My favorite part of this park are the giant trees in the centre. Clark Park is Vancouver's second oldest park (after Stanley Park) so there's some interesting historical plaques throughout. For many, it is used as a mskeshift off leash dog park, however, it technically isn't one, so people should be cautious as city officials can ticket those with their dogs unleashed here. This park has a lot of different sports and fitness related areas. There's a few tennis courts, a pull up bar, a ball hockey area, as well as multiple playgrounds geared towards different aged children. It has two baby swings which are conveniently in a shaded area during the warm summer months. In the winter, the west side of the park has a popular sledding hill. Overall, it is a great multipurpose community park.

In 1889 Mr. E. J. Clark donated the land to the newly created park commission and, for some yet to be discovered reason, it was known as Buffalo Park. On July 26, 1911 the Park Board officially renamed this greenspace Clark Park. Mr. E. J. Clark moved to Seattle and died there on July 23, 1942.

A good park to bring the kids on a sunny day. Lots of shady trees. Two playgrounds for kids. This hillside park shows some stunning peekaboo views of downtown Vancouver, especially at night. There are benches, tables and flat areas for picnics and lounging. You'll find play areas for hockey, basketball, racquet sports, football and soccer. Lots of fun to come on Halloween night. You'll be surrounded by fireworks of all kinds. Costumed trick or treaters all around. Ghosts and witches wandering through... Dress warm.

Vancouver has a lot of parks, and this is just another one. Well... I don't mean to say it isn't nice because it is! But it's just not that special. I personally enjoy sitting there at the end of a day, catching the last few days or Sun and I ponder about the futility of our existence. As I go deeper into my thoughts, time passes by and I get enveloped in the golden glow of the sun and realize that I am still alive. Maybe I shouldn't have had this much mushrooms.

the new-ish playground has been opened to the children already, (not so sure that's a great idea what with Covid and everything) and the bowl is still there of course. There is a small community garden in the north west corner, and some benches under the trees along Broadway. Huge shade trees in a couple of spots. I only rated a 3 because of it's being located adjacent to 2 major thoroughfares (Knight street and Broadway border it).

There used to be a mean gang there in the '60's and '70's. I didn't see any gang members so I couldn't join the gang. I hung out for a while in a nice Grove of trees near the playground, tennis courts and the water fountain just past the sports field waiting for the gang written about in Aaron Chapman's book, The Clark Park Gang; The Last Gang In Town, but they must have all been busy. I'll return and try again sometime.

Pretty large park in a quiet neighborhood area. Has areas to play tennis and basketball. There is also a small playground for children. Additional info: There have recently been a lot of complaints about off-leash dogs in the park. The City of Vancouver frequently come here now to issue tickets (up to $250!). Make sure your pooch is on leash and you pick up their poop!

It's great to stumble upon Clark Park in its unusual-feeling location. It has a really nice vibe. It's not the most beautiful park in the world but to go there on a beautiful afternoon or evening and join others dotted around on their picnic blankets just being chill and peaceful and enjoying a green oasis in the midst of the concrete and asphalt is priceless.

The park provides pretty, hilly green space and mature trees in an area that desperately needs them and that's about all. Think there may be a softball field, monkeys bars, a few benches and maybe a bocce court. Be prepared to share space with the private school children from across the street; their school treats the park like their own playground.

Decent for Vancouver tennis courts. The playing surface is inconsistent, especially when the ball bounces on the line. Sometimes it will bounce quite high due to it being mostly concrete, while it skids after hitting the line. In terms of the park, it is nice with a fair sized hill. The park is a nice place for families with kids.

Fun park, mostly on a hill. Pretty good hill for less intense sledding, if there's snow. There are a couple playgrounds, two(?) tennis courts, a basketball court, a floor hockey area, a small zip line, and lots of open grass areas. The whole park goes from commercial to maybe a block or two from Clark, and is a block wide.

Nice, lots of trees big and small, some perfect for climbing. It was quiet, except for us. Lol Great wooden play structure. That was one side of park. Other side has more swings and a big hill. Great little park. Not sure about any washrooms or facilities. Been there a few times and never noticed.

Grew up around this park and moved away. They made it so much nicer! The apple tree is gone thank god. It made the area so swampy and gross. Theres now a bunch of more trees and other fruit bushes growing now. Nice place for a picnic

Live right by the park. Moved here in 1978. Nice, treed park with great neighbours. Second oldest park in Vancouver after Stanley Park. Southern boundary of the park, 15th Avenue, was City of Vancouver city limits until late 1920s.

Nice park to chill. There's a drinking fountain and a portable washroom. 2 tennis courts, a basketball court, and 2 children's playgrounds. Some tall trees for shades. A baseball field too. Plenty of benches and garbage bins.

I lived there back in the 80-s. It was a little rough then, still is, even though houses now cost well over a million. Not a real destination, but if you find yourself there, know that the people living around it are lovely.

It is a comfortable place to sit and relax. Also, I enjoy watching families, mothers and fathers, children in the playground... it reminds me of when my children were young and how much I loved being in the parks with them

Take children here frequently, has an open field, playground and small roller rink with tennis arenas near the Clark Drive side and a second secluded playground, forest and baseball field near the Commercial Drive side.

My toddler really likes this park. Two play grounds: one older near the middle of the park, one pretty new in north east corner. New playground is smallish but has a really good digger and some pretty unique elements.

Large park with tennis courts, kids area, also large slopes to play kites with. Read the plaques to know a bit about the local history. The land was donated by a Mr. E.J. Clark and was made into a park in 1977.

As far as playgrounds go, this one is old school. Big tires, wooden structures, a few good slides, and a zip line. A small “forest” area for kids to run around in. A big field. It’s a nice park.

On Thursdays they have FREE longboarding lessons here. Pro skaters teaching beginners how to ride safely. The neighbourhood is aware of this and understanding and respectable as is the skaters.

Didn't realize I was in the park mentioned in the 'Last Gang in Town'. The sign about the parks history was very informative. Sad that I didnt get to see the wading pool before it was removed

last Sunday i spent an hour with a comrade under a magnificent giant red cedar tree in this park, a first visit to Clark Park. sipping iced hibiscus tea, so serene! Thx Van Park Board.

It's a park but could have been another skate park hahaha. There's a child's playground, basket ball courts, small dog walking paths and little grass features nothing huge but quaint.

Quiet space on a slope facing the evening sun, a space to run your dog, kids play, courts, potable water, wooded areas, open areas -- so many options in a tiny park! :)

The slopes if this park are great to watch the sunset from. You can even see a little bit of downtown Vancouver from here. Great place to enjoy while the kids play.

It's a good park to bring small kids or big kids. The private school across the street uses it so it can get busy at the wrong time of day but a great park.

Nice park with plenty of parking, a basketball court, 2 playgrounds, and benches and picnic tables. Took my toddlers there and they had a good time there.

Very beautiful park with alotta wildlife and plenty of trees to provide shade. Highly recommend to bring your kids to play around.

Ball hockey court needs repaved. People play roller hockey there and break their faces on the large splits in the pavement.

This is a good place for a quick dog walk or,take your Young kid's to play on the swings.There is s small court on site.

It's a good park. There's a fairly new playground that looks wonderful! I especially love the open space for picnics.
