clean place. Fun atmosphere. Super unique menu and just really really good donuts. I've had about 10 different flavors and have liked them all. The coconut was my favorite, but you can't go wrong. I recommend chubby baker to everyone!

I have been wanting to try this place for a long time. Finally made the drive from Provo and the majority of their donuts weren't finished yet. I was so dissappointed... I ended up grabbing a passion fruit which was good but the ones I came for weren't ready.

I love everything about this bakery. The selection is always varied and everything is always delicious. The interior is so cute and great for pictures. My go-to item is the Strawberry Cream Donut. It’s on the pricier side but is well worth it in my opinion.

Their cakes are really good and not too sweet. Chubby tiger is our favorite chocolate cake. Donuts are ok.

The best donuts in UT! My favorite filling is coconut cream which made of fresh young coconut. Very worth the money. I will definitely come back again! (:
